Had a fantastic afternoon yesterday finding all four caches at Waychinicup met up with 15moonbeams and set off wow!! what a scramble to get Rockhoppers Delight found a goat track to get back then found Welcome to Waychinicup which was full of water however log was dry. Next we decided to walk along the creek to Up The Creek and Upper Pools was truly a fantastic walk took some great photos was just beautiful thank you StamStars for taking us on a fantastic adventure
Just came by to check on this cache - all still in good shape. Happy hunting and enjoy the area!
Beautiful spot. Came down the creek from the road and will attempt river back to the car. TFTC
Staying at Cheynes Beach over the Christmas period, we headed to the Waychinicup Inlet on Christmas morning after having a breakfast of kings
This cache is just perfect for us with a bit of adventure getting there & a prize to find in a magnificent location, you know - one of those places not found if we weren't caching (except that the lady at the caravan park had recommended coming here & she was aware of the cache)
Jase & I headed to the cache whilst the kids explored the pools... We made a quick find in the obvious spot!
TFTC StamStars [^] How lucky are we to be spending xmas here in this special part of the world... Now time to head back to camp for a well earned Aussie Christmas dinner. Cheers.

Thanks to all those who have donated new logs and tried draining this cache - it beats me how so much water gets into sealed (?) containers - must be some physics I don't understand
Anyway, there is now a brand new container with brand new log and nick knacks.
Please make sure the lid is clamped shut properly to avoid the contents getting wet again
Happy hunting!

The cache container was found upside down and the contents are drenched. I have donated a new logbook. An amazing place. Tftc
Geocache found full of water so unable to sign. I emptied water out and placed back in hiding place. A more suitable waterproof container needs to replace this current one. If anyone is trying to locate sandy track as mentioned in description, it is on the road in, 200 mtrs from cache. There are 2 tracks one being a Geocaching trail which is unecessary bush bashing and the mentioned track. It is the track next to the well hidden erosion sign. Found with Panda Dundee. TFTC
I highly recommend closed in shoes and long pants when tackling these caches! Of course I opt for the aussie safety boot - thongs lol
Found with Mingeral!
Cache full of water! Will need maintenance.- unfortunately we have nothing to fix it up with!

Container full of water, will need replacing - we didnt have anything on us at the time too fix it up!
We parked on the side of the main road next to a narrow access track about 200 mts from gz. A quick find, however the log book is saturated making it impossible to write on . We left our name sticker on the inside lid. Will need CO maintenance. Thanks Stamstars.
Nice and easy to find if you can find the track down to it. The container had recently flooded and the notebook was soggy so it wasn’t signed. The trick to finding the case is to find the track. The entrance is covered by a bush but it’s just after the speed bump leave Waychinicup. Good cache
Trecked it through the bush to grab this one, couldnt sign the log as it was severely water logged. Unfortunately had nothing to replace it with.
Took the drive out to Waychinicup on my usual Albany take the in laws somewhere new trip and highlight an area they visited 20 years ago or never at all. Such is the nature of the game and the locations that COs choose to share with you.
Managed 3 quick finds here, and enjoyed the small walk. Showed the “welcome to” cache to the camp ranger, who was most inpressed to see a cache a few meters from his camp!
Cheers for sharing this great spot with us.

Finding a few caches during the Christmas holiday in and around Albany.
Thanks StamStars for the hide.

Just a note to say that while there was somehow water in the cache, the log was dry. Added another zip lock to the log to make double sure, but all is dry and well now.
Happy hunting everyone!

Thanks again to Greg for pointing out the right trail start point. Great walk from camp site to upper part of the river.
Delightful walk. The camp host likes the trail down from the road so is maintaining it somewhat. So only the last little bit was snake country and scratchy. The creek was fairly full so delightfully gurgly and fun to walk along. Doing this cache and the other creek one made a nice little circular walk. Thanks stamstars. Oh I may have signed 2016 instead 0f 2017. Must get the year right before it is gone!
An easy walk, straight-forward find, and wonderful scenic location to explore. This gets a favourite from me for the delightful location - I would never have known these pools existed or come here if it hadn't been for this geocache. A great contribution to the geocaching scene StamStars!
Oh what a treat. First time to have such easy access to the upper pools having always come up along the creek/river as I was unaware of the 4WD track in. Needs to be a warmer day before I go for a swim here.
Time well spent taking the track beside the river southwards other nearby caches. TFTH

Another joint FTF with 3littleblondes who are our geocaching buddies We left this cache to the way out, from where we found the sandtrack easily. Nice walk down to the river. Great to still see so many wildflowers on our way to the cache. Left TB Maple Syrup Bottle Opener Geocoin and TB Breast Cancer Travel Tag Geocoin. Hope someone moves them along soon. TFTC
