Bit of a bush bash to get to the cache but it was full of goodies when i opened it. Nice TFTC.
After a tiny bit of Bush bashing we found the cache. Heaps of swaps, took nothing left nothing. TFTC
Another Parkrun/Geocaching expedition on a cold Saturday morning for us exploring the Lancefeild and Romsy area, a place we often travel through but have never spent the time to explore. Nice easy find with some interesting history tftc
A day out with the reluctant teenagers. Had to bribe the kids with hot chips and gravy but they ended up having a good day in the end. Lovely walk for this one & a reasonable number of swaps including an information booklet for my home town in SA. Everything in good order. Left that for others to learn about the area. TFTC.
Tranquil little area. Birds sound beautiful.
Looked for both trackables logged as in cache, neither present. Wonder if someone has grabbed but not yet logged?

East find, great cache stacked full of swaps. Lots of goodies for the kids. TNLN…

Returning from visiting friends in Walllan after having a great time at the Whittlesea Mega, decided to grab this one. Had to return as I dropped car keys near cache. Note to self, put keys in zipped pocket, not carry in hands! Lucky they were easy to find!
Found it! That ammo can was really hard to open, if anyone else struggles, just put your foot on it and pull the lid up, that’s what I did! I took a dvd and put in a few soft toys, and signed the logbook. Thanks!
The Beckingsale Bushland Reserve has been on my radar for some time as I’m good buddies with the next gen and had the great pleasure of meeting the grand old salt of the earth Jim Beckingsale who, with longevity on his side lived to 104 years. Whilst the family may have dispersed their hearts are connected to Darraweit Guim and the reserve. Now that they know about geocaching and the potential of me to organise a CITO they are excited to energise the local Landcare so this little pocket of nature looking forward might get the TLC it needs to show case it’s big old trees and to be more inviting. Enjoyed making the solid find but not sure what ‘the end’ refers to. TFTC and the fun. A fave for location!
Since we approached this reserve from the Old Sydney Road side we noticed the carpark but continued on.
After finding somewhere to safely turn around +Wife dropped me at the closest point to the cache before heading to the parking area.
With the GeoMutts in the car Christine decided it was best not to let them out in this great little Bushland Reserve.
I found the cache under the first SPOB that was seen.
Always great to find one of these iconic containers.
Dropped a couple of Travel Bugs to continue their adventures.

Heading north via a devious route picking up some isolated caches. This Heading north via a devious route picking up some isolated caches. one on my list and found quickly TFTC Team Ninja
I have driven home through Woodend to Wallan via Romsey many times... but usually so late in the day that it is too late to spend time caching. Today was a bit different... after spending the morning chasing a Multi near Woodend followed by a late lunch there, I had lots of time on my hands... so there were lots of stops on my way to Wallan!
Hmm... as i now write up my Found log, I have read in the description that there is an "entrance" and a "car park". I didn't see either of those... I just stopped (safely) on the side of the road and followed my compass but the shortest route to the cache!
Thanks **Team_Ninja** for putting this cache here.

Found it pretty easily with beautiful views and a gorgeous reserve although track is difficult to make out.
Another beautiful little bushland reserve tucked away in the middle of nowhere.
Amongst houses, property, roads, a small stretch just for nature.
Plus a nice great big ammo can, how good is that. Aysen had a ball pulling this one out, like his Dad, they're his favourites.

Heaps and heaps of rubbish about at this site, and the cache site looks trashed as well.
A huge cache! Nicely hidden. Took a die and chicken, left some other things, including a plate. Malaysia enthusiasts will be pleased.
A reasonably quick find once the GPS devices settled down. Finding a safe parking spot when approached from the direction of Wallan had been an issue necessitating a U-turn. Thanks to Team_Ninja for the cache.
A nice stroll looking for all the different wildflowers

So cool. The GeoKids were stoked with this find and all its goodies. Taken & replaced. TFTC
Wow what a great find so many things in this catch to look at and read Top catch great spot
Found it, thanks My 8 year old friend was thrilled with how much this one contained. Made a couple of swaps and returned it to its hiding spot
Mt Macedon was the choice location today as it provided some varied DT squares plus some information I needed for a further cache. Spiffy was enlisted and we packed varying tools even though they were not required. Dropped my geopartner at work and off we went.
Impressive stash here in cache!
Thanks to Team_Ninja for the placement and fun.

It's been a little while since Fleabag- and I have had a short road trip and today was the day since I didn't need to be watching horses run around at the Melbourne Cup. We headed out of the city up to Mt Macedon and surrounds to find a couple of specific caches and then free style some one the way home.
After getting our main caches for the time we still had a little spare time and we were in the area so drove around town looking for all the caches that were here and were successful as well.
Decided to randomly stop here mainly because Fleabag- is trying to build up his regular size cache count. What a great cache, heaps of swaps, even a coffee mug it has so much space in it...almost a large size I reckon.
Thanks Team_Ninja for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

We found this one today as we set about hitting the 1,000 cache mark today. Find was fairly quick after the GPS settled down and pointed in the right direction. Unfortunately the Geocoin Travel Bug was not in the cache, as we were going swap out the Travel Bug with another, this however did not happen. To Team_Ninja TFTC from the inspectorresteam.
Thanx for the quick find! Love these kind, the ammo tins are awesome! So much room for swaps, this is one of the most full we have come across, and it was good to see quality swaps for a change instead of broken crap! Thanx so much for setting this up! Signed the log, kids swapped a couple things and we replaced and hid as we found!
Friends have told me about how beautiful this Reserve is in spring, full of wildflowers. I was unfortunately a couple of weeks early, most things were still in bud. Still incredibly beautiful, and a couple of things were out. Apparently when the wildflowers are in full bloom, it smells like chocolate here due to chocolate lilies.
As for the cache, it was fantastic to find a regular cache of this type, it’s been a while for me. Well hidden, and a good use of the areas. Thanks Team Ninja!

Visited this one for a check up today and was disappointed to see it completely exposed. Please make sure the cache is well concealed before you leave. A little effort on the part of the finder will help ensure the cache remains here for others to enjoy.
Stocked up the swag and dropped a TB.

Found It..........While up this way delivering parts to a customer it was decided to grab a few caches in the area. After pulling over a quick stroll soon had me at GZ and soon enough the container revealed itself. So with the log signed we continued our journey. Thanks AusieTrainDriver for the cache
Enjoying a little solo road trip whilst in vic from Tas. Many thanks for a nice cache with plenty of room for good swaps! Find 9 today

Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a very well stocked cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Team Boomajarril for the cache.
An interesting piece of bushland. We are not sure what the trees are that you mentioned but this did not take away our appreciation of the area and the ammo can that has so much swag in it. SL TFTC

Out and about in ahomburg's car after the Melbourne's First anniversary event.
A quick stop and fairly easy find on our way to Darraweit Guim. Great to grab a decent sized container after a couple of tiddlers.
Thanks, Team_Ninja

After the Melbourne's first 18th birthday event, I headed out to find some more caches in the area with ahomburg, leafotwind & nirgalagrin.
We were heading in search of a multicache but along the way we stopped off at a few trads because they were there.
A quick stroll on the edge of the bushland reserve had us at GZ where Mark was able to quickly locate the good sized cache.
**Thanks to AussieTrainDriver for placing this cache.**

Find #9829
After the 18th Birthday for Melbourne's first cache, I headed out in the area (And a bit beyond) to find some caches. In the caching party were nirgalagrin, SteMicMitSar and leafotwind. The Sun was shining, the birds were singing, a great day to be out and about.
After my back gave in at the last DNF, we left a couple of our party to head for the city while we did some local drive by's.
Many thanks to Team_Ninja for the cache. TNLN.

Whilst questing for a multi after the event for the anniversary of Melbourne’s 1st cache, myself, ahomburg, SteMicMitSar and nirgalagrin were in the area and parked adjacent to the reserve. Three of us hopped out and had a short walk to GZ. SteMicMitSar and nirgalagrin were first to the structure in question and each took one end. It turns out nirgalagrin got the right end and made a quick find. It’s always good to see an ammo can or even an ammo can sized cache at the end of a hunt as a reward for the search. Thanks for highlighting this reserve and drawing attention to the fact that conservationists and farmers are sometimes not opposed and that conservationism has been around now for quite some time.
Away for a long weekend of caching with Freddo and Four Fun.
Over 300 caches in 4 days means that the logs will be mainly generic.
The main target of our mission was to finish off the Mt Disappointment series. We achieved our target along with other caches as we headed east and then west.
My apologies for the generic logs.
