Thought we would take the scenic route back to Brissy today. Log signed with SCAHPA signed as CS43 to save room, very clever teeny tiny find!! - TFTC!!
Spent a while searching for this one all we found was a little green tree snake hanging on the fence. Will return another day for another crack
That is quite the tree and I am impressed with how they have placed it in protection. A nice quick find here. Thanks wombles and co
Solo venture today.
Decided to hit a few around Bellmere. This made for a nice quick find.

Found today on our second attempt back. No dog on the neighbouring yard, so much easier to search without drawing attention.

DNF today… bad timing on our part.
Arrived at GZ just as the sun was setting, which made finding this one impossible without sunlight.
Dogs over fence were also an issue. Will be back another day in better stealth mode.

Mr10 and I had to hang around this area for a whole day, waiting to see if Miss12 was going to be ok staying at school camp before we drove back home without her. That meant 4 hours of caching and exploring in a heat wave. Mr10 was not impressed, not one bit. So I turned it into a competition - who was going to find the most caches. He upped the anti and wanted $3 if he won. Hmmmm 4 hours of non-whingey caching for $3. I'm in! I even made sure he won. At one point he did admit that although he "wasn't having fun" he was "enjoying himself"
Spending the morning caching from Toorbul through to Caboolture…
I had plans to continue on from here, but every cache I visited after this one had some sort of activity going on nearby…
A relatively quick find… tftc…

wombles and co I found your cache The Enchanted Wood on 1/9/2022, 10:55 am. This is my find 4065 and find # 5 today. A quick and easy find. Didn’t wake up the dog. What a massive tree. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Another nice drive around this area finding caches and this is one we found. Parked in the street close by and soon spotted the cache. The log was very damp but we did manage to put our signature on it and replaced as found. Thanks wombles and co for another smiley.
Out and about with Alycem89 to grab a few caches in the area while enjoying the beautiful weather we’re having.
After grabbing another cache nearby we continued down the path towards this one. I spotted the huge fig tree in the distance and asked Alycem89 if that’s were the cache was located and indeed it was…kind of, but Alycem89 instructed me to look at my GPS and I noticed GZ so still a fair distance away from were we standing, I guess it pays to read the hint. After adjusting our position slightly the cache was in hand a short time later.
Beautiful tree! Thanks for bringing us here.

Amazing tree and beautiful reading in the plaque. Took two of my kidlets with me to search for this one. Took a little bit but once found it was in plain site. Thanks for bringing us to this location

Me and my family had went caching when we found this, it was pretty tricky as we searched the massive tree. Eventually after getting scared to death by someones dog, we found it. TFTC!!
Had to read the plaque. Thanks for the hint, I'd have spent 2 weeks searching the wrong area love this quiet part of town
Had 5 caches on the list for a quick morning hunt with my 2 geokids and jodsta83. This was the second one on our list.
Walking through the bushes we crunched along trying not to make too much noise. That's a hard task with 2 kids that don't stop talking and then the eldest one helping out about stink bugs! After a little bit of searching we soon found it. Signed it and returned it before the stench of the bugs took over. Eww TFTF

Took us a while to spot this sneaky little cache. Thankfully there were no muggles about and no dogs as the geokids were intent on making our presence known today. We left our mark and replaced as found. Tftc
Set off to badminton a little early to pick up a few caches on the way. This was the third on my list of remaining caches to find in Bellmere.
It took a little while to locate the container as I was trying to be super quiet so the dog I could hear on the other side of the fence didn't go crazy whilst I was searching the GZ. I didn't want the person at the house venturing out to see what all the kafuffle was.
Once I'd found the cache I took it over to a seat by the amazing tree to complete the paperwork.
Thanks!!

This was our second attempt at this cache as previously we had been spooked by a nearby dog barking profusely. Today, all was quiet, so the geowife made a dash for it and the GPS led her right to the hide. Thanks for showing us this beautiful tree. The Magic Faraway Tree stories were the geowife’s favourite books growing up, so a favourite point for the memories. TFTC
Beautiful tree! Thanks for the cache. Didn't even know this stunning tree exsisted!
This took way longer to find than I expected. I was pretty sure I was in the right area, and I thought I knew what I was looking for, but I just couldn't spot it. Recalibrate my GPS to check the right GZ, and keep looking from different angles until the correct silhouette came into view. TNLNSL TFTC
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC *440* streak. *2697* Finds
Swooped on Caboolture today chasing green boxes ... hmmm, I do not know why that took so long to spot. I was there so long the dogs got bored and went back to sleep before I finally saw it bold as brass in my eye line. And yes, like others have said - what an amazing tree.
Thanks wombles and co for entertaining me at this location.

Wow, what an amazing tree!!! We were really lucky that this was one of the randomly selected caches that we did as we passed through Caboolture today.
There were muggles in the yards of the houses on both sides of the tree when we pulled up but after a short wait they had disappeared so we were free to search.
Mr Beetle is fairly good at these and spotted it fairly quickly. It was a very squeaky cache to screw open and close though and I was really hoping that the neighbouring muggle had really gone inside and wasn't still in his yard!!!
Mr Beetle reckoned it would be fun to come here and start a chainsaw!!! That might get the neighbours excited!!!
Thanks, and a favourite point from us for bringing us here.

Chasing after a few caches in the local area today, trying to convert a few to smilies as I go.
This was cache 2 today.
Walked in to GZ, grass still a bit wet, but the sun was out and shining bright!
Looked through the bushes at GZ, had to walk back and forth a bit until found something that looked good. Leaning against the fence with the log when the big dog barked about 3 inches behind me. Damn, scared the hell out of me. I had not read the last post and had not expected it. Got the job done and out of there quickly.

Great tree, it really does look enchanted. Had a good search despite a big dog barking incessantly on the other side of the fence. In the end, felt too uncomfortable with the canine attention so gave up...
Our second time to this spot as the first time the house occupants were in the garden visible through the fence and we felt we couldn't hunt for the cache making crunching noises underfoot so close to their fence so we aborted the search. This time all was quiet at GZ and it was a quick find.
Second cache of the day! Before looking for this cache we did go and read the plaque which was very sweet, then we started our search and found the cache.

Found after a couple of minutes all goodwith the cache on a road trip from Tassie
I don't know how we missed this the first time, but we got the yellow smiley today and had a little dance as some much needed rain appeared I do hope we get enough to cool the place down.
**XOXO** ... The rest of the world is still celebrating Valentine's Day, and Groundspeak's Cupid has sent out some arrows to cachers and their dnfs. This was our quest for today

we searched the property line, all fencing and admired the tree .. no luck today - we either missed it or it's missing
I'd kind of had a magical run finding some caches before picking up my daughter from school and decided on the "just one more" mantra to finish the day. I was taking the gamble that the King St intersection at Caboolture was flowing and the gamble paid off. Suckers!
It was nice to finally find a cache where I wasn't dodging mud or puddles and thankfully the rain held off for the afternoon. At times, the sun was even poking through. Outrageous!
Signed the log in quiet and quickly admired the tree before beginning the school time rat race to Caboolture TAFE. Arrived with 5 minutes to spare and even had time to scrape some mud off my shoes. tftc

Got it, signed it & returned it. Beautiful little park, loved the old Moreton Bay Fig tree. TFTC
Beautiful tree here, no wonder it is fenced off. A quick search revealed what I was looking for and the log was signed and replaced as found. TFTC
What a glorious tree!
Mowing muggle was eyeing me suspiciously but managed to locate cache quickly.

What a beautiful tree, so majestic!! Thank you for putting a cache here so we could see it!
What a beautiful old tree - the meter man looked at me funny when I emerged from the bushes haha - thanks for bringing me to this place
Out and about in the area finding all of those caches I have not found on past visits.
After finding the 'new ones' around Ewen Dam I am now heading south and home.
But it could that all day with all of these caches to find as I zig-zag my way through Caboolture.
A quick find here after waiting for the kids to move on.
Thanks for the cache.

Checking our map & there are way too many green spots around Caboolture for our liking! LOL ...
Time to make a few changes!
16 of 30 found today!
Despite there being several muggle children playing & riding their bikes nearby we still managed another quick find here.
Replaced the tether with one of it's kind as it was too tight.
Signed & replaced as found.

Took a while to locate this one. Good hide. The log is fast falling apart and would benefit from a replacement.

This Day in History
Thursday, February 28, 1574. : In conjunction with the Spanish Inquisition, three people are burned at the stake in Mexico, convicted of espousing "Lutheran heresies".
During the period of the Spanish Inquisition which lasted from the late 15th century to the 17th century, thousands of Jews and Muslims were executed for their "heretical" beliefs amidst a predominantly Roman Catholic population. Many people sought to escape the persecution, fleeing to the Americas. They were assisted by numerous explorers and "conquistadors" of the New World. Because of this, the Inquisition travelled over to the Americas, and on 27 June 1535, Brother Juan de Zumárraga, the first bishop of Mexico, was the named the Chief Inquisitor of New Spain. This resulted in the "Mexican Inquisition", which was also directed at the suppression of heresy.
The Mexican Inquisition was not limited to persecution of Jews: any heretical books, especially those referring to the "Lutheran heresy", were banned from entering the territory. The first victims of the Mexican Inquisition were two Englishmen and an Irishman, who were pronounced guilty of "Lutheran Heresies" and burned at the stake in Mexico City on 28 February 1574.
