Decided to finish off my visit to the area by collecting the caches in this series that I missed on the first attempt. Easy park, easy sit and easy find.
Another quick find in the series here this morning and I was on my way again quickly. TFTC!
With two kids at school and a sick baby asleep in the pram I decided today was a good day to tackle this series on foot. Found all the available hides. I parked near this hide and it was the first cache I attempted today but at first I was overcome with anxiety by the location of GZ so it wasn't until I walked past again later in the day that I got the courage to have a good look for this cache. Am I correct to assume this was placed with permission? Find 6 of 9 today. TFTC - and getting my heart racing.
Going out for some caching on a bright autumn Sunday, we decided to head down to the southern suburbs.
After having done a couple of the Sutherland Shire Cycleways, we decided to go for some of the Jungle Book caches. Was impressed by the references to the original Jungle Book texts, and not only to the Disneyfied version. Having been a cub scout as a kid, I fondly remember the stories which were read at each meeting.
When arriving at GZ, a muggle just exited from the nearby house, doing something on his car parked outside. It took forever for him to finish, while we had to wait around the corner. Finally he was done, and we could search properly and quickly found the hidden cache.

On the way to this cache, I passed several of my caching friends looking for the same list of caches I was doing today. They apparently were doing them in the opposite order as me. Another 400 feet to go and this cache was found at 1000. SL TFTC. Greetings from Arizona, USA.
The answer is, yes. There was. But it appeared to have not been found since the recent rains since it was semi buried under lots of soggy leaf litter.
I finally managed to get back and find this one since it was replaced. Now it will help me to reach my 4000th find today.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
I'm over from NZ for a wedding and to spend some time with my brother who lives local. I thought I'd walk around and get as many of this series as I could. It was very difficult to be discreet here as there were some nearby tradies busy working but I eventually saw a gap and got my hand on the cache and then discovered that I had lost my pen somewhere between this one and the last one so couldn't sign the log. TFTC
TFTC. Not going in the right number order but still having fun! Thanks. A good biking day out with my boys.
Next on this morning's pre-brekky sojourn around the area, I finally nabbed it at 07:35 after waiting out a few passing muggles.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Team MavEtJu.

Got to love last free periods. This was a bit risky as there were some workers across the road. Feeling quite daring I poked my head in a quickly spotted the camo unlike last time. Thanks for the cache! Gah, I have trouble making my mind up on my username. Eventually changed it back to my original one.
Find #1560 - 10 for today. Found on 8/02/2015 12:01 pm
4th in the Jungle book series, Had to look in a couple of places before I found it. Thanks. TNSLLN

Nice quick find, just as well as the garage door adjacent was open and didn't want to bump into anyone!

After reading Wilbert67 logs, I went back to it and behold, it had sunk down into the leaves all the way to the ground. I fetched my SCUBA gear and dived it back up. Thanks Wilbert67!
Me Ikki of 1st Albion Park can confirm this cache is exactly were it should be! Or was it just replaced? No hold on all the logs were in there so it must have been the original one!! No problem here.
TFTC Wilbert67
Love this series as I am a cubleader at 1st Albion Park scouts! I think all the caches were very suitable for cubs and they would have a ball finding them all!

Was hoping I could find this one as my cub scout leader gave me this name due to my spikey hair. Presumably it is lost because of the trend of DNFs.
Like others couldn't find this one... although i didn't look too long worried about the nearby loungeroom with tv on in it and discouraged by previous DNF's.
We too looked for this one and came up empty handed. I must say, I did feel quite exposed searching for it!
I must have moved a ton of leaves here today, all for no result...lots of things in the leaves, just no cache that I could find.
After the meeting decided to do a few others in the series. Its hot now not many muggles about.
The first time I read about the Jungle Book and the Cub connection was when I was in Cubs, and later when my son was in Cubs (he's now 42 ). I like the series by Team MavEtJu and the research involved. TN Left a small peg and signed the log. Visited a TB. TFTC Team MavEtJu

Out for the morning with the Odlids this one was a case of quick glance around and go for it... and quickly as this is a very exposed position - thankfully we didn't seem to be noticed.
Thanks for this series Team MavEtJu as an ex-Cub leader that hasn't visited this area very much I am enjoying the series. Thanks also to pipersand for the geo-company!
Muggles with brooms, so a quick (hopefully) un-noticed grab was in order.

#1172 (6 of 9 today)
Back in the Shire today, and grabbed some caches both before and after visiting friends.
By the end of the day, I had two new D/T combinations, including my first 5/5 cache.

Left friends' home, and had noticed the Jungle Book series published during my earlier hunts. Why not.
So came back here in the dark to try to grab them.
Not quite as quick a find, and I was a lot more self conscious here searching by torchlight. Finally found it and took it well away from GZ to complete signing duties.
I hope the nearby residents know this is here...

TFTC,
Joint FTF with Nana Nel. Given the time between publication and our visit, we didn't think we had a chance at a FTF let alone 4 FTF's. It is in a position that you hope the neighbors are aware of it's presence.
This series took me back to my involvement in the Scouting movement in the 60's. Great to see that there is still a strong connection.
Visited a group of trackables.
