What a perfect day to search for a Geocache. The weather was spot on! No wind, no rain, temp was at a cool 19 degrees and I was visiting a place I had never been too before.I was lucky enough to be chauffeured by Mr Sims_Family who had his eyes on a couple of challenge caches that I'm WAY off from claiming. After getting what was needed throughout the day to help get this cache, we parked at the closest spot possible and made the walk up Thanks for the hide and adventure!!
Donutholes and I planned the day at Mount Beckworth to grab everything we could around the back of the mountain. The weather for the day was magnificent and we had a ball enjoying the wonderful space. The Ginja Ninja made short work of all the trails getting us close with only short walk to most of the caches.Thank you wozzle68 for the series

Another few hours mopping up most of the remaining caches on Mt Beckworth. The rain had settled in, but with no wind was not unpleasant. Cache easily found. TFTC.

We can tell you we love playing this game .
Beckworth Beckons, what an awesome series of caches. The variety of caches were exciting, and you were not sure what you would come across next. Some of the puzzles were testing, and it turned out we had to leave one behind as we could not solve it in time for our trip. All in all a superb set of caches wozzle68.
Found and signed with dalerious on a Mt Beckworth adventure. dalerious told me about the mount Beckworth challenges and series of caches not long after we met. We were looking forward to the day that would take us to this wonderful place, with it's varied assortment of cache types. It had so many positives. We had a full list, as usual, and I am so proud to say that we ticked off everything on it, and more!
We were staying in Clunes as our base for this long weekend and started our first night here with the Adlabs and their respective bonus caches .
We ended up cleaning out Clunes, all but one trad which we are sure is missing.
Our time in this town, and on Mt Beckworth was memorable . I was so excited searching for an archived cache in a secret cave. It never ceases to amaze me what you can achieve with a little pinch of determination and a whole lot of encouragement from dalerious .
We thank all the CO's for providing and maintaining the caches undertaken here. So grateful to you all .

Found day 3 of a somewhat impromptu solo caching and camping trip to Victoria from Adelaide.
I had planned to spend a week travelling, caching and camping along the Great Ocean Road, but my travelling companion had to postpone it due to other commitments. I was still keen to go away somewhere this week as well, so decided to head to the western part of the state on my own.
I created a bit of a 'menu' of specific caches of interest in the broad area that I might be in before I left home and just pottered along fairly casually, taking in the sights and grabbing what I could along the way.
I wasn't actually planning to visit this area, but I somehow managed to end up here and it was a good place to camp with what looked like some interesting walks and caches to find.
This morning I walked up to the summit and back from Manna Gums, finding this cache along the way.
After finding the prerequisite caches to obtain the required numbers I retraced my steps slightly to this one. The cache was quickly found and was in good order.
Thanks wozzle68 for the puzzle and the cache.

It's been a long time coming! Or more to the point, we've been a long time coming to this cache
We got the first four clues way back in October of 2019. The last two today, although one of those was nearly a DNF. But finally we had all the information and could sign the log!

We have decided to head off for a couple of days, with no particular destination in mind. As we stopped for lunch in Clunes, we decided to check out Mt Beckworth as a possible spot to camp for a couple of nights. It certainly helped that there is plenty of caches on offer, and we have solved most of the puzzles. Had most of the numbers needed for this one and narrowed the search area down. Was about to give up, and was just standing looking around then I spied the cache. The cache was in excellent condition. Thankk you for this cache wozzle68

Find #4491
Mystery Find #818**
I headed out with Steve on our first caching run since before the second lockdown. Ballarat, Mount Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick were our targets for today. We managed to put together some reasonable co-ords despite still having one cache in the series to find. We were a little out, but Steve managed to find this cache regardless.
**Thank-you to wozzle68 for placing this geocache**

*Found on the 14 Nov 2020 @ 1:26 pm.*
*Cache find # 11081.*
I had collected all the clues but one to solve these coordinates last time I was here but I didn’t realise until we were looking for it as I had just put a middle number in the see what area it was going to be, the cache was eventually found, then we head to the cache that had the number I was missing next.
Finally we are able to get out and about so we headed for Mt.Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick.
I have been to Mount Beckworth a number of times now to try to find them all and after today it was nearly done but there are still 4 remaining, maybe one day.

I managed to collect five of the numbers on me visits to this beaut area
But that sixth number was thwarted by muggles today !! [:o]
With only one number missing,
it was never going to be too hard to find this cache
And after a stumble up a hill,
I arrived at me fuzzy GZ.
Proceeding through the 10 possible spots where this cache might be hidden,
I soon spied a really good hiding spot for it
Gotcha !! [^]

Yes I did get up here, glad it was the first one this morning, no way could I have done it later in the day.
dalerious explained the meaning of the title and why that object was there.
Thanks for placing it here for our enjoyment and entertainment.
Looking forward to hopefully seeing you at one of the Leap Day events later today, I want to play a game with you

A stunning morning after some really wild weather the last few days. Back at Beckworth to finish off the last outstanding caches, this being one of them. A quick find at GZ and we continued on our way. TFTC
A bit more of a hike in here, and the anxiety had gone up since reading about the big brownie. Farrrrk that! Just kept eyes on the ground and looked for anything wriggling.
Old mate here has seen better days and wasn't much left of him, however a great theme none the less. Thanks for a cool series here.

Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch and MazzyMay. We collected all the clues then set off to find this one. A bit more challenging terrain-wise than the rest that we did today. TFTC
Logged as Nicnax with PapaGrouch and SciFiRulz. We headed out today to enjoy the adventure at Mount Beckworth and were not disappointed. After the ease of the previous caches that contained the clues, this one created more of a physical challenge for me, enjoyed the whole experience. FPT TFTC
We had arrived in this very beautiful area yesterday evening, and by the end of a thoroughly enjoyable late afternoon/early evening geocaching hike we had found 11 of the caches in the area. We then spent last night at Manna Gums campsite. This morning we set off on foot for what our GPS recorded as having been a 7 hour, 13 kilometre geocaching hike, with a total ascent of 585 meters and a total descent of 561 meters. After returning to our waiting hired cache-mobile we then drove on to find the rest of the caches in the area. We then spent a second night at Manna Gums campsite before leaving the Reserve, by which time the Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve had become one of our all time favourite places we have visited in Australia - plus of course we left this geocaching playground with a full house of smilies! - not to mention the thrill of a gorgeous little Echidna who late in the day walked right up to me and then sat down between my feet - I felt so privileged! This was the last cache for us to search for today, and so having found all 6 numbers required at the various caches we updated our GPS with the corrected co-ordinates and then made our way towards Ground Zero, amazingly enough hardly repeating any of our geocaching route of earlier today. We soon found the cache, signed the log book and then re-attached the mask back into place. Thanks so much for the cache and a favourite point for a perfect end to the day - and now back to Manna Gums campsite for a second night of wonderful solitude having not seen another sole in over 30 hours! Greetings from Zimbabwe
TFTC. We had visited this cache last year , only to discover that the original sign had been removed and replaced by a new style. This was the first opportunity we have had since then to revisit. We had a mission today we wanted to get as many of the caches on Mount Beckworth as possible today to get closer to meeting the 400 with a twist challenge. There are also two caches here that will fill in a number on the D/T grid and also a month on the Ausmer challenge.
After finding the last clue we calculated GZ. Parked the vehicle and walked too GZ for a quick find.

So close and yet so far. We had been so close to this one yesterday but didn't have all the necessary clues then. Back today with all the clues and a find for this cache. Thanks for its placement.
If only we had collected everything needed yesterday, bugger. Remedied that today and went back to find this cache. Oh so close yesterday. Thanks for the cache.
Can you believe it? We had literally been within 40m of this when we were exploring the reserve yesterday! Now with all the clues we homed straight in on the prize.

A day of caching with pprass and Xambo4u. We had some 4wding fun earlier in the day up on top of the hill from the northern end and we were now making our way through some of the lower areas picking up caches as we went.
I had previously found some of the clues for this bonus cache back in Easter, we added to that list today with some more finds and pprass had the clue for the one last cache I haven't found yet. So with all of us contributing we had the cords we needed and succeeded in our search for the final, thx to pprass noticing a clue some distance away from all of our projected GZs. Then after signing the log we found the remainder of the marker slightly downhill from the cache and returned it.
Thx wozzle68 for an interesting variety of puzzles making up this series.

Found at 12:39 PM GAFF1 in the company of perpetuallylost and xambo4u.
We looked and looked around a good pile of rocks and timber where the GPSr was pointing, but nothing. Then at a distance of about 15 metres we spotted a broken mask lying on the ground. Looking around we then found where that mask was attached and as we went over there we found a suspicious looking pile of rocks - and the cache! Co-ords in the end were not too bad - about 7 - 8 metres.
Thanks wozzle68.

Fun collecting the clues, one we had to revisit, one we found a few years ago.
Nice location. Shame we have enough time, running out of daylight.

Found on my way across to Ballarat to attend the Hidden Creatures Debut Dinner event. Had collected the coordinate fragments on previous visits but only today had the chance to find this one. Managed to put a scratch on a front wheel arch flare while reversing down the access track.
Thanks wozzle68 for placing this cache.

I wasn't attending the mega this weekend, so I thought the "Easter Escape" event at Mount Worth sounded like a nice day trip, so I planned to attend, and just see whatever happened thereafter. We gathered the clues for this throughout the afternoon, and this was my last cache for the day. Nice easy find at GZ.
During the day, I wasn't paying a lot of attention to whose caches they were. I knew a lot of them belonged to Wozzle68, but only now when home and logging them, I realise that ever single one of my 21 caches today was by him. What a very wozzle68 day it was. He OWNS this reserve. Thanks for all the caches today, wozzle68.

After the nearby relaxing event Muzza and I set off to gather as many nearby caches as we could signing about another 2 dozen. Armed with all the clues to give the final coords Muzza drove reasonably close to GZ and walked the final few metres to claim this bonus prize A favourite point for all the work in placing these and all the fun I’ve had in finding them Thanks wozzle68
Back to Mount Beckworth again for the second day in a row, this time armed with a Muggle husband and a slightly tougher car (well older/rustier which means I can bush bash and puddle hop a little more).
I finally had the co-ords for this one and so although the rest of the family was a bit over geocaching for the day, I talked them in to just one more with the promise of take away for dinner.
The walk was a tough one as we came from too far up adding quite a bit of unnecessary length and terrain to our walk.
The ground was incredibly wet, soft & slippery and although I was taking the utmost care, as we neared GZ, I fell flat on my bum much to a mix of horror and delight from the geo-kids boo09 & neisha07. Thankfully with the squishy ground it didn't hurt but I palmed off the GPS to the kids who completed the last 25m while Mum sat on the ground covered in mud needing a bit of a rest. Never mind the fact that it was about 4 degrees...
I heard a squeal and assumed a spider but turns out the cache has a sneaky component. The kids delivered the cache to me and it was signed while still on the ground. (With a dodgy ankle, ross river fever, an abdominal hernia and an incredibly slippery, mossy, muddy ground, I was not looking forward to the getting back up part!)
The cache was replaced and after I grudgingly agreed to a photo it was time for the inevitable. Muggle husband lent me a hand up but before he even attempted anything, he too was on the ground. The kids almost hit the ground as well with all of the giggling that followed! Muggle Dad wasn't having a bar of photo proof much to our annoyance.
We made like a dogs with worms and slid our way off the slippery moss and rock area to some dryer grass and finally got back up on our feet. Phew! *Note to self, really need to invest in some proper hiking shoes with grip!
As is always the case, our trip was so much quicker and easier on the way back.
Glad to finally have these knocked off. A great series, well deserving of a fave point.
Thanks wozzle!

Hmmmm, now that mask was scary!
Woo hoo, I got to do Mr Beckworth with the fabulous CO himself.....I feel very privileged as it was a super awesome day filled with cool driving tracks and lots of walking. [^]
Well what an unexpected wonderful adventure this week turned out to be! I was meant to be in Alice Springs, but plans needed to change, so a relaxing trip to Victoria was the go.
Wozzle68 and I buddied up, and we ended up being great travel companions [^]....OMG, so much laughter , loud music [^], off-key singing and fun was had [:o)] [^]. We also teamed up with ChooknChunk and travelled in convoy to attend Mildura for '3 States in a Day' caching and events. What a great 4-some we made [^]....certainly brilliant dynamics [^], fabulous conversations [^] and loads of giggles [^]. I then stayed in Ballarat for a few days which was great fun.

After three different trips to this area, this afternoon was the opportunity to find this final cache. Thanks for bringing me to this area quite close to home but somewhere I knew nothing about. The unique features and the interesting terrain make for a fabulous destination. Thanks wozzle68, a favourite for this series from me.
Today I was in the company of Ausfox; and Na'wal. There had been a bit of chatter about Mt.Beckworth recently, so we decide to give this series a crack. I had never been here before, so I was really looking forward to it. We knew it was going to be warm and even though our phones said it was 31 degrees, it felt a lot warmer than that by early afternoon. Apart from a couple of walkers around the back of the mountain, we had the whole area to ourselves. We finally made it to the end. After losing litres of sweat in the heat, it all came down to this. Even though we were missing one number, we were able to make the find. A clever touch at the final hide. A fave point for an enjoyable day out. TFTC wozzle68

Today was planned with a cache trip to Ballarat and the Mt. Beckworth area for another geocaching adventure. DAB, Ausfox and myself met early, packed the geo vehicle with plenty of drinks as we knew today was going to be a hot day and we were on our way. We made it to our destination for the day and were greeted with a very hot Mt. Beckworth. Plenty of tall, dry grass which would have been a snakes paradise but thankfully none were seen. We were very worried by the number we were missing. We tried a number of ideas and thought we were in with a chance to find this one with our numbers, area was roughly agreed upon from another finder. Bingo! Good guess work and the cache was found. Stamped and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing this puzzle cache and series wozzle68**
**Cache container and log in good condition**

Joined up with Na'wal and DAB to spend the day caching around Ballarat and Mt Beckworth. I'm glad we stocked up with fluids as as the temperature soared. With the long dry grass we were weary of snakes.
After having a DNF on Devoid we were one crucial number down. We went through the numbers working out proximity to other caches found and with Letterbox Hybrid instructions from GemmaSistema we were able to narrow down GZ to make a greatful find.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache wozzle68

Kenare said when I'm old enough I can watch these movies! It was funny when Saen.75 told us to be careful because it's slippery and then he slipped!! tftc
Drove up as far as I could then walked the rest of the way to Gz. Got a bit of a laugh when we arrived there as this is one of kenares favourite movies. Cigc. Tftc
We worked this out ages ago and decided we would keep it for the mystery month challenge but never ended up using it. Today was the day to finish off Mt Beckworth. The usual crew met up and off we went.
It's hard to say 'I want to play a game' without sounding like Jigsaw! Lol

Well this was going to be a big day for Suscoe.
Up early and off with long shadows stretching across the ground in the early morning.
A sunny day with the temperature around 30 degrees during the afternoon was going to be warm but thankfully a breeze sprung up during the morning and kept going all day and so it cooled Suscoe down at times when it was most needed.
This was the 24th find of the day.
We followed the requirements and found what we needed.
Sorted out the way to go and enjoyed playing the game a great deal.
Thanks to wozzle68 for a terrific day out.
Had such fun being the only person in the park for the whole day it appears.
A favourite for the series!!!!!!!!
WELL DONE!

Love it, love it, love it. One of my favourite movie series and a terrific end to the day by not only finding all the clues but sitting next to Billy while the log was filled in. Thank you for a fantastic series Wozzle68, had a blast on the mountain and surrounding trails.

Out caching with geodaddy on beckworth beckon's series like where you hid the cache. thanks wozzle
Found with GemmaSistema after attending a nearby event, GemmaSistema had managed to solve this one, and I was glad to be along for the ride, although I did have a few numbers, I will return to complete the series, but at this time was glad for GemmaSistemas 4WD for get to this one, and sign the log. Glad I was able to spot the possible hiding place so the unloved could be claimed by GemmaSistema. Thanks Wozzle68
Enjoy caching with Shamus1, Everlasting and The Morris who drive us into the bushland.
Found by Mary & David with Alansee at 1615. Our final cache for the day, and a real bonus. Gathered all the numbers during the day as we gradually completed the others in the series, and plotted the corrected GZ on the map to see where it was and see where it would fit with our plans. Turned out it was best left until last. Found a side track that led in the direction of GZ and parked just a short walk from the cache. Found the container after a short search, and loved the cache guardian. What a great day we've had around the Mt Beckworth Scenic Reserve! A favourite point here for the series as well as those we've posted for some of the individual caches. Our thanks to wozzle68.
Found with Maccamob today once we had all the figures in place. Found easily enough once we widened the search a little.

After the nearby event the geokids and I decided to grab a few more caches. We also had cherad in the car so the three boys were happily amused for the most part. I had come prepared with the 4WD to tackle some of these. A nice easy find here. I had the coords for this one from a previous visit but needed the 4WD to get us closer (last time I was in 2WD and kids were over it). I checked this one a few days ago and luck would have it that it hasn't been found in over 6 months. With soccer this morning and then the event I wasn't hopeful of claiming the unlove but luck was on my side. I opened the logbook to find no recent finds. Yah for me! Claiming the unlove here. Thanks

Find number 24 of 40, around Mount Beckworth today. With all the clues this one was easy, the track to GZ proved to be tricky but not too tricky for the Jeep! Thanks for the cache, and the series wozzle68.

Wow what a finale!
We really enjoyed exploring Mt Beckworth via your series. The variety of terrain out here is spectacular and the variety and creativity of your caches made for a really enjoyable experience.
Now for some food!
Thank you for all the work you have put in to make this a memorable series.

Well it had been a great old day here at Mt. Beckworth. I have to admit I do prefer caching in the cooler weather, that really does make a big difference.
However I love coming to a place to find a variety of caches. The bonus cache....well that's a bonus.
I decided to wander in from the main track today, and have to admit, I jumped a little at GZ. Wasn't quite expecting that.
Anyhow, I soon found that cache and placed my name into the log.
Yippeee.
Thanks for this cache and the entire series Wozzle68.

After collecting all the bits it was a quick dash up the hill while Mr Morris completed the puzzle down below. With the camper on the back we didn't risk making it a drive by but we probably could have.

Kept my fingers crossed that I had my numbers right. Oh, so pleased to see the cache in its hidey hole.
All completed now except for one that I will go past again.
TFTC and all the fun in the heat today. No slithery things, a geat variety of well executed cache and beautiful scenery.
A fav for the series.

And so the grand adventure was over. This was appropriately the last cache that I found in the reserve today despite having the cords for a couple of hours whilst I went off on other adventures.
I don't think I could have picked a better day for it weather wise at this time of year. I felt like I had the whole place to myself.
Lots of interesting caches, great puzzles and creative hides. No two caches were alike.
Went for a stroll to get this one even though I could have driven closer.
Thanks wozzle68 and another favourite point for the whole series.

Wow what an outstanding collection of caches – variety, surprise, fun and ingenuity all around Mt Beckworth! We had a great day working our way around the series with our caching pals Ian & Penny.
This was a great way to finish playing the game around Mt Beckworth. This cache and the whole series deserves a favourite point!
Thanks to wozzle68 for the hunt.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cache run today, it took us to some wild and wonderful places - and the scenic views from some spots were absolutely stunning despite the rain. We definitely wouldn't have found all these wonderful places if it weren't for our obsession.
(Please excuse our cut 'n' paste logs today.)[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2 metres from where the GPS said we should be looking. [:(!]
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Novelty Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

Found with SUlly and Tess on our tour of Beckworth. This was the last of the day after gathering the necessary numbers. Quick find thankfully, it had been a hot and steamy day. Thanks wozzle68, adding a fave for the efforts here.
We had gathered all the necessary "fragments" throughout the day in order to be able to score the Bonus cache. Last cache out here today before heading home via the Souvalaki Bar for takeaway Dinner. It was Bogonghazy who spotted this one first, we made our marks in the log, and said Farewell to Beckworth for the day. Thanks wozzle68, we've had a super day out here today. Loved the variety of hides and caches, a bit of everything tossed in. We got to see some fantastic views throughout the day as well. Adding a fave for the last of the day and the last in this series for us. Cheers, Lisa.
Worked a 12 hour night shift then picked up my chauffeur, and we drove straight to Mount Beckworth (when I say we, BettyBoo3747 did all the driving, and I did all the snoozing!)
We arived about 9am and spent about 5 hours (including lunch), travelling around doing the Beckworth Beckons series. An excellent collection of caches with quite a bit of variety.
We started cross country to this one when we noticed the track! A short walk up the hill and the final was ours!
I think you will find that these container are 400ml sistemas
Very satisfying to complete the final - now to see if we can get the first one on the way out.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 7137. Robmc and I left Williamstown at 7.00am headed for the new series at Mt Beckworth. After reading a few logs saying how long they took and the trickiness of some of the hides I was filled with dread. Especially seeing the first simple one of the series was a DNF on the way in, after a very long search.
At last, the last one of the series and time to see if we played the game right on the way around. We tried to drive to the cache once we found the track but didn't really achieve much by doing that. Another little trudge up another hill and we were soon as GZ. A little bizarre here and I was expecting flashing lights at night time maybe? but then noticed the sockets were empty. We have added our names to the relatively empty log book and now it is time to visit #1 again and see if we have better luck on the way out.
Thanks wozzle68

Spent the afternoon doing this new series on our day off and catching up with family. It's always great to cache in the country smelling all the fresh smells of the bush and listening to the birds, so beats caching in the city trying to avoid Muggles!
We loved the diversity of caches and the planning gone into this series. Certainly deserves a favourite from us.
Thanks Wozzle68 for the fantastic series and for bringing us here to enjoy this beautiful nature reserve.

Find No. 759. Found with FUF009 at 5.54pm.
With FUF009 and our Geo dog Penny, we all headed off for a day's caching to do the Beckworth Beckons series which is a relatively new trail put out by Wozzle68 who we met for the first time at our events in October.
After getting all the required numbers for the co-ords and piecing them all together we made tracks to the final destination.
The effort in this cache made for a good ending to our day. Took lion - Left dinosaur.
Thanks to wozzle68 for a great series of many varied caches.

After making a decision to spend the day caching together, I hitched a ride with Tyred n Cranky and their Geo dog Penny down to do this relative new series of caches.
After spending the full day in the area caching this series, meeting up with friend and having a lot of laughs and even getting caught in the rain didn't dampen our spirits (only our clothes)
With all the numbers obtained for the final we were on the way to GZ. on approach to GZ I had to have a laugh at the relationship between the name of the cache and the item hanging in the tree. a nice touch to the end of a big day. well worth a fave.

At last the final, where we could put all those numbers to good use. This has been a great series we we have enjoyed today, it has tested our skills as well as testing our new GPS. I think your series won over the GPS but I guess that is a learning curve that we need to overcome.
Thanks again wozzle and we look forward to catching up sometime soon.

After finding all but one of the caches with Fergzter we went to find this one. the cache was quickly found once at the GZ, a great little hide. TFTC.
After finding all the required information dotted around Mt Beckworth we headed back to near where we started to make the find on this hide. The item near the GZ seemed familiar to me and it was a bit creepy as it stared at us as we signed the log. TFTC Wozzle68
Found by Roma and Max.
Finally having all the necessary numbers we arrived at GZ to be greeted again by something different although once again appropriate to the cache name.
Very appropriate individual cache naming, (although this wasn't always evident until each container had been found), much variety in the individual hides, in pretty much all cases accurate co-ordinates, and some cunning camo, all combined to make this a very memorable series and well worth our coming back today to complete.
Thank you wozzle for the effort you have obviously made in establishing all these hides.
