Took The Woofer for a nice long (20km+) bike ride/run today. Not a great day - only found 4 of the 6 caches on our list!
This was one our DNFs for today. Searched every nook and cranny but suspect it may be gone.

On the bitterly cold day last week, we've decided to go out and pick up a few caches, with this being one of them on the radar. After many an odd look from passing motorists, we had the cache signed and returned. TFTC
In keeping with the "Walkathon" theme, walked to the cache and found it, had me looking for a bit, between passing trucks, cars, trucks and more trucks!!!! Certainly a lot of trucks going south!!!!!. TFTC.
I thought this wasn't going to be an exciting cache, but just after I located the prize and was discreetly signing the log, a car drove past towing a trailer with the jockey wheel still down - there was smoke, sparks and high pitched squealing (the squealing may have been coming from the driver) before the car pulled over just up the road. A truly exciting cache. Thanks!
Today was the final day of the holidays and I still hadn't quite made it to my goal of having less than 1000 ACT caches to find. I checked the map again and once again, there was enough in Tuggeranong for me to knock off my goal. I plotted a bit of a route starting in Bonython and ending in Calwell and had enough caches to make it. Even though I had promised a day or two earlier that that was the last caching trip, I still wanted to go out and find these ones. Luckily, my parents agreed but I had to do it quickly to be back before my driving lesson.
The first cache of the day was Elementary my dear Mendeleev which I wanted to collect before being dropped off. I had solved the puzzle when it came out but had not found the cache. I decided to change this today. We parked close by and I jumped out hoping for a quick find but it took much longer than expected to come up with the goods. After that, my dad dropped me off near A Profusion of Parrots and I headed off on my bike. A Profusion of Parrots also took quite a while to find but I eventually came up with the goods.
After that, I found the caches fairly easily until I got to Tuggeranong Stone Wall which also took quite a while to find. I checked up and down the wall and it wasn't until I was about to give up that I noticed the cache. After that, I collected Insert Clever Pun Here and Remember the days .... (with the help of a previous finder) before heading onto Tuggeranong Hill. Tuggeranong Hill was just as unfriendly as I remembered from my previous trip here and it wasn't easy going up some of the hills. I really enjoyed Padlocked! though.
I finished my ride on Tuggeranong Hill at Geokid Marble Exchange and then headed down to Harry the Ranga and onto Pink Grapefruit, Rainbow Way and Under Pressure. After that, I headed off to do McCarter and then find the GZ of Metal It Up, as I had done the waypoints a while ago and DNFd GZ. After that, it was smooth sailing to Gnome Alone and then finishing with some of the "It Up" series I hadn't gotten to last time. I met my dad at Calwell shops and we headed off to do Chris's HEAD CACHE, after getting something to drink, to bring up my 2800 find!
Thank you to all the COs who hid caches and apologies for the generic logs!

out of house!!!! drive around to southside ... Lovely cool weather... easy found .. Thank
I am getting back into a bit of bike riding having not done it for ages (lots of walking in the meantime) and am discovering how well cycling and geocaching play together.
I wasn't quite the cleverest koala myself and ended up on the wrong side of the road. Once that little mistake was rectified it was a quick find. Lots of passing traffic but I tried to be discreet (well, as much as you can be in the circumstances). TFTC

Another week has passed and I am now free for a two week break, but today I have time to get few caches done, so this time it is a trip south to get a few. It is nice to see a cache back in this area.
Thanks.

Good spot - I agree with BushBashing1, the smell of the kangaroo made me rush this one.
This one had a bit of a smell to it!
There was a dead kangaroo near by so I had to rush this one
Did notice the magnets need replacing as current ones are very weak and aren't working that well.

Another one done. Yay! I found this as part of a daily streak I am working on - almost 3 months now. The first month wasn't so bad, the 2nd month got harder, and now it's getting more challenging to make sure I don't miss a day especially because I'm travelling for work.
I love the challenge of the geocache cache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. My new GPS is working great and it has made my geocaching experience so much simplier and more fun.
Thanks go to Liquid_Snake for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated. I enjoyed finding this one. This cache was another "Found it" for me. TFTC! Cheers. [Blue]Jump Pilot[/Blue]

Needed to drop Takibi off to her parents place as they were heading off to Cooma for a family outing so given the weather was questionable I figured this area presented plenty of drive-by and short-walk urban caching. Could just see this one from my approach and palmed it before signing a little further away.
Recognized the tin from somewhere familiar, thanks for the sneaky find liquid snake!
Last find of the afternoon before the chores I was supposed to be doing beckoned. It actually took a few seconds to find. I snaffled a path tag which has been there for nearly a month.
Thanks Liquid Snake.
Thanks Liquid Snake.
Found with TheStormMan. Took a while trying not to look suspicious. Had 4 new cachets tagging along too. Tftc.
#698 The plan was to meet Green-martian at this cache. He was on foot, I had the car. As I arrived, he was searching close to GZ, and within seconds, we both had the cache in hand. Thanks.
Hint helped. Tried to be as inconspicuous as possible with 6 others, 4 non-geocachers☺

I've now read the description and now know its relevance, cause there sure aren't any koalas around here.
Wow to try an grab this one when traffic is constant is nearly impossible. Lucky for good phone sence and it was safely put backm thank you for the cache.
Not sure how, but the road was like a ghost town today. Made it so much easier. TFTC!
After feeding a client in a nearby suburb, we continued to this one for our daily cache. Night had just fallen when we arrived so the find was made with candle light. Had a bit of trouble getting the container open, but with a bit of muscle it eventually came free.

9349 + 1058 = 10407. A mini-run at lunchtime today for 7 caches !
I've been watching the numbers of caches in this area grow over the months and decided to grab most of them today. First stop for the day and a quick park and search revealed the cache. Signed, returned and I was off to the next one.
Thanks Liquid Snake !
TNLN - TFTC !!

Found on a lovely public holiday around Tuggeranong. A short walk to GZ for a quick find. But it took a little bit of work to get the cache out of its hiding hole. TFTC Liquid_Snake!
I parked across the road near the houses and made the short walk along the path under the road to the cache, where it was quickly found. TFTC Liquid_Snake.
Well our kids had to make sure we get these caches!!! And what a great cache it is, made for a nice afternoon and made on Trex05 and one hotwheels 7 very happy
Our third cache this afternoon, and it means the kids have completed their set of Liquid Snake caches. A quick drive-by in this case, and thankfully a nice spot where we could get right off the road with the munchkins. Thanks for the three caches, and the reason for a fun afternoon out with the kids.
Quick find on the way home from work. Spent a lot of time "tying my shoes", waiting for cars to pass TFTC
My wife sent me down to Gordon this morning to pick up something she purchased off of gumtree. After grabbing her goodies I decided I had time to grab a few caches. A quick find. Thanks Liquid Snake
After a nice swim at Casuarina Sands, and a drive down Paddys River Road, we found this cache before heading home. We parked nearby and walked over to GZ and started searching. I found the hide pretty quickly. Nicely hidden!
Our thanks to Liquid_Snake!

3735. The next on a nice day caching in the Southern 'burbs. A nice quick find and I was on my way.
Thanks Liquid Snake for the cache.
Thanks Liquid Snake for the cache.
After a slow start to the day, plans were made with specimenX to head out and get the daily we both required. We attempted a couple other caches however the muggle factor was too big so we moved on. After scrolling the maps, we decided to give this one a go.
We parked up on the road side on the verge and wandered over while chatting and stirring one another. Once at GZ, specimenX made short work of the find. Logging duties completed and back to the car we went.
Took specimenX home so she could rest as she wasn't feeling too well and I headed off to watch the FFLL ladies play softball.
Thanks for the cache placement Liquid Snake

I was feeling rather ordinary today and still had to go and collect my daily to keep the streak alive. Rapidlywild kindly offered to pick me up so we could go and nab one together-thanks chick!
We decided to take a drive southside for the days nab. We attempted a couple but due to the annoying muggle factor we moved on to this one. RW deftly pulled the Wildmobile up onto the side of the road, then off we went to start the search. I spotted the cache within moments although it took me a little longer to prise the lid off lol. Although that is probably a good thing due to its positioning
So once logging duties complete, off we went-me back home to rest and RW to a friends softball game.
Thanks for the hide, Liquid Snake

Had about 15mins to kill waiting to pick up my son from Gordon Primary so made a quick dash in the car to pick this one up. Quick find although it was a little difficult to get the container open. Thanks for the cache liquidsnake
#392. 61 days in a row.

We were chasing invaders so decided since we were back in the area that we would give this one another crack....while we did check this spot out the first time the new coordinated gave us much greater confidence which resulted in a quick find . A very nice hide and well tucked in, thanks Liquid Snake!
Ohhh!! I'm getting all excited!!! Tomorrow, I'm picking up my new 4WD vehicle, to replace my 20 year old Mazda protege. I'll have plenty of room in it for the GeoSchnauzers, my mate Knightech, our sets of geocaching kit, and our two mountain bikes for doing some of the non-road power trails around ACT and NSW. Can't wait.
To help contain my excitement, I've been down to the motor registry to find all the hoops I have to jump thru (I'm bringing the car from Sydney), and to convert my worldy goods to a bank check to pay for it. This worked, I can feel depression setting in!! OK then, geocaching.
This is the first of three today, down south near home, where I'd cleaned out all the easy traditional caches. (easy being ones where I don't have to walk up a mountain). I was checking the caching site when I found some newish caches. So, off to pick them up, in between rain showers.
Good cache, LS - nice container, and a pretty good hiding place. I got a nice walk by the pond, as well. Thanks!!

TFTC, I found this Cache as part of the Cache Walkers! Smartly hidden as well.
Hint and new coords helped but it still took a while. TFTC it's alive and well 6.30pm Wednesday.

A quick find after a short search with Mrs 5Powells.
Nice little hide, a shame you had to camo the container though as the container is ace!

Co-ords had me in the middle of the road....so checked one side, but nothing. Back on other side and I decided to check an area a little further away when a car stopped and someone yelled out..."Good Luck Sol"....turns out 5Powells had found the cache about 10 mintues earlier and were heading past when they saw me. A bit of a chat about the new co-ords and they drove off. Cache was found a minute or so later. My co-ords were 35 26.746 / 149 04.768....which aren't too far from the posted co-ords, but should help future searchers.
Thanks for a 3rd one in the area LS.........

DNFTF. GPS put me at the side of the road and the nearest spot the hint was suitable for was a temporary sign.
After successfully capturing a snake we thought we would try find the Koala reported on the other side of town. We searched high and low but it seems it was a very clever Koala managing to stay hidden from sight. Was a bit late to really extend the search too much but we poked in some of the obvious spots and had a quick look around the underpass.
