I'm sure it'll still be there but I didn't find this one today, could hear a neighbour doing some gardening so didn't want to search for too long. Where's the helpful cat when you need it? Thanks anyway, maybe another time...
Fourth attempt, finally got it with my friend, the portable good luck charm. Amazing find!
Was a clever hide, the hint isnt super obvious (we thought too much into it) but it does give you a direction of thought. Couldnt log as forgot a pen but defs found it!
I've tried this before, but I did not find it.I parked down below back then, but today I parked up top. It didn't make any difference.GZ was empty today and found the nice hide after an understanding of the hint. The cache and log are in great condition.Cheers.Sleepy was here!
**19,916**Mr Geckoh was taking a long time on this one so Mrs Geckoh stepped in to try as nd be of assistance. It took awhile even with two of us looking but it was Mrs Geckoh for the win (finally). Now we can go and finish the Adlab we started. Seems like a bit more than a 1.5/1.5 rating but we guess its subjective! TFTC
A nice stroll this afternoon. Relatively quick find. Hidden in plain sight. Replaced as found. TFTC
Its such a nice day here in Wellington today (can't beat it) I decided to take a stroll around Ngaio and hunt out some caches.
Lots of stairs to get to this one as I walked up from Imlay Cres. Figured out what the hint was referring too and after a little fondling I soon had my hands around the geocache. Quite a unique container - love me a good 'boxhill hide'.

Didn't take too long to find this... and then we worked out what the clue meant! Out of 5 caches we've searched for this evening, we've had 2 DNFs and 3 finds. All the finds have been Boxhill caches, which led us to the thought that our geocaching has been much more fun with all the caches that Boxhill has hidden, all the unknown walks he's sent us on, and the fun we've had discovering his tricky hides. So thanks again Boxhill! We're very grateful for all the effort you've put into this hobby/sport/obsession. Cheers
Out collecting a few in the drizzle today before the rain comes in again. Nice little hide here. TFTC boxhill.
I don't recall having any difficulty finding any of the other "posted" caches but this one proved to be elusive. I returned this morning with a determined attitude but I was also kind of hoping the cat might help me out. The unfriendly weather may have accounted for the lack of feline presence but it also meant no one else was around meaning I could search unhindered. And I needed plenty of quality search time as it seemed like the blue frownie was going to stay on my geocaching map. All of a sudden, I had the treasure in my hand - I shouldn't have been as surprised as I was because the hiding place is well chosen and perfectly sensible. While my GPSr didn't zero out where I found the cache it was certainly as close as I would normally expect. It's great to finally get this one sorted although I would feel a bit happier if the difficulty rating was higher than 1.5 .
Had to google the hint and then the neighbourhood cat was a big help and led us to the correct spot. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
Twig and I paid this a visit after a nearby event. I think I know what we are loooking for, but could not find what we are looking for. I think I have a reasonable idea of what the hide style is, but maybe I am wrong.
I don't think the cache is missing, I just think I wasn't up to the task today.

Another Sunday, another event to attend. This is one of the very real advantages of my new job, being able to regularly travel around a greater area of the lower north island
I'm out with the Seagnoid again, and we are now out and about after the event to try to find some caches in this vicinity. I'm thinking this should be an easy find. But after about 15 minutes of searching we have drawn a blank. Checking the logs I see quite a lot of DNF's or found logs stating that this was their 'nth' time of looking for it so whilst I don't feel so bad for failing here, I am left wondering if it's truly a D1.5? I'll be back!

I have been here before but this evening's one was a longer look before I saw a muggle heading in my direction. I think my best chance was having the cat show me where the cache is but there was no sign of that either. I have since had a bit more of a think about things and I reckon I know what I need to do differently.
#1666. Third time lucky. Recorded a DNF ON 18/4/18, and also had unsuccessful search maybe 6 months ago (didn’t log a second DNF). Didn’t feel confident, despite recent finds, and resorted to a PAF (thanks, Jo!) to narrow down the search area. Spotted the cache while on the phone to her, so good to get another blue sad face converted to a .
No sign of the geo-cat. Shame. Tftc boxhill.

Checked up on this on my way home. There are no issues here. The cache is still there waiting to be found. Meow.
Had a thorough search for about 15mins with no luck, I did make a friend while there though
AFTER COMING DOWN FOR THE COMMUNITY EVENT AT THE tHISTLE iNN ( GREAT EVENT AND VENUE AND FOOD!) the next day i met up with friends going back to our teachers' college days ( 1960's) for a lunch at Ngaio ands so before meeting them i went to discover a couple of caches around ngaio having done the wherigo here a few years ago.
This was short 'walk' up the steps and looked where i expected but with no luck! i searched other places and finally went back to the first place and yes there it was neatly tucked away
thank you for this cache.
Thanks for this cache : )

Very Friendly Cat out on patrol again today, somewhat hampered search in fact. FP for the cat (not quite Mittens, but even so...) Light bulb moment for the clue led me pretty much directly to the cache. All in good order, tftc!
Great to be able to report we managed to grab this one today after a previous DNF. Nice to get another boxhill cache. Thanks CO and can report the cache is in good condition.
Nice hide, great hint. Nearly got busted by a muggle coming up the steps. Thanks for the cache boxhill
Didn't take long to locate the hide. It was in the second spot we checked. Nice hide. Tftc
Coords bounced around a bit but while they were settling, I looked in a likely spot and found the cache. TFTC.
Checked up on things this afternoon. There is no problem here. Both the container and log book are in great condition exactly where they should be, waiting to be found.
Had a good look at the likely places and I think the GPS put me in the right place but no luck today. Met the friendly tabby and white cat though so not a complete loss!
All in order here - a very sturdy set up, nice one! I -think- I understand the hint.. maybe.. but a nice wee hide, thank you. 'Ware the extremely friendly cat, leg rubs and smooches galore
Found 24.01.2020 - True to Boxhill's style, a little twist. My first visit I couldn't get a fixed reading in the drizzle so didnt stick round. This time got me close to gz, so thoroughly checked possible hint objects - bingo.
Watchout for the path "guardian" suddenly appearing - the local cat shadowed me in my search demanding patting.
Cache and log all dry, and tucked away again.

This was the second cache we located in these parts this Sunday afternoon, although I admit to making hard work of this one. Wasn’t sure which was the correct post but a certain one had “more potential” than others. After a more thorough search at that point I came up with the goods. #2541. TFTC.
Out and about with Flowerydaze on our way to the "Creation Celebration". A muggle was in the area for a while but after she left Flowerydaze soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
Talla64 and I were on our way to the Creation Celebration event and took the opportunity to find a few caches. There was a muggle hovering about close to where we needed to be, however she left eventually so we could approach GZ. Tricky little hide, but the hint took us to it. Thanks for the cache.
Quickly found the first place I checkedSorry for the late log, due to technical difficulties. All good here, TFTC.
GPS was bouncing round. Found 2 possible candidates. We checked and had no luck. Mr 7 searched for 2 seconds and found it. Lol.
Like others before me the GPS was bouncing around a bit but with the hint I narrowed the location down to two possible spots while under the gaze of the friendly neighbours cat . Checked one without any cache like object being discovered so it was on to the second. Success! Log duties completed, the cache was returned.
The cat had lost interest in me by now and was watching something else. TFTC

Too wet for a decent search - wandering willy has wandered everywhere. Will return on a drier day.
Nice spot. Quick find. GPS was a couple of meters out. Small amount of searching required. All good here. TFTC
Took a while to find between muggles. All good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie.

Hoping to see you at the [Oamaru Geofest](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6M2V0_oamaru-geofest-2017) during Labour Weekend 21-22 October 2017. Let’s all help this a successful event!
Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn’t be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn’t take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

Found a few metres away from where my GPS pointed. B found thanks to hint! TFTC
Not the first spot I searched, but pretty close. Thanks for keeping us posted boxhill
Spent a bit of time on this, but no luck. I suspect I was taking the clue too literally but unsure. Will try again later.
I went out for a lunchtime ride on my motorbike in the drizzle today. I had either this or one nearby on a bus stop in mind when I left the office. Since it wasn't too wet, I chose this cache.
There was a man in the street above the cache who seemed interested in what I was up to so I had to walk away for a while, and search on the way back.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

This one was a little bit of a nemesis. Went to the spot today and rummaged around a bit. Finally noticed something and there it was. Nice to get a smiley on this one. All in order. TFTC
I see no-one else has had a go at this since my DNF but I'm back for another look in daylight. A cat lurking in the bushes wasn't giving anything away and seemed thoroughly bemused by my rummaging around in his territory. I found what seemed like a good hiding place that I didn't notice before but it wasn't it. Then I noticed there were hint objects on the other side of the path I hadn't noticed last time - and there was the cache. I don't think daylight was the key to finding this - it was the coords that took me there. TFTC.
I'm surprised so many people have trouble with the hint - isn't that in kiwi DIY 101? In combination with another Boxhill cache this has led me to believe this might be related to the industry in which he works.

I don't know if I would have fared better with this during the day. When I got to GZ I had no idea where to start so I went to the hint pretty quickly. I took an educated guess at what it meant and soon spotted an object that tied in with the hint and the theme. I couldn't find a cache though. I looked around and found there were a whole bunch of similar objects - but still no cache. I'll try again in daylight.
While feeling a bit like a snoop and the phone gps not settling we decided to give it a miss and come back with the real gps when we can get it working with our computer. Good location and looked at many possible places, must be a very sneakily hidden cache.
With a little time in hand on the way home, it seemed like an ideal opportunity to grab this one. I was pretty sure I understood what the hint meant. so that narrowed the search focus nicely, and the cache was quickly in hand. Managed to get it signed and put away just before a homeward bound muggle came into view down the road.

I couldn't figure out what the hint meant! Turned out I didn't need it. After a slow climb, I found the cache in the second place i looked. TNLNSL. TFTC!!!

3rd visit and this time I have a specific focus prompted by a comment in the logs. Success! And another irritating green spot turns yellow Thanks for the cache
We were just about at GZ when a party of three muggles plus dog started up from the bottom. We kept walking and they started doing exercises on the steps! Some time later back at the GZ I figured out the hint and at first thought that must be the camouflage (Glynn in Auckland once had a very evil cache like that) however this cache is in line with the difficultly rating despite the four DNF. Signed the log and trudged back up the steps.
The hint was a bit confusing because it only narrowed the possibilities to some degree Tftc
Finally found it after GPS kept jumping back and forth, very clever! No muggles nearby today, TFTC
Took a while to find this one.. All the while being watched by a kitty cat. Thanks for the cache and climb. Did with Mycro Man
Tour a detour on the way home tonight, a bit of a grunt when you're used to cycling on the flat! Cache all in good order, safely hidden. Couldn't make any sense of the clue, but then the penny dropped as I cruised back downhill, and had a wee chuckle! TFTC boxhill, #8488
Always feel uncomfortable creeping around near people's houses. Scouted many possible spots but without batteries in the GPSr and the phone just wouldn't settle.
Love the days when the weather forecast is just so wrong.
Some stepping to be done. That wasn't so arduous.
Loved the hint.
Once I positioned myself at GZ there was a bit of looking here and looking there. In the end it proved to be a sneaky hide in the place that you would expect. Coords bang on folks, so trust your GPSr on this one if you are having challenges.
Cache found to be in order; log signed. Cache re-hidden safely, just as found.
TFTC
The Turtle strikes again!

Went to do the new cache further down the hill and didn't even realise I had walked within a short distance of the trailhead! But then checked my search of local caches and backtracked up the long steep flight of stairs to Quetta Street.
A quick find at GZ, fortunately I had looked up the meaning of the hint earlier as I wouldn't have known what it meant otherwise and needed it as GPS reception was a bit variable.

After messing up the start time for an event (long story), I found myself with about hour and half with nothing to do. Might as well go geocaching!
Took me a while to find this one. I thought I probably knew what the hint meant, but it didn't seem to help much. Spotted it eventually, almost by accident. TFTC.
