Beautiful spot for a cache, thanks for giving us a reason to come visit the botanic gardens. Visited with Rumpuslabs, Tftc
17. november 2024 15.41# 4921What a lovely rose gardenFirst time in New Zealand and obviously we should try to find some cachesFound with our youngest daughter - 'gida' Geogreetings from Denmarkviridis / Peter & Charlotte TFTC
A wonderful place this time of year, I especially like the huge trees.Found and signed with a morning coffee and Baktrak. Thanks La Vista
A nice spot to spend some time and smell the roses. We tried to tell the time with the sundial and using the adjustments but without its gnomon, it's not possible. Found with MummyPenny. Thanks La Vista.
Today we also targeted longer caches. This also included multi-part virtual caches in the Botanical Garden. Three multis were successfully identified. Three lab caches with a bonus were also found. Another day with the beautiful garden and the old former university buildings. There was a lot of information and we learned a lot of interesting things. Many thanks to the owners and greetings from the Moorhelmi
What a treat to see the roses in bloom - absolutely beautiful at the moment. This is a beaut little multi. Just how we like them no ambiguity, final numbers work out easily and not too long. We found the cache and sat at the convenient seat to do the paperwork. Thank you.
Very sadly the sun dial's been defaced so couldn't make use of a brilliantly sunny day. Still managed to smell the roses and find the cache though, TFTC.
Found with Gazania Rigens as per her log.I didnt expect to see quail I associate with Arizona pecking around these roses! An easy nearby gather of the info and a grateful sit down in a beautiful place. The perfect multi IMO. TFTC
We were thankful for this short multi that we could do while visiting the lovely gardens. Plenty of benches everywhere for working out the final, and then for signing it. The roses are already looking good, it's almost the right time to see them. More should open their flowers in the next few weeks. TFTC!
GCoven found it after small amount of deliberation at the stylish sun dial. 2 out of 3 trips lately have involved caches set up in awesome Rose Gardens. Just visiting for the Mega, a trip planned a while ago but as it got closer i was umming and ahhing about it. Knew once I got here that it would be fine. Enjoying my first trip out of Australia. Even if my luggage didnt leave Townsville when i did. All got sorted out ok.
Was here in 2017 but did not do this multi. Today Ben and I headed in admiring the magnificent trees. Quick calculation and off to the spot for a quick find. Loved the Sun Dial so fave pint.
Thanks for placing and maintain for our enjoyment Found with Snickersallan, Wollaston and chamadVisiting Christchurch for a few days before heading down to attend Geotora Mega
Outnabout with Chamad, Snickersallan & Bluewattle on my first ever trip across the ditch. After a week of caching around Brisbane and at events last month with other Geo friends, I couldnt pass up the opportunity to hop on board for a NZ Mega adventure. Another great day for caching. TFTC La Vista
Pretty sure we know where it is but it is cureenrly inaccessible. Will come back another day.
Did the calculations at the sundial and had a fair idea of the direction to go. We went the required distance and then looked for a likely hiding spot and you know what we came up CIH!!Beautiful rose garden and nice necklace in the cache. Thanks for bringing us here. OCW irondale today in the botanical gardens of Christchurch on a windy but fairly warm and sunny day. TFTC
We are all the way down here in NZ to support our daughter at a sporting competition. And we are making the most of our time to check out the beautiful city of Christchurch and grab some Southern hemisphere caches! Couldn't find this the first time we searched but a look through the logs give me the clue i needed. We weren't far off and it was QEF at GZ second time of trying, TFTC
Found it. We're so new to this, but with a help of others .. we finally found it...
A great fun cache to complete, I was initially worried about some muggles sitting near the final, before I realised there was another more subtle spot, great fun have a FP, cheers
Saturday Morning I was bored, so randomly booked a plane ticket to Christchurch. While in the area I decided to look for a few random caches. After not having much luck at night caching, I decided on Sunday to visit Hagley Park.Im always a bit funny about multi caches that are more of a mystery, but thankfully I worked this one out without too much difficulty while looking like a weirdo standing there on my phone. not wanting to spend more time than needed, I quickly worked out where I think I was heading and sure enough found a nice quiet seat to retrieve the cache
Spent 20 mins awkwardly feeling up the wrong area readjusted the compass and then found it, cute necklace left inside it.
Popped in here briefly during my exploration of the gardens yesterday. Struggled to get to the information plate with how busy it was, but I eventually made it. Enjoyed a rest at the hide after making the find - great place to wait on a sunny day like it was. Tftc!
A nice little multi completed while we explored some of the garden today. We loved the rose garden. Tftc
An easy little cache here in the lovely Hagley Park! Trying to get some caches around the city today!Cache signed at 11:45 Saturday, 6th April. Cache number 332, TFTC!
We needed a few tries to find the cache, but finally we did it. Thank you for this fun cache!
A short multi that took me a while. On the first visit, I got the info and gave up on the solve. Still, I got some numbers at home, had some help, including changing one number back to its original value, doh!, and a lesson in what to do next. Worked well today. The herbaceous borders of the gardens are looking good, and I couldn't decide what to fotograf: lush hostas, comical red hot pokers, or waving grasses. In the end it was Sea Holly as it's so different. A favorite for teaching me more caching skills, bringing me to the gardens, and that wonderful rose perfume. Thank you La Vista

Natrlich wurden Caches gesucht, virtuelle aufgesucht und beantwortet und das alles mit dem Teamnamen downunder2024 umhin den Logbchern oder emailbriefksten keine berfllung hervor zurufen??.T4t$ sagt viko76?? aus BerlinToday our day tour went from Blenheim to Christchurch, on the way we stopped for the seal banks and a few cans. Then the only webcam in New Zealand was visited together and a great group photo was taken.I liked it very much in Christchurch itself, a small and really charming city. Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we took the bus from Blenheim to Christchurch. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndyThis log entry is translated with the help of Google.
Together with 37 Cachers, we start a journey to Australia and New Zealand via Doha.In Qatar we spent one night and had almost one full day before heading to Sydney. In Australia we visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Cairns. In New Zealand will be Aukland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. To safe Logbook space, we signed the logbooks with our team-name "DownUnder24".Our Teammembers are:\_gc_, AmoebeST, AndyausDu, B@cker-1, Biggidag, Brummelbren, CacheTaucher, cooljo, Fotopinguin, Freizeit-Tina, Gazelle5111, GEO Karen, GoanToni, Hfi1, hupsi-1, karrai*, Leilah03, lenny love, Lupus54, Maxipimpf, muschel3, Ollilein, Opaundenkel, penalty96, Rheins, Simowl, sozioma, Sr. Elli, Team Zyanor, viko76, Webmasterrollerin, Whlhase, XenSuoThank you for the Cache.
Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

Fifth day in New Zealand ??. This is my first visit to this extraordinary country and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Now I had the chance to join a large group of mainly German geocachers and I was delighted to take it. After a stopover in Qatar and 8 days in Australia, our journey continued from Auckland to Queenstown with various stopovers.Today we continued our journey by bus from Blenheim to Christchurch along the coast. As soon as we got our hotel rooms, we set off to discover the city. **On the trail of the virtual in the botanical garden, there was also the opportunity to solve the task of this multi in order to take the bearings. There are a few interesting hiding places at the finale. At one of them we found the container and were able to sign the logbook.**Thank you for laying & taking care .Fnfter Tag in Neuseeland ??.

A group of 38 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland - Team Downunder24 - are traveling for 22 days from Frankfurt/Main via Doha to Australia and New Zealand. I was able to discover many wonderful things and irretrievable experiences are burned into my memory. Today our bus tour went from Blenheim to Christchurch. Shortly after arriving, I set out to refresh my memories of my last visit 21 years and 4 days ago, to experience the earthquake-stricken city and its buildings and of course to look for cache. I really liked it - seeing old and new connected together and the atmosphere by the river was relaxed and pleasant. I really liked the Botanian garden - the flowers blooming and everything was so well maintained. Thanks to La Vista for the cache, luring and caring for it - kind regards from Switzerland
Greetings from Germany/Luxembourg
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Signapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. This yesterday morning we arrived in Christchurch and had a nice tour through the city. Today we are already leaving Christchurch. We are driving to Mount Cook. Since it is not a long drive we spent this morning in the beautiful botanic gardens. Such an amazing place. Since we have loverly weather as well it is great to be outdoors. Nice sundial. Lots of roses flowering. Some of them smell really nice. The needed information was retrieved and after the projection the cache is rather quickly found. Thank you very much for this nice multi.
We arrived in Christchurch yesterday for our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia. Today we travel to Mount Cook. Before leaving Christchurch, we visited the Botanical Gardens. This cache was found during the beautiful walk.**La Vista**, thanks for the cache.
Today is Leap Day, February 29th. A date that comes around once every 4 years. A date that many Geocachers have stored in their calendars for various reasons. For me the objective is to log 11 cache types today. LET'S DO THIS!!!What a day it's been so far! 8 cache types ticked off, and this multi and an ad lab to get in the park, then a CITO planned for this evening. So many people around on this gorgeous sunny day. Maybe there is a cruise ship in as it seems like a lot of tourists. I would have been a bit quicker collecting the required info, but had to weave in and out of photos being taken. Maybe I photo bombed one or two. A short stroll to the cache, which I found safely tucked away. I really enjoyed this short multi. FP awarded.
Pretty certain I managed to get to where the cache would be but couldnt find it. I checked some photos and the hint and think I was in the right spot but no luck. It was also getting late so perhaps it was tough to spot with the sun going down. Regardless, a great location and I look forward to coming back and trying again in the future!
Found with Blue Jay on our second day of caching around Christchurch. Lovely day to ramble around the Botanic Gardens picking up some caches. TFTC. Toffee Man.
Greetings from Ireland Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
Wow, first time we have done one with degrees without working it out at home first. Hint helped hugely. Tftc
Found it! Lovely rose garden, it smells like... roses . Nice puzzle and easy find after eliminating some possible locations with the hint. Cheers from the Netherlands
Easy multi. Ran into TDronsfield with the find so the search was even easier. She kindly gave me a pen too.
Cache 1639 A lovely quick multi that didnt hurt the head YAY I needed this cache for my February spelling challenge so this was perfect T4TM
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Today we spent another lovely day here in Christchurch and in the beautiful Botanic Gardens. We also walked past this cache and stopped here for to look for the right coordinates and after that for to search it. It took us a little while untill we found it - and then we were able to write our names into the dry logbook. I'm very happy about this additional cache here in New Zealand! Many thanks to La Vista for leading us here and for showing this place and of course also for caring about this cache here on site! Find #2 for me today, a really pretty garden on a lovely Sunday morning. WP1 was simple enough, and after arriving in the vicinity of GZ the cache was in hand a couple of minutes later with no problems. Thanks for the cache!
This year we go on an exciting holiday trip to New Zealand. In almost 4 weeks we want to discover many nices places of the Sounth and North Island and of course go for some caches!Today we arrived in Christchurch wherew estart ou roadtrip.During our visit of the Botanic Garden wwe came also along the beuatiful rose garden We found the plague and calculated the final coords: not far away...Happy hunting!TFTCschnuckel1[#23948]
We loved the rose garden! Well all of Hagley Park really. This cache was good fun, and quickly collected the info. At GZ we had to wait until some park staff moved off, so we went for a bit more of a wander and then had the place to ourselves. When we got to the park, we found the car park was full but we got a fabulous spot just outside on the street which gave us time to eat ice cream as we wandered back to the car A great day and a FP for such a great set up. Tftc

Wow !!!Thanks Owner
# #6,945 #----------Well I had to do one multi-cache whilst here in Christchurch, didnt I? Worked this one out and used those workings out to get to my next spot. Once at GZ, it was a nice quick find here. A very beautiful rose garden here indeed. TFTC!!! ----------> All geocaches are signed as mmmPIZZA or mPZ
The app I use to do the math was set to the Northern hemisphere It took a while before I realized that. Beautiful roses. The cache was placed almost out of reach high so I took it down a bit.
We headed over to the botanical gardens today and grabbed a few caches while in the area. Info gathered and off to GZ. Found after a bit of a search but a nicely hidden cache.Log signedTFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Found it by pacing out in the approximate direction! Container was on the ground so replaced where it looked where it should be. TFTC!
Yayyy soo happy Ive never done these puzzle ones before and I loved doing it with my mum!!
Enjoyed the beautiful botanical garden. Especially the big greenhouse. Also the herbs garden was great. Top item in the garden was the sundial (i love sundials)Remembering modulus and argument from school we calculated the waywpoint for the cache. Thx.
Found with Halibr after solving the calculations. Fun small multi, and roses looked great tftc!
