If the black, spiral stairs have been removed then, there cant be a cache here any more. The cache name just wont work with anything else. That sucks. Thank you to all the finders.
GZ is in a construction zone and looks like it may have been removed. Perhaps this cache should be disabled until the construction is over.
The steps by this black cyclone are due for removal as part of building works going on here. Access has also been removed to the area.
Out caching around Burwood today, this was my first find for the day. All in good condition. TFTC

s-facit was spending the evening umpiring at Deakin and due to car allocation challenges I needed to pick her up. So not wanting to waste a trip out I checked the options for cache finding and this cache was perfect. Arrived at GZ with plenty of time before my pick up commitment. The GZ was deserted so I enjoyed a quiet search without a need to be stealthy, and made the find quickly with plenty of time before s-facit called.
Thanks simkat and sharkiefan

Quick find after a long afternoon studying in the library. Had to hurry to replace it as I heard muggle gardeners (campus caretakers?) approaching from above. Pretending to sit down always helps in these situations.
TFTC and thanks for helping fill another gap in the calendar!

After checking out a possible spot for another cache, I headed out for this one which I'd been eyeing for some time.
As I was on my bike it took me a little while to find the best approach.
A quick find once I parked my bike. TFTC.

Got up early this morning for a 4 hour training walk in preparation for the upcoming Oxfam 100k. (I can always use more donations! trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/my/donate/payment/30018/296688 )
Last cache for the morning before I headed up to meet the rest of the family at church... and just about time as the feet were getting weary. I was worried this might be a hard one to find but thankfully was pretty quickly spotted. Good place to sit (ahhhhh.....) and then returned and was on my way.

Out with Jascat riding the Gardiners Creek Trail. On the return trip we diverted to find this cache. TFTC
A morning ride with mazza-g picking up a few caches along the trail. A nice easy find and no stair climbing required. TFTC
A perfect day to visit this one - after all who wants to be at Uni on new years day? Except us of course. TFTC.
We needed a find on the 25th and made an early evening stop on the way home from a family Christmas lunch. Quick find once at A deserted GZ. SL and replaced. TFTC
Phones are wonderful for looking around these structures.
Quickly found and logged.

TFTC sharkiefan. Nice easy find on a nice day for a bit of caching. Jimmytherat with Noelle04.
Thanks Sharkiefan nice hide, found with Jimmytherat on on unofficial cup eve holiday.
Nice to see it here. Third time lucky I guess. Good way to end a day of epic caching.
So here's the thing - is it cannabalistic geocaching to find a cache that you placed, adopted out, slightly rearranged, and reskinned? Either was cheers for keeping this one going. It was originally placed as part of a series here to promote the young ones thinking about University in their future. It sure got me to return. Cheers!
Found this one under the cover of darkness and a little rain.
Thank you for the cache

Needed a cache on a rainy evening so it was a perfect time to grab this one. I used to study at Deakin University and never got this one before for some reason. Now a couple of years later I came back. TFTC

After a big Saturday of caching, it was a lazy Sunday in the Big Smoke.
I was with sharkiefan while she performed maintenance on this one.
Well here the engineering background I have kicked in. Quite an impressive Cyclone and so glad I could join in on the drive to this one.

Cache has been replaced and is ready to be found. Please exercise extreme stealth while looking and finding it.
I had a pretty good look and feel around for this one but failed to find the goodies. I hope it's still there. Thanks for the cache.
Heading home after a day caching with omegaman and grabbing a few along the way. It was very quiet and it was easy to grab a park nearby. Thankfully there were no muggles about as this took way longer than it needed to.
Thanks sharkiefan for placing the cache for us to find.

Who needs playgrounds when there are places like this! Geokids enjoyed the top too.
Nice hide TFTC, had some time to spare while daughter did karate nearby. Left a friendly spider behind
Needed one for the calendar and to continue my streak and it had to be fairly local as I had just had a road trip out to Wedderburn.
This fit the bill nicely on a Sunday afternoon....

Riding home from work and we saw this one and thought it would be a good one to keep the streak going. A quick stop and quickly found with kremmen. Tftc
On a Tuesday morning, no free parking available on campus or on the highway, so I parked on a side street and walked to GZ, fortunately not too much traffic as I crossed the normally busy road. All quiet at GZ for a quick find and departure. Some interesting architecture. TFTC
Woo hoo! Third, or maybe fourth, time lucky!! Alansee and I have been thwarted by lack of parking or a surplus of muggles in the past - the sparks from welding at gz stopped us once. The temporary fencing was still up today but there weren't many students or builders floating around so after finding a way to get to gz, we found the cache! At last! Yay! (PS - take gloves, it was very spidery around the cache)
Thanks for the cache, sharkiefan.

Found with Listmaker today. We had had our eyes on this one for quite some time, but it was always too busy. Even today, not long before Christmas, tha number of vehicles was surprisingly. We made a roundabout way to GZ for a quick find at this very appropriately named location.

For the third time this week, I was joined by Mrs Welder and 1Dgirl for some late night smileys. There were a few caches I wanted to look at in this neck of the woods, but this was our only find tonight.
Parking was our initial issue. I can't imagine how bad parking on campus must be during the day!! We grabbed a spot by the oval and wondered why people were driving down at this hour to walk their dogs...
We soon found the Black Cyclone but the girls were quite content to let me do the searching given the probability of creepy crawlies.
After the quick find, we toured parts of the uni - trying out various wooden banana lounges and admiring the assorted visual stimulations which lie around every corner. Good fun!
A big thanks to simkat and Sharkiefan for this particular dose of geo-joy.

I thought this would be a long search when I arrived at GZ, but surprised how quickly I found it. It's Friday night so very quite here, thanks
I am a student at this uni and have been meaning to find this cache for quite some time. Went to GZ at 3:30pm whilst no other uni students were around. Having attempted this cache before but with no luck. I had to retry. I had the cache in hand after a little bit of searching, but heard voices approaching, muggles, (grr), so I hid the cache in my pocket and awaited the students to finish rock climbing the nearby wall before singing log book and returning cache to positon found.
Reattempted today after previous DNF's, as I had a class in a nearby classroom.

A nice quick find while heading past. Being a Saturday evening GZ was deserted so we could search undisturbed. Although it wasn't long before the cache was revealed TFTC
Found this one just before a familiar face from Geelong. The title made a lot of sense when we arrived at GZ and it was fortunately in the first place we looked! Took the TB for further travels. TFTC, I hope it received a credit grade.
A quick smiley on the way home from a night of caching. A trip down memory lane for this cacher, as this is where i studied my undergraduate degree. Many find memories revived. Particularly pulling into the front oval carpark where I left on many a bus tour and the central Australia trips.

Found after a short search as we made this our last find for the afternoon, initially when we got to the gz I thought we could be in for quite a search but the hint saved a lot of time and we soon had the cache in hand. TFTC sharkiefan.

Was great to get out and do some caching with Happy Pants after a busy morning. On the way to Gz
I was thinking maybe this would be a hard find, with the amount of muggles at this location.
But lucky at time of day not many at all.
Found after a few minutes of searching.
Cheers for the cache.

Definitely an interesting view and some good fun. View from the top of the stairs is awesome...

Was in the area checking on my other cache which was missing and archived. All there but not closed properly. All good to be found.
This is AWESOME!
Out of our team of 3 Geocachers, 1 of them is studying at Deakin University for 1 semester.
Getting our 1st Australian Geocache is the best way to start off the school year!
(We were super excited to see that the University had a cache on the grounds.)
Thank you for placing this cache and greetings from Vancouver Island, BC. Canada.
(Our Deakin student is also super excited that she found the cache, since now I will stop bugging her! and she can get to studying)

This afternoon, Geoff and I set off to tackle a few caches NE of our usual stomping ground, many of which we probably should have found by now. A fun afternoon with some tricky yet rewarding caches. Once again chaueffer Geoff was at the wheel, but I made up for it with some faint sort of navigation skills (oh and a little bit of puzzle solving here and there). This was the 5th find of 5 for today.
There was a nice cluster of caches in Deakin and being a weekend we figured it was a perfect time to attempt them.
This was a nice easy find, despite being potentially slightly misplaced.
Thanks simkat!

After the Burwood Skyline, lemmykc and I found this, well we found it in two parts. The magnet was found with some black tape, stuck on the cyclone in plain sight, and the cache was hidden elsewhere.
This always happens if the magnet is outside the container.
We placed it inside the container, and rehid the container in a fairly likely spot.
If the CO wants more details, please contact me.

Im loving the fact the sun is rising early this time of year. It means an opportunity to grab the odd cache before work.
Heading off this morning, headed out first for a walk and grabbed this while out there.
Have you logged your WILL ATTEND for WA GOES BIG in 2016 ?
I have and am looking forward to seeing as many of you in Pinjarra on the WA Day long weekend.
Log you will attend at GC5YAGP

Was making my way out to Fright Night when I detoured quickly for a pick up.
Was surprised at the amount of students floating around campus.
Managed to park close by and swoop in for a quick find.

Out for a wander and of course a cache hunt, had to wait for a guard to walk on by and then cache in hand, TFTC
Was lying on the ground in plain view. I tucked it under but not sure in original spot. Suggest a quick visit by CO
Found this one while taking a detour to get a couple of geocaches amongst other things. Got it after several minutes of searching. The GPS was bouncing around a bit. Very nicely hidden.

Dear next finder, no need to worry about spider webs, my fingers cleaned all the hidden areas finding the cache in another spot. Thanks for the fun
We are from Sweden and are here to visit our daughter during a long holiday erected. So we thought fit to receive occasional cache on the other side of the earth. It does look good in the statistics, too.
Nice to find this cache with our dauther. TFTC

First find of the day. This should really be a slide, it would be a lot of fun Thanks Simkat/sharkiefan for the cache. Took TB.
Cache replaced. 200ml sistema with black duct tape to help.it blend into the GZ. Dropped in a TB and a couple of swaps
A long long hunt had us finding nothing, after a couple of calls to previous finders it became obvious there was nothing in the same place that they had made their finds. Cache might have moved. Might need to be checked on.
Second visit here. Brought geoman this time and he found it in seconds. So obvious once you know where it is! Thanks for the hide.
A multitude of 40km signs around suggest this may not be the best time of day to wander in this marvelous institution but a quiet corner concealed the treasure.
The swirl seems to go up forever but not I'm leaving the ground here.
Dirty knees, a quick clean find.
No Trackables inside, however mine and other's did pay a visit.
Thank you simkat!

I was at Deakin watching my brother play football. At half time Mum and I went to find some caches.
After finding the other 2, we were confident about finding this one. After 20 minutes of searching, we gave up and went back to the footy. ARGH! I so wanted to find it!

Cancelled tonight's bike ride, changed it for a drive by caching adventure. Hoping for 10 treasures. Tftc
