In Warnambool for the Running Festival, decided to tick off a few left over caches in the area. Tftc
On previous trips to Warrnambool we've always eyed off this cache but missed out on the time to visit. Today we made an extra effort and with weekend parking it was a breeze. Good coords led us right to the hide. Lots of open spaces on this campus compared to the Melbourne CBD ones! TFTC.
What a great hide after driving and finding myself a park and then searching for the cache I was a bit nervous that there may be some snakes around but came to the cache without finding any snakes on this sunny day, took me a while to open the cache but loved the little find was a bit disappointed that there was no field puzzle
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Spending a few days in Warrnambool to grab some local finds. Difficult to open so applied some WD40 and as log sheet full we left a fresh one. . Thanks for the hideLNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. Thanks for the cache. LNCU.
First cache for the day and a quick find after a short walk. Made Mr Beetle come with me as I was expecting a field puzzle inside the container and I'm hopeless at them.No field puzzle but still an outer cache container that has always been one of my favourites.Thanks.
Find number 12976 at 2:27:52pm on Sunday the 25 February 2024Well, I'm on my way, Adelaide here we come. I have seven days to get there and I'm travelling via the wiggly geocaching road so I hope I've allowed enouth time Today I'm travelling down to the Fitzroy River via Lorne, Colac, Camperdown, Warrnambool and Port Pairy. Found all my targets bar one so, not a bad day on the trip.Drove right up to the back door on this quiet Sunday afternoon, quick find, all in good order.**Thanks for placing this cache JamoGeoKids1743**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. Quick find before the rain arrived. TFTC. Dropped off hover the hummingbird travel tag.
My first find in Warrnambool, and a quick find with my favourite container before hitchhiking to the Twelve Apostles. Another LGA completed. After a rocky visit with my favourite lady in Adelaide, I've made great progress with my LGA goal on my way back to Melbourne. TFTC
2nd visit here; I don't know why I missed it the first time. The old Deakin caches were excellent, a pity they're archived now. The puzzle is gone, but all is good anyway. Thanks!@
Intrigued, I pooked it up in the DSM. Could only find 'Psychology'7.62 link was a nice touch
Found with LCPL Garmin. I sent him in to battle any wiggle sticks. TFTC, from a psychologist
I think the puzzle for the log it broke but it was fun to fine, I recommend wearing close toed shoes for this one
After a small adventure through the woods we made the find and a swap from Geo-kid. Magpies were around but were not swooping today
A squelchy walk to GZ but cache soon found and log signed. Everything nice and dry.

Some days off work so time for Mr and Mrs JTreeTrack2 to head SouthWest, to clear the brain and see some beautiful countryside and ocean views. So we packed up the Camry geocar, put the tent on the roof racks (the heater also packed) and headed out to base ourselves at Killarney and range off from here. Warnambool, Nelson, Mount Gambier and some bits in between.
What a great spot in the wonderful university ground. The grass was long but not very warm today so in I went wearing my geo-sandles. Cache was intact and the log nice and dry and now bears my log.

Slowly making way home with a few stops. Nice size cache.
Thanks for the adventure JamoGeoKids1743!

A successful find while staying at the nearby university. We took a moment during a break in the rain to quickly find this cache. The cache was quickly found and the log signed. TFTC.
The ammo can is a triumph of design. Simple, but nine years later this one is still watertight, and sharing its illusions and conundrums. I was glad to be walking through the undergrowth in April rather than a more snakey month, but at GZ the hide was soon uncovered and signed. Thanks Jamogeokids for bringing me here
Well, the dz is very overgrown with high grass and I deem too snakey at this time of year. I deem it a hazardous location and unsafe to visit. Got to within 23 meters and withdrew for these reasons.
Nice walk, out to Camperdown show so on our way back did a couple of caches.
Left a pathtag.

Found whilst attending the local caravan and leisure show. Grabbed a coffee at maccas, a quick saunter to the correct location and the deed was done. TFTC
As I made my way to Warrnambool it was Rain all the way from Geelong. Once I made it to Warrnambool the rain had stopped but still remained windy.
After visiting the Phycholgy stand at Deakin open day I was able to sign this same named cache with my new Phycholgy pen.
Cache was well hidden.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Spending a lovely caching day around the Warrnambool area, discovering many things about this place Always good to find a decent sized container TFTC JamoGeoKids1743
Robmc ventured to the SouthWest and we spent a couple of days collecting a few of the caches in Warrnambool.
Nice grounds for a uni
Thanks for contributing to the fun.

A busy day's caching around Warrnambool with The Morris.
Not sure how we ended up with so many to do, but we got most that we didn't need special equipment, or weren't locked out of.
After reading the description we were not sure what was supposed to be here.
We did appreciate an ammo can though.
Thanks, Robmc.

A bit concerned about tracking through the long grass but we made a quick find. Log pretty full.
Coords were spot and and it led me straight to the cache! I don't know of it was supposed to be just sticking out like that but it doesn't look like this place gets much foot traffic. Rain has stopped for a couple of minutes sooo a quick dash from the car to GZ was needed.TFTC
I expected to walk through long wet grass so that's what I did.
Cache easily found and an ammo tin is always appreciated.
Thanks JamoGeoKids for this one.

After a quick trip to The Big Green Hardware Shed to buy Mrs P a new chair I was keen to find another cache before heading back to the Caravan Park where we were staying for a couple of days.
Found a reasonably close spot to park but I was so tempted to turn it into a park-and-grab after seeing the long grass! ( especially as I was only wearing thongs).
Lucky for me it was a cool day, no creepy crawlies seen but the flies, Oh the flies!
Thx JamoGeoKids1743 for a great cache, haven't seen one of these in a while! Cheers

Clever spot, but watch out for the snakes! Saw one in the distance! TFTC
A 5 day caching run, over the 2020/2021 New year period saw me leave on the Thursday the 31st of December and travel to the Brisbane Ranges, down to Warrnambool, Port Fairy, Portland, the up to Heywood, Dunkfield and Horsham, camping along the way. On the Saturday I met up with my caching partner, ilukaperi at the home of choocknchunk, where we spread the coronavirus around as much as we could. Enjoyed some 4wding around the Mt Cole area before making our way back home on the Monday.
So I spent New Year’s Eve by myself on the shores of Lake Elingamite, sipping on a glass (or plastic cup) of red wine and watching the sunset on 2020. Good riddance I say! I got up early and cached my way from there, through Warrnambool, Port Fairy and Portland before finding my camp for the night at Annya Camp. A lot of variety of cache types and some good ground covered too.
Tiptoed through the long grass to get to this one. Finally found the location and who doesn’t love an ammo can! TFTC!

Last cool find for the day, great doing the university series. Dropped a TB off too.
With a quintet of caches on offer in the area,
I parked over on Mahoneys Road,
and wandered in through the forest
Being sure to wave at the security guy as he drove past
I think I out-psyched the cache though
A quick find with no mazes of the mind to tackle [:o]

Found after a bit of hunting. Daughter was bitten by what she said was a large bug but once we applied an ice pack to stop the sting my son and I were back at it and after a small search found it
I was amazed how I could drive around here without encountering any fences. A worthwhile cache box. Thanks JamoGeoKids1743.
Found by Roma and Max in the company of our friends The Swaggies.
Continuing on our geocaching/silo art tour commencing on the coast and ending in north of the state.
Thank you JamoGeoKids1743 for placing this cache.
We were looking forward to the challenge but happy to accept a smiley instead!
Cheers from Romax.

Last of this series and an easy find after walking through the long grass. It was a pity the original puzzle was not in place because we were looking forward to doing it. Still a find is a find so we left our mark
