Horsham Day2
After visiting Dimboola yesterday it was time to cache in the Horsham area. We did not realise that the town was so large.
We headed out on the track & came accross Honeysucker while we were looking for the cache. We met each other at a number of locations. This was a great way to tour your town.
Went to some great locations & found many good caches.
This is an unusual sculpture, took a while to spot the cache.
Thankyou for placing this cache Duntulum

Finally managed to turn this frown upside down. After two failed attempts just over 12 months ago I made the find after about 1 minute this evening. Very tricky hide. TFTC Duntulum
Mr Riddell has magic powers today, walked straight up to it!!!
It’s easy after reading all the logs... and in daylight!!

Thanks to Duntulum for placing the cache for us to find.

A stop on the way back into tiwn. J1 had spotted it quickly. Log is nearly full only 5 spots to go.

Found as we headed home after visiting the area, the area was quiet as we made the stop, managed to make the find, sign the log and replaced as found, TFTC and the fun
All well onsite but roadworks is going to make it harder to access during working week for some weeks to come
We prodded and probed every conceivable hole and crevasse but failed to find the tail or the cache
FINALLY FOUND IT!
It was a little tricky to write on the paper. I looked in that spot before but didn't see the tail. The person who found it before me obviously noticed I dnf'd it 3 times and decided to make sure a little bit of the tail was sticking out. TFTC

Expecting a long search, but it was quite quick to nab this here. Having laser cut a lot of stainless steel over the years, whilst the edge quality is great, some of the dross/slag could have been removed and some better lead-in locations could have made the quality much better than it looks up close.
Returning from Amazing Race 2019 - looked last year but had success this one.. TFTC
After not finding it yesterday, we went to go look for 3 other caches and found them all. I went back to the sculpture about an hour later, still couldn't find it. I am pretty sure there's nothing there
I was most certain the cache was a screw. Spent ages looking lots of suspicious things but no success
Thanks anyway

This was another of several caches that we pulled off the highway today to search for. The cache was found soon enough and before having completed a full circuit of the sculpture. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Traveling with a Starfish and a Mule.
We were on our way to the mega.
We stopped here for a search, and eventually found the sneaky bugga. Tftc

After having a DNF on this one earlier in the year, I had the opportunity to come past again today. This time, after referring to my notes, I was able to find the sneaky sucker.
Thanks for the cache duntulum.

No luck here today despite searching for quite a while, maybe next time I’m in the area TFTC
The Geofamily made the trip to follow the Silo Art Trail and stopped by a few caches near our accomodation. TFTC!!!
Nice easy find! Found on the second time -no idea how we missed it the first time lol
Parked the geomobile and shortly after heading towards GZ we were attacked by some flying cache guardians. We had to arm ourselves with significant sticks to enable us to get anywhere near GZ. Found the sneaky little blighter while the passing truckies no doubt wondered what we were doing.
Thanks duntulum for this little adventure.

Found as part of My Annual leave SA adventure, I had a great time touring the Yorke Peninsula and other areas of the state. The sculpture reminded me of Christmas for some reason. Thanks duntulum (F=1132 H=47) for the cache.
Familiar hide had me doing the full circle before I happened across a tell tale sign. Cache a little damp as O ring gone. TNLN TFTC
Found on a three day caching wander with AussieM&M!!!! We centred our searches in the Ararat area but ventured further afield when some of our planned caches were either disabled or on very slushy dirt roads. Very cold and plenty of rain ….. although we seemed to dodge the worse of it!!! Looks like the edge of the art work has suffered a collision!!! So pleased to find this one!!
This was a hard cache to locate and with some more hours of driving to go, we resorted to a hint from a friend who was a previous finder. Luckily with their hint, the cache was found and signed. It still had us scratching our heads with so many places to look here.

Grabbing a few caches as we hurry west and this was one that we randomly chose to break our journey.
Felt a bit sorry for the antique dealer across the road as I think he thought he had a customer when we pulled up.
Luckily the motorhome gave us good cover from him and enabled us to quickly locate this container.
A nifty way of hiding a cache of this type.
Thanks.

On our way to Melbourne for an undisclosed liasion and our first stop is Horsham. We have stopped here a few times, but never seemed to have enough time to do any caching. This time, after checking into our Motel, we headed out under cover of darkness to clear a few out! We spied something that looked out of place which made this a quick find in the dark. Sadly someone didn't seem to like the sculpture as one of the panels was badly bent inwards and part of the frame cracked. TFTC
M had to come to Horsham for work so I figured I'd tag along and do some sightseeing while he toiled. Geocaching is such a great way to see a town & always leads me to the most interesting places. Thanks.
I came, gave this more than a 1.5 star difficulty search (less than 5 minutes) and had a DNF.
This day it drive day und at the road we „pick“ geocaching. TFTC

After spending Christmas in Warrnambool with our daughter we decided to do a long tourist relaxed trip back to SA so we are picking up the oddcache or two on the way to stretch our legs. Looked but decided need to time limit searching but looks like some one has ran into the sculpture what a shame Thanks
Been meaning to get to this one for a while and . . unfortunately I still need to get to it. Just couldn't get my head in the right space for looking today and nothing leapt out at me so I will be back another day.
Found as we explore this great area as we stay in Halls Gap and Dadswell Bridge for 10 days.. Think the legs will be sore at the end of all this walking.. TFTC TNLN
Wow, this one took ages! Sat in the car and read the logs for clues, found it quickly after that! TFTC
Found on my way to Melbourne from Adelaide. Nice hide that took a little time to spot. TFTC
So many spots to hide a cache here. This hide was too good for me in the end & I decided it was time to keep heading for home. I'll be back at some stage. Thanks duntulum.
Found with Hearse068 while in the area. We are heading to Alice Springs and doing as many caches along the way, this is one we stopped at. Thank you for placing this cache for us to find.
In town for a few days, I decided to find a few easy caches after the first day's work. Thanks for a nice easy cache duntulum.
Every now and then,
a really weird cache crops up

What is this bit of stainless steel doing here in such an out of the way place ?? [:o]
Did the local council hate this sculpture so much after outlaying thousands of dollars commissioning it,
that they decided to stick it out here where few would notice it ???
Well thanks to the magic of geocaching,
I noticed this pile of stainless steel roadside [^]
A short stroll around the installation,
revealed no obvious cache hides
But a closer sticky beak saw the 'tell tale'
And out came the cache
Love the hide,
the art,
and the fact that the City of Horsham is hiding this expensive bit of art where few but geocachers will ever appreciate it [^]

On a road trip with hevwalker & CPWanderer to Ballarat.
We spent a good ten minutes in the humidity looking.
Little too tricky for us, thanks for the hide duntulum

This was an interesting sculpture and something we probably wouldn't have noticed if not for the cache location. Having arrived at GZ we did feel a little exposed as we searched and given the size of the cache the search took some time. Initial search of the site overlooked it resulting in a much more in depth look before we found it . TFTC
This is not true, I had it in my hand but given my predicament of Essential Tremors, there is no way I could ever get the log back into the little sucker if I took it out. So I put it back on its position and reminded myself once again why I hate these little suckers!
Thanks duntelum for placing this cache. Good placement. Took a while but once we spotted it it stands out. Well done.
Found on our way back to Adelaide. Verge very wet. Cache very small. TFTC Hubby not keen on these tiny logs
We camped overnight in the nearby caravan park enroute to Adelaide for a holiday. After packing up we left hubby to do the hard bits and wandered off for a cache or two! Was very lucky to spot this with a few seconds of looking - nice camo - could be hard to find! Many thanks
Another countdown event to the Surf Coast Mega. This time Ballarat. I enlisted Locus Cache for company and we arranged to meet mogni and Mrs. Aussie M & M there as they were coming from a different direction. Having cached all day yesterday and still only scratched the surface we had quite a few left on our to-do list. We had worked on Puzzles on the weeks leading up to the event so were keen to see if we could get some more of those and any others we were passing. [^] Sadly after breakfast the other ladies had to head off home but Locus and I decided we could still cache Ballarat to Lunchtime.
Lunchtime came and went and in the end locus was saying "there's another good one just over there"to my hand because was heading for the border. That in not to say that we didn't make a further half dozen stops before the border anyway.
I had saved this one for the trip home as I would be on the correct side of the road to stop. Didn't make it any easier finding the little bugger. By find it I did on about the sixth or seventh circumnavigation of the sculpture. Blends in well. Thanks duntulum.

Managed to get 35 finds for the day... with too many DNF's
Absolutely did my head in until finally spotting it!

Travelling to Apsley for the weekend with TrudyJane and lo and behold - she says let's try all these fixings and....sneaky indeed.
Our first nano... super challenging find when you don't know what you're looking for!
A quick and easy find as we cache our way around Horsham today. After making the find we went for a look across the road, but the prices were rather optimistic and there seemed to be a lot more trash than there was treasure. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
TFTC. In Horsham for part of the day with McStormy and picking up caches while the sun is up. Quickly stopped here on our way back to Ballarat though we walked around in circles for a while before we finally spotted the little bugger.
