Heading back to the car after picking up the new caches out here since the last time we were here. A wander around before spotting hide and we soon had the cache retrieved signed and returned. TFTC.
Classic cache and log book is dry and safe. Thanks so much. Sooo beautiful here!!!
I parked right near here and picked it up on my way to the trail for the Queen geocaches * * * * *I had a lovely day walking this trail near Googong Dam and completing the Queen series. I only had one DNF for the day; all other geocaches in the series were in good condition. Thanks for the cache, Toy Hunters!
Abit sketchy looking around the area on a nice summers day but eventually found and signed. Onto the next one TFTC
Sneaky extra cache you can grab before the Queen Powertrail Found with Toy Hunters as he continues to show me the ropes
Found the container open, everything including the book is wet and needs maintenance.
Replaced with a dry cache container and logbook. Visited with GQ16, thank you for a lovely walk on a perfect sunny day.
On the walk around the Queen series. Log signed as Geocaching Queens 16 or GC16. Tftc

Not too hard for the kids to find. Thanks! Time to look for the next one in the series!
After being put off a few times, today arrived the as the day to go past Queanbeyan for a walk to the final Traditional on Ftizy_1965s and mine D/T grid. We spent quite awhile walking around the reserve doing the caches there including the final phases of a many part multi. The day also included some very chilly time at Googong dam and a run around to Hume to visit a recently replaced highish cache. The day felt like a lot was achieved so we were happy about it despite the effort we put in on some hills.
Our Googong section started with a roadside cache that for some reason I have not already done. Happily it was simple to access today.
Thanks for the cache Toy Hunters

Out with a walk to this area on a sunny day.
Decided to get some caches on the way.

Hey Toy Hunters, this was probably the trickiest for me to find, only because there was a car nearby. Thanks for all the caches.
The meaning of the cache title is obvious, as it was hidden in 2014. However today the same comment could mean something totally different! Thanks for the cache!
A wander around this Anzac Day with Stylish Parasite saw us completing 24 caches! Was pretty impressed as generally when I have put together a plan of caches we always end up with some DNF's. Anyway Queen is my absolutely favourite band, ever since I was 7 years old and got Crazy Little Thing Called Love on single. I'm turning 50 this year, so it's been a while.
We did the whole Queen Collection and picked up the few extras along the way. Took us four hours on the dot, I am a bit slow, and we did stop for a wine and cheese stop at about half way.
A lovely way to finally click over 200 finds on my weekend of getting back into caching!
Thanks for the journey.

Quite ironic really. I’ve spent most of my professional career trying to get people to use their cars less. Thanks for the cache.
Out today in the Googong area to get some caches before we leave Canberra. I am also a big Queen fan. I got to see them in Sydney in 1985 (The Works Your) . Best concert I have seen. So I had to do some of these caches while here. TFTC toy hunters
Completed the entire Queen powercache today, with a 100% find rate - very unprecedented for me.
My memory is not good enough to write detailed logs about every cache, but I had a great time on this trail. Took about 2.5 hours to complete, and set a new PB for caches found in a single day (I think 23).
TFTC!

Out to do some Queen caches, and starting here. My first time to Googong Reservoir despite having flown over it many many times. Great spot, with impressive overflow still happening.
TFTC!

Thanks for a quick find, the kids loved it, now off to explore the rest of the trail!
An afternoon adventure close to home. We decided to pack some cheese and biccies to enjoy afternoon munchies along our walk around the dam.
A quick find sign and replace and then we were on our way to start the walk along the foreshore.

I know I was only in Canberra earlier in the week for caching but this time is for another reason… a geo-event! (GA19402 & GC8T8JZ) This means that for a couple of us, it turned into two events as I hosted a GCA event about lunch time. My event was nice and small with only a few attendees but still great. Afterwards, I went with some others to find some other nearby caches. Next, it was time to check into my motel and have a rest. I then heard that there was a group of Cachers heading out to find a new WIG cache in Woden before the next event starts. A great walk around the parks and a unique hide. I am now sworn to secrecy…! Then it was time for the second event of the day. It was great fun catching up with many people and talking all things Geo! After a great sleep, I decided that before I headed home, I would attempt the ‘Queen’s greatest hits’ cache trail. It was a nice drive to Googong Dam but before I parked I found a solved puzzle cache. After finding a parking spot, I went for the 2-2.5 hour walk find the Queen caches and a few other ones along the way. It was a great walk with many great views of the lake and Googong. Then it was time to head home but I decided on taking a detour via Young to find the new cache there. A FTF on this one. A great couple days away and I hope to get to a couple of the events in ACT during December. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I have found and for allowing them to bring me and others enjoyments. TFTE’s & TFTC’s
That was a nice easy start to the day, looks like it will be a beautiful day for caching - sunny and slightly breezy. Perfect. TFTC
I brought my mother to Googong to have a picnic lunch near the dam for her 90th birthday. I had baked and decorated a cake too. We figured that was safer in the present climate, than a restaurant. I couldn't resist stopping here to find this cache.
A quick find, and the cache and log are good. TFTC Toy Hunters.

I decided it was time to come into town from the bush and do some GC caching as I had done over 800 GCA locationless caches in the last two months' Your Queen series was my target and after a false start - Monty, aka my GPSr, couldn't find his way through Googong due to all the new roads, I practically parked on top of this one. Grab, sign, replace, move car a bit further up the car park, eat lunch then off to start my walk. TFTC Toy Hunters. TNLN SL
