So funny story here!I was approaching gz when I heard a noise behind me. Turning around I saw a cyclist coming so I stepped to the side of the track and started looking at my phone until the coast was clear. But the cyclist slowed down. Oh dear, had I been muggled. I looked at him, and he looked at me. Hmmmm! I'm not doing anything dodgy, just standing by this tree wondering if there is a container to be found. And so was Ark!Then to add to it, a group of walkers that I had seen earlier also passed us, but they sat down to eat their lunches. Right opposite GZ.At that point I was convinced to try a Tramyard cache instead.
Another DNF, kinda disappointed because we thought it would be hard to miss, hope it hasn't been muggled again >:/
DNF I think the cache has been muggled again, its nowhere to be found and it shouldnt be that hard to spot a cache of that size in the other photos.
Trouve ! / Found it ! Objectif du jour, la cache challenge voisine. Et quelques caches aux environs.5437me cache trouve.Merci G-2's Bodguard pour la cache Objective of the day, the neighboring challenge cache. And a few caches nearby.5437th cache found.Thank you G-2's Bodguard for the cache
In Auckland again this weekend with rattll, aiming to reach a significant milestone number of caches to coincide with a significant anniversary for her. After a hold-up to proceedings earlier today (a flat tyre on a campervan is a mission to repair on a Sunday), we finally got underway around Mangere Lagoon and Puketutu. As we approached GZ, a couple of walkers in front of us decided to sit down for a ciggy, just a few metres from where the cache was hidden. Rattll tried the stealthy approach from directly behind, but couldn't get close. Nothing for it, but to wait for them to move on, which they eventually did. Quick find after that. All in good order. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
After waking up this morning to find the campervan had a flat tyre, we spent the rest of the morning organizing AA visits, tow trucks and someone to repair it - such drama for one flat tyre!!!As a result we didn't manage to head out caching until close on 2pm. So we were pretty happy with a haul of 25 caches around the cycle trails here. We'll be back for the others another day. Wouldn't you know it, muggles decided to sit down and have a rest right next to GZ. We tried to sneak around the back, but couldn't see anything. Fortunately they decided to move on so then it was a quick find. Thanks for putting this here
Searching around a little while up the bank and had no luck didnt want this to get the better of me so hung around a bit and then the wife spotted it tightened the lid a bit more because it was wet good hide
Having flown into Auckland this morning I was making my way north on foot grabbing a few caches on the way. Spotted straight away then had to act a little innocent while holding the container as the only person I met on the loop came wandering around the corner. Thanks for the cache.
A nice easy find... Certainly easier than others around the lagoon. The only eyes on us were some pukeko chicks squeaking away nearby. Thanks for this cache!
#556 The cache was impossible to miss, given its generous size. Thanks for the hide!
Checked this cache for the owner and is all good. No sign of damage. Thanks for the cache.
Which ever person decided to fill the hole cache up with gravel ur a dick don’t ruin it for the rest of us snapped pencil everything covered in mud an even a smashed egg in there yuck!!
A frigging little shit named Felix has stuffed this, I’ll be back in September to swap it out, unless someone else would like the location.
After dropping the family off for their overseas flight early this morning, I made sure to allow enough time before heading back to Whangarei, to go for a wander and collect a few caches. These ones around the Mangere Lagoon looked interesting and I hoped to knock them off in an hour or so.
Well, I hadn't figured on a lot of them being G-2 caches and in typical fashion, some were quite sneaky hides that took a lot longer to locate than anticipated. No luck finding this one, even though the hint was reasonably specific, and the regular size, which I thought should have made the search easier. Either I'm totally blind or it may be MIA. Thx anyway.

I best go to specsavers, this was found the day before apparently, but I can't find anything, maybe my eyes are too used to the smaller bison variety that I'm blind to the large ones!
2 DNF in a row... 3 strikes and I'm out!!

Woohoo! Had Kezzle33 absolutely STOKED we had trades as someone had left us some lollies here thaaaank you!
M24: M13 rushed ahead to find this one while i was logging the previous one, a nice and easy cache to find, log all good and signed. TFTC.
The kids were so happy to find this one so easily. They were also excited to find one so big with so many exciting things inside. I think this is our last cache for the day so great one to finish on. TFTC
The weather has been great today, and I finally got the all clear to get my bike out of the basement that's been closed off for the past 10 days, and it's International Earthcache Day, which were all good reasons for me to go for a bike ride today! I didn't really plan where I was going, which is how I ended up over here. This was the only cache around the lagoon that I hadn't found so I made sure to stop and find it this morning. Nice and easy and a good size. Thanks for placing it!

We had a plan to tackle a different trail but Keylev couldn't commit a full day. So we decided to clean up this area and hopefully walk away with a decent cache count.
Up on our bikes through this grassy area. We spent some time searching but Keylev came up with it. TFTC

Didn’t expect to be able to find this cache, but I had looked at the photos from previous finders so I knew what it would look like.
As we approached, something caught my eye. It was the cache!!
Thrown to the side of the trail about 56 meters from the posted coords!
Lid was off, but we found that too, cache was totally soaked, full of water.
No paper meant I needed to sign a domino.
Not really sure where the cache was suppose to go, so I tucked it away with some natural camo over it.
CO is aware, but if you are passing by sometime soon, bring a spare log!
Always neat when you find a muggled cache!

Really over-complicated that one. Spotted something I thought would be an elegant hide and completely missed the obvious. TFTC.
We were hurrying around the lagoon at this point, as Jacksonz had to be at the airport to pick someone up, so as he was messaging back and forth I managed to grab this cache nice and quick. Such a good size for a cache, nice to check out the swag. Thanks for the cache. #1168
Off to pick up Miss Jacksonz from the airport, so took the opportunity to head to Mangere early with a Small Pooka, and walk around the Mangere Lagoon between showers. Thankfully a quick find here as we were behind time. An admirably large cache. TFTC.
Very good but very easy to find hiding spot, and we even took some trinkets!

Nice and easy find and a very nice sized cache. Tftc

Thought it would be more difficult without any hint or description but Dad was too fast haha. The kids loved exploring all the bits inside it, thank you!
Quick easy find - thankfully, as don't seem to have my eye in today. Nice trail & lots of quaking to heard. TFTC
Great hiding spot. I was concerned when I didn't see a hint, but found within a few seconds. Such a fantastic walk we did around the lagoon. We lived it, and so many singibg tuis.
Family outing on this side of Auckland. Mmm....this loop walk seems a good place to have some cache. Voila!
This one was the third one of the afternoon. Who would find it? With mum and second son walking slowly, the chance was for dad and first born. Son found it!

A nice decent sized cache and grabbed the resident GC to move on. Easily located after ignoring the nearby flax! T F T C G-2
As part of our ongoing relocation from Blenheim to Auckland it's time to collect the cat from Auckland airport after his luxury (means expensive) flight from the beautiful South. That meant I had to be at the cargo shed to collect him and I made sure I was there in plenty of time. And so I decided to participate in the Ambury Farm Lab caches, and any collateral additionals (there were some). A fine day weather-wise after the house pack arrived yesterday and being allocated rooms or the garage down the road meant I needed a break, and took one.

Dot thought he found it but it really was just an egg. Bit more hunting and again the man comes up with the hide. Brillant a good size cache. Unload a larger ghost bell and a tb. Tftc

In Auckland for a few days for my daughters wedding this afternoon. Before she announced her wedding date, I had planned to get at least 96 caches of various types sizes and D/T ratings etc. to get my find numbers up to 101 and as my other leap day achievemnets as possible. However once she anoounced leap day as her wedding day I had to pare back my goals for the day to just finding 21 caches as quick as I could first thing in the morning. I chose this area for the concentration of caches. Unfortunately, being under time pressure, if I couldn't find a cache within a couple of minutes, I had to move on. This cache was soon found. TFTC.
