Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".

So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

**Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Down here at this lovely remote reserve waiting on my hiking group to arrive. And to my joy there are a couple of geocaches here. Found another nice size container at its hiding place.

It’s one good thing leaving a cache nearby to home. Ultimately it becomes unloved. Although numerous entries in the log book that aren’t recorded online suggest otherwise. Cache was found out in the open. There was no spot nearby that came close to matching the hint so I placed it in a reasonably obvious spot. Everything inside was dry and in good condition.

Was feeling sick as a dog this morning but had to work, after copping flack from a couple dirty southern residents in that island called Tasmania for not getting a cache on WORLD GEOCACHING DAY I thought on the way home I’d best keep them happy, I zoomed onto this one and was very pleasantly suprised with the area. Ripper walk and once I’m feeling better I’ll be back here to hit all the tracks for sure. What a spot ️, quick find with a decent container Smile
No RUSTY MILO TIMS HERE
Thanks very much for placing this cache and brining me to this spot.

Looked like something (animal?) had really gotten into gz, cache was in the open but safe. Replaced everything as best we could, it's a lovely park to visit TNLNSL TFTC

A number of years ago I attended here and #1 was one of my first finds but due to lack of experience, I was unable to find this one. Today I returned for a bit of a training hike after my normal training track was burnt in recent bushfires, and thought I’d give this one a crack. A quick find left me scratching my head as to how I could possibly have missed it almost 4 years ago.

SuperPop had come down to visit us for a few days and even with the forecasted unpleasant weather we were determined to try and get a few caches for the day before the heat really set in.

We lived in Guys Hill for many years and knew of this reserve but had never taken the time to go and visit it so now with two caches here we had a lot more incentive to come and have a look Although the evidence of logging is still here it's great to see the reserve slowly coming back as nature intended and being the home to such a wide range of birds.

The cache itself was a nice easy find and we happily added our names to the log book before heading off to try our luck at the next one.

Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache.

I had been over in Officer for an "all day" meeting that actually only lasted until lunch time... so that left me with some cache hunting time on my way home.

Having found the *#1* cache, it seemed only appropriate to take a quiet stroll along the track and find this one too.

Thanks **Pinkpiggy7** for putting this cache out there.

Well, what can I say other than I have been very very inactive that last couple of months couple that with some lack of logging from the past couple of geocaching days it equates to me not having done anything at all really....... but I digress. So today I woke up a little early to e sure that both the food and some caches could be found before I head off to work tonight. Today was a rather successful day with many finds. I do apologize for the generic log but am rather mentally fried after my third-year uni exams. Thx for the cache and the lovely day.

Was in the area tonight dropping off a trailer to a friends and took the long way home. Took me three hours longer than usual, oops! But didn’t get into too much trouble. Some great little spots in the area, love exploring this part of the burbs, it’s just great. TFTC

Lovely area here and would like to explore more but starting to run out of time. Not sure that I parked in the correct location however, because I didn't find the public toilets, shelter, BBQ and otger facilities.
Perhaps I'll have to come back again and explore the rest of the area.
Thanks for the cache Pink Piggy 7 and for bringing me here

A quick find after a nice walk. Didn't see any others here.

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I usually cache on my own but sometimes I will collect my nephew stinky bob and my brother stinky tom who both enjoy this hobby.
A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

Another nice quick find, GPS led me straight to it today. Lovely peaceful area. All in good condition, TFTC!

13-Mar-17
I had a TB that I'd had for too long but we haven't been able to do much caching for a while so I hadn't found anything suitable to put it in. I'd come here for a walk so I decided to drop it in here Smile

Just out cruising the North of my 10k zone. Always a nice walk through here. Tftc Pinkpiggy7 Smile

29-Jan-17
It's 30 degrees out which isn't obscenely hot, but still a little uncomfortable to be walking in the area. You don't quite get exposed to those "fresh sea breezes" in this location. But still this is a nice park. *Very* quiet. Didn't spot much wildlife other than a few bugs and many Monarch butterflies. Cache is in good condition. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for placing caches out this way... close enough to suburbia to make it easy to get to, but feels like miles from anywhere.

What a lovely summer day for a walk in a lovely reserve. Apart from a group of three walking their dogs (dogs not allowed in the reserve), we had the place to ourselves. Blue pin cushions and fringe lilies were the wild flowers we saw the most. After our walk we had a picnic lunch once again we had the picnic area to ourselves. When we reached the point in the track close to GZ the phone was bouncing all over the place, so i looked around for a place that could harbour a cache, and there it was. Thanksgiving to the pinkpiggies for bringing us to a reserve that we hadn't been to before. Cheers. Bwbandit

Just before dark, should have stuck to the track

On a walk with geokids on a warm, sunny arvo. We left a treasure coin and geodaughter took a baby bones and geoboy a bus. They couldn't decide on just one swap to take.

With the sun having broken through the clouds and the slight rainy showers disappeared, it was a pleasant walk through the reserve. A lovely little spot, and after adding my name to the log I set off to loop back to the entrance.

Thanks for the cache.

After wasting way too much time at the last cache I tried I gave up and headed here. This restored my faith in my own skills. Good site in lovely bush.

05-Jan-16
Easy find and swapped some trinkets

03-Jan-16
Found it.
While attempting a few caches in the area we thought this would be an easy pick up,
but as usual just when you think it will be easy the GPs decides it doesn't want to play any more.
So while we tried to get the GPs functional again we ended up a couple of hundred meters
further from our target than we needed to be and if the GPs had not restarted we also
would have had a much longer walk back to the car as we had also missed the turn off to the
track we hiked in on. In the end we succeeded and the walk back to the car was a little more
enjoyable except for the flies!
TFTC.

Today was to be a blast from the past with a trip out caching with Kiwideb and Alansan. Unfortunately Alansan was not well, so it turned out to be just Kiwideb and myself. We enjoyed the short walk down to GZ, where the cache was quickly located.

My thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for the cache.

Number 7 for the day and they don't get much easier. As I approached gz there was one obvious hide in front of me, and sure enough, that was it. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

Nearly forgot, we saw a lyrebird crossing the road as we left here, so take it slow and quiet and you might spot some wildlife while you are here.

A beautiful spot to walk in. The kids took their bikes and, apart from a couple of areas, were able to ride around and enjoy a sunny, if a bit chilly afternoon. The cache was duly located and log signed and Mr Smurf came home with us Smile

30/01/2015, Found @ 9:16 pm, Find # 4052.

On a trip that took me through Pakenham to Gembrook and beyond, I stopped now and then to find a cache or two, this was one of them.
I was only here two weeks ago and now I am back again and maybe again in the future.
I headed down a different track this time until I reached GZ or did I as the GPSr was still having real issues on locking in on where it was meant to be, at times it was changing up to 25 metres so it was a matter of searching a big area, eventually the cache was found, the log was signed and I was on my way once again.

Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for placing this cache.

Congrats biggles1024, perhaps I would have given you a race if I knew the gate was open and I could have driven to GZ - I was feeling pretty average yesterday so let it go through to the keeper I had a feeling it would be you knowing Day1976 was away and msenchantress wasn't around Smile Thanks again for another cache that has helped my daily cache situation pinkpiggy7 I brought geogranni along with me ( she still doesn't know what she is doing!) Find #1880

I needed a find for today but also had to be in Narre Warren at 3:00pm to attend an appointment. There are no caches anywhere Narre left for me to find except "The Matrix" which no-one has yet found so I was going to have to go further afield. I'd picked out a drive-by cache just north of Pakenham but then I saw this cache published. I was in this very reserve just last Friday night with my caching partner Stemicmitsar and remarked then how odd it was the Pinkpiggy7 had published #1 in this series but no more. PP loves caching series which made it seem even odder and now, less than a week later, number two appears.Razz
I didn't really give myself a chance of FTF but at the same time I figured that a few of the local FTF hounds would be out of the running. PP owns this cache, Day was most likely at work and TeamThommo may be tied up with school holiday activities or may have simply decided that it was too hot to bring young children outside.
There were no dramas in finding my way here and for the first time ever, I found the gate open. Surprised I drove in and parked at the picnic area and then proceeded a few hundred metres on foot.
It was a quick and easy find and I took advantage of the good sized container to leave to trackables that I'd been carrying around but not before taking photos near GZ for the benefit of the TB owners.
A very welcome cache. SL TNLN TFTC

Left two (2) TB's.
