We were in the general area finding the new caches on the cycleway and couldn't resist heading over to grab another cache or two. It ended up being only one as the nice weather suddenly turned to torrential rain but we managed to get this one before the worst of it hit.The trees are definitely very mature now but we can imagine how the area looked back in 2013. What a lovely way to remember Kelsie's birth. The tree line is quite thick in most places but fortunately there was a very convenient entry point to GZ with minimal bush bashing required and we soon located the cache exactly where the hint suggested.Another supernannny hide ticked off. Now to get back to the car before the rain gets too heavy.TFTC.
I went into the wrong part of the bush but eventually found my way to the spot. It was hard to see as the sunlight was almost gone and I almost gave up but then found it. The cache was pretty wet and had a bit of water in the bottom of it dried as best I could and recovered to make it less exposed to the eye. TFTC
Thankyou lulubelle!
Here now to check....
All good and in correct position.
Added some more leaves on top.

Was interested in this one which I missed on first pass when heading to a yellow other. Retreated down to here and across the grass and a careful check of the plants revealed the alluded to tree and the cache was located shortly afterwards. When I replaced covered I added a golf ball I found on the floor nearby in the tree nook. Cheers supernannny.
Out the door nice and early today as Friday is mrs capperz's early work start day so means I'm out before the sun gets it's hots on. Targetted the Souther Te Atatu area along and near the Whau river banks with solved puzzles a target along with any traditionals and a Multi when passing. Many caches were fromthe same CO, must be rustynz territory, with a few other COs also helping make up an 18 cache haul, before 10 AM! Thanks to all COs for their hides and caches today.

Not sure if I was just incredibly unobservant but I could not spot any pohutukawa near the spot the GPS brought me to...would've expected to spot the red flowers instantly since it's summer. Lots of kowhai around. Either way, it was a cool, breezy spot so I still enjoyed hunting around the bushes.
I am out and about for a spot of geocaching this afternoon, while it is windy but not rainy. I parked up and made the short walk into the little playing field. I read the CO's note as I went, with rather detailed instructions. Not unsurprisingly it was a super quick find thanks to that. I made sure to cover with leaves before I left. Cheers for the cache placement!
Clever hide, had to use the spoiler photo, great for testing your tree knowledge. And we forgot our pen
#9802. I am up in Auckland once more for a couple of weeks. I had a few hours spare this afternoon to pick up some local caches. Parked nearby and wandered into the deserted park. Bit squelchy underfoot today. Soon spotted a likely hiding spot but could not feel a cache there. Checked all around and still nothing. Read some logs and had a look at the spoiler image. Yep its the same spot. Looked a lot more carefully and this time felt in buried a lot deeper in the leaf litter. Phew. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found but should be a bit easier to spot next time as its not as buried as when I found it. Thanks supernannny for the cache.
Introduced a couple of my friends to caching today and found this one together. Was an ammeter and forgot to bring a pen to log but did take a photo to use as proof if needed. A lovely little hiding spot!
Not Missing At All!
Still here waiting to be found.
I could see some green tape peeping at me....
Very easy as it seems to be the only big Pohutukawa near the co ords.
Directly behind the middle one of 3 kowhai.
Hip / waist height .
Please recover with leaves

Cache find #100! Cool little cache. Had trouble trying to find the right hairy tree but miss 7 ended up finding it. Tftc
Have replaced cache.
It is now nesting in a hairy pohutukawa....waist height.
A few marbles here can swap for tiny toys.

Found it but container was open on ground. I put it back together but couldn’t find paper log nearby. Photo as evidence of find. TFTC
Found this after a quick search. Nicely hidden, should of looked there earlier

Today I was back in Auckland for a work trip and had some spare time to find a few caches before getting down to work. I decided to head West to see what I could find. My second attempt here after nearly four years. This time I was successful in finding the cache exactly where it was supposed to be. TFTC, Biggles.
Took a little longer than expected had to move little further back, to find the cahhe
Nicely recycled container and neat little park. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC
Was waiting for nzwashers to finish Transporter 1 so came round here to fill in some time. Nice wee park and a nice quick find. TFTC
20 November 2016 13:18 Nice idea the trees are growing nicely. TFTC supernannny
Second find for my sister on her first ever geocaching trip after we finished up a nice afternoon tea at her house. Nice to have a stroll around their neighbourhood and see the kids playing and the odd bbq. Down at the park some kids were playing close to GZ but we managed to slip out of sight without arousing suspicion and found the cache, slightly away from where our GPSr directed us but right in line with the hint. Everything was in good condition here, no problems signing and replacing the log. TFTC.
Quick find! Our gps was a bit off but soon found the cache after looking a bit wider. Good use of recycling! TFTC

Ten months ago I came here and I failed. Now it's 2016 and I'm back! **Zeal** pumped in my veins as I strolled this grass again. Again, the Sun had just set but I was not failing again, oh no, I ducked in the bushes and I found this cache!
Thanks for the cache!

Great idea for a cache container!! Found quickly once I realised that I was searching at the wrong co-ordinates. TFTC
Ground quite boggy but once I got past the first few metres it was fine. Glad I persisted, as this was a fantastic idea for a cache. Nice use of recycled material
After all the rain and having the day off from work I figured I would grab a few caches after dropping the kids off at school this morning. So I swung by to have a look and made the quick find...TFTC! #1015
Needed a cache for my daily streak and I thought this one will be perfect. It was drizzling when I did a short walk to the GZ. Did a bit of search here and there, but reading the description made everything clear and found the cache soon. Cache looks all good but may need a new log book and log bag. tftc Supernannny..!!
I had to search the planted tree first before I expanded to the established ones. It still took me a bit of looking since I was too close to it to notice. TFTC.
Saved this one for Leap day
Made it to the park before the heavens opened - but by the time I found the cache I was having to dodge cats and dogs
Nice park, nice cache - lovely cache owner! Will come back and sign when it is less damp! Didn't want to wet the log.

Had to get my caching fix. Just had enough time to scoot out before the T20 cricket match today. My phone got me close enough and the geosense did the rest. I thought id been spotted for a second as a whole bunch of kids started shouting the moment I touched the cache! Cache in good nick, logbook is dry thanks

Brushed around in the bushes but no goodie. It was just past sunset so it was also getting dark, that could also be the reason for this failure.

Thought this one was going to be a bit tough, as there are a lot of rabbit trails through the tall grass. Trick is finding the right one. Quick find once at GZ. Nice re-purposing of the container. TFTC
#361 Dropped off Geokids and muggle grandparents at the new cinema nearby. Long route home took me past this cache for a quick daily find. Nice spot for a quick grab.

Had a good hunt around, but no luck
Had to cut my hunt short when some kids came to kick a ball around
Need to come back another day with fresh eyes.

I was passing nearby so made a short detour to hunt for this one. This took longer than it should, my gpsr kept wanting to take me out in the park, then towards a particular tree but after a thorough search of said tree I had a look elsewhere and there it was staring right at me! TFTC, I'd never been to this park before and love the idea of planting trees for babies.
Took a few goes, but finally found today. Gps kept changing its mind about where to go. Tftc
