Staying a few days in Ballarat on our tour of Australia.
Boy it is very cold here this week. Maximum of 10degrees. From Perth WA that is VERRRRYYYYY COLD. [8)]
We had solved a puzzle to allow us qualify for a new Geocaching.com souvenir but had to travel to Beaufort to make the find. So today we concentrated our efforts around there.
OMG did this cache torture us. Think we had 8 different sets of co-ords over the day, primarily not reading the cache page correctly initially. collect a number but do we do maths with it????????????????
Anyways once that devil was sorted still not a promising number. We checked and rechecked thinking maybe this maybe that. Finally resorting to PAF but alas they were unavailable.
Not happy be getting close to resigned for a DNF when we decided to try one last thing! BINGO phew what a tricky cache that was. Love the history you shared here.

Catching up on some logs that I have discovered hadn't been published yet. As always I have enjoyed the challenge of looking for and finding this cache.
Many thanks chooknchunk for placing this cache .

After a great day of catching up with fellow cachers at the 2 events in Ararat yesterday we were heading home in the company of The Coffees and micaparamedic collecting a few caches along the way.
We were not planning on doing this one as the weather was not looking good but when we got here it had stopped raining so we thought at least we would start.
Things were on our side and we really enjoyed the tour of Beaufort and its historic buildings.
With all the information gathered we calculated GZ and the cache was located in a logical location.
The cache was found after a short search and our names have been added to the log.
Many thanks chooknchunk for a very interesting multi.

In Ararat today with ST37E and McLookers to attend 2 events and do a spot of caching in between. On our way out to Ararat we stopped in Beaufort in the pouring rain to collect the necessary information for this one. Hmmm, something doesn't look right??? After a quick chat with the CO at one of the event we realised our error so quickly recalculated and picked up the hide on our way back to Ballarat. Thanks chooknchunk.
Having gathered the information on the way through town this morning, something didn't seem quite right. After a quick chat at an event, we found the error and were able to collect this in the dark on our way back through. Thanks chooknchunk, we loved the tour of the buildings, the history is very interesting.
Found with Glanville Girls and McLookers on the way home after a day in Ararat, we started this one earlier in the day but we we're a little unsure about a few of our answers and after a few conversations throughout the day we saw our errors
Once at GZ it was a very quick find, thanks for the tour along the street

On our [trip around the world](http://www.hoppundweg.piekar.de/) we came to Australia as well. We started in Tasmania, rented a campervan in Melbourne and went up the Eastcoast to Cairns. Then we drove all the way to the Red Centre. We finished in Darwin. We searched many caches and found almost every cache we searched for . Thanks to all the owners of these caches. Now, 2 years later, we recognized, we will never be able to log every cache seperately... So: Sorry for this standard logtext and thanks for one of the caches, which accompanied us on our journey.
Short stop in Beaufort. During our driver drunk a coffee we decide to find this multicache. All stations and values were easy to find, so we were able to find the box after a short search period. Thanks a lot for the cache.
Checked today. Thank you for the re-hide and the log Feathertop. Everything in place.
There are not many multis around these days but I like to do a couple if they are available and I was not going to be doing your night cache so this one was chosen. I got a good look at Havelock St. Almost didn't find the cache itself as it was on the ground, obviously fallen and I wasn't expecting it to be there. I have replaced it where I think it might have been. CO might want to check at some stage.
Thanks chooknchunk

Suscoe's 14th find of today nice on our Ballarat and surrounds adventure in the company of our rogaining sister.
A rainy day was settling in and more was coming from the North West.
With lunch done we wandered the street looking for the clues. (We waved but not sure if we were seen.)
With them gathered a likely GZ was calculated and away we went.
Cache located by the sister.
Nice to be back to complete the remaining caches that we left from the event weekend last year,
Thanks to chooknchunk for placing this cache.

After lunch and the opportunity to catch up with many caching friends at the BBQ @ Beaufort Event we set out to find some of the caches which have recently popped up close to town. We really enjoyed this multi, learning more about some special Beaufort buildings and chatting to locals who must have been curious about the sudden interest in their street.
Thanks to chooknchunk for the hunt.

One event under our belt for our ChooknChunk weekend at Beaufort, one more event today.
Beautiful weather for caching (thanks for arranging that!), but we were glad of some shade at lunchtime.
We spent all day around Beaufort doing all the new caches put out for this weekend.
After the event we started on the caches in town, this was our first. A nice stroll down the street with some interesting stops, and a bit of history.
By the time we had got to the final way point we had re-met one of the CO's (they were still packing up the event), and we stopped for a chat.
We walked across to GZ just in time to see a few other cachers drive off.
Thanks, Robmc.

Whilst attending the event I received a rather huge hint on this cache.
So did a quick walk and found the cache.

# 7170. Lunch and party time are now over and it is time to look for a few caches here in town before making our way back to Lake Burrumbete.
We had a little stumble at the Court House so decided to do this one first while we reconsidered things. Parked mid-way and strolled first this way and then the other. Managed to catch one of the CO's and lament our lack of a cache at the Court House. Continued on our way to GZ and there was a silver 4x4 parked suspiciously close. They drove off as we crossed the road and we soon saw fresh logs in the cache book. Ours are there too now. Love Erskine House - there are a lot of wonderful old houses in town.
Thanks chooknchunk

A nice easy multi that shows off some of the bits of this town - just how a multi should be! An easy find at a not too far off GZ as well, thanks chooknchuck.
Had a look at the details for this one while enjoying lunch at the nearby park. It was interesting to see the different types of buildings in this street and the architecture of them. Couldn't believe that little weighbridge structure had been shifted four times! A very helpful man going to play croquet told us that the workings were still under the rotunda as we stood looking at the sign. Got to GZ and did the cacher's walk quite a few times before The Tritonz wandered over and soon located the cache. Just about to put it back, but 6hinemoa2 and Sorcey Sal were too quick for us. A group of cachers at this spot. Wonder what the locals thought. TFTC
Find No. 779. Found with FUF009 at 2.45pm
Went to Beaufort for a day's caching and to attend the The Beaufort Bash evening event.
After finishing the Camp Hill Trail series it was into Beaufort to grab some lunch and spend the rest of day finding other caches in the area.
After lunch. we decided to walk the street to get the answers for this one - only we done it backwards. This is the way we like multi's - all within walking distance.
At the final - oh no muggled again, only this time it was 'The Palace' pulling up, with driver Kinkell1 and TB Tilly on board.

Found on a great day out with Wozzle68. It was such a nice short walk and a great bit of history. TFTC.
I had made an attempt on this one ealier in the afternoon but I miss counted the windows and ended up in the completely the wrong place. On returning home, I rethought my number and came up with some new ones that seemed much more plausible. I swung by on my way to the dinner envy and was able to retrieve the cache. Another good one, thanks chooknchunk.
Found this one today with Misschief18. We discussed this one over lunch and decided we'd give it a go. We got the coords ok but then on reaching GZ we had trouble finding the cache and all of a sudden we were caught in the act by Tritons and they joined in the search and we soon had cache in hand but hadn't quite got it back before Sorceysal and 6Hinemoa2 arrived at GZ so we ended up having a mini event at GZ in the shade.

Found at 10:19 AM GAFF1 in the company of The Morris. Half of our team headed off to get some breakfast while Mrs Morris and p-pprass gathered the nearby information and to our surprise found that the log book had no other entries. We were pretty sure that no one would have done this cache yet - it's a multi
Nicely pointed out historic locations which were not too onerous.
Thanks chooknchunk.

Havelock Street is a very interesting street . Sorceysal and I collected all the info and was heading off to GZ hoping that all was OK. As soon as we turned the corner we knew we were right as a suspicious group of people had gathered just up head. Fortunately for us they hadn't returned the cache before we descended upon them. Thankfully the boys managed to replace it for us. That made things much easier than it would have been.
TFTC and the history lesson again here chooknchunk. Beaufort will never be the same!

The aim of today was to attend The Beaufort Bash and find some of the new caches placed for the occasion in the company of 6hinemoa2. We had a lot of laughs and great conversation along the way.
Had a pleasant walk around admiring these old buildings collecting the required numbers and then off to GZ. Off course as we were heading there, we noticed a lot of others around GZ quickly trying to sign and rehide the cache. Tooooo slow. Met the Two Wanderers, Mischief 18 and the Tritonz signing the log so after a quick chat it was off to find some more

I really enjoyed checking out these building that I have previously driven past many times before without a second glance. I even thought I might be in with a shot of getting a FTF but that was not to be hehe. Thanks for the education chooknchunk!
We wandered over from Bendigo for Beaufort's first get together and set up camp in the delightful little caravan park.
Today we were out and about with the Prassinaters and while C-Prass restocked the pantry and Mr Morris bought some coffees P-Prass and Lady Morris wandered along and collected the clues and located the hide. A neat little FTF for P-Prass but Lady Morris snaffled the pathtag.

Looking around the town for somewhere to vote with Google maps sending us on a wild goose chase, we stumbled across some suspicious characters walking in circles. Hmmm that cache isn't on the map, we must have found the end of a multi. Joined in on the hunt and luckily for us we spotted the cache. So now we feel vindicated that we have done our share of the work.
