Loved this walk, very scenic and many wildflowers at this time of the year. I approached from the east after coming from Eagle Rock. Disturbed a kangaroo a few metres from the cache, having already disturbed a dozen in the few minutes prior. Cache was in good condition. Cheers AlliedOz!
No problems here.
Thoroughly enjoying one of my favourite trails of old.
TFTC .

A morning walk with themongrel enjoying all the wildflowers that are out at the moment tftc
Big thanks to Barnzy12 who took the walk and sorted this one for me while my knees are stuffed.
Did my jobs in the morning - this means I can go for a walk in the bush and get some caches. This time to do some John Forrest NP. Beautiful arvo for it - a quick find. Thanks for the hide.
Out for a bit of a walk on the eagle view trail to cleanup the three remaining caches here and perform some cache maintenance for alliedOz.
Good hike, flowers out, and a few hikers out too.
Thanks for the fun.
New preform in place here. Co ords we’re 3m when I took a reading so no update required.

Plans to have it back in action soon, if they fall through, I'll be looking to let this one go.
###Cache Owner Action Needed###
This cache has been brought to my attention as likely to be missing.
After a string of successful Finds, it has now had a string of DNFs. I agree that this certainly suggests that something has happened at the cache location which requires investigation by the CO, AlliedOz.
The cache will be disabled and I'll check back in 30 days to see if either
- the CO has checked or rectified the apparent problem
- the CO has communicated in a Note log here, when action will be taken
**If the CO has not taken either of these actions, then we can only assume that the cache has been abandoned and, regrettably, it will be archived.**
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

Not today for me..great day for a wander in the hills. crisp start but then as the fog burned off it was amazing to be out amongst it cheers for the hide
Had a good around the obvious place. Didn't want start trampling the plants and muggles were catching up.
Friday morning hike in the hills, taking advantage of possibly the last cool morning of the year.
Took a good 5-10 minutes of hunting but eventually found the cache a few metres north of GZ, closer to the path. TFTC

Circling the larger rocks, looked back towards the path and spotted the sneaky hide. A few metres off. Cache no.6 on an Eagle View trek. TFTC.
The rest of the crew were getting further away as I continued not to find the cache. Had to give up. Hope is still there. Will have another look next time. Thanks AlliedOz for bringing me here.
Had about 40 minutes to spare, so made a quick dash for this cache which has been nagging at me as it is one of the closest to my home (as the crow flies anyway).
Once in the vicinity of GZ, luckily spotted it upon approach after keeping a sharp eye out closer to the trail as per previous logs.
Really enjoyed the hike despite the time pressures and look forward to picking up the rest of the caches in this beautiful area. TFTC AlliedOz.

Found this one just off the trail. GPS coords are about 6 meters off. TFTC! With pegb.
Up at John Forrest doing the Eagle View walk trail in training for the Kokoda. It would have been a crime to walk by caches without finding them so find them I did. After coming up empty where my gps was indicating GZ was I started looking at previous logs which indicated I should broaden my search. Having done so i made a quick find. TFTC.
I hadn't been along this stretch of the track before and I found it much more interesting, with it being narrow and winding as it wanders up and down the slopes. I thought this one was going to be tough for some reason, but I ended up finding it pretty quickly. Apologies for the late log. TFTC AlliedOz
As per earlier posts -- yes, definitely 6m closer to the path ! With no need to bash around in the low bush.

We yomped up from Christmas Tree Creek following the kangaroo tracks enjoying the stunning bush. Once at GZ it took a few minutes to find the tube which was a few metres away. Top spot, thanks!
A friend and I had decided to hike the Eagle View trail today, and she was nice enough to let me find a few caches on the way. I found this one after reading the previous log and looking closer to the path. Thank you!
Having eventually found the path at the nearby Eagle cache, I wasn't going to lose it. I wandered along enjoying the solitude and scenery. As I arrived at GZ, there was a couple resting on a rock along the side of the track only a few metres from GZ. They moved on when I arrived so I was able to search unhindered. It took quite some time to locate this cache which I eventually found only about 6m North of where my GPSr suggested was GZ but in a location I wasn't expecting. Thanks again AlliedOz.
Nope.. No luck here, After reading the last log I will return and expand my search a bit.. A good reason to come and do the walk again.
(Chwiliwr team catch up)We decided to do some caching today instead of Chwiliwr painting so walked a tiny bit of the Eagle View Trail to get here. Only found the cache after expanding the search out from the obvious GZ that the GPS gave us after finding nothing there. Thanks AlliedOz for the cache.

Thanks AlliedOz for the cache.
Whilst exploring the John Forrest NP with my family (jasenjanine), this was one of the caches we found today... Thanks AlliedOz
Our 'little walk' through John Forrest NP continued, and it had warmed up considerably . The kids were starting to get a bit knackered by the time we reached this cache, and with Master 3 not well and having fallen over about a dozen times, we were starting to think that we'd bitten off a little more than we could chew
I began the search for this one solo, but after 5 minutes and almost sticking my head into a wasps nest , Janine joined in. We widened our search in different directions, and it was Janine who found it after another 10 minutes .
We added our names to the log, and returned the cache before looking up at what we had ahead of us. Sometimes i truly think that we are crazy [:o)] .... TFTC AlliedOz

WOOHOO FTF at 8:00am!!
I haven't been in this part of the park for a very long time, and it was nice to walk this section of the trail again. It doesn't seem to get a lot of use, as parts of it were starting to get a bit overgrown.
After searching the main feature for a long time at GZ, and staring down a few nests of paperwasps, I applied what I learnt at the first cache, and then had the tube in hand shortly thereafter.
Thanks for the cache AlliedOZ!

Walked across from Eagle Rock on the main trail which is narrow but easy to follow. Christmas Creek below had a bit of a trickle in it which was nice. Got to GZ and quickly came face to face with R0gue's wasps and after a bit of searching got stung on the hand by one - they have set up camp right where my GPS was pointing. Was just about to give up when Firnsy appeared - nice to meet you and have a chat! - and after a couple of minutes conferring I headed off and left him to it!
I'd seen these two caches published on Saturday night and thought about going out early Sunday morning but decided not to. Then today I had a touch of Mondayitis ... I don't get it often, today ). And I noticed that these caches still hadn't been logged online so thinking there might be an FTF opportunity, I shook off the Mondayitis and decided to go caching. Then, just as I was about to leave, the FTF logs came through. No worries ... I wasn't going to change my plans because of a couple of Rogue logs.
Arrived here after a brisk uphill walk from GC5FRJ4 and noticed a cacher just leaving GZ as I arrived. Turned out to be olthomas ... good to meet you finally after a couple of online interactions. We chatted briefly and even discussed something Rogue had written in her log, but didn't twig to what she meant. olthomas decied to leave and I hunted around fruitlessly for a few more minutes, then had another think about Rogue's log, got an idea and had the cache in hand a moment or two later.
Signed the log and headed up the hill on the other side of the creek. Thanks for the hide AlliedOz
