Thanks for the Cache BernieH, camped at Picnic point and took the electric Bicycle for a ride. It is a fine day and the bike performed well. It surprises me how much exercise I end up getting. The Point gave a great outlook of the lake and there were all sorts of craft buzzing about. The Cache is in excellent condition.Regards from Victourer

It was super long weekend time! The forecast was for cracking weather and a group of us were all set up along the Delatite Arm on Lake Eildon. We battled the clouds of dust and erratic drivers to explore the arm. It was time to return back to camp but not before 1 final find. Some groups were fishing down the hill nearby but fish was not our aim. A nice quick find here on the side of the hill. Thanks BernieH for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------The 12 Days of Cachemas series is now live. Now that's what I call "cache security"! Subtle it's not but secure it most certainly is. A stainless steel cable crimped in a loop and threaded through the main container no less! It'll take a determined interloper to "nick" that one.

We had no luck finding this one back in Oct'16 (probably "nicked") so thought we would have a look again today since we were poking around the Delatite Arm Reserve area today and this time were successful. In fact I reckon even Blind Freddy could even find this cache now!

TFTC!

I think this cache has gone. Maybe a maintenance check would be worthwhile to confirm, or otherwise, it's demise.
Cheers!

25-Oct-16
Nah, it's gone I reckon. All four of us had a really good look around and like the previous cachers over the past 12 months we couldn't locate it. Time to ask the owner to do a maintenance check me think!

25-Oct-16
Saw the DNF's but gave it a go anyway, think it's a gonner as it's been over 12 months since found.

25-Oct-16
Out for a day of caching and 4WD'ing with Biggles of Oz and Mrs Biggles. After descending down from the Highett Point Track, and quite abruptly I might add, we stopped here to get our breath back and pump our tyres back up. With four pairs of eyes having a thorough look, and with previous DNFs, it is either a very sneaky hide or it has gone missing, and like Biggles of Oz says it may need to be checked by the owner.

Cruising around the lake grabbing some random caches.
Interesting spot here and the tree's certainly stood out as a highlight. Seemed a little odd to see those tree's amongst the ones we did expected to see. Wonder of years back there was a homestead of some sort here??
The water level was down so unfortunately it wasn't at our feet and in a way that was probably a good thing because we may not have left the area!
The cache was found in good order and we appreciate you bringing us here, thanks BernieH [^]

Being well into summer and with an El Nino threatening us once again, the lake levels are not are high as they potentially could be. As such the water was not quite lapping at our feet but the views were quite spectacular nevertheless. We've been touring the area thanks to our virtual L.E.G. tour guide who has some assistants (such as this cache Wink) - this being a bonus to our excursion. Our thanks to BernieH for encouraging us to such a great location, a favourite for that reason. Cheers [^]

Good cache spot.
Exelent views across the lake here.
Stopped for a bit to get some cold drinks out since it's getting pretty warm.
A nice day to be hanging around the lake and not disappointed at coming here.

Manzie just had the boat serviced so insisted on taking it out for a run, despite the prevailing wind and rain. We pulled up on the bank and walked to GZ. Turns out we went the long way, but that's okay, it was still a pretty short walk. Cache was soon in hand, log signed and we were on our way back to Jerusalem Creek, with virtually the whole lake to ourselves … well, us and a few crazy fishermen! TFTC!

#280 - Took a few muggle friends out on the lake on this beautiful day to get a few caches done! At first they were a bit skeptical as to what 'Geocaching' was but after the day was done they were believes and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great location, it was a nice ride from Eildon to do the cache, Tftc.

The bananas have a little program that finds all the unfounded treasure in Victoria. By finding this one for the first time the number has dropped to a single request with no more than 20. It won't last. There are always added unsolvable puzzles that will probably never be found.

But this treasure here is a surprisingly good little triumph as the bananas explored the Delatite Arm.
This is a wonderful playground and probably best discovered by boat as each little peninsular adds so much walking to each destination.
And the treasure sits here commanding whatever it sees.
Well done BernieH and I am surprised it took so long to discover once the Eildon Geotour has bought all the hungry adventurers into the area.
Thanks again and mark down another First to Find for the bananas.
