Today we travelled from Richmond to Spring Creek with the main objective of doing some maintenance in Momorangi Bay (and hopefully) picking up a FTF in Linkwater. The weather was miserable - raining, spitting and constantly changing its mind to have a brief break but always cold and windy so we pick and chose our cache depending on the weather in the moment, sometimes not even getting out if the car for a PnG! Still fitted in a full days of caching with 46 finds - oh and yeah we did get that FTF!!
A game in process but we stuck to the fenceline and they probably didnt even see us. Quickly spotted by Mums eagle eyes and while signing we were accompaned by a friendly doggy over the fence who was trying to get through for some TLC. Thanks for the cache

Gave it a nudge but no luck, GPS had me over the fence and the guy using the trees as a golf driving range made for some fun. Next time. Cheers
Good excuse for a bike ride, thanks! Took a wee bit of searching, but cold temperatures are good for keeping muggles away.
We stopped by en route to the Maitai Valley, but there were people close by in the neighbouring property, as well as a barking dog, so we decided to carry on our way.
On our return, the rain had stopped and as we were driving right by GZ, we decided to stop and have another look. The colder temps had driven the neighbours indoors so we were able to search without the muggle factor. Even though I was pretty sure of the type of hide (and it turned out to be correct), the cache still took a bit of hunting down. The new co-ords took us to close to private property, and in the end the old co-ords took us to within 4m of the cache, (but the tree cover meant that the needle was wavering around somewhat) and StreetWalker's eagle eyes spotted the cache. TFTC.

#9854. We stopped by on our way to the Maitai Valley, but muggles in the neighbouring house made it hard to search. Troodles entered the original coords into her GPSr, and that proved to be useful later in the day. We left emptyhanded. After a walk along the Maitai Walkway, we decided to try our luck on the way home. This time there were no muggle problems, and after a lengthy search I spotted the cache. Whew! Troodles reckoned that the original coords were closer to GZ than the updated ones. TFTC.
Coordinates changed from:
S 41° 15.952 E 173° 17.498
Coordinates changed to:
S 41° 15.956 E 173° 17.491
Distance from original: 39.9 feet or 12.2 meters.
Hopefully these co-ordinates are more accurate. Always hard getting it right under trees.

I will visit GZ this morning and check the cache. I'll also check the GPS co-ordinates as one or two cachers have mentioned that they might be slightly off.
Spent way to long fixated on one area but quickly spotted when I extended my search radius.

Just about to leave Nelson, we see something in the sky and the detour was definitely worth the time.
Wonderful photos and very nice NZ-hotdogs and here we discovered "shaved ice" (unknown in our country).
Good winds to all of you.

Great sight here with the kites flying. Took quite a while to spot, but found in the end. SL TFTC
Day Two: On holiday with tmann421 exploring the top of the South Island. Lots of geocaches found and adventures had in the collection of many a cache. Thanks to all the CO's for making this a thoroughly enjoyable trip.
This one took a bit of searching. Not sure if I was distracted by the kites or it was the heat of the day, but sure was a good feeling to hear tmann call out 'found it'.

After dropping off the relocation rental at the airport I started the walk back to Nelson hoping to find a few caches on the way. By the day was over I had walked over 20 km including a walk up to the Centre of NZ.
I walked through the park on my way to the Centre of NZ and was quickly able to spot the cache even though the coords were a little off.

After extending the search area around the GZ, it was MUEZ who spotted the well hidden container. / TFTC!
The third attempt and at last some quality time could be spent as the park was empty. For those with good GPS units, broaden your search area and you'll have success, TFTC.
Merry Christmas one and all Up early this morning as usual with Flying Phoenix eager to open all the presents under the tree. We had to wait for his older sisters to wake up so I decided to distract him with a few caches. I was also needing to find 3 caches today to keep on track for a Wellington based challenge. This was the first one we attempted. I thought I had an idea of how it would be hidden and was a bit wary as this type I find tricky. We were fixated on a couple of features for a while before broadening the search by just a few metres and looking in the right direction and there was the cache. V cool. TFTC, Biggles.
I could hardly sleep the night before Christmas but in the morning Dad (Biggles) made me come out for a few caches early in the morning so I had to wait even longer to open my presents. I did like finding these caches though. When Dad finally pointed to this one I was amazed to see where it was. Thanks, Flying Phoenix.
Found this one with integersmirk at lunch time today. It was looking like our flight might be a very long one when we realised we were searching for a micro in here. However after a few minutes I heard the sounds that told me the cache had been found. A tricky one.
Thanks tonyflew for the cache.

Ok so hands up first of all - this is my second attempt at this one. First attempt I must have spent 20 minutes and then forgot to log a DNF (oops!!). This time decided to have a quick detour on the way into work this morning and would you believe it, cache suddenly spotted without any problem!! And I know for a fact I looked there last time!! Still, that's geocaching.....all good fun. Thanks team tonyflew!!!
A visit to Dunedin this weekend reminded me of the AVENT-ure Challenge so I thought I should go for it this year. Today is the 1st and already the worst part of the 31 days of August loom. I leave work in the pouring rain not keen on searching for a cache especially in the work shoes! I remember that I seem to remember the year it was published Avent started on the 2nd so full of hope I do a quick Google search which suggests that this year it started yesterday - just as well I found one then! Oh well I decide the best option considering the rain, the shoes and the time was this one - good choice too. Advent/angels/fly sort of fit. TFTC #6379
Third time lucky with finding this one. Miss N and I had look for this twice before but it took a chance glance in the right direction to spot the cache and have one of those "how did we never spot that before?" moments!
What a surprise, here I was practicing my golf at Neale Park when I came across this interesting container! What could it be, ahhh a cache to be logged. That's one for the birds. TFTC
It would have been excellent for kite-flying when I was down here this morning. - - - Lots of air rushing past like it had some place it had to be. Did a bit of wandering about - - - looking about - - - and suddenly, there it was. TFTC .
We had to abort before because of muggles. Not tonight though. Thank you Tonyflew for placing this cache.
This was found on a return visit when the first one had to be aborted due to muggles and dogs. Tonight we had a clear run. Thank you tonyflew and junior.
As with others, this location brought back memories of multiple visits. I did wonder if that was going to be the case again but luckily I spotted it on about the third pass.
Nice hide.

This made it three out of three for SoBad today - lucky Mrs is too nice to fly off the handle.
Actually she was happy to have a clean run for the caching circuit today. Most of the closest from home smiied. And a much easier find than the previous one here as others have commented. Good coordinates helped.
Thanks.

Had to search for this cache, but it wasn't long before it was in our hands
Good one
Thank you for the cache

A cracker day to fly a plane, not much cop for a kite today.
Thanks Tony for the cache.
Thanks Tony for the cache.
Nice easy find after work. Much more user friendly than the last cache in here! Good one, thanks.
FTF The email came through last night as I was getting ready for bed but having had a glass of wine thought I'd better wait till morning. A lot easier to find than the previous cache that was here. TFTC
