Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we had been staying in Christchurch but have now moved inland towards Oxford we needed to get three caches today to help towards a Challenge we are walking on this was the third of three, so all good, the lid does come off reasonably easily, just a case of working it up slowly while going all the way round & then some this was an easy find, log-book signed & cache returned as found were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,472 for us!
Got it. Thanks for placing this cache. Required some gymnastics to get it open - bring leverage.
Another out and about trip, collected on the way by. I collected quite a few of these on one of my trips down to see the parents over christmas one year, so it was nice to collect another! All good in the cache.
TFTC TheWanglers and Team_Gaters, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4207

Had thought there might be an extended search here but one of the Doug’s stood out more than the others and this turned out to be just the ticket to finding this cache. TFTC

Time to cache out the Oxford area. Had a nice drive around some quiet roads. There are some nice looking life sentence blocks if that's your thing.
Loping this way home.

Time to visit Oxford and its environs locating and signing off caches.
The lid was a tad hard to get off.
Cheers for the cache.

Removing the lid proved a challenge but managed to get it off. Log very soggy - needs maintenence for both lid and log. TFTC!
Log book is soaking, didn’t want to open it as it felt like it would fall apart! Needs some maintenance here
Well done Liam for finding it. Needs maintenance but is close to home so will try and re is it.
Quick find here, having done a few in this series.
Visiting from Nelson for a few days of caching with Karmzjay. Today was a cruise around the wider Oxford-Ashley area.

Down from Northland for a one week trip to Christchurch to pick up some solved puzzles, challenges, unusual cache types, Jasmer grid fillers, as well as a few others in passing.
A nice quick find here of an interesting old container that has unfortunately started to rust and become difficult to open. TFTC

Geocaching with woolwood9.We soon had the container found. SL: **tm/ww NZ***Thanks for putting this cache out for us to visit, we enjoyed the drive / walk around!*
Our last day before we head home so headed out in the car to grab anything we came across. We had 29 finds and 2 dnf's so not too bad a day. Most of our finds were nice and quick and caches need no attention. Anything extra I will detail below. Thanks to all CO's for their caches.
TB dropped off.
NB: TB is a laminated copy so original does not go missing

According the weather forecast the rain should have stopped by now - we cannot see much anymore and we are wet just leaving the car and going 10 metres to GZ. Thus, we decided this is our last cache for today. Heading home now for a cuppa and some treats.
What, who put that one over there? After checking the obvious it was time to check outwards. Cheers
We all recognised this tin and had used the ingredient. Signed the log Girl Power which was made up of Busy Paws, Coconuts3, Jude_E and lytteltonwitch. Thanks for this cache TheWanglers and Team Gaters
This was one of the newer tins methinks. I had one if these not that long ago. Thanks for the cache, TW and TG. I found this with busy paws, lytteltonwitch and coconuts3.
Great container, all 4 ladies recognised it from our domestic histories! Signed girl power. TFTH
Cache was a reasonably quick find by Girl Power team of Busy Paws, Coconuts3, Jude_E and lytteltonwitch.
15.40: It's a little about the numbers, too: Our number Three-Four-Zero-Zero! On the way from Okuku Pass to Oxford. Our Tinker No. 5 and the only one which was not magnetically mounted. Would have been difficult in this place.
Weather: overcast, drizzle again, 13°C;
Wheelchair: on the road only, close enough to watch;
State: all good so far, but box rusting.
Thank you!

#6242. I decided to drive north today to visit Waikari to do the old cache near the Moa hunter rock art to fill another hole in the NZ Jasmer Challenge. While driving back I noticed my GPS was no longer functioning. I had dropped it in mud earlier in the day and washed it off at the Waikari rest rooms. But clearly the GPS is no longer waterproof as the screen was now full of moisture and the GPS was not picking up any signals. So changed over to my smartphone app and used this get me to Glentui. I had to search blind for the old letterbox cache as I had a non-functioning GPS and the mobile had run out of juice soon after arriving. Amazingly I managed to find the old cache with just the hint as my guide.
I sat in the car thinking my caching day was now over but changed the batteries in my GPS as one last option. Amazingly after three attempts at starting up the GPS picked up a signal again and displayed the map. But the screen just had a tiny clear patch in the centre. So had to virtually drive down the road on the GPS map to find caches from this point. Then headed off to find it in reality. Was very pleased to find this cache with the tools in such a poor working state. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks TheWanglers for hiding it here.

We were in Christchurch for a few days to help one of my sisters celebrate a significant birthday. With the celebrations over we were heading for home with the plan of finding a few caches along the way.
Neither of us have been along this road before, so it was great to be able to have a bit of time to explore the area courtesy of the cache owners who have placed caches that enable us to stop and have a look around.
Gk found this one and soon had signed the log and returned it as he had found it. The container is rusty and very wet but the log was okay and quite useable. I would have loved to have found this series before the tins rusted, as they hold loads of memories for us.
Thank you for placing the cache and of course thank you for the smilie.

Heading home after an awesome 3 days hiking the mt Thomas tracks staying at bobs biv and pinchgut hut would be rude not to grab a few p&g's after all that walking.
Always helps if your on the right side of the road...tftc

Quick easy find on our way home from lunch in Oxford and a run around at the Ashley Gorge reserve. Thanks for placing and maintaining the cache.
Jess.daphne and I decided to go on another caching mission in order to get 50 caches to get the final Hidden Creature souvenir. I also wanted to take my new car on her maiden caching mission. We all had a fantastic day in the sunshine and howling wind, getting dusty and windswept; team Jeje riding in Gigi. Sorry for the generic logs but TFTC.
Found today with injeanious, we got around 50 caches today in order to find all of the hidden creatures. We signed the logs as JeJe to save time and space. Tftc!
#15190. We'd found so many in the series that we were surprised our GPSr's weren't pointing to a usual TT-type hide. Quick find once we got to GZ. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker on a jaunt to Oxford, Ashley Gorge and Glentui, mopping up a few caches in the area.
We were surprised at where this was hidden, but given the cache's size, nowhere else would be suitable. TFTC.

Found the tin but couldn't open it to sign the log - it is very rusty and needs maintenance. TFTC
Visiting from Brisbane with Slow Puncture for the Oamaru Geofest, and we're seeing all the wonderful sights the South Island has to offer as we travel along. Day 5: An early start as we ventured out of Christchurch in a big loop hunting challenges, solved GeoArt, and older caches. We were stunned by the beautiful views of the Alps across the farmland of Canterbury Plains.
Thanks for the hunt **TheWanglers and Team_Gaters**, this find makes #4401. Discover our TB

Tuesday. Slow Puncture has teamed up with Orange Crew to make a Moreton Bay assault on the Oamaru Geofest. Day Five saw us take a large loop out from Christchurch, West towards the snow-capped mountains, before returning and doing some urban caching within Christchurch itself.
This was the 57th of 71 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***TheWanglers***, for showing us this place.

After climbing up Mt Thomas, and on the way home, I told hubby we had to detour this way - I'd tried before to find this cache - but the time I was here, there was a farmer in his paddock right at GZ - so I just left it for another time. Now it was my only cache within a 5 or so km radius of this spot ! So stuck out a bit like a sore thumb on my map!!
We made the find nice and quick after reading the hint - definitely wasn't where I would have expected to find it!!
And managed to open it thanks to the carribeaner clip on my GPS - it's a bit rusted over!
TFTC!!

20 Geocaches in One Day. My biggest day caching ever. I wanted a good leg-stretch so I climbed Mt Thomas up the summit track and came down the Wooded Gully track, finding pretty much every cache along the way. Cool breeze. Nice views from the top through patchy cloud. Lovely bush on the way down. Found a few more on the drive home to make up 20. Cheers to every cache owner for placing and maintaining these.
Nice old container. Bit rusty.

A quick find, though not where I was expecting! Cheers.
Ahh a cooler day for caching today, especially in the shade of the bush.
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

A quick easy find down memory lane, this one with special significance. The container is relatively recent, with the name Cadbury Schweppes Hudson, but prior to that it was Cadbury Fry Hudson, and earlier still before the purchase by Cadburys it was R. Hudson and Co., R. Hudson being Mr W.E.K.A.'s great-grandfather. Naturally a favourite from us. TFTC
After taking TEF Jnr MKI out for his first night camping at the Mt Thomas Conservation area we decided to grab a few caches on our way home. The little guy is a big fan of cocoa but he'd never seen a tin like this. It didn't take him long to track down the cache. We signed the log on 30 December 2015 at 11:42:00.
On a bit of a clean up mission, picking up some horses we missed a couple of days ago. The Chief has his eye on a challenge cache and this cache was on the way. TFTC
At this point I started wondering if the CO raided a museum or something? Admittedly though I have recently discovered some spices at a friend's place that would pass for museum items - still in use!! TFTC!!
