Can’t say I fancied crashing about in the bush but I made it eventually! Lots of fresh roo trails to follow along the way. Log found and signed. Thanks for the cache

Given this is a 2014 hide, and the number of times I’ve visited Bunbury since then, it’s embarrassing that I haven’t stopped here sooner. There seemed to be some bush navigation required, at least for me there was. A quick find at the obvious big tree. Thanks.

Teamed up with ullyssia to look for caches in this park this afternoon. It was quite a long walk with a fair bit of bush bashing and a few steep hills, but it was fun. Most caches were found fairly quickly. Managed to get out of there before nightfall! Thank you for the cache baffle.

This cache stood out as a cache to look for today. I was not sure of how to access GZ. I arrived at a familiar parking spot and headed of into the bush. A path I had in my mind was clearly not there. But I found another that looked promising, until it turned away.
The path turned again and started to loop around. As the distance was now opening up I had to accept I needed to go head first into the bush. I spied a gap the may one day have been a track. I was able to weave my way through the bush and avoid most of the thickest parts.
At GZ I found the cache on the ground. After signing the log I returned it to where the description would have me believe it lives.
I thoroughly enjoyable walk on a nice cool day.

Barnzy12 and I had a huge plan today starting bright and early with a 515am meet up at Cockburn gateways shopping centre to drive down to Busselton together for the Canada Day event on the oceans edge there at the iconic Busselton jetty.

We arrived at the event just in time to see the sun rise. An interesting side note as we drove to the event we noticed an information side near dalyellup that mentioned the temperature as a brisk 0 degrees!!

We had a great chat and then moved on to the Canada Day event in Bunbury where we had a lovely hot drink and met up with the Bunbury regulars there having a good old chat before we agreed to part ways and Barnzy12 and I went caching around the suburbs of greater Bunbury before collecting a few more caches on the way home.

Good caching weekend overall with 20 plus finds and 2 events attended. Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

Cravo10 and I had a huge plan today starting bright and early with a 515am meet up at Cockburn gateways shopping centre to drive down to Busselton together for the Canada Day event on the oceans edge there at the iconic Busselton jetty.

We arrived at the event just in time to see the sun rise which I took a lovely panorama of as others took in the nice views. An interesting side note as we drove to the event we noticed an information side near dalyellup that mentioned the temperature as a brick 0degrees!!

We had a great chat and then moved on to the Canada Day event in Bunbury where we had a lovely hot drink and met up with the Bunbury regulars there having a good old chat before we agreed to part ways and Cravo and I went caching around the suburbs of greater Bunbury before collecting a few more caches on the way home.

Good caching weekend overall with 20 plus finds and 3 events attended between Busselton and Armadale. Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

Thanks for the climb Baffle. We were wondering by the name of the cache if we would need to climb a tree or a hill. Either way we were up for it. Nice view from up here thanks for sharing this with us.

Thanks to all the CO's for their great work in placing and maintaining these caches.

A day out caching in the southern end of Bunbury suburbia. A mix of urban and bush caches that chewed out a few kilometres on foot today. Some serious bush bashing and cross country to get to this one. No chance of this one being muggled!!!

12-Sep-15
After having found another nearby cache, got a phone call announcing that iluvtrekking had just pulled up outside the reserve. We waited for them to join us and quickly spotted a goat track leading towards gz. Not too difficult to negotiate our way through the scrub and found the container high and dry. Thanks baffle.

Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 22.875 E 115° 37.224

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 22.875 E 115° 37.220

Distance from original: 20.4 feet or 6.2 meters.
I had the opportunity to fine tune the coordinates today. The trees are still a problem. If anyone can suggest more accurate coords please let me know.

I am very happy to report that geobuddy Mark has not been converted to being a full-blown muggle - not yet anyway. He has been off the radar lately though, with caching at the bottom of his priority list, so I was more than happy to agree to a day of caching down Bunbury way when he suggested it.

Don't know why, but I was anticipating a different kind of climb. Knowing the CO, this one made more sense. Once again, I think we found the most difficult line of approach when getting to gz, but we got there in the end. Picked up a couple of hitchhikers too (dratted roo ticks - wish they didn't like me so much!!), but was worth it nonetheless.

I had a monkey trackable that I was hoping to drop off here, but he wouldn't fit inside the cache. Will now have to find somewhere else for him to hang out. Thanks for the cache and the exercise baffle

The climb up wasnt to dramatic but after walking to gz and thinking this wasnt right we took the search to another spot and found it there approximately 18m from our original gz... Time to make the trip back down... TFTC Smile

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 22.875 E 115° 37.224

Distance from original: 46.1 feet or 14.1 meters.
I am switching to OOH YEH's coords until I can get down there and recheck.

i decided on another trip down bunbury so Skippy 46 and Kristybelle came along as well. It was quite a warm day and with most caches that we were looking for in the bush we only managed 15 finds but we managed to clear up a couple of DNFS from last week and there was no DNFS today.
Getting to the cache wasnt as bad as i thought it would be but once at GZ we couldnt find the cache. Expanded my search after reading the hint and then the cache was quickly found. I found the co-ords to be 18 metresout and took a reading and this is what i got. S33 22.875 E115 37.224. TFTC baffle

Was a bit of a climb for me, I'm so unfit, with OOH YEH and kristybelle powering up all I could hear was....I'm only 1m away and where is it?
I didn't have any breathe left to yell out...Look in the big tree.
But kristybelle remembered and I could hear her telling OOH yeh which tree to go too.
I was so happy it was there as it meant I could now head down the hill and back to the air cond car.

Woohoo !!! First To Find !!!!

This is my first FTF cache. Can't believe it hadn't been found after almost 2 days.

Was in the area working so took the chance that it was still a blank log book.

Correct in saying you are ducking and weaving your way through the trees up to the cache .

Thanx baffle
