Unfortunately we have moved out of the area and are unable to maintain this GC. Who knows; something Tiny might pop up somewhere else in NZ...
It’s a beauty. Tricky little hide nicely done. Nice to be down by the lake. Thanks.
Absolutely brilliant.....Favourite Point for sure.
Doubt I would have located this on my own....but nette had her geosenses on high alert.
Thanks for the surprise element .
Added tiny piece of paper as a temporary measure...

PLEASE NOTE - Logbook is missing; I will leave the GC active but may not be able to replace logbook until June. Feel free to take a photo facing something interesting on the lake like a duck or a rower or even just a wave
Decided we would check this one out on our way home. Looks like a pretty nice trail. Didnt take long to work out what we were looking for. Husband comes up with it. As I proceeded to remove the log it was like slow motion as the log sheet drop down through the gap and into the lake. OMG! We looked for a while to see if it floated and see if we could retrieve it but no such luck. My apologies to the CO. Did take a pic of the cache if needed. Tftc
Found on a belated Xmas break with extended family. Waka ama sprint champs on at lake course, so searched with an eye out for spectators and cyclists. Bit of a search, then triumphantly found by a very surprised and delighted Mother. Tftc!
#8953. I had been up in Auckland for the past week visiting family. Now heading back south again to Wellington but will divert via Tauranga and Rotorua to pick up a few geocaches. I haven't been down to Lake Karapiro for some time and decided to find some of the caches in this area. There was a parking option for this one so parked at the track end and walked down to the lake. What a great walkway. I assume it works on a hydro lake as the lake levels can be controlled stopping the walkway getting flooded. Wandered up and down, read the past few logs then noticed something that needed closer inspection. Nicely done cache. My first ever geocache was one of these so that always helps with finding them. Thanks BloosBoy and CrusaderWoman for hiding it here. Favourite for the nice setting and cleverly hidden cache.
A bit of a trip away to get out the Waikato, I decided to target some Eastern GeoTour caches. This trip ended up being 1294kms over the two days, and a good run for the car. Day 2
Nice to finally tick this one off. I'd been here twice before with no joy. I had recently worked on a multi with the same style of waypoint hide, so this was quickly noticed... the last two times I think I was walking around with my eyes closed, as this sort of thing would get my attention. Well played!
TFTC BloosBoy, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 3 find(s) of 3 today, making this find #2232

Day 1 of our Cambridge visit.
Out cycling this trail and finding some caches.
A nice hide here. Worth a fave.
An enjoyable ride. Thanks for bringing us out here.

Below the triple trees, nice walk and not too hard if you know what your looking for
Quick park and grab on our way north for the day not to sure where we are going but we will get there sooner or later. Great cache FP from us this morning.

The end of the container appears to be missing, so the logbook was left behind. We tried to repair and replace logbook, but CO needs to check it. Favorite for nice walk and container craftmanship.
Tuesday 3rd March.
## Problem with container has been reported. 31/03/2020
---Someone has dropped part of this and the logbook in the lake. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later but it would have been nice to have been told this by whoever did it.Never mind. I will replace the broken/lost bit when I can buy another but with all the Covid19 stuff going on it may be a while. I will re-enable when it's all up and running again. ##

Had previously tried to find this cache but there have been too many muggles around watching the rowing. Thankfully today we wandered down when there were only a couple of races left for the day so made a quick find. Gets a fav point from us. TFTC
Woohoo found it. On a nice bike ride today on the cycle way and stopped for a couple of caches. I expected it to take a while as I usually find a D2.5 difficult but I’ve seen this type before and it was very quick! Deserves a favourite point for the location - TFTC
9.20am. Parked at the end and walked down. Spotted it as soon as I arrived.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Great hide. Very cool. Had us stumped in the beginning but we found it eventually.
This morning was a beautiful and peaceful time to go caching at this Lake.
The odd one out was soon spotted as coords got me within 4m.
There were several teams out practicing at 8am but they never came close and no other walkers passed by.
TNLNSL, Thanks BloosBoy & CrusaderWoman

#824- On a Mission with Taschynz to get as many caches as we can in the Karapiro Cambridge area. This was stop number 4. This was a great one, very cool boardwalk and cleverly hidden cache. TFTC
Found it on a day hunting with katbowersnz, this one was tricky but awesome views. Very clever and took a while to find. Thanks!
Wow I found this.much faster than I expected to and I swear it was a fluke grab. Nice sneaky hide made all the more difficult by the Secondary School champs going on and lots of people walking past.
Deserves a Fav for the potential frustration factor. Well done.

Over in the area for a quick visit so took the opportunity to catch a few smileys as well. It is indeed an interesting placement and we were well pleased to find it. Earns a fav from us. We were entertained by a swan family with 4 cygnets while we looked as well. Beautiful. Cache is all good. TFTC
What started out as an overcast day was now boiling hot and the sun was shining. We appreciated the part shade at GZ to look for this one. A great one for showing my 7yo niece how tricky and camouflaged caches can be. Although i had a fair idea what we were looking for, this one had us going awhile. We missed it on the first few passes but then spotted something worth investigating a little harder and the cache was in hand. A very nice concealment and placement, worthy of another fav point. TFTC!
A favourite point from us! Cool cache, my youngest and I are down from Auckland to watch our eldest row so though we’d do a few caches in between races.
Read people’s comments as we approached and certainly weren’t disappointed, great hide, great camp, great effort! TFTC!

Genius. Had me going for a while knew generally what to look for but that goes the extra TFTC
Spent a long time here trying to find this one. We were just about to give up when I spotted it. It then took us just as long to try and get the log book out! Beautiful spot here
Doing some geocaching on the way back to Tauranga with lucypear, we stopped and did this one. We were very much ready to give up with a last minute boost of determination, lucypear made the find!
Photo proof sent. Finding was the easy part. First I couldn't get it open, then I couldn't get the log out. Very peaceful out here today. Fav for me. TFTC
Had a gut feeling and went straight to it.Nicely done.Visiting from the Far North and staying nearby .Tftc.
Suns out and its a great relaxing walk along the lakes edge...arrived at GZ all quiet and a peaceful here...uninterrupted time to search ..the well crafted cache was soon in hand and the log signed..thanks for the great placement ...really enjoy this type of cache..well done
Very well crafted cache!. Even though i was expecting something like this it still took me a few minutes to spot. Thanks for the placement crusaderwoman and Bloosboy
Narrowed down the options and examined the final option to locate this cunning cache. Good views of the lake too. Tftc
This was a classic nearly had me beat it just took time to narrow it down fab views of the lake TFTC
Ha ha... had us going for a while... and then we started to 'think' about it... reminds me of the Sesame Street song... 'which of these things is not like the other'. Great view and would never have come here if not for this cache for thanks
Great spot and view of the area. Had us going for a while but soon cracked it. A favourite.

Found on the first day of the new year. Good work on the GC design and placement. TFTC.
Wow! This one goes into my most useless hint collection.
No idea where it might be. An actual helpful hint might be appreciated.
The travelling fox is disappointed =u_u=

I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
I was staying down this way seeing one of my grandsons competing in the Dragonboat National Champs yesterday.
Cheers for the cache.

2790 Passing so stopped to collect. Nice evening walk along the boardwalk. Find easily made. Log is full so I signed where one has disappeared in 2015.
A beautiful day for a stroll by the water and, even better, a cache too. Was surprised/lucky to make a nice quick find. Cache all good. Thanks for the hide.
Very clever camo. Thankfully nr agogo spotted this quickly as the next rain shower was on the way . Nice Cycle from Cambridge on The te awa cycleway. Tftc.
Well hidden - fantastic hide! Somehow Amy had this one within the minute! Tftc!!
Finally got around searching for these caching without being up for a rowing regatta. Great to have a few smileys in this area. TFTC
Finished our walk near by and decided to pick up a few caches on the way home.
A few rowers out training today.
Didn't take long to find this one, although it is a nicely constructed cache.
Thanks for setting it up

Great spot for a cache.can enjoy the rowing while listening to the birds in the nearby trees. Glad a noticed something a little different as GPS wouldn't let me within 10m so was a little worried. Thanks for the awesome hide. Fav point from us
This was a cool cache! parked at the top of the hill, and wandered down the walkway to this cache. So cool how the walkway is built over the lake here! I'm always amazed at the effort that goes into making a cache like this one! It's my third find like this one. I found it, had a bit of a giggle, and then said to my companion who was looking further along to come back, as I could see it. HE came stood beside me & had no idea what I was looking at (admittedly it was his first day caching). So I said those words of wisdom "Whats out of place?". "Oh!", was the reply after a few more moments thought. Logged signed, and we were onto our last cache for the day!
And that's enough exclamation marks from me!

We spotted this so quickly today that we are a bit embarrassed about our previous dnf.
To tell the truth I did not find it, but the peoples I was with did. It did take them 5 goes to find it, plus reading all the clues that were available. Perhaps the next one I attempt will be a bit easier so that I don't get put off. Also might wait for cooler weather.
The fifth time lucky. New to this game so was looking for holes in trees. Way off course.
Found this after a couple attempts. This one really had us confused, wasn't where we initially thought. A good think about what looked out of place and bingo I had it. Glad to be able to tick this one off.
quickly spotted, well constructed, hardest part was putting the log back in
Decided to take my oldest on an over night caching trip to Raglan. A great couple of days and a whole bunch of new smileys. This was a goody, spotted it fairly quickly but probably our second favourite find of the day. Good Work Bloosboy TFTC
Walked straight up to this one and guessed correctly. Quickiest find of the day. Very cool cache thanks for the effort gone into it. Awesome walkway here with great view tftc
Cache Nr. 3812
Cool cache. It didn't take us too long to spot the hiding spot.
Gets a fave from me.
Thanks for the tricky cache Quiri

This one deserves a lot more favourite points than it has received.
Quite chuffed to say I found it quite quickly on my first attempt. Wasn't sure what I was looking for and then thought, where would I put it?, and that's when I found it.
Great cache, gets a fave from me.
Thanks BloosBoy

Out for a wander along the side of the lake and checked GC - all present and correct, warm & dry and eagerly awaiting the next geocacher...
No luck here. Lots of rowing skiffs on the water. We did not realize so many rowing eights existed in NZ.
Enjoyed the cycle track and stopped to find this on the way back but no luck today. There has recently been a fallen tree cleared from the boardwalk so the cache may have been disturbed!!! Great views of the water skiing today.
That's a great hide. Stunning spot and nicely hidden. Gets a favourite. Well done for the effort of the hide. Tftc
Well, we looked and looked without results until warfi finally spotted the oddity we were hunting for. Great spot, and clever hide, well done BloosBoy

A lovely (if cold) day in Cambridge- ideal for an afternoon's caching while on a short visit from the South Island.
Well this took longer than we thought it should. GPS was a little iffy- so we wandered up and down for a bit. Then I was just standing , staring, thinking- I suddenly spotted the 'something' I was looking for. Thanks- good one.

Out and about enjoying the sunshine, great hide here located after a sweep of GZ TFTC.

Parked safely straight above the cache and scrambled down to the cache, no luck...... went back up the bank to the van and parked down the road so that Mrs Geckoh could help me look..... took the gumboots and even spent time looking underneath.... no luck....... then Mrs Geckoh called out the words I had been waiting to hear....... "I FOUND IT".
Awesome hide, had me stumped, but not the missus.....

I went down to drop some TBs and replace the logbook. No room for TBs so replaced logbook anyway. All good for the next batch of lucky geocachers
This is a very good hide. I have seen a couple of hides like it but few as well constructed and well executed as this one. It took a minute or two to spot and needed some coaxing before I could access the log-which is full and could do with replacing.
