I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, scruffyblake, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.

The cache owner needs to:
* Investigate the situation and either restore the cache, or address any other issues, such as correcting the D/T rating if necessary.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done, and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.

Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary, or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this, that is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.

Alternatively:

* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.

In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by scruffyblake and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*

The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is there, and in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.

Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

Cache is missing, and needs some maintenance. If it is in the blackberry, will need a work party to rediscover. Hopefully a new cache protector can be easily sourced, the series is awesome with their themed containers. Thanks scruffyblake

18-Jun-21
The likely spots were all empty and brambles made I difficult to dig around the base of the tree in case the cache had fallen on the ground.

14-Jun-21
Unfortunately no luck here today. Looked for quite a while on various angles to no avail. Was very overgrown with blackberry, so there's a chance the cache is here just not in a spot you can get look without a set of shears and good gloves. Will need some maintenance, either with a trim or a new container. Thanks anyway scruffyblake.

I came out to Hall with the intention of finishing off the Petrov Affair adventure lab. When looking into the caches of the area, I found the Tralee Trails series that all seemed to be well favourited, and Spot the Cache, which seemed intriguing. I had a great day out, finding nine of the eleven caches I came out for. Thanks to all the cache owners for the fantastic caches!

12/20 Geocaching Birthday Bash

After I found two caches of this series I thought I'd get some more. I have never realised this dilapidated wood/grassland was here. There were plenty of roo and wombat scats around as well as Heliapidae (Rain moth) casings. They must have emerged during the rains in the last three days.

I had tried to go for this cache when I first drove into Hume, but approached it from the wrong side (Hume weighbridge) and was thwarted by the fence and lots of signs telling me that I was video surveilled. Only plus was that I saw a Grey Butcherbird.
Coming from the south after getting two other caches of the series was much easier and I really enjoyed the walk.

Fantastic cache. Love it.

TFTC

As it's the geocaching birthday weekend with GPS technology turned on to the public 20 years ago today and the first cache hidden 20 years ago tomorrow, I thought I should find a cache today and tomorrow.
After I found a cache in Phillip, I decided I should really do 20 caches over the weekend, 10 today and 10 tomorrow. By the time I got home today I had logged 15, plus 3 DNFs

Trying to make a crack on the Canberra Suburb challenge.

I was aiming initially to grab the cache at the Homestead, but the entrance was being guarded by tradies having a lunchbreak. Probably busy all day moving cars around after the storm. I moved on to this one.

I couldn't find a 'proper' way in, so I jumped a fence and made my way to GZ.

Nice container. TFTC

17-Jun-19
I have to say I really enjoyed this series. Each container was special in its own way (though a couple were missing other than a bison).

I had to come to Hume to drop off something at the Post Express point and had over an hour to kill, which worked out just perfectly.

Some of these were harder than others to get to, involving climbing fences that all look rather newish.

Day Fourteen in Queanbeyan.
BettyBoo3747 and I had a bit of a run down the Old Cooma Road in the rain, and when it eased a windy trip back through the suburbs.
A few fences to jump to get to GZ, but a very cute cache once we arrived.
Thanks, Robmc.

#15831. Day 14 of our 2 weeks holiday in the ACT and surrounds. We are staying at Carwoola.

We persevered with Plan A for the morning even though the heavens had opened during the night and it was still pouring when we left home. We gathered up most of the ones along Old Cooma Road although there were rivers running through all the road works along this section. After our pretty and scenic drive through the countryside we wended our way home tortuously through the suburbs collecting some caches for the Mapping Challenge. Collected 42 smilies for the day.

A favourite point for the innovative container. Nice to see something other than a bison or a vial around the area. It brought a smile to my face.

Thanks scruffyblake

I have found this cache during the Clear Water Mega or in the weeks leading up to the Mega that was held I Queanbyean, New South Wales during the Easter Long Weekend of 2019. Due to the very large volume of caches and very long hours this is he first chance that I have had to Log all my finds,

This Mega Event will go down as one of the best mega events ever. I went on several Geocaching Tours, Swapped over 200 Pathtags, Bought Some Geocoins, Made some New Friends, Cached with Old Friends. During the Clear Water Mega I managed to get 8 FTF (as of 2359 on the 20/4/19. I am hoping to get more FTFs in the next few days. I’m sad to see the Mega ending but I’m excited for my next adventure in Hawaii for a few weeks after the mega ends. . Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with over 200 finds in the last few weeks it would be too hard to write a different one for each cache. A very big thank you to all the CO’s for your caches. I also donated 25 pathtags to the Girl Guides to thank them for their hard work. Had fun being the Clear Water Yowie for over 7 hours on the 19th April also.

My name will not appear in the All7 caches as I helped her put out hundreds of her caches. All other logs have been signed DSD or Darksidedan or Darkside depending on the size of the cache.

I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it

Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN

My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

***** I am currently writing very detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author". This Badge challenges geocachers to write logs with an average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the 20th of April 2019 my average is 99 words per log, which seems close to the 100 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average up. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After more than 5000 aches (which includes all cache finds up and including today I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task very soon. Progress has been better than anticipated.

Took our time to carefully get over her after having had that close encounter with the sleeping snake just at the last one.

What a great and lucky afternoon Dino and I had. We had planned to do the Tralee Trail today as we had an inspection in the motor vehicle station. They had a new service so did the regio right there, wow great safes an extra teip. We did some caches before during and after found all cache which were really well done and also found a snake right at the Snail cache! Which was cool. On the last one we spotted an Echidna! And when we were just done with all that, pops up a new cache just around the corner from where we were and we got the FTF. Definitely a horseshoe... today Big Grin

Thank you scruffyblake for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

A gentle walk up from Slowly; looked for ways in from the weighbridge but found it easier to come in through the gate. Could have been one of those hands in dark places search but it was obvious once I was at GZ. Slippery log, so bring a felt tip pen, my ballpoint was near useless.

I tried to access this one from behind the weighbridge, but 3 blokes were having a pow wow in direct line of sight of where the cacher's track goes under the fence. Went up the road to the conveniently placed gates and walked through unhindered to find 2 caches. Once again, love your cache guardian and another favourite point from me. OH ... beware the wicked blackberry thorns around this tree.

Ok ... I had a middle of the day appointment to donate blood (school holidays so not at work Smile and had figured while I was down this way I might see if I could find a heap of caches so I was closer to getting that last hidden creatures souvenir, so ... after donating blood, and staying for my milkshake and coffee, I headed south, stopping at a few caches along the way.
Then I stopped at the end of Mugga Lane for a few more, then decided to park and find a few just a bit further down the road ... by which time it had somehow got dark. Then I decided to grab the others down that road and head down that way, along the highway, to do what I could of some of the trails around Richardson or somewhere that I had originally planned to do, but I saw a spot to park just around the corner as I turned on to the highway, and decided to do a couple of the Tralee trail caches first ... and ended up looking for them all - wandering around in the frost and enjoying myself - lol
Then I decided it was probably time I went home and had some (rather late) dinner, but as I was driving North I decided to make a detour to grab a couple caches I wanted to get up in Watson, and ended up looking for a few there ... ending the evening with not finding one (3rd strike for the day - I guess I am out?) at about Midnight ... then I went home and had a couple of pies for (very late!) dinner Smile
TFTC - Heading back over here from Digger (missing?) I saw 2 diggers - first a Wombat ran across in front of me along a ditch I was about to cross, and vanished into a drain pipe that didn't look any bigger than the wombat was, then another wombat decided to run across the road right when I was coming one way on the other side, and a car was coming the other way along the road... luckily for all concerned it decided to wait until the car had actually passed - which gave me time to grab my phone out of my pocket and take a photo. ..
Then it was a simple matter of in through the hole in the fence and a wander among the trees for a quick find, and a nice warm place to stand and sign (well, warm compared to the frosty ground at the last few caches Smile

I had five minutes to spare before geokid finished his drumming lesson. After successfully finding a host of other caches in this series tonight, I thought I'd squeeze in one more. I felt less exposed hunting for this one under the cover of darkness so I parked behind the weigh station and went bush. Then suddenly a truck comes through the weigh station while I was up a tree. Yikes! It soon left and I was able to find the cache and return to my car and back in time to collect geokid.

A fabulous night! Really enjoy this series of geocaches. Can't wait for next week to finish it off. Only two left although it sounds like one is missing.

Thanks heaps scruffyblake!

Ewww I hate magpies Sad
Sorry! But they traumatised me back in the day when I used to ride my bike to school!
There was one year where I got absolutely killed by them almost every single day!
Was quite a scary experience for only a young lad trying to get to school. And have been pretty scared of them ever since!

Luckily today however, no real magpies, phew.....
I jumped the fence from the nearby road as it was only about 30 metres away and I couldn't be bothered looking for the gate!

A quick find here, thanks for the cache scruffyblake

### Easter trip 2018 ###

----------

We've planed a trip to Jindabyne this year.
To get there, we took the inland route via Canberra where we've stayed for one night. We've then continued on to Jindabyne and have stopped at many interesting locations on the way there.
We've walkes up to the summit of
Mt Kosciusko on Easter Saturday. We've taken the main range walk up to the summit of 26km total distance. Great challenging hike past the blue lake and many other little mountain lakes.
The view up there was magnificent.
Back in Jindabyne, we've walked around the lake and have visited the sculptures near the lake.
We took the coastal route for the way home back to Sydney staying in Batemans Bay for the night.
We've stopped at many interesting locations and have visited some caches along the way as well
Thank you to all the owners for showing us the places

We were determined to finish off our Canberra Mapping Challenge today and this ticked the Hume box. Not sure of the best way in to this one/series, as we encountered fences every which way we approached. But a quick hop of the fence was sufficient for this cache at least. Quickly found, nice to meet Swoop [^]. Thanks scruffyblake

Having been sitting around a lot and travelling i decided to go on sunset and fins some caches. This was the first.
Love what you did for a cache. Sweet. There's a cache up at Mackay who has also done such a trail. It really does make caching just that little more enjoyable. This was found pretty quickly with finding a gap in fence the most difficult part.
