Fun cache! I should have parked in the rest stop, but didn't read anything before doing - as usual!
No longer hanging, but concealed above ground. Thanks we are getting ever closer to our 200th find.
Heute fuhren wir mit unserem CM von D. nach Te Anau, machten viele Stopps und fanden einige Caches. Dieser hier war der erste. DFDC!
I decided to stop here on an afternoon trip from Dunedin to Balclutha. There were a couple of people already here but I must have scared them off as they quickly departed. Having the place to myself, I quickly moved in to complete my mission before anybody else arrived.
Heading to Alexandra, this was the first cache after leaving Dunedin. Convenient parking and a quick find. TFTC debsnz.
I had an extended Labour Weekend down in Otago and today went for a drive out to the Otago Peninsula. After that I had a bit of time to kill before heading to the airport, so looked for a few nearby caches. A quick find here, TFTC!
Could see the cache as we approached. Decided to collect another one on the way to the airport before heading home. TFTC

On a road trip around South Island. We started from Christchurch yesterday late evening. After driving through the night we managed to pick some old caches and have a brief stop over at Omaru geofest. We ran into rosmar at some point and now we are heading for another FTF attempt together. Yet another quick find here. tftc.

Down with harisree for a weekend roadtrip to target some old caches and then ran into rosmar, so decided to team up for some more caches and an FTF. Quick find here. TFTC
After an early start this morning and then a flight from Auckland we were really looking forward to a weekend of caching in our old stomping ground.
By coincidence we caught up with some caching friends at a cache in Mosgiel so we continue our adventures in convoy.
Quick park & grab TFTC.

Our first find on the South Island on our way to invercargill. Thanks for the cache.
Keep meaning to find this as drive past a few times a year when heading south. so today was the day.
Found the cache once I crossed the busy road. Was not well covered and was an easy find. Lollies are a no-no and they got removed with the bulky swag. SL and replaced cache with more camo. TFTC
Spotted easily enough. I think the main challenge here was trying not to look dodgy actually retrieving and replacing it
Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
Today we decided on a multi-day tour, after stopping at Omarama today continues to Dunedin, scenic road we will stop on the lakes that meet
Here we are in Dunedin, waits here for historical cache us that in Italy there are no thanks for posing and maintenance
Dunedin is a special city for geocaching
And after the historic hunting the last two days we decide today for a quiet day
Greetings from Italy

Here at this place i took a short break, as i was driving to Dunedin coming from Invercargill today. As i stopped i looked out for nearby caches, and this one here was the closest, just a few meter from me. So i went for it and was quickly able to get my name im the log.

At World’s End – New Zealand – One of our dream become true.
Our plan was to stay 4 weeks in New Zealand. But this wasn’t this easy to manage at work. So we moved spontanic the plan from march to november. We informed us before about point of interessts. The list was this long so we decided to go by campervan from the north to the south to have the most mobility. We arrived after way to much hours in Auckland and started there our round trip. At first we enjoyed the area in auckland and the north. In Waitomo we were able to see and enjoy glohworms in one of the famous caves. But this area had a lot of nice hiking trails were we could discovered the Piripiri Caves, Natural Bridge and the Marokopa Falls. This was already impressive to see and still the beginning of our adventure for life. The trip went on over Okere Falls Scenic Reserve direction Rotorua. In this area we enjoyed each hour, because each corner was different. We visited the Haumurana Springs – what amazing water -, Blue Lake and Green Lake and relaxed in Kerosene Creek. We liked all the water and in our travel guide we found a hike cloth to the Huka Falls, which ofcourse we did as well. All this flowers were bloom. One oft the Highlights was Wai-O-Tapu. The weather was perfect and all this colors awesome and the geysir a nice shower. By Campercan the to tour went on direction Tongariro Alpine with a short stop at Orakei Korako and the Tongariro River Loop Track. Lu like nice hiking tours and what could be the best for her birthday? Of course the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We started early in the morning and walked approximately 9 hours over gras, stones, snow and colorful water. Now we had to leave the Heart of North New Zealand and went over Taranaki Falls to the East Coast with the goal Napier. The weather was cloudy and often raining but a small sightseeing was a must have. The last stop on the North Irland was Wellington. But it was only raining and some streets were already flooded. That’s why we change spontanic our plan and only did the First Cache of New Zealand and went by ship over the Marlboro Sound to Picton. We went over Farewell Spit to the lonely Wharariki Beach with sea lions. On the way back to the big streets we stopped at Waikoropupu Spring and Janie Sesson Shipwreck and drove untypical to Karamea. In Germany we do not have this much and public caves and that’s way we enjoyed this area! Cloth to the West Coast we took a look at the Pancake Rocks. The weather was just raining and so we could not see the Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, but we still visited them. We leaved the bad weather in the hills and enjoyed the Sun at Ship Creek, Thunder Creek, Fantail Falls and the Blue Pools. Wow they were relly blue and this clean and deep. I never saw something similar before. About Wanaka we read a lot in our travel guide and looked forward to it. There arrived we visited the Puzzling World and walked around the sea. Queenstown the next town we drove just through because at this time there was a marathon and it was really campervan unfriendly. So we used the time and drove to Milford Sound and enjoyed the hills surround us on the water. I never felt this small. After we are landed again on land the trip goes on to the Chasm and Clifden Caves and the Clifden Suspension Bridge. Wow what an adventure. At the end we visited a few cities like Bluff, Duneding, Moeraki Boulders and Christchurch were our Trip sadly ends.
At all this places we looked for nice and unique caches which shows us places which we never would had seen without. We enjoyed the nature and wildlife each day and it was really an adventure for life. At the end we drove approximately 5000 kilometeres and felt this relaxed.
Thanks to all owners for placing this caches and this much informations which we got about the particular areas. This was an adventure for life for us. Thanks for this beauty time.

Today we are heading from Dunedin to Invercargill. this was our first stop of the day. Quick pull off and cache was in hand. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc debsnz. Find # 3776
While State Highway 86 begins i am coming to the end of the wonderful central otago visit and the many cache s around this area. This was a quick pullover from the SH and a quick locating of the cache here with the traffic passing by totally unaware you are there just below them slightly. many thanks for this cache and another smiley face.
Stopped in at the GZ to find a vacated car so was all alone when I approached the GZ, was thinking of something else according to the hint and size but found the small screwtop jar kinda just thrown in down low at the spot. The logbook seemed fine and only needed a new baggy popped in. Returned cache to it's spot, GL with some cover. TFTC
86 Begins is where our Father's day jaunt around the Taieri ends...now, time for feasting! TFTC.
Nice quick find while driving up the country. Log book is damp but still usable.
Time to actually head south to our destination, this was a well protected wee cache. Cheers
Enjoying a great holiday down Otago with tmann421. After several days of cold, windy and wet weather it was great to wake this morning to a beautiful, sunny day.
A nice quick find for us here. TFTC

#2169. I have just flown south today to attend a conference in Oamaru and so have a few hours before nightfall to pick up some caches en route. These are my southernmost caches so far. Will be back this weekend to pick up more around Dunedin. This cache was very quickly found. All good here. Log nice and dry. Hard to avoid sticks in the face getting into this one. Thanks for the cache
7 year old found it in less than a minute! Very popular cache on the way to the airport.
On my way back from the airport, I stopped off here at this spot I'd previously constantly overlooked on my way past. Cars on the highway were more interested in the highway than in me, and the car that came out of the nearby property only came out after I'd signed and sealed the cache. Cheers!
The horses were interested in what we were doing but didn't give us any help. We gathered up a significant pile of rubbish from near GZ and deposited it in the nearby rubbish tin.

Was on a mission this afternoon. Had a special delivery and found this one on the way. TFTC
Took the kids a wee minute to find but each got a wee treasure. Replaced with a few extras
I came over to New Zealand to meet my son, who is staying now for more than five months on the other side of the world. Our intension is, to travel now for 4 weeks through this fantastic land and visiting a lot of fine spots on both islands.
Met in Auckland, our first trip led us to the Far North with some spectacular locations. It was a lot of driving, but we think, it was worth the result.
The second part of our travelling route led us to the south. Going via Hamilton with some fine locations, Hobbiton was an absolutely must of our "unexpected journey" . Went then to Tauranga with a hard upclimb to Mt. Maunganui, visited Rotorua to see lot of vulcanic activities, have had a lot of fun with Zorbing and Claybird shooting and drove then to Taupa, to doing Skydiving.
Here we go: Napier with it's beautiful Art Deco district and the great Aquarium was the next stop.
Final destination on the North Island was Wellington, were we visited some great places and met some friends from Germany.
After crossing Cook Strait now we will follow the east side of the southern island down to the most southern point of New Zealand.
Blenheim with its wine yards, fantastic dolphin watching in Kaikoura, the story of earthquake in Christchurch, following the famous coastline down to Dunedin with its beautiful and interesting places as well as the nice city of Invercargill were our main spots on this part of our journey.
Of course, even if it is not our main activity during this holidays, we will looking for some caches, which are laying beside our route.
So this cache was one of those, we've picked up.
Many thanks to debsnz for this fine cache and best greetings from Germany.

Seventh find of the day!
We were out today, driving around Dunedin. This was the seventh cache we found.
We found the best point of entry from where we were and went off to GZ. We soon arrived at GZ. We looked around, not there, not in here, before... There it is! I quickly retrieved the cache, signed the log book and replaced it as I found it.
Thanks for the nice easy cache.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Coordinates were accurate and cache and contents were in good condition.
Well done.

We had a late breakfast after a late night and parked here. Could see that one of the neighbours bought a new horse as it was delivered just when we were sitting and enjoying our breakfast.
And there were some other cachers too. Just popping up, signing the log and off they went

Had to go to this one twice as muggles were about the first time. Cache quickly in hand. TFTC
I have set myself a mission to find 5 diverse and 20 caches total before I have to be back in Balclutha to pick the kids up from school at 1500. This is find number 02 on my attempt.
This was a nice easy park and find Just off the state highway. It had plenty of parking and the co-ordinates were spot on. Plenty of room left in the log book which was nice and dry. The main road was a little busy so timing was everything. Thanks for the cache. R-H

Today I have been granted a caching day by my lovely wife. (I’ll pay for it later I’m sure) so T-R-B and Roaming - Hayward will be completing 20 in a day and hopefully 5 diverse.

Hrmm, took me almost 10 weeks to log this find online. Anywhooties: thank you for the cache. Without it, I don't think I would have visited this spot. Thank you.
