I would rate the difficulty a bit higher!Took ages but got there in the end-managed to open the cache but was unable to retrieve log even with TOTT-TFTC
About lunchtime and after being out for the monring we had a couple of hours left before heading home, got to site and searched the area, read the previous logs and realised it may be a bit trickier, soon came across it though, prob need 2 tools now, one to open the cache and one to retrieve the log.

Joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 on this hot summers day to do a bit of caching around Devonport and Takapuna. Took a bit to spot this tricky wee hide and we couldn't move the cache, so we just used tweezers to pop open the lid, retrieve the log and then replace it. TFTC!

Out and about this morning on the Shore for a spot of cache detection before work this afternoon. I had actually stopped by here earlier but failed to produce the goods. I resorted to the PAF option to confirm/deny a little theory I had but the friend was a complete blank on this hide. However, that call resulted in a text from another friend a little later which confirmed my theory. Basically, the camo had rotted away. To retrieve the cache I had to dig down into the decay. After several minutes of work with my TOOT I was rewarded with the find. Oddly enough, this isn't the first time I have had to dig down into rot to retrieve a hide. Cheers for the hide!
First cache of the day. Excellent camo and wrote MTM since log book had no room. Cheers.
Early start on Saturday morning, already getting hot and the muggles....!!! Parked up and once I had decided on which location made a quick find. Nice construction and everything in good order. TFTC
I think I would have hunted for this cache for quite a while if Mr P hadn't been with me... he was on fire today and found this tricky cache within moments... t4tc
I had a bit of a sinking feeling driving along the road as there has been some chopping of trees and a new wire fence erected, but all is good. Great hide, TFTC.
Doh! thought it was in the quarry, till I reached a wall and still had some distance to go.

Coming back from ellerie races and stopped off in Takapuna for breakfast. Nice little find on a warm sunny day. Thank ypu
Parked next to the Old Takapuna Quarry and began looking for the cache. On my second circuit of GZ I noticed something that might just fit the hint - yes. Very nicely done. Thanks.
Always approach these with caution and so it proved.
Pleased to be onto it fast.
Great Camouflage .TFTC .

A quick grab heading up to Albany for evening service and then to see Interstellar afterwards. Nicely hidden! Thanks!
Popped out this evening to fulfill another mission on the ole calendar. Never seen the quarry from this angle before. Am sure the land will be used for something one day. Clever placement and hide here. SL. TFTC.
Well, that was a shocker. Finding a cache first in Auckland without even trying, what's the odds on that. Headed down to the shore today to clean up a few caches that have been published recently and saw this one come up this morning. Loaded it into the GPS and found while picking up some others in the area. Sorry Cretti, I wonder how much we missed you by. TFTC
I had an appointment nearby at 1pm, I'd seen the new listing that morning and was unsure if I would still have a chance to FTF it. Having checked the online logs when I got off the motorway and saw that no one had logged it yet I made the scurried run over to grab a potential FTF. As I got out of the car I looked around for my pen...? What? No pen? Not one in the car anywhere to be seen... Oh well, I figured I'd try to find it first then worry about that later..
Coords were good and the hint led me straight to the cache, another very well made g2 cache!
It was then that I noticed I was not FTF, Team Welsh beat me to it.. Since I wasn't FTF and since I didn't have a pen I have uploaded a photo of the log as I found it, I hope this will do for a 2tf?
Find #1060. Thank you very much for the cache. 14/11/2014 12:48
