Wow - so many DNF's and I know for a fact that there are more that haven't posted.
Can't wait for the CO to check on this cache and tell us - "but it's still there" :]

No luck which is a pity as we really wanted a large container cache. Didnt read the logs until after searching gz unsuccessfully.
Due to a huge number of DNF's over the Mega Easter Weekend suggest the CO check this one out.
Caching as MCTeam consisting of Aussie Liahona, DiamonJs, Rusty85, ozglory, bobbiesgirl, joojoo57 and myself. Travelling around the Lake Macquarie area finding all variety of caches. TFTC CO's.
I guess we shall add our DNF on this cache. We had a good search but couldn't come up with anything. Sorry!
Along with a long series of DNF's and with eight pairs of eyes searching there was nothing to be found. Seriously suggest this one may have gone missing. Posting a Needs maintenance for the CO to check it out.
Day 3 of the OzGeoMuster 2018.
I had a very definite plan for today. Start out early, complete the full circuit of Lake Mac grabbing all the Labs as I went. Well, you know what they say about plans: a useful way to measure how far off track you can get. I'm not unhappy with how things went, but I didn't get to do everything I had planned. It was good to make it back to the base for the night festivities. Caught up with the ACT cachers at their campsite and saw a few show some talent at the "Geocachers got talent" show. Everyone seems to be having a lot of fun.
Didn't find this one. Lots of evidence of previous searching, but nothing.
Thanks anyway wade2001

Last day for us at the Mega. What fun we have had. Meeting new people (Trekking Trev) catching up with old people. Tonight went off with a bang, but today we had unfinished business. We had a list of at least 20 more caches to find. We are not leaving the Hunter without more smilies!
What a shame we could not find this one - but the mosquitos certainly did find us. How can you not find something that apparently is so big.

Looks like we weren't the only ones to miss out on this one
Thanks anyway

We decided this was an ideal spot to stop for a picnic lunch and find a cache. We got the lunch but even with ten people searching we couldn't find the cache. Was there anywhere not searched by at least one person?? Clearly one, the cache hide........ or could it be missing?
Second visit to this cache & another DNF here. 5 groups = 10 people looking, we feel we covered every inch of the ground.
Along with pprass, The Morris, DiMorgan and geono, we had planned our lunch stop here and intended to find the cache first. Some of our group had had DNFs here before, but we had more eyes searching today. Surely we'd be able to find a container that size. Gave up after about an hour of searching, still with no idea about the cache's hiding spot. Our thanks anyway to wade2001.

Found with morry9.
I was planning on coming up this way yesterday to finish off the recently published 'Lake Macquarie Heritage Series' in the Watagans. My plans were dashed, however, when I caught wind of another early bird who was already on the trail picking them off, before we had even left Sydney. So, I decided to give it a miss and leave the remaining caches in the series for another day. This may have been a blessing in disguise, as I happened to notice a newly listed Wherigo cache, which was yet to be logged online. Morry9 was keen to join me and we hatched a plan accordingly.
The next morning, we met up and I drove up to the Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery in Booragul. The weather was threatening and storm warnings were active, but we braved the conditions nonetheless. Upon arriving at the park, it was only spotting with light rain, so we took advantage by racing through the stages of the Wherigo, 'The Hunt For ARTeFACTS' (GC7KPHA). It did not take us too long to unlock the final location and we soon had the Cache In Hand. I half expected to open up the log, only to discover others had already found it, but to our delight, this was not the case! A rare joint First To Find on a Wherigo to start the morning. My first First To Find on a Wherigo too! There was quite a bit of rubbish around Ground Zero, so we celebrated by filling up a bag with the litter around the park. The place looks much nicer now. The CITO Crusaders strike again! Thanks For The Wherigo Cache Marcus Vitruvius and day1976.
Not wanting to come all this way for just one cache, although it was a goodie, we set our sights on a few more, in the hope it would not storm on us. Next up was 'Karma Cache' (GC4ZJMB) in Speers Point. The fenced off construction zone proved no issue, as we skirted around the outside in the long, wet grass for a quick find. Thanks For The Cache Team-Tonka (Frisky_puppet).
I had started work on the new 'We're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat' puzzle series and had worked out '#11 - Kingfish' (GC7KPDE). A clever little puzzle and a nice hide, which was found after a few minutes of searching. Thanks For The Mystery Cache the_garbageman.
At this point, there was a nice small grouping of caches along the lake in Eleebana, which we wanted to pick up; including 'Billion Dollar Boardwalk' (GC42D93), 'Billion Dollar Boardwalk 2' (GC42FY2), 'Son's View' (GC4ACV9) and 'Eleebana Boat Ramp' (GC5GB7J). A pleasant walk indeed and equally lovely views... until, I turned around and saw rain fast approaching across the lake. We had time to seek shelter in Lions Park before it hit. After half an hour, the radar suggested it was only going to get worse, so our emergency evacuation plan invovled calling a taxi back to the car. There was flash flooding all around us by this stage, so we called it quits and headed back to Sydney. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners, jonignite, 80degrees and wade2001.

Searched for a while and couldn't find anything. May have overgrown a bit to much and covered it.
2nd attempt and nearly gave up again. Upon getting down and looking for the best exit route. It was spotted!!! Tricky hide
Like most couldn't find it and was about to give up but on the way out we spotted it!
Good cache!
Good cache!
We had tried before with no luck. Noticed there had been a few finds so we went back and soon had CIH
Looked high and low and couldn't find it anywhere. With so many DNFs this one could do with checking.
I had a look for this a couple of weeks ago when in the area, it is not where we found it before.
Regrettably, we did not find this one, we found plenty of entrances and studied the clue.... if it is still there, it is very well hidden,
Too overgrown found beer bottle someone mentioned that's all. Owner pleases check so many DNFs
Way over grown. Looks like there could have been a few spots ot was. However could not locate. Suggest maintenance required on this cache.
Looked for a while, thought I saw it buried under a pile of branches and leaf litter, but turned out to be a beer bottle.
Looked around for quite some time. Area is quite overgrown so hard to tell if it's hiding from us or maybe moved in the storms as it hasn't been found for some months.
Would love to know if this treasure is still there
Would love to know if this treasure is still there
Looked for awhile today, but didn't have any success. Lots of debris around from recent storms. Can owner please check on this that it hasn't been inadvertently covered up.
An hour and a half and all we got were scratches and spider webs:( Even read through logs and extended our search but found nothing.
Could not find this one, looked for ages. It was found this morning so very frustrating. I'll be back for it if anyone has any success post a pic!
Looked preety hard around the area, didn't manage to find such large container.

Out with contactpete. Looked for ages and just couldn't locate the cache.... very frustrating due to the size.
Out for a walk with the geomum and this was the last cache we had planned for the day. When we found it it was practically completely exposed, so I tucked it under some branches and covered it with camo, so hopefully it doesn't get muggled. TFTC!
We had nearly given up after searching for a while. Got a few scratches. Then spotted it as we were leaving. Not many swaps in there but we let 2 toys. Thanks for the cache. Kids enjoyed the hunt.
Nice last cache to console our frustration after missing out on the boardwalk. Nice spot in Eleebana close to the water. TFTC.
Scary find with so much bush and lots of spiders! Gps slightly off and was about to give up but then spotted it. Thanks
WOW I decided that bashing my way in straight through the middle of this bush was a bad idea very quickly and searched for another way in lucky I found one but my GPS lead me to a GZ a bit far from the caches so it took a bit longer than expected but thanks to some hints from photos Little Roo and I zeroed in on it and signed the log. We came out with only a few Geostripes TFTC
DNF at 3:46 PM. We looked and looked. It was tricky getting in there with all of the lantana, so we could not believe that the cache had been muggled, but after phoning Grub Fred we realised that it was a very large container that we should have seen just about straight away.
Had a good look around but no luck here for us today. We PAF for help & where it was supposed to be there was no sign of it. The CO should check this one out.
Find No: 5142. Started out as a lazy Sunday afternoon but ended up pretty busy, thanks for the cache wade2001!!
Took a little longer than I thought gps was playing up but got it with dart16

3 year old Aidan was thrilled at the size of this Cache ('treasure chest'). We swapped a purple wand for some stickers. Thanks!
