Found this one with TTO1 and TTO2 today. TTO1 and I are touring New Zealand with TTO2 for a couple of weeks and our travels brought us by this cache. So, we just had to stop and find it. Were really enjoying our visit and have been exploring lots of cool spots. Im sure that we will still have a lot that we didnt get to see on this trip, so I look forward to coming back again some time to see some more of this beautiful country. It was great meeting the CO at the event yesterday! Dropped some TBs so that they can continue their journey. Safe travels my friends. Thanks for the fun!

I didn't realize how far from the airport this one was and I wasn't sure if I would have enough time before my flight. But a quick walk/jog got me there and back in time. I should have just followed the GPS rather than trying to follow the hint. Got there in the end and this cache fills a regular dot day for me. tftc

Having had a busy geocaching weekend in Dunedin, at the MEGA, matagouri and I are now continuing on with our holiday 'road trip'.After chipping away at a few more of the 'aeroplane' series, and completing the ad lab series at the airport, we stopped for this one.Parking was very tight for a campervan, but we squeezed in.Thanks for putting this here

Rattll and I are continuing our holiday in the South Island after the completion of GeoToroa in Dunedin. Today, we're heading from Brighton Beach to Middlemarch, aiming to pick up as many solved mysteries as possible, and to visit the Sutton Salt Lake. While rattll was lining up the airplane series, we stopped off here to make the find. All well in the container, and picked up a TB. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!

Day 5 of my 6 day trip to Dunedin to attend the Mega and clean up all the puzzle caches solved over the last few years.Todays journey took me around Dunedin a bit and then hit the airport area cleaning up the puzzle caches here before heading back to Dunedin. Thanks for all the puzzles, caches, find, frustration and enjoyment.Spent most of the day with buttels. Logged as combinations of B&C.Took a while to find it. Wasn't quite where the GPS pointed to and lots of tree felling nearby.

25-Oct-24
What an incredible day it was. This morning Kittykatch, Joolay, barb2e and I cached our way to the airport. Here we met up with Binliner to attack the Plane/Jet series as well as quite a few along the way. We found every cache that we tried for, and this was one. The logs were all signed CCD (Canberra Cachers Dunedin). Unfortunately a couple of us forgot what day it was and used the incorrect date for a while, but once we woke up (literally) that error was corrected. A huge thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches. You add so much to our game. ??

25-Oct-24
Day dawned fine and dry after some rain through the night so was looking good for our plans for the day. A great morning spent collecting all our solved puzzles for the plane. Started at the airport with Smittengranny after meeting Binliner off his flight and then we teamed up with Joolay and Kittykatch. Had no problems with most of the finds and certainly enjoyed a few stops at the Outram cafe. Caches signed as CCD for Canberra Cachers Dunedin. Thanks for all the caches in this Geoart and the extras we collected while on the roads.

25-Oct-24

We are in Dunedin this weekend for the Mega with Stik-a-Crane, UncleSam, KeyLev, and NZTravellers. We have signed all logs as team SEAC to save space, especially as we know this weekend will be busy for all caches. We have landed, picked up the cars and the plane geoart and any other trads, multis, or puzzles we have solved are the targets for the day. We have had an amazing time and had very few DNF's for a very successful day with lots of laughs and memories made.

Elephant track in the shelter belt across the road led me astray, as the shelter belt on this side is more like a fence...all the trees chopped down. TFTC debsnz # 4182.... UPDATE: Lost "MacPacMum" date stamp. If anyone finds it, please message me.

Back home in Taranaki after a massive 5 days at the Dunedin Mega with MrMuggleNZ and its time to start logging my findsall 226 of themso wish me luck. Only 2 DNFs the whole time we were here so thats a testament to the dedication of the local cache owners and their maintenance prior to this event. Found after a few checks of different trees. Wasnt where I first thought it would be. Was good to see a TB in there so swapped it out. (That was the only TB we saw in a cache for the rest of our visit) TFTC

Quick find here today, nothing left nothing thanks for the placement and the smiley.

22-Oct-24
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were here for Geo Toroa (Dunedin Mega). Between flight cancellations and re-routing, things could only get better, right? But wait, theres more! Somewhere on our caching escapades, I dropped my wallet Its still at large, so if anyone finds itWe still have that FOB (Fresh off the Boat) newness to shake off. One of us is driving, the other is caching. Weve either logged caches with our separate handles, or weve used FANGS to sign the logbook. Using the latter handle is more for mental health and well being. Its tiring having to write 15 characters, plus on each logbookWe wandered around in circles at first, and then the iPhone gps settled down. We were side tracked by the tree clearing nearby, but this didnt end up being an issue. A good sized hide - for all of those TBs visiting Mega Thanks debsnz. TFTC.

20-Oct-24

30-Jan-23

I had to go to the airport to drop my Granddaughter off so that she could fly back home.

I parked the cachemobile down a side road near the airport so that I could walk to three of the Airport caches.

This one was the nearsest. Nice to see a regular sized cache.

Cheers for the cache.

I'm on a geocaching roadie from Whangarei to Dunedin. Geoarts were the main target of this trip.

In Palmy I got 2/3 of a shield and 2/3 of the 20/20 series. Wairarapa we achieved 100% of the M and some archived skindo challenges. Wellington I finished off the kiwi bar 1 dnf. Nelson I got my BGSc challenges. In Christchurch it was family time. Dunedin was another sucess with 100% of the airplane geoart. Then I flew home to say goodbye to my son heading to Denmark.

It was great to have my friend Supernanny come along on the trip for company. We had a wonderful trip and fantastic weather. I'm just finishing off writing the massive backlog of logs.

Todays target was the nearby geoart. We couldn't help grabbing this one on the way. The hotel was empty today but a lovely friendly cat was keeping the cache company. Thanks for the hide Smile

Nice easy find after dropping friends off at the airport. My first caching in a while, as I've been in isolation Sad - lovely to be out on such a nice sunny day (duly sanitised my hands). Not sure what the etiquette is when there is more than one trackable in a cache (these look as though they are a homemade set), but will send them on their way. TFTC.

30-May-22
We spotted this when we arrived last Friday but it was freezing cold and we were on the wrong side of the tree, so popped in and signed the log today on our way back to Auckland. Collected a TB to take it north.

The alarm went off at 6, to catch the red eye flight from IVC to DUD, due to depart at 7am from the east gate.
Packed my suitcase, with extra clothing, sunscreen and water.
We taxied towards the departure lounge, before putting the tray tables away, buckling up, and listening to the safety briefing and plotted course.
The pilot said the rain was going to clear late morning with a high of 17 degrees.
We departed about 5 minutes late on flight SFC, cruising speed about 105km/hr and a alltitude of about 2 feet.
We made good time, touching down at Allanton at 9.15, to add a few more passengers.
We made a few stop and starts, lefts and rights, even a small detour with better altitude to find some Kings.
Stopped mid flight for a cheese roll and a coffee at Outram, and a visit to the little boys room. Soon we were on to the tail end and reaching new heights, with a little bit of turbulence on an unmaintained gravel road, destination Everest easily reached.
I had a window seat, so great views once the low cloud lifted, was an enjoyable flight.
I must admit, I didn't solve any, but intend to one day, I just thumbed through the in-flight magazine, with phone on flight mode.
Thanks for the effort put in, and the reason to visit this area.
Stopped for a refuel in Milton, before the return flight, had a few sweets for the descend into Invers

Down to do some cellular testing, it'd be damn rude not to get a few geocaches along the way Wink

This was the end of the Palmerston to Dunedin Airport section... the guy that created the route couldn't have made the end point any better haha. I quickly jumped out and signed, before carrying on with another section. TFTC!

TFTC debsnz, the cache was found in good order Very Happy Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 find(s) of 6 today, making this find #2877
