Who would've thought that Garfield was this busy? This is my second visit, with the first being many moons ago. After sitting around and waiting for a gap in the daily trade, I made the quick find. Thanks for placing it here!

Found by The EmpireThe Empire cruised across Victoria's vast landscapes, a journey fuelled by anticipation and the thrill of reconnecting with The Rebel, their paths converging in a legendary meeting and a Parma at the pub in Warragul. As I drove further east, I passed through several small towns, each with its own unique charm. The lights of the towns twinkled in the evening dusk, adding to the picturesque journey. Entering the Gippsland region, the landscape became even more scenic. Rolling hills and lush greenery stretched as far as the eye could see. The winding roads required more attention, but they also offered breathtaking views at every turn. I rolled down the windows slightly, letting in the crisp, fresh air that was invigorating and refreshing. A quick find whilst in the area. Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7.-M

Still road tripping in the east and caching too with Jack and Purrfect Di. Australia Day, Invasion Day, Survival Day, Annoyed 'cos u can't buy an overseas made aussie flag day = Much Confusion Day ... whatever you're celebrating or not, it's still a day for caching! Just remember be nice to each other and respect the many varied views. Every day is Caching Day - so off we go!!! Big GrinCool [:o)]Started the day raining in Lakes Entrance, ended sunny in Ferntree Gully CoolCats cruising down the highway. See a sign to Garfield... Couldn't resist !!! Not muggly today - folks celebrating elsewhere. Nice quick find. Lest we forget. (And a little rubber stamp Wink ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big GrinBig thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all CoolOf course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! TwistedRazz C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! Wink Viva Mexicana ! This was the second of today's Garfield trio for me today and the one that caused me the most trouble. Surprised After checking everything I could think of within a 10-15 m radius Red Face, I finally spotted the stash at 15:40 not too far from where 2upoj was telling me it would be. [8)] Oh well.

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Pinkpiggy7.

In one last big day out for the year, buhfuhguh and I sent off 2022 with a trip to Warragul in the morning before gradually making our way around to Hastings to secure some of the last Community Celebration Events available to us alongside some miscellaneous local hides.

Having completed the nearby SideTracked cache, buhfuhguh was just about to head back to the car when I mentioned this traditional on the other side of the carpark.
Turns out he'd found it a while ago (and hides his finds from the map) but was happy to revisit it.
With my lack of satellite view, I took us vaguely in the right direction and saw a distinct possibility that looked as though it could take some time to comb through.
However, the giant's memory served him well as he directed me somewhere a little further over where the container could actually be found!

Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for this placement! Smile

Arrived in Melbourne to attend the MEGA Event at Whittlesea with woolwood9.
We came over a few days before to do some geocaching in the area first!

ww9 and I had a great time and this was a cache we located.
Starting to drive back towards the city, then onto an event.
Pleased to find this one quickly and in good order - had a DNF here last time in the area (2015)

After enjoying the hospitality of the local hotel and logging our finds for the day, we wandered across the road to grab two nearby caches. After searching for about ten minutes, I was ready to head to the car and off to our accommodation in Trafalgar when I thought I'd check one last spot and sure enough, there it was. Nice hide TFTC

Another whistle stop, another reminder of the price of freedom.

Oh, and another smiley. Quickly uncovered once the arrow of the GPSr settled.

Thanks, Pinkpiggy7

Lest We Forget.

---

As the (adopted) owner of one of Melbourne's SideTracked caches, how could I not attend the anniversary event in Bunyip?

Also, how could I not get sidetracked on the way?

Sunshine's on the way, right?

Anyway, after collecting a couple more in the series and then, appropriately, getting sidetracked one more time by a fun set of trail caches when I was most of the way to where I'd arranged to be picked up in Pakenham, n0w0rries ferried me from Hallam to the event.

Of course via the SideTracked cache in town.

A very interesting day in what some people call the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne! We worked on collecting more senior karate belts, searched for bunyips around billabongs, remembered the fallen who had served our country in wars past and tried hard not to be side tracked by those interesting old stations.
Neat little diorama's nearby.

Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for placing caches in interesting locations.

Time to go up to Erica. Considering the event near Mt Erica on Sunday.
Collected a few caches on the way today. Been a while since I have been out this way.

Although it was around lunchtime, there were very few muggles in the area. I found most of them in the Cafe across the road later.
I have not noticed this memorial before.
A quick find and sign.
Thanks, Robmc.

Had to find an unknown and a multi today to work towards filling calendar day finds and I spotted this outlaying group of caches what would satisfy my needs. There was also the bonus of solving one of the very few day1976 puzzles that I can understand let alone solve Wink
Busy street this morning, oops, afternoon, but no real issues making the find unobserved.
**Thanks for placing this cache Pinkpiggy7**

After attending an event at Mt Cannibal, we had enough energy left (just) to swing by Garfield and collect a few caches. Garfield is a town we have always driven past, but today we had the opportunity to stop & check out this quaint place.

Not a quick find. We started at the wrong elevation, then the penny dropped regarding the clue. Nice hide.

Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache in this wonderful ‘Remembering The Fallen’ series. Good to see you today too.

Lest we forget.

**The Adventure:** Out caching today with Snips and Co. This morning we attended the event on top of Mt Cannibal with a group of friends, who all had the same idea as to grab the caches in the nearby town of Garfield. Snips and Co parked her trusty geo-vehicle in the perfect spot so the diners at the pub across the road couldn’t see what we were doing. Nice hide, like it belongs there.

Thanks PinkPiggy7 for placing and maintaining this cache for our geo-enjoyment. We have found others in your 'Remember The Fallen' series. It was nice meeting you today and discussing the ‘weathering’ of our knees! Cache on

**Took:** nothing **Left:** nada
**TBs:** Visited Kitty the TB.

Hand sanitiser was used before and after accessing the cache.
