That's a real shame. Hopefully third time lucky....wasn't that a name of a cache?

19-Apr-17
Regret to advise that due to alterations to the stairs , this very popular cache will need to be archived. Now considering how to replace it.

14-Apr-17
No sign of it

Gosh after countless visits and attempts, we finally found this beauty. I remember looking for the first cache years ago, and having no luck. Excellent experience as always, thanks duck

Footpath up is closed at the moment.
Plenty of recent civil work. Perhaps Worth checking

08-Apr-17
It's a nice day for geobiking along the river !!
New stairs ... so the cache is maybe not here any more ?

25-Mar-17
Is it still there Ducky??

19-Mar-17
DNF, but did find another cache, marked DA8158, obviously not a Duck as it's a simple plastic tub covered in gaffer tape,

26-Jan-17
Today was a massive day of caching for Kagers17!! We walked from Perth to Fremantle which took 9.5 hours (after all the stopping to hunt for caches)! We even managed to knock over our 400th find along the way!! Unfortunately being Australia Day a lot of caches remained unattempted as the muggle population was extremely high everywhere! But a great day was had!!

We looked as best we could between muggles but no luck here today. TFTH

20-Jan-17
My duck hunting skills are still subpar I guess. Although there weren't too many muggles around, I wasn't able to locate this one. Thanks anyway duck 43

11-Jan-17
For no real reason other than 'we wanted to', Net88 and I are visiting Perth and surrounds for a week of adventures! And this is definitely the farthest from home I've ever been! Over 3600 kilometres from home to this GZ! We had flown in very late last night, and today we were out on foot to grab an eventual 24 finds, with well over 30,000 steps mostly targeting some choice geocache listings.

We are without a car, so chose to take the train and go with the 'two feet and a heartbeat' option. We headed to Elizabeth Quay and caught the train down to Canning Bridge Station to begin a circuit through Como and South Perth before crossing the bridge into Applecross.

It's now well into the afternoon and we're grabbing a few high-favourite point hides. We've done what we can to grab as many types in a day and the next bus we want leaves in an hour. We should be able to cram a few hides between now and then and along the way. We leave from the pirate playground up top and head down the stairs. Along the way is this icon.

The high Difficulty rating isn't lost on us, so we set a short time limit so we don't get stuck here. I launched right into looking closely physically while Net checked out the listing to see if there were any hints. After just a few minutes (including breaks for muggles to pass) I turned up something suspicious. This turned out to be the geocache.

Evidently, we have a bit of an eye for sneaky, cheeky hides. We added our names to the logbook, returned as found and headed off for a another smiley before the bus. Thanks for this clever geocache, duck43 Smile

Captain Terror and I were spending the week in Perth. I had wanted to visit WA for quite some time, it is the last Australian state/territory for me to visit. We had made a list of geocaches that we wanted to find and this cache had made the list. This was the nineteenth cache for our huge day of 24 caches and 31331 steps.

We arrived at the bottom of the stairs and started searching. We only had about an hour left before our bus to take us back to the hotel so we made a deal that if we didn't find the cache in 10 minutes we would leave it. I started reading hints and logs and Captain Terror dove straight into searching. It took about 3 minutes for the Captain to find the container. We signed our names in the logbook, replaced as found and got on our way. Thanks for the cache duck 43

27-Dec-16
Very cool tftc

27-Dec-16
Coords out a bit for us. Read a previous log and had cache in hand soon after. Loving your hides duck 43

26-Dec-16
We are visiting from the UK but Lesley briefly work at nearby Heathcote in the late 1970's so it was interesting to come here and see how the area has changed since then. Another excellent hide that had us scratching our heads for a few minutes until we spotted something that didn't look quite right ... TFTC

16-Dec-16
Our lucky last duck cache along the river today, with over 20 ducks found we are well and truly worn out.
This one proved quite tricky and co-ordinates were out a bit but I slowly ascended until I found it. The ants had found it too -Worked this out after I sat down for signing duties. I stood up a lot quicker than I sat down but luckily no ants in my pants. Very good camo here that required careful extraction as the log container was a little stuck. But taking my time all was good. Loved this one too and I think I may have earned some fav points today so can afford to give yet another one out. TFTC duck 43

16-Dec-16
Well done Webby, don't forget to put my name on that one! Another fave. TFTC

Thank you for those caches the Moorhelmis

With the showers clearing up and the sun poking its head out I decided to head out and do some more of the Duck 43 caches along the water front. Like all previous caches done by the man there were more unique and creative idea's. Where dose he get all his ideas from? Like previous day, even though there were some decent numbers, it was also a day of quality. However though, I begin to feel that I am getting a handle on how Mr Duck thinks, so I have more of an Idea of what I am looking for. An enjoyable afternoon was had. Hopefully there is more to come.
tftc Smile

07-Nov-16
Had myself going in circles with a jumpy GPS, so while I decided to let it settle I read some previous logs and narrowed my search down and when I saw something suspicious I had to wait a little longer for muggle walker to clear the area.
With the area clear I quickly went for the suspected cache and bingo, container in hand, log signed and replaced. TFTC.

Found @10:13 #5793
My last day in Perth after a weekend trip from Melbourne. An unexpected delay for the return flight back to home until later in the afternoon allowed me to pick up a couple of caches that I didn't think I would have had time for on this trip. Another nice day and with the pressure off to get to the Airport anytime soon so took it slower as any caches found now was a bonus.

On this trip my plan was to tackle some of these famous caches by Duck43 on the Friday but due to flight delays out of Melbourne I just didn't have time then but now I do.Big Grin

Wow cool. Found quicker than I expected. Favorite [^] First Duck43 cache today. [^]

Oh. My. God! This one really tested us. We looked everywhere, in every nook, at every bolt, tried to lift and pull everything, and then we took a break and went and looked for another of duck43's, which we found. We came back and spent another age looking, and just as we were about to call it quits, I saw what I had been been overlooking all that time, and yep we had it. A brilliantly frustrating hide. You sir, are a geocache hiding super genius!

20-Aug-16
Some time to kill in Perth on a beautiful international geocaching day and between the ceremony and reception of our friends wedding! We just had to find a cache or two and even better being in Duck 43 country, so a virtual cache first and one other for the day!

Thanks for the clever hide!

20-Aug-16
A beautiful day and decided to find this cache before the wedding of some wonderful friends. What a challenge! Only just managed to find it before the reception too. A fantastic, frustrating and very sneaky hide! Perfect for International Geocaching Day! TFTC!

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.

Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.

Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Thanks duck 43 for placing this cache.

We descended and started searching. We were struggling to find a possibility until once again micaparamedic came up with the goods. Another clever hide from duck 43.

12-Jun-16
Found by Mary & David, in convoy with Alansee and micaparamedic (logged as ACMPMM), at 0855. We descended all the way and looked around. After a surprisingly short time, our collective peering and poking paid off, and we found another sneaky hide. Reminded us of one we found yesterday, and naturally gets a FP. Our thanks to duck 43.

26-May-16
There where a few caches on the Duck Run we had hoped to get and with some many good caches along the way we just had to try for them all. Some masterful hides and bits of work along the way so we will be handing out some more favourite points. TFTC.
A favourite point from us

What clever use of ... well what can I say. This had us beaten for quite a while. I sat and thought for a while (not on the seat) and resumed the hunt. It turned out I'd been almost sitting on it. Thanks again duck43.

A pleasant amble along the foreshore, swans foraging nearby.
This cache had us wondering for a while until Baktrak twigged to timber's quirks.

Three out of three finds for the duck43 caches today. Either they are getting easier or we are better able to spot the hides. Lazarus came up with the goods this time as I waited for the GPS to settle. Many thanks for the cache.

The three of us are visiting from Adelaide. We stopped at the nearby playground for Mini Tardis to have a play. Mr Tardis headed down the descent to find this new one (new to me, two years ago I was here and got its predecessor).

A clever hide which fits in quite well. Took me a good 10 minutes to find it.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache duck43.

First and only DNF for the day. I don't know where this cache is. Searched for about twenty minutes with a muggle sneaking up on me and questioning what I was doing. Told them about geocaching, and they asked if there was a prize in the container. LOL

Very pleased to change my blue face to a yellow smiley. A very clever cache which i passed over more than a couple of times. Thanks for a very satisfying cache.

We are in Perth for a few days so decided to go and find some caches as we usually do when travelling. There are so many to choose from we utilized GSAK to determine the caches with the most favourite points. It turns out that the caches by duck 43 are the ones to find. Armed with all the info we needed we headed out with some excitement. We were definitely rewarded with some of the best hides we have ever seen.

We walked to this one after finding the nearby "Applecross Views" cache. This was an awesome hide. We found it quite quickly as the previous finder hadn't quite replaced it properly. We disturbed an ants nest when we removed the cache. We signed the log and replaced the cache better than we found it. A favourite point from us. TNLNSL TFTC.

Tftc, found with jacklegs 44

27-Dec-15
Headed back to Perth for the day to have another go at the Duck 43 caches. But this time we didn't come alone, we brought support in form of geobrother and geoson. We started at the Lighthouse cache (basically we parked our car here so we could walk along the Strand).

This one nearly had us fooled! We had GZ a little bit further away but after looking around we eventually conceded that we had to widen our search. It took us literally what felt like AGES to locate this sucker. We were about to walk away with tail between our legs when geoP decided to go another round. He then located and retrieved it and exclaimed very proudly that HE found it! Wink One thing is for sure, no muggle will find it if every other geocacher uses stealth as well when there is people around! Fantastic evil cache! FP from us! tftc sl tnln

26-Dec-15
Well played, no luck here today

06-Dec-15

16-Aug-15
Great hide! As usual for a duck cache Wink

There were people sitting on the bench under the tree, and kids playing by the water, and a few people came up and down the stairs, but this didn't really affect my search.

I had a look around, poked and prodded a few things, looked underneath the stairs, and didn't find much at all. Eventually I stood back and let my eyes do the searching until eventually I spotted something - what if? - woohoo!!

Thanks for another great cache duck 43!

11-Aug-15
Another very clever Duck43 hide. Signed and left a spare piece of paper as the log is full. Another fave for you TFTC

Sadly I have to add my name to this list. Couldn't search very well though as pesky muggles were too plentiful going up and down the steps in droves.

02-Aug-15
Out on a caching day with sr_sparky before the Point Walter event. He had found this one before so took the time to sit and rest. There was someone running up and down the stairs but completely ignored me so that was great. I'm not very mobile atm due to a bad knee, so was struggling to kneel to look low. However I ended up standing back and finding what looked odd and there it was. TFTC Duck43

26-Jul-15
What started out as attempting a couple of duck caches on the Saturday, turned into a three day bender of duck hunting. Decided to come back up on the Sunday to tackle some of the caches along the river in Applecross. Then conveniently my car went in for service in Vic Park on the Monday, so that equalled more duck hunting while waiting for the car. Still plenty more to find even after the three day bender, can't wait to come back to find more!

I absolutely loved this one! Every time we have gone to find a cache that was on a wooden structure I've been determined that it must be 'one of those' and finally it was! Very well made, TFTC

25-Jul-15
Cunning, devious, sneaky. This cache lives up to the reputation of duck 43.
it took 2 attempts with a snack break in between. With cmb212.

25-Jul-15
Bit of a challenge this one. Found on last day in WA. Searched to no avail, quick cup of coffee and some sustenance then searching through previous logs and found a hint. Wood not believe it.
Found with Redruthguy and some friendly muggles.
Great cache, thanks.
