One of a bunch we worked through before hopping the ditch. Found with MummyPenny today, a little higher than indicated. If going barefoot, because say, the track might be underwater, beware of thorny debris at GZ. Thanks TikvaNZ.
Nice part of leafy Christchurch to explore, notwithstanding puddles.Found and signed with Baktrak. Thanks TikvaNZ
I'd looked at this cache every now and again over the years but really didn't know where to start! I finally had a bit of a breakthrough and managed to decode the mysterious symbols. Haven't been to this area for a while, a wet weekend was in store so decided to duck out for a quick walk before the rain came. A lovely area, nice to revisit and TFTC!
I solved this years ago and every time I drive past think I must stop one day. One day has arrived. Nice walk to hear except for the constant drone of traffic. Nice easy find, thanks TikvaNZ

We enjoyed this puzzle and thought it would make a lovely walk for today. Great spot for the final. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache TikvaNZ.
A good puzzle and even better cache hide. Nice spot. TFTC and taking me back to this lovely place.
Went the opposite way to it, didn't realised the walkway. Cache in good shape, tftc!!!
Solved a long time ago. Today was a brilliant sunny afternoon, and we finally enjoyed a walk in the wetland. The cache was a quick find. TFTH!
Solved last night. The trees have grown a lot since the first time I came here to find a cache. Shame the boardwalk is closed.
I have passed by this cache sooo many times since solving it but was always out of time to get where I was going. I was already later than I had planned today as well but I decided that I was going to sign it off once and for all! Nice to be able to relieve it from its unloved status for a while. Now for the long drive home. TFTC # 15,734
Nice walk around the reserve today, and good to finally find this one that has been on my to find list for some time - usually put off by lack of confidence in the weather and water levels. TFTC!!
I have had this puzzle solved for a while now. Today we were on our way to Rangiora so decided to take a detour and grab the cache. It was a quick find. TFTC.
Solved this cache ages ago, but never had time when in the area. Today we needed a cache for the streak and this became a mandatory stop. It is a shame how much the area has been let down - used to be one of our favourite walks to showcase Christchurch. Now no walk anymore and a very muddy area.
Great to find one of the older caches, TFTC

Out with Nosynel today, I like this place there is a tree in honour of my mum planted here. Thanks for the cache.
YAy I was geocaching with Bbear44 again. I had solved this one ages ago but thought the area wasn't accessible. Lucky for me it was.

Woohoo! Have been eyeing this one for 2 years, but the only time I had made the time to look for it, there were PD workers everywhere. Today, I wanted a special one for my 500th puzzle. A lovely walk on a lovely afternoon, and a quick find. Thanks tikvanz
This tricky puzzle was one of a few I solved before heading off on my South Island holiday. It took me a wee while to figure out where to park but, once I did, I enjoyed the walk to the cache site. After having trouble finding a number of caches in the past few days, I was very impressed with this container. TFTC, TikvaNZ.
Solved it yonks ago but finally in the vicinity today so decided to stretch the legs with the littles ones and pick it up. Spikey tree! Cheers
Solved earlier today so thought I might as well pick it up. Took the boardwalk out and the track back. Sadly I don't understand your reference to Gumdrops, TikvaNZ, so that's still yet to be solved. (Darn it!) Thanks for this puzzle and cache.
Solved ages ago, I finally got to the area today to do the nearby multi. This was a nice wee detour and a quick find. Even after all the weather since the last find the log is nice and dry here.

No problems cracking the code while planning our trip to Christchurch. Today we were in the area to make the find. For us out-of-towners the hardest part was finding the access point to the parking coords. Got there eventually, then we had an enjoyable (if hot) stroll to the final where the cache was soon located. An interesting place, thanks for showing us. Unbeknown to us at the time, we were to make a return visit here before we left for home.
I can't remember how or when I determined what these symbols meant - but I don't know what stopped me going a little bit further, because eventually what I found (a direct conversion list) seemed a bit obvious... no matter, made it in the end...
Bumped into the caretaker right at the start of the walk, and that was the only other person... Been in here a couple of times before. Nice area. Exciting to see the new road development coming along nicely... the sound of it doesn't really match the peaceful surroundings in here though... TFTC (3443)

An easy find for the Crood kids but puzzle had me stumped for a while. Tftc we had a great time enjoying a walk thru the area.
Took a while to sort out this puzzle, but eventually I got the green tick. Was driving nearby the GZ today, and thought I'd try for a bit of a cheeky park to see if I could access the cache. Turns out I could, lost my pen, but found the cache. Thanks for the puzzle, and the cache.
Managed to fend off the jet-lag with a spot of caching with JD. This was an easy find for us in a very sunny spot. Tftc.
Solved this one a wee while back. Today I was out with Injeanious - who arrived back from South America today, what a better way to beat the jet-lag than by going out caching in the sunshine? Cache found easily, thanks!
Had solved this little puzzle some time ago and the solved coords were frustratingly close to my daily commute I have been ever so tempted each morning.... Today I could no longer bear it and as I had a nearby meeting I decided to make an attempt. Without giving too much away the normal access was closed and it didn't look to bad to me so made an attempt on foot and was very chuffed until the reason for it being closed became apparent. I negotiated one section easily and felt smug, the next was too bad unless you had wings.... Too far to go back.... through I went and onward. Once past the far end the alternative access became apparent and the cache was easily found. I could then return to the car via the alternative access with my head hung low, looking silly. Thanks for a great puzzle and adventure.
#12114. Another puzzle Troodles found ages ago, so it was a good choice for my cache of the day. When I bike to work from Kaiapoi (after having driven from Rangiora) I bike past the entrance to this area on the way to work, but not on the way home. I altered my route home (tricky to get across the main road in Belfast) so I could look for the cache on the way home. Took a roundabout route to GZ, and found a more direct route on the way back. TFTC.
I wasn't confident in solving this puzzle as I haven't had a great deal of success with puzzle caches. However, I managed to figure it out with a bit of help from Mrs pwh29. The final was a quick and easy find.
Thanks heaps for this cache.
Thanks heaps for this cache.
A nice quick find here by urch
Kyzabra and I headed over for the Christchurch Mega from Perth, WA. We teamed up with our caching buddies from Queensland, Gunnie69 and GhostGums for a bulk of the finds. We were joined by tealby and Urch fir this leg of our journey.
A lot of planning was involved with literally hundreds of puzzles solved and we targeted some highly favorited caches as well as those that filled gaps in grids and calenders!
We had a fantastic time caching in the cooler climate and with no fear of snakes or other nasties! Christchurch is my old home town but I did not know about caching when I lived there so it was fun exploring the City with a different objective.
We were glad to grab the smiley on this one and we replaced the container as found. Thanks TikvaNZ for placing this and bringing us to this spot!
This is my find #4233 and find #3 today.

Grabbed this after solving back home.

A group of us from Oz over for the Mega teamed up today to go cache hunting, with our wishlist being to find 12 varieties of caches in a day, a feat only possible whilst a Mega is being held. This was one of the puzzles found.
Many thanks for the puzzle and the cache TikyaNZ.
Many thanks for the puzzle and the cache TikyaNZ.
Urch and I were on a mission today, and joined up with Kyzabra and Jinta29 to find 12 different cache types in one day (or 11 types for me, as the Tealby B Team had already found the one & only virtual in Christchurch). This was the first of several puzzle caches that were found. TFTC.
Have had this one solved for sometime, but was going to leave it for a Dot Day Emergency.Well today was the Day..Enjoyed the walk to GZ,on a nice sunny afternoon.TFTH

Today was one of 17 remaining days when I need to find at least 2 caches on that day, rather than one, so that I can bring my calandar up to being filled in 4 times over by early Nov!! Getting close!! (I had over 35 days to go at the start of the year...)
This cache I solved a wee while ago, so it had been on my to-find list... I just seem to always forget about the to-find list!! Haha.
So took the nice wee wonder, and instantly knew what I was looking at when I arrived at GZ - that made for a super quick find! Was a very easy solve too, as I just had an idea of what it would be instantly
Consec caching day #935

Puzzle quickly solved, and then a nice walk around the reserve to collect the smiley. All quiet on a bit of a damp day.
Thanks for the puzzle and the hide.

Puzzle took me a little to work out as the symbols looked familiar but I just could not put my finger on it for longer than I would like to admit. Finally had that brain thaw and twigged and then puzzle was quickly solved. Managed a find today while in the area. TFTC
Just managed to get back to the car before the heavy rain started. It is amazing the amount of damage to the trees. Thanks for the help from the Warbuts. TFTC
We had driven very close to GZ earlier this morning and I joked to StreetWalker that he should let me off and I would sprint to the cache then sprint back to the car - as the traffic was moving quite slowly at that time, it may have been a possibility!
Later that morning, stopped by on my way back to Rangiora. The day had turned a lot warmer, and wished I was wearing something cooler than my jeans. The area has changed a bit since my last visit, not so much shade this time, which I could have done with today! A very pleasant walk indeed and after tackling a few prickly plants, found the nicely hidden cache.
Thanks for bringing me back here and thanks for the puzzle.

Such a pleasant stroll on a brilliant afternoon. Met only a mower (no driver) and the odd swampy. Aptly titled. Did the anticlockwise route.Thank you.
Spent the day out at a friends farm at Motanau for a BBQ lunch with a huge bunch of friends and kids. Most fun. Needed a cache for the day...so stopped of here on the way home in the late afternoon. Cool wee puzzle that looked familiar so was a straight forward solve. Wee wee dude was fast asleep so sent Mrs G and Wee dude on a wee walk to make the find. Cheers.
Quick solve on this one as I have had experience with this before from CO
I had a few moments to spare and headed to the general area. Hmm, which way to approach? I spotted a likely way but chose another. I ended up walking a bit further that I anticipated. But still made a 'short cut'. The cache was quick to hand. Could be a 'park n grab' at the right time Walked back the way I spotted upon starting out. Fun puzzle.
Thanks for the cache.

I was about to head out on a domestic chore when I noticed that this cache had been published. After a quick pondering and a little smartphone work I had it solved. A quick cache refresh revealed that no one had yet logged a visit so I diverted a short way whilst on my chore run. I got twice the walk that I had planned on as I had to return to gather additional geocaching equipment because things have changed a little since my last visit to the area. Cache was quickly found at 11.20am and ... Yahoo I had achieved a rare (for me) FTF. Thanks for cache TikvaNZ.
This popped up when I was working in Rangiora. Solved it during my lunch break and then headed off to find it after work. It was a longer walk than expected but enjoyed the abundant bird life. Had to scratch my head a bit at GZ. Which one? Then after reading the cache name again soon had my hands on it. A 2TF for me. Tftc and the nice walk.
Claiming FTS but unfortunately I can't go out and get it today as have other commitments, dang it. Will keep on watch in case I get lucky and the FTF doesn't go
