Logs
Due to repeated incidences of deliberate spoilers & photographs being posted on several online social media sites & in cache logs, by a small cadre of relatively new cachers , our caches no longer fit the D/T levels or challenges as intended.
Add to this the often spiteful/derogatory & negative comments logged and/or posted online by these same few people, an increase in 'muggle' (?) interference & the disappearance (?) of several caches in recent days, as well as verbal attacks in general conversation, & we have come to the unfortunate decision that it just isn't worth wasting our time, effort & money on placing & maintaining caches any longer.
Following repeated requests for these people to respect the caches, the COs & to follow Groundspeak guidelines by amending their behaviour, which was met with 'We can do what we like!', we no longer wish to be the subject of a few spiteful individuals' attacks & rather choose to enjoy our caching experience without their input.
We thank all those that have enjoyed our caches & responded positively & in the true spirit of Geocaching & can only apologise to those who this decision may disappoint.
As always ...

Very well hidden, I found where the cache should have been however it wasn't there. Other than that awesome location.
Mother nature was putting on a real show for us at this cache. We thought we had a fair idea of what the cache container would be but the challenge to find the correct hide was fun. Eventually we discovered the hiding place but the cache was not where it should be. When we located the missing cache we signed the log and tried our best to replace it properly. This one might need a little TLC to prevent it dislodging again. Great cache and a favourite point from me. TFTC Vegan Cachers.
Started off from Wynnum north train station with plans to make it along to coast to Manly and then to Manly station. Didn't quite make it that far, a four year old slows you down quite a bit. So this was find 8/14.
A clever hide, we took it to the nearby table so I could get the log out and I have some photos of my 4 yr old looking amazed at this hide.

Sorry for the late log....
I was heading to work but decided on a detour, found myself here. A lovely place, I have visited a few times before. The cache didn't take long to discover. Very funky camo! After leaving my mark I headed to the picnic area and took a moment to look out over the wetlands and watch the feathery beasties enjoying their last moments of today.
Thanks for the cache VC

Found the vicinity quickly and as I was looking around, golden birds spotted something that looked different and I saw a lid sticking up. WOW what an awesome container. Log signed and replaced with lid down for the next finder. Will award a FP for ingenuity
I saw something a little different and sure enough it was a new beginning. Best container ever. TFTC
I am so glad I go out caching. I had no idea any of this was here. What a cool place. After a quick look the cache was found.
Walking back rangers asked us if we were geocachers or Pokemoners.

Today we caching in the Wynumm area with Kristie Morgan, we found a variety of caches in some interesting places.
This was avery well concealed cache, blends in so well with its surrounds.
A favourite point given.
Thanks for placing this cache Vegan Cachers (VC)

After an eventful day, we decided to keep on caching even though it was fairly dark. My sneaky better half had found the cache, signed the log book and not told anyone whilst my other family and I continued to hunt for atleast 10 minutes! I absolutely love the cache container! Thank you so much for bringing us here and maintaining this creative cache. TFTC!

I loved the container for this one, very creative. I was very lucky and found it nearly straight away, if I had have been looking on a different angle though, I think I would have missed it and had lots of frustration. Thanks for bringing us to a lovely spot Vegan Cachers
While the dog was doing a good job at being a distraction, i scrambled around looking for this cache. It took longer than expected due to the inner container being dislodged. Eventually i found the micro on the ground amongst the leaf litter, seed pods and debris.
Removed the log tape, added my name and returned the tape to the container. I then found a suitable lodging to hide the container in. Hope it stays in place.

A caching day around the northern end of Wynnum with Joojoo57. We had a list of 28 caches to potentially find for the day, but due to a lot of time spent where we had no result, we completed only fourteen of the list. So we'll be back soon on another day.
Continuing our nature walk trail - Oh Goody!! And a great cache here. Hope the others are as good!
Found at 12.15 pm on 24th June 2016. TFTC.

A creative hide that we found after a short search. Lovely day to be walking this trail. Thanks VC.
TFTC. Very creative. Signed the log and had a sit on the nearby bench for a rest after walking this beautiful circuit.
Easy find. All intact. Might need a tool tho to get the log out of the container
Half made by nature and half by human, what a splendid way for a "New Beginning"... **TFTC**
Loved the cache container. Well done. Favorite point given here for the creative cache. TFTC.
day of caching at Wynnum ......... really liked this novel hide quick and easy find
Took us a while to find this cache but after a long search we eventually had the cache in hand. TFTC. Loved the creative cache container so have given this cache a favorite point
KerriMG and I were here last week with no luck, but seeing that the CO had replaced the cache we had to return.
This was to be our first find for the day but a muggle sitting in a nearby shelter made us change our route. Luckily on returning past here he had gone which allowed us the opportunity to search.
KerriMG found it today with it being just as we expected. Thank you Linden/6 for this clever cache and for replacing it. I appreciate your efforts.

Out for the day with Nikid1 & we decided to head back over to Wynnum to cache somewhere with a cool breeze on a hot day.
We headed to this one first as it had been muggled last time we were here but a man was taking advantage of a shady spot & having a relax so we decided to continue on our way & do this one last. Luckily as we were heading past after finding another cache he had gone so we headed in to have a look.
We expected to find this one pretty fast as we thought we knew exactly what we were looking for but it required a bit more searching than anticipated. Turns out we were on the right track & I made the find, log signed & replaced as found. So glad you replaced this one as it was, very creative container & a great spot, a favourite point from me.

Apologies to those who recently attempted to find this cache.
It appears it is even more popular than we thought as it has disappeared again.
Hopefully everyone who wants a copy of the cache has already been here & this new edition will remain in place a little longer.
We WILL NOT let muggles or over zealous cachers win the day! LOL ...
New cache in place & all good to go!
Safe & Happy Caching!

A bit late logging but as KerriMG said we searched high and we search low but just couldn't find this today. We discussed what we thought we were looking for but it wasn't to be.
This is a great place so happy to return another day. Will keep an eye on this cache. Thanks for your efforts Linden/6.

Over on the southside with Nikid1 to find some letters for the spell March challenge & any others that were nearby.
This was our second cache of the day but unfortunately we couldn't find it.
We had an idea of what we should be looking for but after having a pretty thorough search that turned up nothing we needed to move on so we could find the other caches we needed to before heading back for school pickup.
Not sure if it was just cache blindness for us (which is a distinct possibility.....) or it's been muggled but we will definitely have to come back another day for this one. Beautiful area with lots of birdlife.

After an interesting job at Cannon Hill today, I decided to go for a little drive to an area I've been keen to explore for quite a while.
After a short stroll, I found myself looking at a very nicely crafted cache indeed. Great work with this, and yes, I was glad I packed my tweezers. TFTC where all is OK: I gave the log a bit of time in the sun to dry a little.

Team effort used to find this one. Ingenious hide. Beautiful spot with lovely bay breezes. Thanks.
Beautiful cache. Nice weather, peaceful spot and a clever construction. A walk with the dog and I finally had to settle this one after being muggled last visit. A quiet afternoon and this cache was on hand after a bit of admiring was done of the local flora and fauna. Tftc. Recovered and returned after a day a uni.
Heard that this one had returned.
Headed here after work and wandered in.
Quick search and locate.
Signed the log and returned.
Thanks for replacing

This is my second time visiting this cache the last time it had been muggled thanks for your quick matainance Linden/6 make sure you close the cache properly it kept coming open on me but with a long fingernail managed to get it shut TFTC
It's good to see this cache have "new beginnings" but hopefully it will hang around a bit longer this time. TFTC Linden/6
24/11/15 This is my third visit to this cache. The first time I thought I had cache blindness, the second time I contacted the CO and was confident it was missing. This lead me to put this cache on my watch list so I could grab it before it went missing again. Today I had a short time available before work so decided I should take my chances. I arrived at GZ easily and without the need for my GPS (but each other time the GPS has been spot on) . I was thinking this would take some time to find, but knowing what to look for I spotted it straight away. A cleverly camo'd cache and it was nice to sign a clean, fresh log. Thanks to the CO for regularly replacing this one and I hope it sticks around a little longer this time. TFTC Linden/6
Well, this cache certainly appears to be quite popular for many different reasons.
I think the Found its, DNFs & cache disappearances are all about equal.
It is becoming quite obvious that someone is deliberately removing the cache so, unfortunately, once again it needs to take a short break while a new one is organised.
I wonder who will persevere the longest?
Us or the removalists?
Hopefully it will be back in about a week.
Cheers & keep on caching!

I know what new beginnings are but there was not one that qualified for a cache.
Will return if it returns
Thanks for the hunt

Spent a lot of time here and saw many things but nothing that's different. Give this one up to cache blindness I think
Up & running, once again, for all to find!

Couldn't find this one and then read the log entries. I'll be back when the cache is replaced.
Out for a day of fun geocaching with barbbowman and bubba89 - we decided to head down Wynnum way as there were quite a few caches that none of us had yet found. We parked at a convenient location to commence a very pleasant walk picking up a few caches as we went.
We located where we thought it should be located and after confirming our thoughts with the CO, confirmed it is likely missing. Thank you anyway Linden/6 for having placed the cache for everyone to find.

It appears this one has gone astray. We will be away in NSW for a couple of weeks & will attend to the cache upon our return. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Not so many muggles out in this part of the world, but still the occasional one passing by on the tracks on either side.
A quick hunt soon revealed this nicely hidden cache. Very well constructed indeed.
The first of a few favourite points to be awarded today.

This was the next cache on my path back to the car. Although it was disabled, the previous log led me to believe I should drop by. I sent a text to the CO also, to see if they thought I should also and got a green light to have a look. So I clambered in and saw the cache sitting on the grass. Whilst sitting down checking it out I noticed a cat on a lead being walkes close by. Oh hang on, I know someone that walks a cat and woah I know that person! I popped up from my little spot and said hello - what a lovely surprise! The CO's had come on a maintenance run.
I signed the new logbook and had a bit of a chat before we decided to continue on.
Thanks again for coming down to meet me down here and thanks for another cool cache in the area.

It looks like there may be a problem with the cache. Will rectify in the next couple of days. Apologies for any inconvenience. Happy caching! Linden/6
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at10:00am. We have been here before but found it quickly this time. It is a good cache too. TFTC
AS I approached the GZ, I thought it could be in an obvious spot caches can be put, but the GPS was swinging a little more over towards the bush. In I delved and set about using my eagle eyes again. Very nice work here with the cache container. In keeping with its environment. TFTC Linden/6
It was a showery day walking along the path. This one had us scratching our heads for a while but then
all of a sudden something caught our eye. Wow!! This is a really smart one!!

Wow! This one had us going in circles. Thought we knew what it was but, where to start. Luckily Swampybees spotted it. Signed and returned after a little running repairs. All good now. Thanks Linden/6 love your creativity.
Tonight Genyo and I decided to head over to this area and grab a handful of caches. It was raining to begin with but that cleared up soon enough, not that the rain stopped us.
This was the last cache on our list for tonight and we were on quite a high from the great caches we had found previously. On our walk to this cache we came across an issue with our path being completed flooded. We couldn't tell how far the flooding went but we decided to just go for it and hope for the best. Thankfully it was only a few metres we had to travel before we were back on dry land however I was wishing I had of worn my waterproof shoes...
Before long we were at GZ and Genyo was off searching an area but after I read the name of the cache I as convinced it was in another place. After a brief search of this new place Genyo had a fantastic idea of where the cache would be...sadly that was the easy part. We searched and searched, then searched some more and were not having much luck, Genyo had even split his pants. We decided to PAF a friend and she gave us some insight in where to look just as Genyo found it.
This was the perfect way to end the night, the cache container was very creative! Favourite point. TFTC!

We left the previous cache and ventured towards this one... But wait... There was water totally covering our path. Without bright lights we couldn't really see how far the water extended for, but it 100% covered the path.
I was feeling game and after checking the GPS and google maps we felt confident to proceed - after all I can't be swept away too far in mangroves!
I started into the water with Dawesy321 following closely behind. I had a big advantage having big waterproof boots on (unlike him).
The water wasn't too deep and before too long we were on dry ground again!! Yay.
We turned off the touches and went the rest of the way to GZ by the glow of the distant lights.
I remembered this location after visiting here for a few other caches previously.
We got to GZ and I started searching where I thought it would be... That was until Dawesy321 directed me somewhere else and told me the hint. I thought I knew what it mean... But where to start!!!
I spent a good 15 mins looking through all the things without luck... I crawled, relocated many spiders, split my jeans and still no cache!!
We thought we should do a PAF and thankfully we got a helping hand! After the little nudge in the right direction we ended up with the cache in hand.
The log was too wet to write on so we replaced it with a small waterproof log.
Fantastic cache! I really enjoyed this little series!
TFTC for all the caches tonight. Another fav point from me.

After a busy day I still organised with Tdimdad to come out this way and join him for a few caches for the afternoon. We compared which ones we hadn't done and which we had. We had a couple over lap, so it was a bit of a joint effort overall Once we had gotten out of the car and put on the Aeroguard we headed into the first cache. We didn't exactly go the quickest route but we got there. Tdimdad had already found this one so it was only me really be looking for this one. We got close to GZ and there was a muggle couple at the nearby hut but we hoped that they were too caught up with what they were doing to pay any attention to us. I had been here before and had a brief look and been unable to spot it. I thought I knew what I would be looking for but still had no luck. For some reason when I approached it this time I started the search looking in a direction that I didn't look last time I was here, I felt like I might be onto something here! It took me a few angles but I spotted it. There poor Tdimdad was trying to keep me searching in the wrong area while he checked that it was still there, but it had moved slightly since he had found it and he had to look all over again. While he was doing that I had searched the area I had started with and had moved towards him and I was actually the one to spot it first! TFTC!
Too tricky for me this time. Came away with nothing but a few ideas for my next visit.

Had a little walk around the mangrove reserve with Sezzz. It took a few minutes for us to spot this. I had found this earlier in dark and now in daylight things looked little different and I didn't recognise the hide until Sezzz thought aloud if it just might be worth checking that one thing over there...
All good here.

Out for a day of caching with IolantheK. It didnt take us long to find this sneaky cache. We signed the log and continued on our way
I had a few hours to spare for a play day today, so put out the word, and Selva Girls was able to join me
Time for a bit of a walk to stretch the legs, and here's a lovely wander with several caches as well [^] Once at GZ I spotted this one fairly quickly as it is a little odd. Nicely done. TFTC, Linden/6.

Out caching with Lisylou, Bennyboppers, Remsjw, Jemillalucy and Misssusan. When we arrived we were greeted by a baby brown snake on the concrete. We waited for it to slither away before sitting down to have some lunch. Such a beautiful area. Lisylou and Remsjw had a look but couldn't find it. After I finished my lunch I decided to have a look and spotted it nearly straight away. Great camo! TFTC and for bringing us to this lovely scenery!
A clever hide. We stopped at the nearby shelter to have lunch and enjoy the beautiful view!
A nice area around here. We stopped for lunch, spotted a little brown snake which wasn't too scary and then I was reading the info on the page then mnance found it. A relatively quick find. Tftc
OH look, sunshine.
Who would of thought a day or so ago with Tropical Cyclone Marcia bearing down on us[?]
So I headed out caching.
I am slowly making my way south.
I actually looked at the container several times before my brain 'clicked'

Found it. At last. After a PAF. And some added search even after that.
Had to take my son to Lota which was convenient for getting a cache for today, too. I'll do these ones one by one to fill the calendar though it means a bit of driving each way each day. All of them will be done at night time with a headlamp - something I suck at but there's no other option right now.
Before arriving I had a preconceived idea of what to look for. However, at the GZ there was nothing similar, so all those thoughts went by the wayside and I had to clear my mind and start afresh.
I first spent some 15-20 mins searching in vain. Combed through the place between 0 - 200 cm height with nothing coming up.
Decided to try my luck and made a TAF (text a friend) and after a few minutes some hints started to come through. One related to height lead to the find eventually but even with that information it took a while to realise the container. And the word 'realise' is accurate here as I certainly had seen it and discarded as part of the natural environment.
All good here, including a neatly rolled logsheet. TFTC, Linden/6.
