Logs

07-May-23
I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, matty16, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Last logged as found 2 years ago. Latest DNF this month. CO replied to Post Reviewer note Jun22 saying that would replace but doesn't seem to have done so. Suggest archival if Co unable to replace.

##Cache Maintenance Required please.##
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit, to address the issue described in the logs.
The cache owner needs to either fix the problem or archive the listing, after picking up any geo-litter. In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page.
See the maintenance section of the [Geocache Hiding Guidelines](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance).

If there is a good reason for a delay in enabling this cache, please post an update note log here on the cache page so that everyone will know what's going on.
When the maintenance is completed, you can re-enable the listing by entering an "Enable Listing" log, and then post an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" attribute, if set.

I will check back in 30 days to be sure that the maintenance has been done, or that further information has been provided.

If there has been no action to repair the cache, or explain the situation, unfortunately I will need to Archive this cache. Caches archived because of lack of maintenance will not be unarchived.

The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.

Thank you

A nice swift find.

The main difficulty was remaining inconspicuous to all the dog walkers passing by!

Heading north this morning with the intention of caching from dianella and surrounding suburbs to kiara and then back home via Cannington and canningvale for a couple of puzzles.

Was a good morning out finding a variety of different containers, never really got into the rhythm of it with so many containers that have gone AWOL and require help from the cache owner, which was a shame.

Good to be back north again finding some numbers as we've just about caches out the southern suburbs.

Thanks for a nice morning caching

Quickest multi I've ever done I'm sure!

Muggle alert! I tried to get my friend into geocaching and now he tells everyone at the park about this cache so this cache is at risk

tftc i had batteries but nothing worked, however i was able to find the cache and sign the logbook.

I'd tried finding this one a couple of times before however the device was not operational and the final GZ was only going to be discovered by guess work. I was passing by today and thought I'd have another hunt. Fortunately I spied a likely GZ straight away and came up trumps. Glad to get a smiley here at last. Would be great if the CO can restore this cache to working order though. Tftc Smile

I really love the idea of this cache! Have been meaning to get out here as it piqued my curiosity a long time ago. some recent DNFs had me concerned that either one or the other aspect was missing. Either way when I got here I found the button at R0gue's coordinates spot on.

Like others have said, they couldn't get that ding-dong to work - I'm guessing flat batteries. Luckily after a bit of searching I used some 'geocaching nouse' and relied on experience to find the location of the final cache. It's all still there, however I think another reason for this not working is water ingress. The other end of the 'ding-dong' was absolutely saturated, although the log etc are in good condition still.

I took the batteries out just in case it gets a bit 'zappy'. So any searchers definitely won't be able to get the 'ding-dong' to work. If I get some time in the next week I'm going to get some replacement batteries. If anybody (matty16, previous finder or other Good Samaritan) reads this log before I do, feel free to try and replace them yourself. You'll need an A23 battery for the button and 3xAA batteries for the receiver. Just be careful with the receiver, it is still wet.

I really love the idea of this cache, I've read that it's not the only one of its type but it's my first. As such, I am not hesitant in giving a fave point. I've also dropped off a TB in the hope that some others head across and search for this cache. It's a good spot with another micro nearby and a lovely pond to sit at. TFTC, matty16.

Sadly could not find it.

05-Jun-15
No luck here today I'm afraid. Using R0gues coordinates I found the first container quickly but alas I could hear sweet nothing when I pressed the button. I wandered around the area dinging the donger but no sound... As it's been a while since the last logged find. I wonder if the final has been muggled, or if the battery is flat? Perhaps the CO can confirm. Thanks anyway.

Couldn't track down the beeper, but still managed to find the final coordinates!

Out for some late afternoon caching with iluvtrekking. Not sure this multi is still as it was intended to be. Found the cache and log sheet but not the 'ring a ding'. Thanks matty16

Out and about getting my daily caching fix in a previously unexplored area.

Just had enough time to give this one a go. Done a couple like this before, love the idea. After eventually finding the button I had a bit of a blonde moment at the final until I figured out that it could twist the other way.

Giving this one a favourite.

I'm looking forward to meeting other geocachers in Busselton at the 'WA GOES BIG IN 2015' event. Registrations now open.

Early morning ride to find this cache. Took a bit of dinging to hear the cache in its tomb. Thanks for the effort you've out into creating the cache matty16.

STF@09:45. You have to be quick to beat R0gue around here...returning from a bike race, called in here for a quick find. TFTC!

07-Dec-14
Sorry olthomas for the late log. I came out before the bike race to find it Wink

FTF at 5:42am! I searched around the listed coords for some time and couldn't find the first container. So then I decided to search along the wall systematically, and strangely didn't find the box, although I should have!

But when I came to the end of the wall I found the first container! My coords for that were: .026 / .245. I've also added them to this log, if that helps anyone else.

So, armed with the Ding Ding I went in search of the box and it was found pretty quickly, along with a blank log sheet. I took the cool FTF gift, thanks for that, it's been quite a while since I've played a live game, must get back into it.

Thanks for the cache matty16!
