Found, bit of a bush bash today. I always say I do my best work off road. #roughride
Went as far as I could into the area but only ended up with blackberries cutting my leg, no cache
The first time I visited this location, I saw the long grass and the water running underneath them and thought "Not in my suit pants".
Today was the first day I was expected to work onsite. With that completed and having an hour spare before a late school pick-up, I went for a well deserved long walk in a different area and to collect a geocache in the area.
This area is certainly different now, and I didn't regret having my suit pants on until I got within 10 meters. With no obvious entry, I pushed thru head first. Not the smartest move after discovering they were all sticky, prickly plants. The cache was then quickly found and signed. Then I was back on the main path and spent a good 10 minutes trying to get the thorns out of my hair and back.
Thanks for the cache Pink Piggy 7

Great idea to hide it here.
It took a while to make up our minds to go in to the Bush.

Ah yes catching up on logs I am afraid... unlike me to almost be a month behind but never the less here we are.
Today's plan or well more so the morning's plan was to grab a couple of caches before I have to go to a meeting for work in the afternoon wonderful. Managed to only do a handful sadly but some are better than none. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.

Great find
Careful of the blackberries and other spiky plants.
Pen is broken, next to come please replace , we didn’t have any

Have seen this one for years but never braved the crossing, we enjoyed a walk on the paths today.
Was glad to find this one dry as the water has been higher the outside container was wet but he cache inside was dry.

Sort of sorry we didn’t need to walk on water which looked like it would have been a bit of fun. No problems with muggles today and cache was spotted without any problems, although I think I had been signing the wrong date on the logs.
Thanks again Pinkpiggy7.

School holidays and some time up our sleeve. Mmm, what to do? Geocache. This park had been on our radar for a while, and having lived in the area about 15 years ago we were keen to see how it had grown.
Doing some of the caches in this area and this was the next on our list. Glad we didn't have to walk on water today - just needed to find our way through some greenery. Thanks for the cache.

We were out for a walk around Berwick Springs and as we just happened to be passing this (i.e. I specifically navigated our way around so we ended up here!) and I stopped for a look. It took a couple of minutes but I was assuming one type of hide and found another. TFTC
A visit to Melbourne to get the cachemobile serviced, and a great excuse to visit family. A demand by our grandson to go find treasures was an easy one to follow. A rather warm day to be walking, but at least we didn't need to get our feet wet. Nice easy find. Thanks Pinkpiggy7

Got wet feet here and apparently we didn't need to. Also got pretty scratched up by the bushes but found the cache so alls well. Have done one somewhere just like this one.
Thanks

A pile of puzzles and Wherigos that we had worked on, but not finished was the aim of the caching today. Travelled on this hot day with Howjen567 to see what we could find.
We didn't read all the description and our maps didn't show the new paths, so we did this one the old way.
Unfortunately, there was a bit more water than we were expecting, and at one stage we sank knee deep!
We did finally locate the cache though.
Thanks, Robmc.

In Melbourne for the mega, and ventured out to pick up a few caches.
Cache located, log signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Pinkpiggy7, for us and others to find.

Last time we were here we had our number plates stolen, all went well today. We completed an AR cache and then picked up the last smiley to clear the area. It would have been an adventure to walk on the water, sorry that we missed it. We picked up the TB.
Thanks PP7! We’ve had a fun Father’s Day day! Time to go home.
Thanks PP7! We’ve had a fun Father’s Day day! Time to go home.
After attending the Father’s Day event, we went off to find a few geos to make dads day. Did a few of the nearby AR caches and this one was near by......after a quick hunt we found the cache. Yay!!
Found. After I completed the nearby AR cache I went and found this one. It took me a while as I walked past the hide a few times before I spotted it, I should look at things more closely. I was glad that you no longer have to wade to this one as it was a bit chilly and I wasn't prepared for that. Picked up the TB to move along. TFTC
The cache title hinted at a wet adventure. Luckily the walk to GZ was merely a fun rock hop away. TFTC and the fun Pinkpiggy7.

Headed out today despite the strong winds to fill a calendar gap. Found an appropriate parking spot that avoided the water walk, but as I approached GZ I thought - not in there! But it was dry and the good sized cache was spotted quicker than finding the best parking location. TFTC
Took a pleasant walk around the wetlands this morning
Pleased to find a regular sized cache rather than nanos and micro!
Cache found in good condition. Dropped off a tb
Many thanx to Pinkpiggy7

I looked at this cache back in “ye oldie days” when I first moved back to Victoria. Only I was constantly cold then. I was the proud owner of gumboots (since the house yard was a mud pit at that stage, something that has also been rectified), but all I could imagine was me falling in and getting wet. It was way too cold to get wet in my view! Somewhat hardened to the cold now, (I say while already wearing thermals this season), I headed back to this cache today, only to discover no walking on water was needed! So this is how some dude way back did it. He installed a secret bridge. I used said bridge, and found a nice sized cache not far off the path. I certainly wouldn’t call it a bush bash to get to this one! TFTC Pinkpiggy7
I had written the whole weekend off after yesterdays weather so when I woke up to blue skies I knew I had to make the most of it.
A pleasant walk to get this one and certainly no "Bush Bashing" required.
Cache in good knick.
Thanks PP7

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

The walk to this cache was peaceful in the warm sun this morning. Having just taken Ana the Geodog to the dog wash, it was the perfect opportunity for Ana to dry off. No need to walk on water either as the paths and bridges have been completed through out the area. On approaching GZ we needed to navigate around some very prickly plants before the real search began. Ana was so happy to be off the trail. Sniffing every surface, every tree, every rock she could get her nose close too. Strangely I wondered if it was possible to train her to find geocaches, just like the drug dogs at the airport. It is then I noted that she appeared very interested in something nearby, something large, something square. A very good sized cache with TB and other swaps inside. Don't see too many like this any more. TNLNSL. TFTC. KkAms
Back again, and widening my search I finally saw it! I did not expect to go bush bashing today but I just had to find this one to finish this area off. I left some swag but took nothing. I also left 2 TB's which will be good for the souvenirs coming up. Thanks Pinkpiggy7, Im looking forward to finding alot more of yours.

I was feeling brave today and thought a bit of exercise and finding a cache would be great. But that didn't happen. Knowing that I could not cross the water, because Ive tried several times before, I thought I'll park on the other side and walk. But I don't know this area, or have the best sense of direction so when I saw only 350m to cache I thought great! I began by walking in the hot sun, across an open field making my way to an island, only to discover its not what I was lookng for, still 200m to go. Back down the hill, across the rocks and a rat jumps out from under a rock to my surprise, naturally I took a flying leap to the other side. Oh look a newly made path I wonder if thats a good sign? Yes my GPS says Im getting closer, Im looking for a path of some sort, seems to be plenty but that damn prickly tree's are saying NO. I kept trying to find my way and finally Im standing at GZ. Wow I tell myself that wasn't so bad it should be easy now. 30 mins later and covered in sweat I asked for help, but no one was there. Took me 30 mins to drag myself back to the car and swear never to go caching in the heat again! This was not my first time here and it wont be the last.
I decided to take the kids for a bike ride and get a few caches on the road. This is such a nice spot away from normal life and busyness.
Removed trail head as the cache is no longer accessible via it, but there are other ways to it. Happy hunting
I had tried to 'walk on water' twice before, but plant growth means that you cant even see your feet let alone the water and rocks. Fortunately a path had been completed on the other side making the approach easy. Finding the cache however took much longer. With the devious council planting spiny acacia plants it was a matter of dodging those and losing GPS signal. I must have gone around the cache several times and in fact only found it when I stopped and spotted it at my feet.
Can I suggest that the cache page be updated? As the trail-head is no longer usable.

Today we explored Beaconsfield and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. This turned out to be a saga as we went to the waypoint and too much water, so we then went further around the lake and there was a bridge over the lake, but not open yet. We then went to the other side and we were caught at another new bridge not open yet Third time lucky, no bridges we found the new path and made an easy find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

On a circuit round the wetlands, this was #13 to be found.
This one now has a path going by, so no walking on water was required. That was good, because there was already quite enough water around that I'd walked on. That said, I had a little trouble locating it diving in and around the bushes.
Thanks for the cache.

This one took us a little while. The area has changed a little so you can access it from the other side. Loved this challenge! Thank you!
With a 3am start at the Geelong 2017 Flash Mob Simsfamilyand Nevile Devil decided to continue on with visits to Werribee, Melbourne Art Centre, FairField, Lysterfield, Cranbourne and every corner of Casey just to have fun with Great company and a few laughs along the way.
We ended up walking on water twice before even getting near GZ. the search took a little longer than expected going round in circles but as always coordinates should be trusted.

Headed across with Papillon4506 and S_38 to search for this tricky hide. Hindsight - shouldn't have worn shorts and thongs. Ouch ouch ouch.
Thankfully S_38 finally found the treasure after thinking with a PP7 brain. Thanks for bringing us here today Pinkpiggy7 - I think.

Walking on water, stomping in mud, bashing through scrub, fighting with thorns, whatever you want to name this cache. 3 of us crawling about in dense growth searching for a cache that could easily be 1 metre away and not be seen, starting to tire I made my way to the walking track (if you call it that) I looked back into the scrub and called "If I was Pinkpiggy I would put the cache right there" bush bashing my way back in for a look, nope but then again I can only see a short distance down here on the ground and I'm sure this is where I would put a cache. Out to the track again for another look. Ok so GZ is about a metre this side of where I suspect, back in I go and the cache is in hand in seconds. The more I geocache the more I learn to look from 20m rather than from up close. Very well hidden and good fun getting to this one. Thanks PP7
Okay, Where do we start. After finding our way into the right area, a fall which surprisingly didn't end up with a swim, displaced footwear, some slippery rocks and muddy water, we searched and we searched and we searched. Then one wise member of the team stood back and said "If I was the CO, where would I hide this". A re-search (for about the #%$& time) and the cache was in hand, signed and returned. Don't want to give anything away but we should have thought about it before we started this search. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache . . . . . . I think.

Following the '10 Months to the Mega - Pakenham' event I took the opportunity to spend the afternoon chasing some unlove around Clyde and Berwick. This neighbourhood is still largely under construction, so the weekend was the perfect muggle free time to drop by. The island looked fairly overgrown as I assessed it from the street, but it didn't inform me of the countless prickle bushes that defend GZ once the water has been forded.
My GPS had a wicked time leading me around in circles through the unpleasant vegetation. Visibility is reduced to just a few meters with all the regrowth in there. Fortunately, I kept being guided back to a certain bush. I eventually looked a bit harder and there it was. The coordinates were absolutely spot on. Thank goodness!
I took the TB, as I don't know when the next visit here will be.
Thanks so much, Pinkpiggy7, for a memorable smiley. I sincerely doubt this one will get muggled anytime soon!
Cheers.

By stepping over the stones, was the Island continental to reach and the cache was easy to find. TB in. TFTC.
Today Fleabag-, GT02 and I decided to head to Berwick to do the excellent "A Walk In The Park" series after Fleabag- got a hint for the final puzzle in the area we needed to solve at a recent event from the CO himself. So off we headed, had a great time getting all the different types of cache and we managed to get every cache in the park.
Continuing our park tour we got to here and luckily there had been no rain so the hop, skip and rock jump was not too taxing.
However, the amount of prickly bushes on the other side was incredible. I toughed it out though and came up with find and then Fleabag- eventually arrived.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Spiffy- Fleabag- and I came to Berwick for the AWITP series and this was en route. Dad aka Fleabag didn't quite walk on water and instead fell in and had 1 wet foot all day. Thanks to PinkPiggy7 for the cache.
GT02 Spiffy- and I headed out to Berwick for the lake series plus a few extras to collect. This cache was executed perfectly on the way in despite lots of prickly bushes causing radmon whimpering noises from our caching party. Cache found and the return journey. I took the lead and negotiated the first rocks then slipped and my foot went syraight in. Wet shoe for me. The others were dry as I had shown then the unsafe path and they avoided it. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache.

Had an Ebay pick up for Tarbit nearby so that means a return to this park to knock off a few more of the great range of caches around these wetlands. This was the second for me of four finds today and first on this side of the water. I parked nearby and walked to the ford. The water was a little deeper than when the CO was here but I couldn't be bothered to go back to the car for my gumboots so I rockhopped across a few metres downstream. Probably not the safest but no problems today. After that it was a relatively straight forward walk to GZ. A telltale dropped pen helped and soon the cache was in hand. I grabbed the stash of TBs to move on, signed log and visited some other trackables. Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7 and this one earns a favourite point from me.

Out and about on the last day of this trip east of the bay with fellow Geelong cachers Suscoe. After lunch we tackled the AWITP caches and made a diversion to practise our balancing skills. The prickles were a bit of an issue, but thankfully we didn't encounter any slithering natives.
Our thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for bringing us to this location.

Suscoe was out and about today in the very good company of Phetlern for an adventure on the last day of our trip over here.
A good bit of planning had gone into the list of caches for today and it was nice to visit each one and work through what needed to be done.
The weather was kind to us as we wandered.
Summer can be such a terrific time when the mild weather is about.
Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for placing this cache here, the crossing went without incident which was appreciated.

Great to find this sort of terrain in the midst of urban sprawl. And, of course, a great big cache casually sitting in the middle of it, safe from potential saboteurs probably merely because of the perceived awkwardness of any shortcuts through this terrain. Nice. Thanks Pinkpiggy7!

We couldn't reach a consensus of opinion regarding the area to approach this from. One member of our party opted for cross country, one opted to drive to a spot closer to a road, and the third decided just to tackle it head on - braving the nettles, thistles and goodness knows what else hidden in the tall grass; fording the stream over slippery rocks (only wearing thongs!) and intrepidly trekking into the heart of the jungle. Of course he was the one who emerged victorious! I have no idea what you were thinking of when you placed this one here Team Crackers but, from the angle from which we attacked it, the terrain definitely deserves a higher rating. Those finders who claim it is easy probably got a helicopter to drop them in to sign it.
Thanks again for a challenging find.

Superhubby to the rescue again. He battled his way through shoulder high grasses & thistles into impenetrable bush, swam through croc infested waters to reach this one. We stood by on high alert in case we needed to call out the emergency services.
Down from Canberra for a MEGA geo-getaway geomission
Today's geomission was to go for a wander to collect the AWITP series and a few others along the way as well
No walking on water required here-the place was bone dry! Did see an Eastern long neck turtle on the wander to GZ

In Melbourne for some training and rather than sit in the hotel room watching tele I went looking for some caches.
This park area looked like it had some good hides and sure enough it provided the challenges I was looking for.
This cache was the first for the evening and set the standard!

Tried but went to the bottom, but the cache is sill dry when found after a walk in the waist high scrub

Lovely evening to be geocaching tonight. Less busy down this area but still had to wait for a couple of dismounted cyclists to move on before making the crossing. Removed a pokemon card that had some choice language on it but unfortunately not before my youngest geoson read them. RZ chose to take the winner medal which he thought was appropriate considering this was our 50th cache. Left a plastic plane in it's place. SL. TFTC Pinkpiggy7
A nice day for a ride on the geo-bike & to find find a cache....the geo bike remained on the mainland though!. Tnsl
Boy did I go on a long walk to find this one. I came across a random path and followed it hoping it would take me to the cache. I think it took me right past it and after doubling back from way down the track I came across the correct ford.
Then the search for the cache began, my GPS has not been very accurate and I despaired I would ever find it.
After a long search I came across it finally, and then hoped I would be able to find my way out. Good hide.

After comments about what had being written on container, walked over to GZ, with a can of magic black spray in the backpack, and gave the cache a touch up. Hopefully no one finds it today or you may have black fingers.
Muggles have gotten to it may need some maintenance but still okwatch your step and you shell fond tftc
Took the challange and walked on water. Not much flowing today about half an inch. GPS took awhile to settle, about 20 mins ! Had a poke around in the meantime. Then back to GPS and GZ was only 2 meters away. Another search for about 5 minutes revealed a well hidde cache.
