In town for my son's Taekwondo comp tomorrow. Arrived early so doing a couple of geocaches near our accommodation. After 20 minutes of poking, prodding, clambering and climbing. Time to give up and move on. Thanks jrlt for the hide.
Realised after a while that I’d found this one a few years back- when the trees weren’t as manicured. Unsure why it wasn’t logged but definitely logging after one of the neighbours called the police and reported a suspicious female in the park staring at trees. Be careful! You’re in full view of surrounding homes!!!
No luck for us here. The lady from across the street wandered over for a chat and said she often watches people looking for this one. She said the council had recently trimmed the trees as the kids were wrecking them.
It was probably still there but after chatting to her and then showing her through the campervan [she is thinking of buying something similar] we ran out of time and had to move on.
Thanks.

On a big round trip, heading up to my sisters in Newman and then across to Karajini Np, Tom Price and then to my Dad's in Carnarvon, to Shark bay and Monkey Mia, to Gerardton and back though Perth to Mandurah. Tftc.
Out soaking up the lovely sun today with a little caching.
Quick tricky find and TCodina made the find! Her first yaaah

Outnabout caching with Wollaston. Gave this a good look but no trophy today.
Staying at my brother's place which is across the road. Now, they were FTF but are currently out of phone range so can't PAF. Will have to try again before we leave. It's a tricky one.
Found on our first full day of our caching trip to Geraldton for the annual International Geocaching Day Event.
We arrived late Friday night, getting in just before midnight due to one of us finishing work about an hour later than planned! Stopping for a couple of simple Park and grabs along the way to keep our caching streak alive and enjoyed a quick feed for a late dinner in Jurien Bay.
We started the day with a bit of a later start after a small caching foray to find the new letterbox hybrid cache in town so we got up around 830 to start the caching day.
We curled up locally and headed around the suburb of Tarcoola, and had a large number of DNFs there, sitting around 40% find rate through the area, which was quite frustrating. We cached around the area attempting every cache on the Tarcoola Map before heading out to Bluff Point for the IGD event at the wintersun hotel, which we knew quite well having stayed there on our last trip whilst heading to the northwest.
We had a great pub lunch and enjoyed a cold beer whilst chatting to local cachers squash2 and reticbob regaling stories of some of the infamous caches around town that they either own of have had the pleasure of finding. Reticbob told us of his and others caches on the Moresby Range, which had only just been re enabled after the property changed hands.
We had to make tracks after the event to get the find rate up so teamed up with Team Ruphace who are from Melbourne but are staying in dongara and cached out bluff point with a significant amount of success before thinking we weren't that far from the Moresby Range so made the call to the land manager (this is a must - please respect this great spot so others can continue to enjoy it) and got the all OK to head to the northern side of the property, with the south off limits.
This would be my favourite part of our caching day, the Moresby Range is simply amazing, a MUST do if you come to Geraldton. Views forever. I won't say too much, you can get here and see it for yourself. Just please ring ahead (read the cache listings)
After the Moresby Range caches we headed back towards the centre of Geraldton where we kept finding cache after cache except for a few which need some serious CO attention. We managed to tick off a few nemesis caches including bluff point lighthouse, out and about erosion, tanked at the RSL and a few others, which was most satisfying.
We bid farewell to our companions after finding twenty odd caches together, which was most enjoyable and made finding it a bit easier with four sets of eyes at most caches.
We had a nice noodle dinner and got prepared to find a few more caches by torchlight around central Geraldton. The highlight of the evenings caching was another trip to the HMAS sydney memorial which is my favourite spot to visit in Geraldton. We followed the map around collecting the answers some of which I knew off the top of my head given my love of history and "the Sydney" we collected the puzzle cache for Cravo10 who somehow hadn't found it.
Overall a big day attempting around 60 caches with 40 finds, in around 12hours. Looking forward to finding some caches along the Chapman river tomorow on our final day of our short Geraldton getaway. Thanks to the local COs for their caches.
Despite the trees having a haircut or a limbcut she's still there waiting for us all.

Out on IGD in Geraldton for the 3rd year in a row with Barnzy12.
We started the morning a little late compared to a usual geocaching weekend however we did only get into town at midnight so a 8.30 start was early enough!!
The morning started with a extremely poor Find rate at around 40% found. We then headed to the Event and enjoyed a pub lunch and a pint of beer and that would see the luck turn there after.
After the event we headed off with Team Ruphace Matthew and Cathy finding around 20 caches with them.
The highlight was following the lead of reticbob and getting the caches in Moresby Range, going through private land that offered sensational views.
Overall a great day out in Gero, looking forward to seeing some of you again soon at WA Goes Big in Rockingham on the 9th September

Patch was in a bit of pain as we searched for this one but all we came up with was a "sad Face" today. Thanks for setting it up anyway jrlt.
We are heading out of Geraldton today but couldn't resist grabbing a few more caches before we hit the highway south. After a great breakfast at Culinary HQ with iluvtrekking we all headed to grab a few more caches. Thanks jrlt
The last day in Geraldon and just time for a last few cache find. Thanks rjlt.
Checked on this one again. It's still there and GZ is more easily accessible due to what appears to be cubby construction.
Yay!!!! Finally!. Thank you so much to jrlt for coming and showing us. What an amazing hiding spot. Suvh cool camo! Glad the cache didnt have teeth or we might have lost fingers. Lol. Thank you so much again.
On our way back home and thought we would try again. Still no luck. We could really use some help with this one. We will try 1 more time in the morning before hitting the road again.
We looked and looked but no success. We will have to try again another time.
Had a look around, but wasn't happy with the dog poo and needles. Don't think we will bother about this one.
We may try this one in day time. It seems like other people have had difficulties. We searched for 30 mins or so
We all had a look around here for quite a while, but no luck. Our thanks anyway to jrlt.
I rolled back into this familiar looking park again this morning.
Ah !! The park with *that* tree !! [:o]
I crawled back in ...
... and not 10 seconds later ...
... had the cache in me paw [:o]
Well hit me with a toilet brush,
and call me Lou !! [:o]
How does that happen.
Yesterday 15 minutes with no idea,
then today wam !!!
A cache flushed out of hiding just like that !!!
Not like that !!

Sat at ground zero for awhile contemplating and looking and feeling around.... No success. Maybe this one needs a hint?
We found a brand new tennis ball much to the delight on our young Jack Russell but no cache. After much searching Ian found what we assumed could have been the "container" - we have a few photos of it and will check with someone who has found this one tonight at the meet up.
Hip Hip Hooray! Went back numerous times and Finally found with a tip from a fellow geocacher. TFTC. SL.
Glad to report a belated find for this cache. After a few attempts finally found it with Retic Bob and Lucky Phil. SL TFTC jrlt. A few less grey hairs now.
Spent 40mins here couldnt find. kids showed up at the play equipment so had to leave to avoid looking like a creep
Grey nomading and caching our way up the middle across the top, down to Perth and home to Adelaide for Xmas. Had a look but no luck today.
We were hoping to have a find today as we've been taking the geograndkids aka paperfreak around to collect caches we'd previously found. This one we hadn't looked for previously and thought some shorter people with good eyes might help. Unfortunately not.
Funny thing about this cache . We have never seen camo like this before, until today , and this is the second one today!! Great camo
The jinta mob decided to head north to Geraldton for the third time to celebrate International Geocaching Day! We grabbed a variety of caches along the way and this was one of them. A great weekend away and we can't wait until next year.
jrlt - jinta29 found your cache Hedonistic Hippopotamus on 14/08/2015 7:33 pm. This is my find #3536 and find #23 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Haha! Thanks to a bit of help from the CO we can put our smilie here!
"You want me to go in there?! Really?! Ok I'll go move out of my way! "
Bingo! TFTC a favourite point from us for an excellent camo!

TFTH!! That Hippo certainly had us hunting. Needed some help from the CO. Finally searched it down.
Our 3rd visit and finally found it, but not without a battle. Armed with some ammunition from the CO and reading some logs from previous finders we thought we would be able to find it. And no we did not . So we contacted the CO again and she was so kind to email us some more detailed information and even offered to come and help us out! Even with that very detailed information we had no luck. While geohubby emailed the CO again that we really could not find it geowife shouted from GZ: "yes, got it". Well it was the spot where we both had looked 3 times and just overlooked the well disguised cache. Very well done and thanks for all your help and keeping us entertained . TFTC jrlt, another favorite comes your way.
Our 2nd time around. Had a good look but we really have no clue now. Time to ask for help from the CO I guess. We will be back
Originally logged a find for this cache but after talking to Jowiba it appears that it was a "false cache" complete with logbook etc. Have now removed my found log and will have to look for the "real" cache again.
Had a bit of a problem with this one at first as the gps would not settle down. Finally got better accuracy just as Mrs S found it. SL TFTC jrlt and Merry Christmas.
Thought I found it and although it was hidden and had a sort of logbook, it looked a bit suspicious to us. So I contacted the CO and they made clear this was not the cache. So fellow geocachers be warned; if you think you found the price, check if it is a real geocache first .
