Mice multi with Graubunden, now her 700th GC geofind. Hint was a bit obscure, so we tried this or that. Used a TOTT to get it onto our hands. TFTC opted-out user
My geocaching spouse SurdiVisio and I had work out multi cache. Found it, it was a bit tricky. Thank you for my 700th geocache find.
Day 2 of trip, heading to Sydney today. Out collecting a few random caches here and there. Stopped here for lunch in the shade of the lovely trees.
I was a little early for work so decided to stop off and see if i could find this one. very cool hide but it did almost make me miss my bus Log is full but if you unroll it alllllllll the way theres some room right by the beginning on what i think is the back of the first sheet. its getting a little flimsy though so roll carefully! TFTC
Only after CIH did I realise there was an easier way to grab it. Great hide. TFTC! (Log is full)
After lots of climbing today we went to this one for a quick solve but a bit of a tricky find as the thing wouldn’t come out. Eventually got it out. TFTC
I love single stage multi's! So when I saw this seemingly easy one on the map with a bunch of favourites I convinced GHHH to join me in the find!
Quickly solved what was required at WP1, and then headed off to GZ. After poking around for a while we eventually found tell-tale signs to confirm our suspicions. We struggled to remove the container though, and ended up needing the use a multi-tool to get a grip on it! This worked a treat and we soon had CIH!
Many thanks for the unique multi!

Very beautiful park and a very clever hide. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache in this beautiful park. A full log, still enough room for another 12 perhaps. FP
I grew up in St Ives and used to work inside the shopping centre. Have been on the village green plenty of times and it’s great to come back and find a cache here.
Numbers obtained without issue and then headed to GZ. I touched the cache almost straight away but couldn’t get a grip on it so moved away and searched elsewhere. Came back and with a bit more fiddling had it in hand. Nice hide! The log is full but managed to squeeze my name in.

What a great GC. Health check ..all good except log is full and cachers now have to write on the back of the log which is sticky tape covered and easily rubs off. Really enjoyed this challenge, thank you
#629. I nice walk amongst the trees to find the bench and then a bit of thinking before I found the cache. A creative one! TFTC!
Such a cool camo cache well made!! Enjoyed the wander through the trees and learning the local history and legacy of Walter tftc
Thanks Walter Cresswell O'Reilly, for your tree loving.
Seems you were a formidable censor also.
Thanks Digby23 for this clever cache near these lovely budding oaks trees.

Solved sometime ago, but didn’t have time to chase it. Today, with more time, I could explore the area with just a few ppl around. Great hide!
Thanks opted-out user for placing St Ives Village Green!

Heading home today after a week away.
Despite the wet weather this morning we went for a little walk after breakfast and soon had cache in hand. Nicely camouflaged.

Great hide. Quite a few muggles around minding their own business. Didn’t pay me any attention as I made the find. Stealth support provided by GeoBaby E. TFTC!
Sadly we did not find it. We looked around many times for the tree and followed the navigation but no luck.
Thanks BindiGuider for your assistance. This one is still on the radar for a maintenance visit when lockdown restrictions are eased.
TFTC Not too many people around however there were people on all the benches. Good one
Second try. The tool was missing last time. Now a lot easier, though tricky to get the log out. Log is full so added a slip of paper. TFTC
A new logbook will be placed in this cache when we come out of lockdown. Thanks for letting me know Daricoza.
Our first multicache. We had to come back a couple of times as we initially couldn't understand the coordinates system.
Then we came back a 2nd time once we had the coordinates figured out, but there were too many muggles around.
So we came back a third time and it was where we suspected it. TFTH.

A nice 2 stage multi in a nice park. Well hidden cache at GZ. Managed to extract it even though I didn't have the most useful TOTT option with me. OCW Brewmaker. TFTC Digby23
Well that was a journey. We made hard work of finding the plaque but got it eventually. Did the sums than headed to GZ as I used a PAF. It took awhile but we finally uncovered the cache and added our monikers. We couldn't have found it if alnic39 had been sober! TFTC
This was my 5th visit here and I thought I would send out a plea for help from the last finder. All I got in return was advice to look for the stone seat. That's what I had done the first time and I had the coords. Today I just decided to widen the search to look for anything that might be something cache-like...and I found a tree that matched the hint, but there was nothing there. Then I widened again and found something that could have been...well...SOMETHING! And it was. You get a favorite point for driving me insane for over a year and today's "Yay!" moment of finally finding it! TFTC
Once again Digby23 you earn a FP from me on a well made and crafty cache! Co-ords spot on. TFTC!
Well, this gave me the runaround.
Trying it after dark seems to have been my biggest error.
First I had significant trouble finding the bench in the darkness.
I found multiple before I ventured further into the shadows, eventually giving up on being subtle and pulling out the good torch.
Finally able to do the calculations, my gps seemed uncertain, jumping back and forth between three quite plausible GZ’s
One stood out, and I fairly quickly identified the out of place thing, however with no obvious hide, I discarded it as a possibility.
Came back after a fair while, with the conclusion it must be it.
Closer inspection confirmed my thinking, but then there was the matter of extraction.
Got it eventually, and now I understand the references to a tool in some of the older logs.
Great construction, really enjoyed the entire evening search, earns a favourite from me.

I came here last year and collected the information for this multi, but could not complete it, no tool. Now it is back in play but maybe a bit easier to solve than before???
I seem to have a lot more information than is required.
After a successful morning working outdoors, its amazing what you can accomplish with the right equipment, I came over here for a quick cache search before the Swans game.
I was surprised at how many muggles were in the park, lots and lots, so I surveyed the situation, sizing up where GZ was likely to be. Right there were that family was playing with a frizbee that looked more like a toy plane, then it flew up into a tree! They were now nicely occupied and I went over and looked at GZ, tried something and had CIH.
Haven't seen that sort of item used for caching before, but then I'm into recycling and reusing so its perfect.

I'm looking after Digby23's caches. I'll swing by and have a look at this one when I get a chance.
I think it is pretty clear that the "tool" is not there to help anyone. Not knowing what it actually is was my downfall. I didn't have a context for what to look for to open. Bummer.
My very tired brain didn't write an adequate log yesterday, so I'm going to try and express my true feelings and experience now!
I don't always try multis because I cache on foot and I'm never sure where they will take me, and still being a bit of a baby-cacher, I've sent myself on wild goose chases in the past. But with Mr Siomiak in tow and an afternoon ahead of us, a short multi didn't seem too unattainable.
After a lovely stroll around the area, all numbers were found. Chuck it into Google Maps, first we got the flying saucer of doom "this place does not exist". Hmm okay the format must be off. Enter the numbers again? Ah no, I don't want to be in the ocean next to Japan. Mr Siomiak works some form of magic and we're off towards the tool, or where the tool is supposed to be. Another short search and we found the home of the missing tool, which, if the tool was actually there, I can't imagine how hard it would be to recognize the camo. Tool-less, but hopefully closer to GZ, we're scratching our heads. Previous finders have said that they struggled to work it out from the tool, how will we cope without?! Ah Ha! Likely hiding spot spotted from tools location! Power walking with pride we turned up nothing. Okay. Back we walk. Expanded search area, and there is the culprit. Using my house keys to extract, soon had the cool CIH, signed, returned gobsmacked, and off we went. TFTC

With no tool, and two very tired brains, we still managed to make the find. Only took an hour and a half!
Despite no tool, and two very tired brains, themonarchmoth and I eventually found this and both made the same 'eee!' noise as we did
I’ve been putting this one off, concerned about being unable to find it with the tool missing, but today I found myself at St Ives on my own with some time to spare, so I thought I’d give it a go.
There were muggles around WP1, and I was very confused by the date-less plaque found there, so I wandered away to give it some thought and ended up finding the plaques I was actually looking for! I went to the next WP and found the home of the missing tool, so started looking around the vicinity.
It was a beautiful morning to be walking around all the giant trees, but after 15 minutes of looking I was ready to abandon my search. Then, one last look at something I had initially dismissed revealed a little familiar marking, and some jiggery pokery with a makeshift tool left me with CIH!
This would have earned a FP if the tool was around - a very cleverly designed multi. TFTC

Third time lucky. Armed with the coords for the final part of the cache from the wonderful cache owner it’s great to finally put this one bed.
Thanks for the cache and all your help.
Note: the tool still looks like it’s missing.

We were in the area for the St Ives Festival on the Green, and brought some children with us to looking for this multi. We managed to find the WPs after a bit of looking around. Got to where the tool is meant to be and it is definitely missing. Given we didn't get the hint we were meant to get from the extraction tool, we then got creative and started searching in the local vicinity for a likely hiding location. In the end Geodad was right on the money. We managed to extract the cache with other locally available tools. Thanks for taking us to such an awesome memorial bench and TFTC!

After much searching and a PAF, Deep_99 and I finally got our hands on this cache, fortunately we were able to extract the cache without the need for a tool. SL #3896 on streak day #2394 TFTC

This was fun, but I seem to have skipped a stage. I obtained the coordinates and did the calcs. Because there were a ton of people playing soccer on the green, I didn't have my GPS and was stuck with the iPhone. The iPhone was all over the place and I couldn't get any sensible idea of where to look, so I just started checking likely spots. Without finding the tool I headed back toward the car, but detoured via a spot where I would think to hide something, and that's where I saw something that I thought was suspicious. With a bit of fanoogling I managed to retrieve the cache container and signed the log in my car before replacing.
I got there, but I'll have to come back sometime to do the step I skipped. TFTC.

This one has been on our list of caches to find for a while. On a quiet Sunday evening we had the park almost to ourselves. Starting off from the listed coordinates we meandered through the park searching for the required numbers. One set of numbers frustrated us, and we had to resort to Google to get them. Eventually we found them as there were meant to be found. We calculated GZ's co-ordinates but couldn't come up with the tool. We expanded our search area, and spotted something that deserved a second look. A closer inspection revealed the crafty tool. A nicely crafted multi. TFTC.

This one has been on my list for awhile now.
I arrived at PC and started my search for the answers.
I sat on the bench and completed the numbers to find WP2.
Got to WP2 and found the tool.
I then scratched my head and thought, now what!
I then saw what I need to see.
Off to GZ. Found the cache and retrieve the container.
I took it back to the bench and sat down and completed the log.
I placed everything back where it came from.
I had an enjoyable 30 min walking around the trees and the park.
This was a wonderful cache and very enjoyable Multi.
A fav point is being awarded.

Wow what an amazing cache. I'd seen this appear as the winner of GOTM and this was on my way to an event. So in drizzly rain I checked out the plaque at the given coords and then went on a walk to find the required items. While I found the bench immediately , it took a while to find the plaque. Once I had the info. I went to find the special tool. Wow that is amazing, what a clever hide but what do I do with it? I turned it around in my hand and was befuddled as I walked to GZ. Hmmm... round and round ..... what am I looking for and what on earth is this tool? So I poked about here and there . Until.........whats this and like magic ... The cache appeared. Just wow. ...... thanks so much for a fantastic cache.

What a great cache. Brilliant camo but not impossible to find. Lots of fun and I got some time in the sun as a bonus on a cool winters day. TFTC
We had to give up on this one due to it being too dark. We found the tool, though part of it was lying on the floor and then went looking for the final cache. It was a too dark though. When we do eventually get it, expect a favourite point!
Got to the green. After a bit of a search, I found all the required numbers and figured out the next WP. Coords were a little jumpy, huge tree cover, before I hit upon something odd. Further investigation revealed the tool with a very awesome camo! Input the final coords and made the next surprising find. Really awesome cache- clever camo, favourite point from me. Cache# 605 TFTC

Found with zedtotheoee, fizzle & gee. We were having a long overdue catch up over brunch at St Ives Shopping Centre and came outside to enjoy the sunshine for a bit. I had a look at the geocaching app and saw there was an unfound Multi Cache only a couple of hundred metres away. I convinced the group to walk and talk, and they joined in on the hunt for the clues. After realising we needed to widen our search for the required information, it did not take long to locate what we needed. With some speedy number crunching, we had the next Waypoint in our sights. I circumnavigated the area a couple of times, before honing in on something which was kinda sticking out like a sore thumb. Bingo! The gang was awestruck at the cleverly constructed cammo! As we made our over to the final location, I spotted another likely article and, thankfully, we were not fishing for a red herring in the end. The rook[ies] felt like kings and queens of caching for a moment, as we performed the signing duties. They were most impressed and I too enjoyed the hunt. Another well thought out Multi from Digby23, Thanks For The Cache.

I was going to attempt this one when I completed HalfPenny Park, The Battle Of Hastings and The Battle of Bannockburn a few months back but it was to of action. Today was the day to attack this Digby23 offering in a park I visited regularly growing up. Tee Ball, soccer and tennis was the reason and after the enjoyment from the mentioned caches above, I was excited and again I wasn't disappointed one bit. Gathered the info and like others did circles and was coming up empty handed until I found something that seemed to make sense. The tool! Awesome! Then headed to GZ which I had walked past and thought I would like to hide something there. Quickly extracted the cache and felt the happiness I had when finding the other Digby23 caches. One to go and Im going to wait so as to not finish all his caches. I do hope you have some others in the pipeline as you certainly know how to encapsulate everything I enjoy about geocaching. Thanks and of course an obligatory FP for this one.
At the suggestion of morty8888, frazeydaze and oldmorty vacated their Eastern Suburbs bunker and marched over to the Northern Suburbs to grapple with the Battle for Bannockburn and the Battle for Hastings caches, and if time permits two other Digby23 caches, Halfpenny Park and St Ives Village Green. Having lived in Turramurra for twenty years, I’m familiar with the area. To be sure we were up to the battle ahead we detoured to Haberfield to hone our geocaching skills by grabbing the Meow cache that frazeydaze had solved a few weeks ago. After completing the first three caches it was now the turn of the St Ives Village Green cache but not before coffee and cake at the village shopping centre and a bit of number crunching to obtain the cords for finding the location of the required tool. Finding the tool had frazeydaze running around in circles and it was up to me to spy the cleverly disguised little blighter. Once I had the tool in hand I assumed I knew where the cache was; oh no totally wrong and it was frazeydaze who brought us back to the vicinity of GZ where we circled before I had a light bulb moment and soon had CIH for signing. I said it before today, however, this is another very innovative homemade cache by Digby23 and worthy of a fav point. TFTC Digby23 and a most enjoyable day hunting down these four caches.
Out for a day in Turramurra and St Ives and having completed The Battle for Bannockburn, Home Tweet Home, Halfpenny Park and The Battle for Hastings, it was off to St Ives shopping centre for coffee before calculating the coordinates to find the tool to use to obtain the cache in the Village Green.
The location is somewhere under these trees. This tree? This tree? Then a cry comes from oldmorty. He stands there with a finger pointing to something unrecognisable. I can’t believe it. “How on earth did you find that?” We extracted the tool and then didn’t know what to do with it. I went back to the description of the cache looking for a clue. Oldmorty headed off looking for likely spot to use the tool. Then it hit me and I called oldmorty to join me, we then headed off to find the cache. Well done oldmorty for spotting the likely location for the cache. And he was right. Thanks again digby23 for a great cache. Favourite point from me. The tool was carefully replaced in correct orientation.

We were up early on a Saturday morning trying to show a muggle friend what caching was about so decided to clean out some caches that were local and unfound.
I remember when this was published but never got around to it, partially because parking in St Ives Shopping Village is a pain and because I don't pass through here as much as I used to.
As it was early, parking wasn't that bad and the required info was found quickly. We made the short walk to the tool and luckily made the well camoed find easily. Nice work!
GZ was spotted from the tool and a quick find was made. All up a nice, quick and fun multi - will have to get around to doing some more Digby23 caches as they're always a pleasure as is Digby himself.
No haiku from me this time - but a really pleasant multi which will be getting a favourite point once I clear out my backlog.
Thanks

Thanks edols01 - I went back to the Village Green today and have nearly completed the necessary repairs. Should be back up and running on the weekend coming.
Tried this one awhile back but at night so where nit able too see much. Came back during daylight and wasnt too difficult to get tge correct some. Once at the correct area just widen our search and wasnt long before CIH
After caching most of the day we stoped into the shopping centre for mid arvo cake.
Once our energy was up we collected the required dates.
The park was quite busy but no one laid us any attention.
Unfortunately we didn't find a tool st the calculated coords but did widen our search to come across GZ
Another great container !!

A lovely weekend afternoon and with a detour from the shops it was time to try for this one. The initial bits of information were quickly found. The maths done and we arrived at a spot that was a bit bare. We widened our search and checked the numbers and decided to PAF who confirmed our numbers but the feature he described was not there nor the tool type. Some more looking and a likely GZ was spotted. Checkmate and the cache was soon in hand. The log was a little soft but ok for a felt tipped pen. TFTC.
It took a long while to find a parking spot, so long in fact we decided to have lunch first and what a nice lunch it was. Then it was time to walk through the park and although it was cold and windy it was still a lovely place to stroll around. We found both sites and moved to the new set of coordinates, where MrsFish was not fooled and found the tool straightaway. Just as well, because I would still be looking. Shortly after, we held the cache with quite a damp log, in fact as I signed it just continued to fall apart. Thanks Digby23 for an excellent cache, very clever and rewarding to find. MrsFish insists it gets our last favourite point.

Now that the multi 'Artie Phil' was back on line again, I could finally drive up to the final coordinates to log my find. But as I was close to St.Ives Village Green, I decided to first do this little multi.
St.Ives is a nice green area, and this park was wonderful and even in winter pretty. The plaque and bench were quickly discovered and as my dog was enjoying herself in the fallen leaves. Finding the neatly disguised tool was not too difficult.
Then it was on to the final coordinates where it was quickly discovered how the tool was to be used.
Unfortunately the cache log sheet was completely soaked, so I took a photo instead.
Thanks for the cache in this nice park.

Found with JJ, this was a really well done cache. Clues were correct but still not easy (by our standards anyway).
I have wanted to grab this cache for about 3 years now. When I decided it was time, it was late last year and it was disabled.
With the reactivation count very low on deactivated caches, I was silently crossing my fingers.
Today, I had a look and there it was.
I came over on my much break, grabbed the tool, made the find and placed everything back.
The log was very wet but everything else was AMAZING!
Thank you Digby23!!

On a very wet and miserable day this cache was bright point. Beautifully crafted tool. Not sure if GZ was meant to have a log book attached - but perhaps the weather had been too harsh this March. TFTC
Hopefully everything will stay in place now. Please be sure to replace the tool correctly. It should be obvious if you have it the wrong way around...
