My finding this cache was more luck than anything else, with a bit of perseverance thrown in.
Doing a short loop around this circuit. I had found a cache nearby and then continued on to this cache. It was a little bit of scratching at a couple of trees and then I saw a little bit of colour to reveal the container. TFTC CCU2014
I just noticed these caches on the map the other day. Today the traffic flowed well and I found myself with a few minutes to spare before I had to be at work so I decided to stop by and have a look.
It's a curious place here. I wonder for what purpose this road was built. Presumably not for easy dumping of rubbish which seems to be the primary way it is utilised.
I parked near the gate and wandered over to GZ. I identified a likely spot and, sure enough, uncovered the cache. The bag has a split in it and the log is very mildly damp but I'd say that's more from the moisture in the air in the past couple of days. Apart from that, all good here.

This was one of the caches we were able to find while we were out and about today. Thanks to Cantcacheus2014 for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
Before we had to leave Queensland after just a brief visit, we decided to pick up some of the caches in the Karawatha Forest area. This was a very quick and easy find and after signing the log the cache was replaced as found. TFTC.
Well this cache took me a little bit longer then it needed to. First off I tried using the phone but it was not being accurate enough so swapped to the GPSr.
It also turned out that I was not hear alone, as I soon heard a rustling, and noticed a snake making haste towards the protection of the long grass (probably worried I was going to step on him) From my untrained eye, it could have been a keelback, but I also could be very much wrong in the assumption.
Anyway this half distracted me from the task at hand anyway and turned out I took twice as long to find the cache while also watching for any other creatures around. But in the end the cache was in hand and my name on the log before heading to the next.

Noticed some muggles on the nearby by road and took me a while to realize what they were doing. Turns out flying model planes was keeping their attention.
After a minute or two we found what we were looking for and were on our way with the muggles none the wiser. TFTC

Some muggles on the nearby road meant a little stealth was needed here. Took a few minutes to locate the cache, and then away we went, with the muggles none the wiser! TFTC
With the day free I made my way to Karawatha Forest Park to turn a few green boxes into a smiley.
Grabbed this one on the way back to the car. Until the GPSr had settled I was going round in circles until I spotted the familiar camo. Signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache Cantcacheus2014

Today is International Geocaching Day.
After the event in Capalaba today I just had to detour via a few caches on the way home ... as you do. [^]
I had detoured this way for a new BIG cache and as I was driving past I stopped for another look for this one. This time the phone had me in a slightly different spot and I soon found the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

After finishing work meetings not too far from here I decided to go and find a few caches before heading back to my hotel for dinner. I was aiming for the oldest cache in Queensland and decided that the entrance to the bushlands near here would be a good place to start and find this cache too. TFTC, Biggles.
I had been out in the park to finish off the Holden series that I had started ages ago. I do not think these caches were here then. The geocycle seemed like the best way to get to these ones as well.
Not too far off the trail for this one. A very quick look around soon revealed that suspicious looking spot.

Brought the dogs all Tuesday from redcliffe for a walk. Looking for a specific cache and realised we were almost on top of this one.
Not sure what to expect after a few days of rain, but all was good here - no even any men in blue here today, Mr Geefer! Was a little disappointed as I made sure I took ID with me Found at 9.45 am on 18th June 2015. TFTC.

Nice one . Still there and in good shape. I had to educate a couple of police in the art of geocaching. One had heard of it but the other had no idea. They were looking for dumpers or druggies - must be the neighbourhood. They still wanted ID just for their logs to prove that they were doing their job.
Arrived today in Brisbane together with Cats&Dragons from New Zealand to have a day out geocaching in the area before heading to the Mega. We had to goal to pick up some geocaches in the park today but due to the rain we were only able to get two. TFTC
Found as part of a short caching adventure before the official start of the OZ MEGA with Slieschke, Yorkshirekiwi83 & Vistra 0n Thursday 17th April. All logs were signed as "3ST"
We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the drive and the caches that we were presented with (learning along the way some local acronyms SPOR which occasionally we turned in to LPOR )
Thanks for the fun of the run and the sights that we saw including a large Lizard basking in the road (swerved to avoid) alongthe power trail.
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

Tough Mothers Monday.Mnance to the rescue. Saw a few walkers and joggers from industrial estate today. Now for coffee tftc
Out caching with Lisylou, Misssusan, Remsjw, Bennyboppers and Jemillalucy. Everyone's coordinates were in different spots. I saw red and wondered if it was there. Then I found it. TFTC!
We'd wandered along from kiaras Christmas cache, we got close to gz and saw a man wandering towards us. We sort of stopped to let him go past before we started our search. Are you a bit lost he asked us, no just taking a break from our walk we said. He stopped for a chat then continued on so we could start the search. A bit of a scratch around and we soon had we were looking for. Tftc
After riding around we had a couple more caches to clean up, and this time we ventured off on foot. Spotted this one as soon as we arrived.
Found on a bike journey around Karawatha Forest with Gunnie69 for a drive down memory lane of ancient cars. Thanks Cantcacheus2014 for the cache!

After a few hours cycling around the forest, Ghostgums and I took to this path on foot, to pick up the couple of icons on the map. Ghostgums got the jump on me and by the time I made it to GZ, the container was already in his hands... Hmm ok, here's a pen then, just ad my name wil ya...
All done, we continued down the path for the next one.
Cheers Cantcacheus2014.

The Eucalypts have just shed most of their bark, and I think made this much harder to find than I was expecting. TFTC
Early Sunday morning (OK it was 8.30am) I decided to go and do cache on my way to the Dark Green Hardware store ( no advertising here!!). This one is close to where I live. Parked the Geo-Vehicle at the cul-de-sac and walked to GZ. Even at this time of day it was hot as. I like the hint however which one do I look at. Took me a while and when this happens I stop, step back and think, where would I have placed this cache here. OK I went back to the 2nd spot and lo and behold it was there, I just didn't look on that side. TFTC Cantcacheus2014.
Mmm, eminem's are one of my favorites and he's one of my favorite singers too.
I had just finished the Holden Series in the forest and grabbed a few extras along the way. I decided to throw the bike in the back of the car then drive around to the dead end road for these two. I had just jumped the gate with my bike when a van came screaming down the road then drove past slowly. The two in the front were checking me out before taking off. This left me feeling like maybe I shouldn't be leaving my car here. The last thing I need is another broken window at another cantcacheus cache, hahaha.
So after finding the cache, which did take longer than it should have, I hung around the bushs like a weirdo just in case they came back. I gave it 10 min, they didn't come back so I took off for the Christmas cache.
Thanx again CCU

It was time to get out of the house and try to work off a bit of the Christmas cheer.
I parked near the gate and checked out the nearby memorial. That looks like it has only been there for a few weeks.
I headed in and wandered around for a while and then read the description a bit closer and had another look in one spot which i had already searched and this time I dislodged the cache. Signed the log and then headed off down the path to the other one nearby.

Out and about on a sunny Sunday.
A quick detour to find a couple of caches before getting on the MTB nearby.
After quick some searching I could not find this cache.
Off to go MTB'ing.

The day before I, Dr Hunting Rabbit, am meant to be leaving Australia and what do I spend my day doing? Geocaching with WTF21!!!
After a morning of caching with Crew153 and a quick lunch WTF21 and Dr Hunting Rabbit teamed up for one final afternoon of caching.
Crew153 and I were in the middle of Glider Forest when the notifications came through. Nothing we could do about the FTF from our location so we carried on. WTF21 and I decided to start here for our afternoon out as these would be the easy hides and a good warm up for Magnesium Drive. WTF21 found this one within seconds of reaching GZ. **FTF** jointly with forbiddenground. We had been to 4 previous ftf's and parked the geotug just behind gesons (forbiddenground) geocar. He had just began to search when we arrived, so we joined in the search and Mrs GT54 quickly found the cache. Love locating your caches Cantcacheus2014, as one never knows what type of cache container you are going to use. It is an element of surprise as we find the cache. TFTFTF TFTC
*FTF*joint with gulliverstravels54 I was making lego with the kids and my phone was singing with new caches locally. I made it to the hide before anybody else, with about 10mins searching Gulliverstravels soon parked up and joined me in the hunt, the cache soon showed itself. we all signed it and placed back and to move onto the next new release cache about 200m away thanks cc14 tftc
