We are in our way South to Nambucca Heads. We like the road less travelled so we are trying to find a cache here and there on our journey. Today after saying goodbye to our friend we are going to Ferry Reserve Holiday Park via Tallebudgera and Murwillumbah.
We needed a walk after being in the car for most of the day. But sadly we think this cache is no longer there.

Sadly did not find it we looked for ages but there was a huge recent flood and looking at the comments and hints it was ground level near a tree so idk
Didn’t find it sadly everyone says it around ground level near the fattest widest tree near the river but there was a recent flood and may have gotten washed away
Finally found it. Third geocache for us.

This is a great track for bird watching. Took my mum here to escape the crowd madness of Xmas and spent quite a while meandering around looking at birds. TFTC
Eadie and Hildie found on 28/8/21. Great hidden location! And amazing part of the river.
Gorgeous day on the GC and nothing to do except print out some border passes and raid NSW for some smileys like CacheAtilla!
Strange set up with a vehicle gate now there and the new fenced camping spot just past the gate. someone must have bought some freehold and requested that the council close the track. Never mind, it was a pleasant walk anyway.
There were two containers at GZ. A newish one hidden and the old rusty mint tin with no log as previously mentioned. We were going to do a CITO but thought that the CO should really do that, so left in place. After arriving back home, it looks as like the CO has not been in the area for 5 years. TFTC king-fisher8

We found two caches at this location 3m apart. The "original" eclipse mint tin had an unusable wet log and the "newer" pvc tube had a log with only a few GCer entries. We placed the two caches together to avoid further confusion.
Met up with the Gold Coast birding group and wandered around Brunswick for a bit. Was parked at the end of the dirt track so decided to stroll down while they decided whether to have lunch. Container found exposed on ground so log signed and returned with a bit more camo.

Had us looking all around and barking at the wrong tree. Log is a little damp .TFTC
Tried for 25 mins in the leaves but no luck After reading about the state of the cache it didn't surprise us......didn't sound like such a cool find
No luck with this one. Owner should probably come and have a look. Might be too hard. Despite this we had a lovely walk through the bushes to get there.
What a great spot. I've been all around this area, but not down here before. I love that geocaching shows us these areas! The cache is damaged and the log unsignable, so I've replaced the container with small black PVC container, and there's a waterproof log and pencil in there too. This spot is worthy of a cache. I spoke to a fisherman close to GZ who was pulling out some flathead from the river.
After a morning cruise on the Brunswick River, it was a short walk to the cache. The Octogenarian found it. The contents of the cache were water logged. Was able to leave a dry piece of paper, but really needs maintenence. TFTC.
Thanks. After a beautiful walk along the river we started searching in the leaf litter and just when we thought we might not find it we saw a stick sticking up out of the ground at the base of a tree and we found it. Much fun! Thanks heaps.
I found the stock previously left by someone else and that helped a lot! I have left it for the next cacher
Log was too wet to sign - I hope the photo of the crumpled and shredded log will satisfy the CO.
Thanks for the cache !

Thanks for the cache !
Good recycling of a container, but maybe a plastic bag on the inside to keep the log dry
This was a very pretty walk along a scenic river, TFTC and thanks for showing us this little paradise, ottowao and animalgirl17

It took a while before i got to GZ as my sat nav was taking me on a stupid route. Eventually I got there, and I parked up and enjoyed a scenic late afternoon walk to GZ.
Once at GZ I saw a small stick sticking up out of the earth and I thought that it would be perfect for digging in the leaf litter. I picked it up and it was about an inch from the cache - what a quick find! I replaced the stick before i left so that may prove to be helpful for future finders.
The log sheet inside the cache had seen better days, and needs replacing.

Searched about 20 minutes and got eaten by mosquitoes. Paper very wet. Needs replacing and cache should be put in a sealed bag.
Nice walk on a sunny day. Log book soggy and needs replacement...sorry didn't have any to replace
Couldn't find it, coordinates seemed out. Found the tree pictured in the hints but no joy
While my wife visited Crystal Palace, I took the dog and went hunting. This was one of the caches we found. tftc.
Checking the area to log some finds today and notice I forgot to log this one, I completed it in Feb 2016. TFTC
After a little confusion we found the start of the walk to this cache, another lovely local spot, almost gave up on this one but then looked at the picture below and found it. TFTC
Saw his one has been missing for a while so as we were passing I dropped off a temporary replacement. Beautiful spot
Drove right down to GZ, what a great place to camp. Soon had cache in hand. TFTC king-fisher8
We walked in from the bitumen but it would be possible to drive in to GZ. It was a delightful walk though with the water on our right and lovely views and lots of shade. Thanks king-fisher8 for placing this cache here. As said many times, we would never have known about this location if there hadn't been a cache there. Cheers! [^][^]
HURRAH! We found it, thank you! Was a little further afield than the original co-ords suggested. We found it closer to:
S 28° 32.109', E 153° 31.962
Such a great spot for a free camp!
The photo shows the tree we found it under: similar to many in the location.

What a glorious place to pitch a tent and camp! Thanks for showing us such a great place
Quick morning find, despite many people camping in the area. Beautiful spot on the river.
Cheers

Found with a muggle friend who soon might be a geo friend! Found a TB inside that was suppose to be in another cache.
What a beautiful part of the world!
Staying at the nearby park decided in a short stroll this morning to find the cache.
Shared the location with a muggle who asked if i was looking for gum off the trees. Asked him if he'd heard of geocaching, he said he'd found one at Mullin once...
Back to the search and found it under a nice ups in a typical cache tree.
TFTC and the early morning walk.
