Logs
Easter Sunday. Another nice day so it was off for a walk the geo dog Southridge Laird of Kinlochaline (Lochie). Today we parked at Southwards Museum and walked to Waterstone Park with the aim to collect some caches along the way. Macfam41 found it while Lochie had a rest. Cache container is in VERY poor condition and really needs replacing sooner rather than later. TFTC
Last of the three along here. The tin has lost its lid long ago, but the log was in surprisingly great shape!---I hired a car to run a bunch of errands, one of which is to solve a bunch of multis in Paraparaumu, ready for collecting on a multi-cache dot-days. So, yes, solved about 7 or 10 and confirmed their hides, but forgot to review the others I had solved here. Probably incorrectly as I had not been able to locate the caches earlier. Oh well, another trip. And of course I got a few finds. Because, well, you know, all work and no play... makes a grumpy seagnoid. And yeah, we don't want a grumpy seagnoid.Rained on and off all day. Light rain, but enough that I had to wear a raincoat for the whole day.
Out for a walk this afternoon and I decided to pick up a couple of the caches along here. The tin is pretty rusty. Thanks for setting this up
Found this container sitting out in the open, so it was pretty easy to find. It was all good inside, but the container is rusting away, so would be good to be replaced soon before the lid disintegrates.I returned it behind where I thought it was meant to be and found something to put on top to protect it a bit. Thanks for the cache! A nice walking and biking track along here.
Taking a stroll down this peaceful track and stopped to find this cache. I managed to walk up to the right spot first try. Everything in good order here! TFTC
Had a bit of time spare (ok I planned it that way) before a show at Southlands and walking this track was on the cards. It ended up being a fairly warm day so was a super enjoyable walk. Cache duly found and replacement is in good nick. Signed and on my way again. TFTC.
On my bike now, and a nice quick find on the way back to the car. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I cruised around today, picking up the odd cache on our journey to Palmerston North. The weather was good most of the day, and the traffic was OK too.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Out for a ride to get some exercise and decided to make a find here on the way past. Easy find of the cache but the log was pretty much - 'nah'. Fortunately was wearing my geocaching sling which had some emergency repair materials in it. Have replaced the log and zip lock bag with a new ones. (see attached photo) Cache replaced as found.
Thanks for placing the cache. Made it home before the drizzle arrived.

Quick find in a likely spot. No lid on container, and log in a fragile condition. Nearly sprung by a passer-by as I was signing. Tftc!
Travelled down to Paraparaumu for some caching. Enjoyed several walks along the shared cycle paths. No trouble finding this one however it’s in serious need of some TLC. Unable to sign the log hence the photo. Thanks for the smiley.
We had to coming down to drop the bike off and hubby wanted to go into the museum to see the lambo, so with the scooter I hit the tracks, thanks for placement. - log is mush and needs replaced managed to get my name on a bit
Easy find while walking the dog, as per previous logs - log not in great condition. Thanks!
Didn’t have GPS going but the phone and hint were sufficient. Cache definitely needs some TLC. The eclipse lid is gone, plastic bag chewed and old caches like paper maiche. Signed a loose bit of paper. Interesting walkway. Thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks Madge Family for placing this cache
I had fun biking around the area and finding a few caches. TFTC

I found an empty Eclipse mint tin at GZ...
No sign of a logsheet so I added one and a plastic bag.
If you are happy with this Madge Family then please post a note and I will log this as a find

Greetings from Washington State. We are on day 10 of our 5 week NZ road trip. Traveling from Whanganui to Wellington today with a stop for my muggle hubby to visit the Southward Car Museum. I knew I’d have at least 2-3 hours to do some caching so I set out walking! This cache is doing well. TFTC
Been a while since we've gone on a hunt... this was a nice Kapiti walk to get back into it. The log needs maintenance as previously stated. TFTC
Nice day so good excuse to get out and pick up the few at the end of this trail that I have neglected to find
Container pretty rusty, and has no lid but log still dry

At Southwards for the Rideforever ‘shiny side up’ day. Nice walk after lunch. Thanks
Found quickly. The container is in danger, very rusty with a replacement log scrap of paper.
After a cruisy morning the lad and I hit the road to make the most of the 1 good weather day forecast for the weekend. Paraparaumu was to be the focal point for caching today as I really had a couple of caches in mind that I wanted to get for their D/T ratings, and a few more like this one along the way.
So having parked up nearby, the lad and I had an easy stroll along the path, amusing ourselves by pretending to be murdering each other any time a train passed.
The cache was an easy find, which was what we were hoping for. Then it was just a case of avoiding the occasional Cyclist as the appropriate log admin was done and then the whole thing being replaced ready for the next finder.

#5929. My daughter is now on a vegan diet and it turned out there was a vegan food festival being held at Southward Car Museum today. Rest of the family came up for the drive and to check out the fair. I am an omnivore. Plus I needed the car as I was giving a talk in Porirua at 2pm. Decided to check out the local caches while I was parked nearby. Wandered down this walkway. Another quick find here. Container has seen better days but new temp log was still dry. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache Madge Family.
Nice pleasant early morning walk. Saw a couple of trains go passed. An easy find and I have put in a new temporary log sheet. TFTC.
Found on a chilly winter cycle trip from the Paekakariki camp up to Waikanae and return. TFTC
A quick find here walking along the pathway. Log has seen better days, but still functional for now.TFTC
Afternoon stroll with little blue hen and the grandkids. No 1 grandson nabbed the cache without putting anyone in danger. Lid has detached but still serviceable. Log damp but managed to dry out enough to add our find. Could probably do with replacing. Tftcsl
my second successful find using google maps to navigate, nice easy find, log a bit damp and may need to be replaced soon?
One of four found along this track this afternoon on a walk with the geohound. Quick find. #1634. TFTC.
Lived in kapiti my whole life, didn't know this path was here. Thanks for the nice easy cache.
A stroll alongside the NIMT.
Soon managed the find.
Cache in order (although lid has come adrift from the body of the tin - some maintenance would be a good idea), log signed, all then safely re-hidden, just as found.
I visited here with team cacher zboy wonder.

Fun bike ride along here this morning, thanks for the caches to provide interest to it!
Thanks for this cashe. we enjoying a peaceful lovely ride along the railway track waving to trains .
Not many places to hide here and clearly the cache is not beyond the fence as the GPS was trying to tell me! The rusty container is missing its lid but the log is just fine. TFTC.
Hubby and I caught the train from Waikanae to Paekakariki and cycled back home via Te Ara O Whareroa, new M2PP shared path and Waikanae River. Grabbed a few handy caches along the way. This was find #5. Log in good condition. TFTC
Thanks for the cache. This is our find number 663 and we found it at 2:50:12 PM NZDT on 10 February 2017. Found while walking Neo the Geocaching dog.
I had no trouble finding the cache, but extracting the log to sign required dislodging the slug that had moved in! Otherwise, all in order.

Morning caching in Kapiti area. Easy find after a nice little walk before the shower of rain. Thanks Madge Family for the cache.
A quick easy find, although the cache is of course micro, not small. The lid is missing but the log is dry. TFTC
