Logs

A playday with TeamOaky was organized and the main objective was to do the kayak caches along the Acheron and Goulburn Rivers.

This cache was the main attraction today, as a rescue mission was at hand to save a TB that was stranded in this unloved cache. The river is full of strainers at the moment so passage is quite difficult if traveling by kayak. On arrival at GZ it was TO again who quickly scampered up the tree first, this time I followed closely behind. The log is wet and covered in brown rust, the TB is in worse for wear condition and it's spread through the inside of the cache. (Attention will be required to replace the log with a dry one.
Names were added non the less and we departed quickly for the next destination down stream on the Goulburn.

***@11.30 PM Cache # 1319***

###Who is up for a TB rescue, Where I asked?###

***“The river of woe" came the reply, Hmmm I’m in***

*We bumped into our friend the local fly fisherman again not long after setting off on our perils journey to Styx. I think he was quietly impressed we had made it this far, he then offered some more valuable advise on our future quest further down river. We said our goodbyes and he wished us safe passage as we trespassed into the land of the Gods where so few had gone before us, onward we go towards Styx and the golden prize of unloved
Once more we had to climb over as our passage was locked again but after this obstacle it was simply push through remaining barriers until we reached our goal. A straight forward climb was all that was needed at the end to claim our prize, unfortunately the three headed beast Cerberus had beaten us here as his vile drool was all over the , without access to the support vehicle a replacement will have to wait for the next poor soul to stumble into God forsaken place*

*Thx Clever monkey for this awesome adventure*

***Note to CO the container here is of substandard the Gods are unhappy. May I suggest replacing with the awesome type we were lucky enough to encounter late in the day, a much more fitting offering to the Gods***

La ringrazio molto il mio amico

Luckily I was with Clever Monkey when this cache was put out, as this one would be quite an effort to come back to! Thanks for a great day, and a memorable adventure, Clever Monkey Smile

{ftf} This cache took me well out of my comfort zone. What I did right: got up at 3:00am to get my first ever ftf, choosing this cache for my first ftf, beat Bananas by several hours (suck it up b's), caught 3 small rainbows on my second exit. What I did wrong: forgot pen so had to retrace the whole journey, dropped snail TB which will probably slow any further progress considerably, took ftf on this cache too way too serious. This log edit was inspired after meeting bananas in person. Thanks Clever Monkey this time..... Love your work.

That is where you go to die.

This is Styx according to Legend where the Acheron is crossed.
But B2 was the Ferryman today as the coins were loaded into our mouths hoping for a safe return to the land of the living.

Taggerty, home to B2's father some 60 years ago was the place where the adventure started. A cool river on a hot day and it should be noted that this should be called "Sticks" because of the number that were found during the voyage.

In addition to the half swallowed coins a pen had been taken because of course the bananas were after some treasure to sign.

Well the gods must have been pleased because the bananas have safely found the treasure and live.

But what an effort when only on safe return would B2 no longer worry about the possibility of death............. Here.

Thanks.

Love this game.
