Out in Thredbo to go snowboarding for my first time ever. Have had a couple riding days and now that the group has quiet down. Ive had a chance to go out this morning to find the caches here. This is a nice trail that I wouldnt have noticed if it wasnt for the cashes. All of the fines were well hidden due to their camouflage. Once I found the first set the tone for the series, saw a deer and Lake along the path. Thanks for the caches.
Number two, quick and easy, had to stop for muggles passing by return OK cache in good condition
We are in Thredbo today. Sooo much warmer than yesterday and Im in my thermals . Unfortunately I have a migraine so no chairlift for me today. I had so looked forward to the walk to Mt Kosciuszko Lookout. But lots more time now for caching.Find No: 1997Replaced log. Thanks wing6rider for creating and maintaining this cache.
Day 4 - Adelaide to GC9PNFB - Capital GeoBash Mega - Canberra ACTToday LB and I had a very relaxing ride on the chairlift and an enjoyable walk to the top of the hill, but because we were going steady, steady we didnt get the opportunity to ride the chairlift to the bottom of the hill , and so we had to walk/slide down the service road which was lit up by the full moon that popped up over the opposite mountains . The things we do When we got to the bottom we decided to follow this trail to grab these last few caches, even though parts of our bodies were complaining !! What can I say, just a couple more caches and well call it a day By the end of the day we had walked 25km and our knees, ankles and feet certainly knew the distance we had covered!! TFTC wing6riderKeep smiling
While some of the family were throwing themselves downhill on bikes (and having a blast), Ma Kettle decided a walk was in order. With caches to find, the Pipeline Track was the perfect choice. This was the fourth of the 6 successful finds. Had to wait for some muggles to wander by before extracting the log to sign. Thanks for doing the work to hide such a lovely series of caches.
Found by The Empire + HEmbracing the vibrant summer energy of Thredbo, we found the town abuzz with the excitement of mountain biking enthusiasts. The familiar whirr of bike wheels and the laughter of riders echoed through the alpine village, signaling the popularity of this exhilarating outdoor activity in the warmer months.Thredbo, typically renowned for its winter sports, had transformed into a mountain biking haven as the snow gave way to lush trails and alpine landscapes. The village square, once a gathering point for skiers, now bustled with bikers gearing up for thrilling descents and scenic rides down the mountainside.Colorful bikes adorned with dust and mud leaned against storefronts, and riders clad in their gear discussed trail choices and shared stories of their mountain biking escapades. The sense of camaraderie among enthusiasts created an infectious enthusiasm that permeated the alpine air. The eucalyptus-scented air filled our senses as we followed the well-maintained trail, and the occasional shade from the towering trees provided a pleasant respite from the sun. The Pipeline Trails accessibility became apparent as families, casual hikers, and nature enthusiasts shared the path, enjoying the simplicity and beauty of the alpine environment. Thanks for the cache and their fun series wing6rider. -M
Trip with the geowife was on the cards this weekend, plan is to summit Kosciuszko for our 3000th find. First night camping at Thredbo Diggings campground, then onto Charlottes Pass for the 7 hour round trip to the summit. Dropped in to Thredbo on the way through to finish off this series I started earlier in the year. Had a bite to eat at the car park before starting this nice little walk, all caches found in good condition. TFTC!
1054 for the tribeOut caching with RockPaperCannon + 1x unidentified cacher who has forgotton their caching name after their previous single cache. There is still some snow up there on those peaks and didn't we feel it today. A beautiful area to stroll around. The caches in the pipeline trail were all in great condition. Some of the logs were getting full but we found places to scrawl R + T, RPC + 1 on all logs.Thoroughly enjoyed the brisk walk around Thredbo and particularly enjoyed the pipeline trail today. Thanks for going to the effort of working with NPWS to place this series - that must have taken some time and effort. This was just what we needed after a long journey here.
Thanks for this great series. Took an afternoon of skiing to walk this trail. Didn’t even know this trail existed until today!
A family holiday in Thredbo and whilst here I took advantage of the convenient caches around the village.
This was the second attempt at this cache. I had been early a couple of mornings ago, after heavy snowfall and assumed that the cache was buried .
Subsequently i bumped into some caching friends from Qld who advised me i was looking on the wrong side of the path.
So with a little time this afternoon, i headed back to the pipeline trail, and discovered the three remaining caches. This was the second, and i now recognise the hiding pattern. Great stuff.
All is good with the cache and log sheet. The pathway was deserted today. Thanks very much for placing this trail for our enjoyment wing6rider & Crystal Warrior. Cheers

River Ankh, the lifeblood of Ankh-Morpork, flowing through the heart of the city like a muddy serpent with a particularly bad attitude.
CaptainVimes and I are on a driving holiday from Melbourne to Canberra this week. Our hike had to be abandoned due to the weather so we did this walk instead. Thanks for the fun wing6rider
Number one (#6) was easy, number two (#5) was easy, now we were motivated to find the other four ones. Number three (#4) was easyly found by us as well. Let's go to the next one!
Thank you for the cache!

Day 3 of the Jindy Jaunt. After our expedition up the mountain yesterday, there was still an hour left on the NSW park pass, so we decided to head up to Thredbo for a few more caches.
The Pipeline Trail was a nice walk along the Thredbo river with some nice views. Each of the caches was found.

Found with sharkiefan
After walking to the top of Mt Kosciusko today, heading back to Jindabyne for an event then having dinner, you'd think I'd want a rest. Well I got my second wind (or maybe fifth) and seeing as my park pass still had time left on it, we headed back to Thredbo.
It was dark and now the night life was out so the drive was a little slower.
We got the info for the multi then, under torchlight, went for a walk along this track and gathered up all oh here.

OCW EverestHigh and Martin Cousins. A relatively easy find after caching and hiking around Mount Kosciuszko. TFTC wing6rider & Crystal Warrior!
With our usual caching buddies doing an extreme walk today, fitzy_1965 & I took it easy.
We even enjoyed a sleep in which is usual on a caching trip. Once we got going, we headed out to Perisher and picked up an oldie and some AL's.
Next we stopped in Jindabyne for morning tea then continued to Thredbo to do this walk. It was so lovely and cool walking the trail. All caches where found quickly and easily.

29,929. Found with minniek during our Kosciuszko Expedition Weekend caching around the Snowy Mountains.
After a sleep-in (a what??) we headed out from our campground to grab a few caches - not many during a fairly relaxing couple of days touring around Perisher, Thredbo and Jindabyne itself. This was the next on our list, and this little series of 6 caches looked interesting. We parked at the BBQ area near #1, and started our walk - which was short enough to do both ways back to the car. What a lovely walk. Great views, cool, shady with a breeze in most areas. Overall a nice time. All 6 caches found without any problems. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next one.
Thanks wing6rider & Crystal Warrior !!

Spending some time in the high country to take in some of the many wonderful bushwalks, and finding some of the last remaining caches in the area for me. Until there’s more!
DAY 3 - A fantastic walk along the river in the evening. A band playing in the distance. What’s not to live about an evening stroll in the mountains. This cache was a quick easy find, and cache in good condition.
Thanks so much wing6rider . And for getting me out and about, and for highlighting this spot

Hot afternoon here in the mountains, a walk along the stream in the shade was most welcome. Thanks for placing this short series in a great location.
A family were picnicking across the river, so stealth mode was activated, signing done behind the tree, and then quickly replaced. Tftc.

Day 10 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives before continuing south for a loop around the Snowy Mountains.
After spending last night in a hotel in Thredbo, I headed out this morning just after sun up for a walk along the Pipeline Trail to pick up these caches. 3° outside and a thick frost on the ground - definitely the coldest we have encountered so far this trip. Luckily I was rugged up enough that it was still a comfortable walk along the trail, with some good views of the surrounding mountains. Due to the cold conditions the artificial snow makers were working flat out, getting a jump on the upcoming ski season, and making quite a racket. A good thing we weren't staying in this part of the village as I don't think my wife would have enjoyed her sleep in with all that noise. TFTC

Thanks for the cache!!, Checking out some places at thredbo for some future hikes up to the big mountain. And saw this little series trail going on, so i had to follow. All caches are in good condition unless otherwise stated!
Tick thank you for placing these caches for our enjoyment. Lovely afternoon. TFTC!
Should spend more time looking whilst walking. Just hanging there in plain sight
Again 6m out, but we trimmed around and there it was.
Seems clues must have been removed by CO last week.

Avery nice little trail for a short afternoon’s walk with the family. Cache was easily located at GZ, thanks.
The most challenging part of all this is trying to write my name. It's pretty dang cold!
Crystal Warrior walked the trail today to check on the series. We replaced all the bisons with what we hope will be more waterproof. New logs and ready to go!
My son was on a camp and while he was riding, I was caching. What a lovely walk around the lake. TFTC
Found on my afternoon walk on my first visit to Thredbo. Took a bit to find at first, but once I knew what I was looking for I enjoyed it more.

Had time to kill and went for a stroll along this trail finding all the caches. Came across numerous mountain bike riders, a small brown snake and lots of rabbits. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

So after making the hike up to the summit for the CITO and to make the collect on some of the other caches along the way, Joolay, isopeda and myself took the chairlift down to meet up with barb2e and Kittykatch to grab the pipeline series.
All caches were quick finds and we worked out the answers for the final relatively easy enough. Nice little wander around the place with the ladies but omg my legs and feet were soooo sore from the hike on the mountain!
Logs signed JC "Jindycrew" to save space as most logbooks were full.
Thanks for the hide, wing6rider

Barb2e, Isopeda and Specimen X and I were looking forward to getting these on this trip. Anyway after climbing to Mt Kozzie with Specimen X and Isopeda from Charlottes Pass and coming back via Thredbo chairlift we were pretty much broken but this was in our sights and we pushed ourselves to get it done. Lovely walk along the river. Thanks wing6rider & Crystal Warrior for keeping us going.
