The trig's gone [:(!] Well at least the nice big trig that I could stick a cache one has gone [:(!] All that's here now is a marker post [)] So cache gone too [xx(] apologies to those that searched in vain
Not sure if the cache is missing or not but I can confirm that the "black tie" mentioned in recent DNF logs does not have anything to do with the cache. It is a standard magnetic nano type cache.
Found a black tie lying on the floor with nothing attached. Could this be part of the cache? Nothing else but a bucket full of rubbish here. Sorry.
Found it today on a beautiful day, not to hot and only light winds. We visited Cape Farewell and walked from there over the hills to Wharakiri Beach. Beautiful walk! On our way back to Collingwood we looked for this little one and were lucky.

Took me a couple of circuits before I spotted it. Great view across the bay from here. TFTC
Driving past - thought "I bet there's a cache there" - checked the phone and sure enough! Was blowing a strong wind there today but the cache was hanging on fine, for a nice quick find. Nice one Biggles. TFTC.
This weekend us capperz are over the hill to Golden Bay and celebrating. It's our wedding anniversary on Friday followed by my 50th birthday on the Saturday. So we looked around for a decent place to go for the weekend and the potential of this beautiful area won out (this time). Only grabbed the one cache on the Friday night (there was much drizzly rain and poor visibility) trip over the hill(s) so there was much anticipation for what was next. Both the Saturday of my half-century milestone and the Sunday were bathed in golden sunshine and the temperature was perfect; neither too hot nor too cold.
Spotted this trig as we drove back towards Takaka and I thought it interesting, and unusual. mrs capperz encouraged me to check the G P S and yes there was a cache here. Parked real close and the cache was soon in hand. Also spotted a stingray swimming alongside us just afterwards as we drove along the road.

Having a Collingwood caching weekend.
Time to head north this afternoon.
A short walk and grab.
I really don't understand trigs placed in places like this.
I must give it a google sometime.

Fair number of birds resting close by. Very glad to stop and see the spit from here. NINO TFTC
We really needed my wee cachelet to have a sleep this afternoon as he was really tired. We headed off on a wee ride after dropping of the rest of the family. We headed West and kept on driving until we ran out of road after hitting Farewell Spit and the wee man woke up we grabbed a few caches on the way back to Pattons Rock. Nice park and grab I was a bit surprised as there was a blank log. I checked the logs and I wasn't FTF!
Thanks for the cache BigglesNZ.

Found on our holiday to Takaka. We drove from Takaka along state highway 60 to Cape Farewell Spit. It was found on our drive back. quick park & grab. it is really small & I found fitting the already full log back into its place. good to see a good, old fashioned trig. also logged the nearby waymark. Find #113
Found with Dr. Davis & Scr0tum, unable to write on log as it's entirely full. Please replace.
A quick trip to Farewell Spit and back for some most excellent caching. Thanks for the hide!
Really pleased to sign off this cache today as its predecessor was MIA when I last visited and then archived. Not much room left on the log so squeezed our names in alongside SoBad. Sorry Biggles neither of us had another log with us today otherwise we would have replaced it. TFTC #8638
Thanks for placing the cache. Quick evening find before heading home for dinner.
Staying a few days a Collingwood while K does a weaving course. On our way to Whakariki Beach today. Decided not to extract the log as it was swelled and I doubted I could get it in again. TFTC!
We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 20 - on a cloudy and windy day we went to the Pupu Springs, a group of large and crystal clear springs, sacred to the Maori people before going to Farewell Spit.
At this narrow sand spit we had a pleasant walk over hills to the beach - miles of sand as far the eye can see!
We finished off with a coffee and a delicious muffin at the café.
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro–Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.
On the way to Farewell-Spit we passed this place, but we had to wait 2 hours for low tide before we could grab this one.
Greetings from Germany.

Just home after our Golden Bay camping trip from the Marlborough Sounds. It was not a caching expedition but we did manage one or two . We were travelling with our camping group who, although not cachers, joined in the fun. Our travels brought us to your cache – many thanks, BigglesNZ, for bringing us to this spot. We’ve had great fun all the way.
On holiday at Motueka and having a ball.
Very nice area.
Log book full, needs replaced.

Look carefully! There wasn't anymore space for signing my name. Next time then.
Tricky Good hiding spot. Unfortunately there was no more room for me to write the date.
Staying the night at the rest stop. Some tenters got told to move on by a local. The luxury of having a motorhome that is self contained. Cache was a quick find. Tftc
Quick find on a blustery afternoon while staying near by with my sister and brother in laws. TFTC
#10274. Last find for the day. Trigs always make good locations for caches. Only one of the four legs is still properly embedded, so this trig may be on borrowed time. TFTC.
We drove past on our way to the spit and noted the location of the trig station and the nearby parking for the return trip. Didn't take long for StreetWalker to find the cache. Pretty sure this is the first trig I have found so close to the sea - and judging by the scouring of the foundations, it looks like it's in the sea at times.
The last cache of the day and time to return to our accommodation nearby. Thanks for scenic tour of the area, Biggles, we have enjoyed our day. TFTC.

Grabbed this one on our way back from a short walk out to Wharariki Beach on a very windy day.So we didnt hang around long .Back to the caravan at Pakawau.
On tour with Del84
As we left the region we wanted to get some caches on the way. So as we drove by we went for this one. I looked and looked but didn't see it. Luckily Del84 was there as well and spotted the smallish cache right away

Find #2431 while on a 5 day tour of the Tasman area. Returning to Takaka after a day out on the Cape and Spit. What a unique location for a trig parked high and dry with it's foundations exposed, testament to the erosion of the beach. SL TFTC
On Tour together with Sabe73 as Team "TheBros" around South Island to visit some nice spots.
We also visited this location and could find the box almost quickly.
Thank you for showing us this place and of course for the Cache.
Greetings from Carinthia/Austria.

Tasks for Log-Permission (Earth, Challange, Virtual aso.) might be delayed.

A nice little find. Good to have the reborn cache after the original was one of our first finds.
On our tour through New Zealand we visited many inspiring places, enjoyed delicious meals, met friendly locals and tourist AND found some Caches.
So this Cache was one on our trip. Thanks a lot for hiding and maintaining.

A quick stop on the way out of Farewell Spit. Had to use the Motorhome as a screen to block the view of a muggle while we did this. TFTC!!!
Just stopped by on way back to Collingwood from wharariki and cape farewell. Great location and view back to Abel tasman. Unable to sign due to lack of writing implement but many thanks!
Found it during my trip from south of South Island to north of South Island.
Thanks for this cache!:)

Dad and I were giving Linda and Mike from the UK a tour of the bay today, started off with a short walk up to the Abel Tasman Memorial then around to Tata Beach and over to Wainui. Doubled back through town via the deli for a drink. The next stop was the cafe at the base of the spit, where we had lunch before heading to Cape Farewell, and then home. TFTC (1638)
We stayed for 3 days in Takaka together with Athosandros. Today we made a trip to Farewell Spit. On this tour we found this cache.
Sorry for the late logging but the internet connection in our motels was very unstable and bad.

A quick easy find at this low lying trig, with the water in the background very choppy now. TFTC
GZ was occupied on the way in to Farewell Spit. It was clear on the way back, so stopped and spent some time looking for a wee blighter. Success, and on the road again.
Found over Waitangi Weekend in Golden Bay. A great spot for caching.
Thanks for the hide.

Took a bit of searching but I got there in the end. The bay here is amazing! Thanks!
It very much was sea level today with the base of the trig just covered in water. Lovely warm water that was such a pleasure that we paddled our way back towards the car. No problems with the cache - it must have dried since the previous log mentioning it was damp. Not surprising considering the lovely weather we were having. This was also our turn around point today.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Late logging (sorry). This was one of many found with Rincewind3 (husband) and NZGecko (daughter) during our summer holiday in this beautiful part of the country.
We'd supposedly stopped caching for the day, but Rincewind3 had mentioned this one on the way past this morning so I made the call to stop the truck on the way home. He didn't complain about "just one more".
