MrMagoo72 and I were down this way killing some time before we had to head to the airport for our final flight home. Arrived at gz ok, but I was thrown a bit with the word "opposite" in the hint. Luckily MrMagoo72 doesn't rely too much on his poor eyesight and he soon came up with his catchphrase, "is this what you're looking for?". TFTC.
Im on my way home to Brisbane from the Dunedin Mega where I had a great time. I had a few hours between flights so made the most of it - walking around the area finding caches. Quick find, logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc
I'm running a tad behind on my Bakers Dozen challenge this month (50 caches per month for 13 months), so I needed some quick fire caches on the way home from work tonight, since today is the last day of the month. Thankfully this cache was a quick find, even though it was dark and I was searching by phone torch light. Thanks for setting this one up.
We were staying at a nearby BnB for our last night in NZ after a fabulous month traveling the South Island. We had some time to spare so headed out to find the nearby caches. Its a lovely street and we enjoyed looking at the gardens and houses. Thanks for bringing us here silverfern7.Sorry about the late log, I have only just realised I hadn't logged them yet.
Having solved a bunch of mysteries over the past couple of months, including the night before finding them. A spontaneous trip down was made by Kiwi Does Stuff and team Reschedule to collect some Canterbury caches. We have headed out to set ourselves a personal best for a days caching. The perfect caching wagon (a rental car) has been acquired allowing us to go anywhere with ease. All of the caches have made for an enjoyable weekend to remember and resulted in a solid and best days caching.Apologies for the generic log, all caches signed are a mixture of Res, Resch & Reschedule - a big thanks to the CO for creating, placing and maintaining all of their caches. TFTC!
Nearing the end of day 2 of our epic Christchurch trip, a few caches near to our accom to wrap the day up.
Had to wait here for a while due to a family walking along the footpath on the other side of the road. They kept stopping and taking photos of the leaves in the trees. While we waited we looked across at the large house being built opposite the cache. It's huge, you have to wonder why anyone needs a place that big.Anyway, once the coast was clear, cache was retrieved, log signed and all replaced as found. tftc#7231
I decided to head up Hawthornden Road and do this trail today. A lovely day for biking and a road I haven't explored yet. Thanks for the caches and for bringing me to a new place. This one I found fairly easily thanks to the hint, at first I thought it looked tricky, lots of possibilities, but actually it was easy.
Found this cache on a little stroll this evening. Took a little while to find ourselves but got there in the end! Pen ran out while logging it so see pic for reference ) tftc
I am Visiting Chch to see relatives etc and during the day i can have the car and visit a few of the caches not too far away and this set of three caches seemed ideal for a trip to this part of town . I was amazed how busy the street was and i felt rather consoicious stopping along this road but no one seemed to notice except at the last of these three where a pair of muggles and the dog were walking and they walked past me when i was parked at the first cache and i thought i had best wait until they were well past no three cache before i pulled up again near them and then hunt for the cache .All three were easily located , signed and returned to their placement . I took nothing at any of them and left nothing . Thank you for these three caches along this road .
**Day**Doing a tour in and around Christchurch by bike. Nice and easy going on the flat terrain. Just had the webcam cache as main target and doing a lot of tradies and labs along the way. After a while the idea came to make this my day with the most different cache types found. Unfortunately I could not see an event for today but other than that I found: tradie, multi, mystery, lab, webcam, virtual, letterbox, wherigo and earth. That smashed my previous record of 6 and set the new record to 9, very nice! Thanks to all CO's for a lovely day of caching!**Cache**Quick find, tftc!
Visiting from Ohio, USA and spent the day geobiking my way around Christchurch. Found this one entirely by feel.
Found it! Trying to park my car near #4, I massively overshot and ended up by this one first, then ran back to the other. TFTC!
Easy find on a windy afternoon, a few metres from home.
Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2586)

Team G0LD: Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ are down from Whangarei for a few days. We've all solved the 4 big geoarts so they are the main target for the trip. Of course there were many other puzzles solved as well which filled in the 24th. The 25th was the Smurfs and Fresh Breath. 26th was Rattle and Horses. We certainly made a great dent in my solved puzzle list but I'll still have enough for another trip.
As Pete said we weren't going to pass up any trads along our route and these four all looked very close to the road and seemed like potentially easy finds. It was indeed a quick find at gz, thanks

Team G0LD ( 0B80B8, Lis's crew & DaffyNZ ) on a caching mission to Christchurch. We had travelled down from Whangarei yesterday, so today was our first full day to get into it.
Solved puzzles were going to be the main focus of our trip. We had spent a lot of 2020 and 2021 solving over 400 puzzles, so we had a lot on our list. Thankfully the weather looked like it was going to play ball today, as caching in the rain is always just that bit harder.
We weren't going to pass up any trads as well though if they were handy on our route and these four fitted that bill. A nice quick by Lis with good hint TFTC

Another quick find here, with my partner as driver this trail are easy park and grabs with the big 4wd as cover
Again, a nice tidy cache- thanks for placing and maintaining them

Found it TFTC, and whoever finds this geocache next is very awesome and cool!
Another step towards completing this mission. Had my eye on this series for a while so its time to pick some up! Tftc
On a rather cold windy morning, one last holiday in memory of good old QEII, thought I'd get some in. Here's to Liz, long live Chuck the Third.... Got it in the end. More behind the black structure, in the Ivy, under a stone. Cheers
The cache container was gone, so I replaced it with a new one. All good to go.
Happy caching!
Happy caching!
The container is gone following the works nearby. Will replaced as soon as possible.
Will come back. Beginning to think I’m very bad at this. I’m only a beginner I’ll keep trying
Out with busy paws to collect a few caches. Interesting info on this Hawthornden area. Thanks for this cache silverfern7.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
Tired, tired, tired! Four days of early morning and late night caching can knock the stuffing out of you... We decided to take it easy today and focus on some city caches - And maybe finish with some Adventure Labs for good measure. It's Sunday - a day of rest... No problem with this hide - Found exactly as hinted. Thanks silverfern7 and TFTC.

After puzzle solving in the Canterbury region along with EyeSpyBen we were invited to join Fap (from Fap & Gap) and Squirrel Nutcase to a week long caching adventure in the Canterbury area. With flights and accommodation booked were off, all met up in ChCh. and many hard dusty Kms travelled and many caches found, I think the Squirrel has said it all in his brief. Many thanks for the placements and Cos for bringin us to the very pleasant areas we travelled in to your region

Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.
Yes, isn't it great that it seems to be safe to be out caching again. I'm in my happy place. Thanks !
This cache is disabled due to the COVID-19 situation and alert level 4 in NZ to avoid the cross-contamination and to encourage people not to travel.
Any 'found' logs following 28 March will be deleted (unless your find is back dated).

We searched immediately at the base of a prominent object, and had the cache in hand in no time at all. TFTC!
Visiting Christchurch from Wellington for the weekend and have a few hours to spare, so a caching I will go. Quick find here almost as described, log paper is starting to get a bit frail, TFTC
Ran out of time to keep looking. Didn’t see the rocks referred to in hint! Tons of ivy though.
I parked the car and walked around the city. I visited the earthquake memorial and the beautiful botanic garden. The huge botanic garden had so many things to see. Some places were without people and some were full of them. I enjoyed this day and the city a lot! I had to give the car back today and I was sad. Thanks for all the wonderful caches and the people that look for them!

The original container has been replaced with the new one and is ready to be found. Hopefully it is more obvious.
Cache is still in place. Search the base of the post to the right of the grey telecom thingy.
We searched all the way along the fence and couldn’t find it. Will try again next time.
Will have to give up on this one. Co ords aren't helping. I've checked the base of structure all away along in front so perhaps it's behind.??
We didn't manage to nab this one today. We felt quite exposed with plenty of people walking, biking and driving slowly past. Had a poke around and mentally marked where we were up to so we can resume the search another day. There are quite a lot of places to look that match the hint.
#17132. Needed three finds today to get up to 20 for May 7th. I had planned a long lunch time ride, but the weather was drizzly so I decided not to stray far. Another cache that had had a couple of recent DNFs, so I thought I'd check on it (and sign the log if it was there). And there it was! TFTC.
I decided on a mission to the Avonhead Park area today to grab a few caches. I ended up with eight including two puzzles and a multi so it was a pretty good day.
After much searching along the fenceline I had no luck.

It took quite a while to find this cache,, not hidden quite as we expected, although the coordinates were in fact pretty accurate. TFTC
It was much easier to spot in the light! Found in a few minutes. Very happy to turn this one into a smiley! TFTC
Just another go at this after a very helpful nudge. No problems finding it with a break in the grotty weather today. Nice and quiet to search. TFTH
