Third time here with geo kid and finally it all fell into place. Very nice hide. Fav point from us. Tftc
Mr Dromaniax drove Mrs Dromaniax to work today and, after completing a few chores in Melbourne, headed out to keep working on getting the appropriate number of finds in LGAs that we need to increase our finds in.It was a stunning day. The sun was shining, there was a light breeze, and it was pleasantly warm. Perfect for caching. We had a delightful walk around the lake, picking up the Traditional caches and completing the Adventure Lab.Days like today make you glad to be alive and Geocaching. There were birds all around and plenty of kids playing with their parents. We quickly found a cache in excellent condition. Thank you, 80degrees, for this Traditional cache.
Thanks for the cache! Took a couple of mins. Needs new paper in a few more finds time.
Nice weather to walk around the lake. Found it and good hide. Thanks 80degrees for bringing me here and the cache
I seem to be making a habit of visiting the northern suburbs when needing some exercise in the form of a walk. This time it was Coburg as I started at Edwardes Lake Park and walked down to Coburg Lake Reserve. I was joined for part of it by nirgalagrin who got in some desired physical activity, performed some cache maintenance and found one of the handful of caches he hasn't found in his 5km zone.My logs will include this standard blurb and then a comment or two about each cache separated from this blurb by a dividing line. Many thanks to the the COs for putting out the caches found during this walk. ----My first search was somewhat hampered by a muggle couple lying on the grass some 10-15m away. I did not make the find. Returning after dark with nirgalagrin I came up with the correct concept and he came up with the correct location.
Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. Thanks 80degrees for the cache.
Yeah, this one almost got me. Wasn't where I thought it would be, and I'm not ashamed to admit that this took me a little bit longer than I thought it would. Great hide!
Whilst completing the Adventure Lab I cam across this one. Loved the hide. Very clever!TFTC
Domani all'alba partiamo per l'Australia... Hihihihi Thanks Owner
Find number twelve for the day, i was visiting my daughter who lives nearby and we decided to take the geopooch for a walk around the lake. Its a lovely park and was certainly bustling with plenty of muggles enjoying the sunshine. This one had me searching for a while but eventually my daughter made the find, a clever hide, it deserves a favorite point. We sat on the lawn nearby to admire the water views and have a cuppa but were soon heading off and completed the Ad Lab as we went. I had a number of non geocache related things to do in the northern suburbs today so of course I added in a little caching fun for the trip as well. I ended up making nineteen finds before i decided that i had had enough of the hot and humid weather. Sailing History -The Boatshed is find number 3,314 for me. A great micro traditional cache I enjoyed finding as part of my caching fun in City Of Darebin. Unless otherwise mentioned above, I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign. I am logging this one on Friday 5 Jan 2024 at 6:41 pm but i found it at about 11:30 this morning, the weather was already getting hot and i was feeling hot and sticky. Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy 80degrees.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Quick find. We liked the sneaky hide. A few muggles about enjoying a lovely afternoon.
How long will I search to get one find after 2DNFs? Apparently a really long time. But I got there in the end. Now I know this with is a 1.5 difficulty, ehat I was facing at the other ones. Which is why I didn't find them, but still enjoying myself, thanks.
Very clever hide, log signed and replaced ready for the next adventurer to find. TFTC
Stink came with us for the first time today. Quick and clever find, he might be hooked.
Awesome hide. A couple of young muggles hanging in the carpark but apart from that I managed to find. Just note that there is a similar one that has a spider egg sack in it. Not to be confused for a cache! TFTC
Another cache collected on the commute to work. With only a spattering of muggles around and a few pokes, the cache was soon in hand. You always know it's going to be a clever hide with a 80degrees cache.
After quite a bit of searching, poking and lifting we finally found the cache. A most ingenious hide. Well done! TFTC
I failed to find this on a previous visit, but today I returned with some knowledge gained from a friend, and found it immediately.
Thanks 80degrees.
Thanks 80degrees.
That was a random Kick-Ass find I looked in heaps of little spots I had the little mirror out checking underneath everything so then I just stopped had a moment to myself looked around and thought no it would not be there but I had a look anyway and surprised myself with the find thank you so much for the placement of the hide

A call was put in to Snips and Co and we devised a plan to head to Edwardes Park Lake for the CITO and Cache of the Year nomination events. So we headed here early knowing there was an Ad Lab to do, and a handful of caches to find on the way around the lake.
The weather was clearing a bit now (it was just after 10am) so we were able to search without impediment from the weather. Which was a good thing because we were initially stumped. I hadn’t been systematic and had stopped just short of making the find. I started helping Snips and Co over at the tree, then I thought I’d better finish where I was just looking. Bingo, clever hide.
Thanks for the placement, the accurate coords and the maintenance for our enjoyment **80degrees**. Cache on ??
**The Cache:** TNLN, signed log as LTEC or Let Them Eat Cache as space would allow. Replaced as found and good to go for the next geocacher.

In between the CITO and Cache of the Year award nominations, JupiterPearl, spiffy- and I set off to find the caches around the lake.
We looked up down left right and all around... I had an idea from something that I had seen last week at the London mega but it didn't pan out... I mentioned it to JupiterPearl and he tried but in another spot and sure enough - there was the cache!
as we were leaving HorrorFanJM and AlphaDeltaIndigo arrived. We assisted them with some 'hot' and 'cold' guidance and hurried along towards the BBQ lunch
thanks for the clever hide.

Oh dear! Was I the only one to fail here today?
I'll be back for another attempt.
Thanks anyway 80degrees.

Thanks anyway 80degrees.
We were at two events nearby, so we decided to do these caches. There was a horde around ths clever hide. Thanks for the cache.
As per the previous cache, this one was also missing on our last visit back in the end of 2021 but did not search nor DNF as it was obviously not there at that time. Today, nice to find the previous one that we had to walk past. Our 17th cache find in this park, with the first way back in 2005. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Love your hide fav as much as I do. Found your cache and signed the log at 80 degrees. Thank you so much for placing it.??
Another 80degrees special hide today.
I was with Kristyadventures and Spiffy - was it the tree , the steps , the wall , the ground. I came up with the goods after Kristyadventures asked me about something she noticed- had seen another like it. I’m giving it another fav for a good sneaky hide. We were soon joined by others as there had been some events on today in the park. TFTC!

Ooooh this one was a bit tricky, lucky for me LTEC was on a roll and her cache sense was strong. While I was looking in the wrong place LTEC happily discover what we were looking for. Thanks 80degrees, really enjoying our walk around the lake.
I had come to [Edwardes Lake Park](https://www.darebin.vic.gov.au/events-and-facilities/parks-and-playgrounds-directory/edwardes-lake-park) today in order to attend [GeocachingVictoria's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=5381f41f-c082-4a07-a4e5-9610ef6949fe&wid=88cb1d30-3b86-4f74-88c0-1d821fecee2a&ds=2) [Edwardes Lake Park CITO (GCA69WH)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA69WH_edwardes-lake-park-cito) event and the [2022 Cache of the Year Award Nominations & BBQ (GCA69WK)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA69WK) event.
However, with the [CITO (GCA69WH)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA69WH_edwardes-lake-park-cito) ending at 12:30, and the [BBQ (GCA69WK)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA69WK) not starting until 1:00, I had a bit of time to kill.
So what should a cacher do with a bit of time to kill.....
Cache of course! I decided I would try and work on the nearby AdLab and find a few caches along the way.
Well I ran into [AlphaDeltaIndigo](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=0ba730b9-9e40-49fd-8cda-13d33706860b) at the [CO's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=def24f7d-b860-469f-9924-b920c15bf5b7&wid=be9d3fee-01c5-4fdb-a77c-200fae96bb57&ds=2) [An A2 Engine (GC2FY36)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC2FY36) and we decided to team up for that cache and the rest of the ones around the lake.
This one was our fourth stop of the day and as we arrived at GZ we ran into [jupiterpearl](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=936ccf8b-4612-4dd6-b767-a9469613f0ff), [Kristysadventures](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=2025b6ac-6591-4990-a921-bd242af298ea&wid=6ff934b1-7571-43dc-a6d3-a7ce2489fcc4&ds=2) and [spiffy-](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=f684a53b-20de-42b6-b93a-078093aaa6ec).
Well with [GeocachingVictoria's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=5381f41f-c082-4a07-a4e5-9610ef6949fe&wid=88cb1d30-3b86-4f74-88c0-1d821fecee2a&ds=2) [2022 Cache of the Year Award Nominations & BBQ (GCA69WK)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA69WK) event. about to start we were in a bit of a hurry and got a hint from [Kristysadventures](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=2025b6ac-6591-4990-a921-bd242af298ea&wid=6ff934b1-7571-43dc-a6d3-a7ce2489fcc4&ds=2) to narrow down our search.
With the search radius narrowed down it made for a much quicker find and just as we putting pen to paper, we ran into [CeeJayDenno](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=6aec6fa8-399b-441e-ad92-eb35c594ac7c) and [PrezDough](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=004d17d9-6e9f-4879-9b3c-9aaf67270dab).
As an introvert, normally I do all my caching solo, so it was a crazy experience to be caching with so many people, out side of a mega!
A big thanks to [80degrees](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=def24f7d-b860-469f-9924-b920c15bf5b7&wid=be9d3fee-01c5-4fdb-a77c-200fae96bb57&ds=2) for all the fun today! It was great to see so many cachers out today. TFTC.
**Cache Maintenance Status**
The cache container was in excellent shape. The attachment mechanism still seemed strong and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

What a sneaky little hide this was. Not sure if I would have found it if I wasn't for the geokids?
Further on our AdLab hunt, we stumbled upon this one and made the find conveniently with JupiterPearl, ADI and horrorfan in attendance. Perfect timing as they were tucking it away on our arrival. I suppose when a nearby event is on, these caches draw everyone in.
We soon added our monikers and off for the next treasure.
The cache, container and log are all in excellent condition.

Found today after CITO and Cache of Year event. Enjoyed a stroll around the lake wit Surefoot24 and Cathlud. An interesting hide sussed out by Surefoot24. TFTC
Third stop on our circuit of the Lake was The Boathouse. It is quite picturesque on the side of the lake and, for an unexpected sight. This cache was quite tricky to find. Three of us searching in an area that really didn’t have many options for hiding a cache. I discovered that something was movable, but it didn’t hide anything. A bit more looking along that line and I soon had the cache in my hands. Thanks for the fun.
Checked this one today to find only part of the cache. Replaced today so all good to go.
Hello all my fellow geocachers!! Sadly, we think this cache has been destroyed/ruined. We did not find the container but we did find a ripped up piece of the log. Hopefully it can be restored soon x
Out for a good Friday stroll, must have had my cache head on today, found this cute hide quickly.
As Bunadoorian and I continued our walk around the lake - I found this well hidden cache. TFTC and for bringing me here - 80degrees.
Heading to the CITO event at Coburg, I thought I would leave early and collect a few geocaches. However 6 am clearly was not early enough as it still took me 2 hours to get here. Only got 2 geocaches before the event, not as many as I wanted. However 1 was an DT in an Earthcache that I needed.
Buzzing from the delicious coffee at the first event, I drove here and quickly worked out some Way Points for the Multicaches here. Then it was time for the CITO. Amazing what can be achieved my a number of geocaches in just 1 hour while all having a great chat.
After the event I came to this area, which is in a LGA that I need more geocaches in for a challenge.
Listening to a Geocaching Podcast helped me with this one. Very nicely done. Could have taken along time otherwise.
Thanks for the cache 80 Degrees

At first I visited the area without success. Then after I left, I coincidentally bumped into Auzzie_Taz while walking around the lake and we ended up finding this one together. Ended up having the right idea but happened to execute them in the wrong location bc my gps was a bit off Auzzie_Taz got it in one fell swoop and we both signed it Very ingenious hide, gave off a MasterChef vibe!
Thanks for the fun and clever hide!

Out and about in Reservoir today just grabbing a few caches before heading home. I had to search for a bit then I thought like a geocacher and found it. Great hiding spot and very unique. TFTC
Away for the weekend with friends and decided to walk the lake, this one had us stuck for a bit but soon the prize was in hand, thanks for placing this well hidden cache
TFTC! 3 December 2022 4:24:23 pm 4236
Found it after a quick search. At least in the shade as the sun is so hot!
I ended up visiting the area today to pass time while my partner attended an event fairly close by. As I approached GZ I realised that this might not be the easiest, but for once I was on the same wavelength as a CO It ended up being a quick find, which was a nice surprise. TFTC 80degrees. I enjoyed my wander and caching today.

It's date day again, and we're doing something a little different today. We're trying to hit up caches in a range of different Local Government Areas.
80 Degrees? This one had us turning 360 and more. Here, there, under that, up those... nup, nup and nup. Then SueHut had a brainwave... Ta da!
Thanks heaps for the cache, 80 Degrees!

Oh that’s brilliant. Haven’t seen one quite like it and nearly gave up. Got a little desperate and started putting my hands on everything. Then, voila!!!! Very sneaky hide. A fav from me
The howling winds delivered some hail as we arrived at this location. We surveyed the area and soon saw something interesting. A search of similar objects soon revealed the cache in a very good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. The hide earns a favourite from us for its simple yet secure hide. Thanks 80degrees for the cache.

It was interesting to learn about the history of Edwardes Park Lake and the various community groups which have been connected, over the years.
This sneaky little cache has quite a connection too -- 8 years in place!
