Found the gc but I can never get the paper back in nicely so I will only log this one on the app this time
I have the week off work done have come up to Taranaki for a couple of days or so for caching, tracking the Forgotten Highway and hopefully finally knocking off the E174 challenge that I signed some years ago.After getting capped up the road I thought I'd try my luck here. Took a while to spot - that is tiny!All good here and TFTC.Find #6523 at 19 March 2024 9:55 am
Its Leap Day! So trying to get as many different types today for my stats. I needed a trad for my trad dot day anyway so decided to come try this one again as its near a puzzle I wanted to get. We all jumped out of the Ute, I went one side, GigiEV went up another way and Mr Muggle went to the spot and spotted it instantly..of course he did!! The tiny blighter was soon signed and replaced. TFTC
Second time here and Dad found it for us thankfully. Probably would have taken us awhile if not at all if he wasnt with us TFTC
Nice quick find signed as Woo as no space for full name in a nano!!TFTC 2 Bulbars, #919, 2 January 2024
It's December, and to help me achieve one of my Geocaching goals I need to log 300+ caches this month, which means an average of ten a day. Today I am making my way south from Oakura in the Taranaki to home in Wellington. I spent a good part of the morning in and around Hawera finding a number of the caches that were available.It looks like some have had trouble with this one, but I did not. The coordinates took me to a good looking area with a lot of options, but the cache appeared in front of my eyes at the very first place I looked (maybe second). I had more trouble returning the log paper than anything else. All good here.---Thanks to 2 Bulbars for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge

Auckland Anniversary: We needed fair weather to smash out our big caching plans. We were hopeful that Taranaki would turn on some sunshine today and it did. In spite of one heavy downpour in the afternoon and the threat of thunder, we managed to stay dry and in the game.
Normanby: Despite contacting the CO and the previous finders, this was a definite DNF. We found the seat, but not its occupant. We searched the ground carefully in case it was brushed aside. No luck for us.

searched and searched for this cache.
nothing to be found, rang previous logger who confirmed we were at right spot.
CO also confirmed this but no cache.
perhaps a nearby local has removed it.

This one was initially a DNF for us but with a little extra information from the CO, we returned and located the cache lying on the ground. Signed and returned to where CO had advised it should be. TFTC

No luck for me here today although it looks like the area was recently upgraded.
Wow .I would never hv come to this wonderful place otherwise if not for Geocache hunting. Took while to find it so was good. Nice cache thx.
Dnf I don't like leaving dnf but after 30min looking with GPS showing 0 mtrs then started raining I gave up
Couldn't find it. Though, we are total newbies at this so maybe that's why!
Heading to Opunaki she watch our bestie sing in a show and thought it would be rude not to get this and the other nearby,

TeamBOP are together again for the long weekend. Philip.Perry, McJandals,NZFlossy and myself are heading to New Plymouth and surrounding areas caching.
A plan was hatched recently to hit the Naki area this long weekend. Nice to get away and grab a lot of our solved puzzles and ALs plus others along the way. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

On a weekend trip to Taranaki with some of Team BOP. Always lots of fun on these trips targeting cache trails, solved puzzles and high favourites. Thanks to all the cache owners TFTC
Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Taranaki with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else in between
Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.
I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

Ok had to drop by the dead centre. Things a bit wet here. Cheers .
Day 4- Tuesday 17 December. Hawera district today.
Running around the Hawera district today in Toby, while Zara rests up. Checked Manawapou viaduct and Nowells Lakes.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Ugh. Cache all wet and slimey. Not surprising, it is a below ground cache. I didn't note if we replaced it or not - so probably not. Interesting area though, fixed up the map to mark the memorial in the right place and woohoo! Maps updated already! Sometimes it is sooo quick!
Day four of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is Hawera - it's going to be a slow trip!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!
***[======== NZ Mega 2020 ========](http://nzmega.com)***
Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

My last cache this afternoon and after a quick find I was able to find people that were buried here that is linked to the cache called '[Forgotten Monument (Taranaki)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC742KC)'. A well maintained cemetery.

Another quick find that surprised me when it turned out that I had looked in the right spot first time
You do need to be in indeed - see the hint to understand my comment. A beautiful spot and well looked after. TFTC Signed Team IE
Heading south on state highway three and had a dot day to fill. Being a weekend I wasn't pressed for time so I took a five minute detour to look for this cache.
Cache was located fairly quickly and then logged followed by a wonder over to the memorial to see what it was all about.
Cheers.

#9607. A leisurely Sunday drive to explore more of Normanby and its surrounding areas. The local farmer was herding his cattle along Pikituroa Road when we visited. Once they had gone past, GZ was again all quiet. Relatively quick find. Good hide. The log book was a bit damp, but still ok to write on. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Took a bit of hunting this one! A great hide! Not the nicest day for caching but we managed to find and have a walk around in between showers. TFTC!
Another summer visit to locate the unfound caches and turn them into smilies. And now for another type of hide, nice one here found with the helpful hint TFTC.
I grew up in the Naki so am doing a road trip to visit friends and grab caches. Can't believe I hadn't been here before. So historical and peaceful and full of rabbits. Great info and photos for my travel blog. Muggle friend very proud of himself as he found the brilliantly sneaky little hide. Thank you so much for the great experience and cache.
O not our way to new Plymouth for Christmas with the in-laws stopped here on our way through,tryiing to pass through bulb are country unnoticed nice quick find here thanks for the cache and smiley
A quick easy find of a nicely camouflaged cache, which gets a favourite from us. TFTC
Thanks for yet another clever cache 2Bulbars

Pulled up and then moved the car into position in an attempt to give shelter from the biting wind. Didn't work.

Not the first couple of places I looked but got there in the end the rain is about to start with the couple of drops I felt, so soon had the cache signed and back in its home. Tftc
Nice spot to send - had a good look all around after the quick find thanks to the clue!!
