After a busy afternoon of caching and an evening event during IGD weekend we headed out for some night caching. The showers didnt deter us. We were going to drive up but when saw the humps and washout walked the hill. TFTC.
Today is international geocaching day and we are celebrating it in Toodyay with several events put on by the West OZ Geocaching community. Out caching today with team adinache with the plan of finding all the solved caches along the Toodyay Goomaling road. Then back to town for the evening event and a bit of night caching. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining all these wonderful caches for us to enjoy. Nice views of the lights of Toodyay from the cache
Find 6 of 15 on the Sunday morning of IGD, dodging the showers and trying to get to 20 for the day to hit our 13000 milestone.Stomped up the loose hill - great views up here, and almost certainly we would have missed the relevance of the bunkers down below without this cache to show us the way. A definite favourite point. Only got slightly - ok, completely - soaked on the way back down to the car. At least we had proper clothing on for this downpour.TFTC jasenjanine!
Puff pant - woohoo I made it!Love the history here and wow what a view!Heres a fav point Many thanks jasenjanine for placing this hide for me to find and adding to my adventures.
Back into Toodyay today for a 2nd day of IGD fun, great event last night with a bunch of other like minded individuals, travelling in with Kyzabra and meeting up with Granett, today's caching plan was to hit up the challenge series and anything else we could fit in between the events and tonight's drive home. This cache made the tight list. _______________I found geotrakkas huff n puff________________Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache jasenjanine you help make the game what it is today. AlliedOz
I had time before heading to town for dinner. I took a walk up the hill. Scenic view! TFTH***Day out in Toodyay for IGD!It was nice to meet and greet some familiar faces during the events and throughout the day.Thank you all the COs who have put out many caches to find. Weather was interesting but not too bad
This is why we still geocache. Hidden spots like this that I would never find with it. Def worth a fav point and while I gather my breath, Im writing my log. Well done guys. Its IGD weekend again this year we are at Toodyay. A pretty hectic time at the moment so was only able to get up here for the day. Left home early and picked up Allied Oz on the way before meeting up with Granett in town. we had a rough plan of what we wanted to do during the day but as per usual plans will change. This was one of many we picked off during the travels today. A good mix of traditional Multis, puzzles and challenges as well, obviously the many labs around town. Many thanks to jasenjanine for placing and maintaining Rifle Range Reward. I was here on Saturday and this is my find 11543.
Nice drive in here, beware you need a 4wd as the track has washouts and drainage. Great view from up here.
A scrambled find by headlamp in failing light. We should have got here earlier to enjoy the view.
Cache is in good condition

Full time nomads stopping in Toodyay for a while.
With all the rain of last night and a busy week, we decided to have a day at home solving puzzles in ACT!
Lunch in town then we decided we needed to work off lunch so made our way to this cache. Interesting history here. Near GZ but not at GZ there was loads of biting flies so we were glad to be on our way.

while out on our geocaching adventure with the squad we stopped by here. Only Little Fox went up and he couldn't find it but there was broken black plastic around the area. Not sure if that was it or not. Beautiful view from the top. Our inner circle joke is spot the Yowie in the picture. (Little fox is 6"3.5 or 192.5cm) his advice wear a hat and sunscreen during summer he cooked his head at the top lol.
What a great cache! So many projectiles to find too. And I liked how the cache was placed in a tricky spot. Adventure overload. TFTC
Following a great overnight in Chittering for the IGD2022 L1.77 and myself headed towards Toodyay for the bakery, grabbing whatever cache were around town. Busy day here today with the great weather.
We almost bypassed this one, but luckily decided to take the drive up the track. Wonderful view and perfect spot for a cache!

Up in Chittering for IGD2022. Picked up a host of new caches that keep attempting to spoil my nice clean map. Thanks to all the COs that have placed caches ahead of this event.
What a fantastic cache. Drove up the track from the road and then trekked up the steep hill for the final cache. A fantastic view and interesting location with the rifle range. Add fav for the all round experience. Cheers jasenjanine!

Out and about again, last part of IGD22 weekend, out with the Cockburn Crew vacuuming up some more country hides.
Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

Found after engaging mountain goat low range! Cache and log in good condition. Found with Redrobbin25
Well I felt like a mountain goat but great views from the top and sent Geo kid off the edge to find
Great walk around even though we got lost a little on the walk as I must have missed a marker

A great little hike was rewarded with a spectacular view…and a geocache. Thanks for the adventure
I wasn’t sure whether driving was permitted here so I walked from the tourist precinct caches to be sure. I followed blue and then red triangles which was a change from the hundreds of orange ones I followed along the river for much of the day.
Sometimes I look around at events and see all sorts of shapes and sizes. People at events sometimes comment on my physique….which is ironic since it takes all my willpower not to comment on theirs! It’s these 1km up and 1km down hill walks that help keep obesity at bay in my otherwise chocolate addicted world. It rained the entire way up and the entire way down. For my reward, I was gifted a $10 and later a $5 note partly buried in muddy soil. Woohoo! Of course, I was also rewarded with a 200ml sistema which I dutifully signed. I’m not sure whether there’s ever a view from GZ; sadly nothing but misting rain today.
Thanks for the hide.

Checked on this one today & found the cache where it should be. I am guessing the last log was added to the wrong cache listing?
Happy hunting

Gps showed 2 m but it wasn’t there. A new fence has been built and many rocks appear to have been moved making if difficult to find the right crevice.
Bit of a climb but well worth it. Magical view, and we saw some kangaroos too.
Great historical site.
Great historical site.
Thanks jasenjanine for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Barnzy12 getting a few smily faces.
Amazing views. Great spot. Enjoyed the hunt.
Had a great couple of days away travelling the Wheatbelt. We got as far north as Beacon, as Far East as Elachbutting Rock and as far south as Kwolyin.
We spent the first night af Elachbutting Rock with Geotrakka and the second night with around ten teams at Kwolyin.
We metup with Richlink to attempt some high terrain caches near Mukinbudin, where multiple people was a nescessity for safety purposes.
We enjoyed travelling the backroads, camping under the stars and seeing amazing sights without all the people.
Great weekend away and have uploaded a bunch of pictures with the logs.
Thanks to the COs fat and wide for their caches and a great weekend.

So out on another Geocaching weekender with Spatial Riq, this time off to the Northam for the 2019 WAGB. Great weekend picking up nearly 70 Caches over the two days. A great variety in the area....
Took the 4WD to within 60 meters of GZ, so we only had to scramble up the hill and grab the cache... great views from the top !!!!

It's WA Goes Big day!
After checking in to the event, The Machman and I set off to do several more geocaches around town. Quick stop for lunch then beck out for some more in Northam before heading home to Perth via Toodyay.
What a great place for a cache. Drove to within 100m then up we went. Quick find once up top. Great views here too. Have a fav point. TFTC

Overnighting in Toodyay, my first time here Arrived earlier in the day and pitched the tent and unloaded the basics. Plan now is to pick up the caches around town, then head back to camp for a well earned vino and cook dinner Tomorrow take a long walk along the Avon River picking the various caches up along there from my campsite to the cemetery. This was one on my walk / drive this afternoon and boy it was a good one. I could have driven in closer from the water tanks with the 4WD but decided it would be nice to walk in with the geohound. I kind of underestimated the distance and climbing required on this hot day though, lol. Still I eventually made it up to the top, perhaps with a little huffing & puffing, but definitely worth it. Loved the views and nosing around the old rifle range. My favourite thing about geocaching is it takes you places you otherwise likely wouldn't know about or see - and this was one of them. No problems with the cache either - a nice quick find once in the right spot, and everything a-ok. A fave all round for me! TFTC
A slow walk up the hill. Great view at the top. Found signed and replaced. Than sat and had a rest.
After doing the newly published cache nearby the better half and I came down to this reserve to do a GCA cache and I decided against the better half's objections to take the 'track' up to this cache whilst in the reserve.
We slowly took the walk up the hill to GZ from the track and made a quick find of the cache. After signing the log we had a rest admiring the views and then made our way back to the car.
Thanks jasenjanine for the cache and another excellent view of the area.

Last cache for the day...what an adventure. Took the long "scenic" 4wd road with a few back ups! Eventually found the spot and managed to get to the hide with out slipping or having a heart attack!
Found the cache pretty quickly only to be bitten by a wrotten little black scorpion! Thankfully the container landed on the rock and not half way down the hill!
Signed the logbook, still swearing and cursing over a pretty sore finger.
The view was fantastic! Also managed to get back to car safely.

Well it’s now day 18 of our LGA gathering plus just basic enjoyment trip with m4yb, Jonathan the camper trailer and Max the GeoUte. And our last day before heading home tomorrow.
Wow what a trek for us two but stunning views when at the top. Early start before heat and flies and give us an appetite for breakfast. Found at 6:30am. Now just have to look after the knees on the way back down!
Thanks for the smiley jasenjanine

Day 18 of our Adventure to the northern Goldfields and now in the Wheatbelt. And we are still exploring around the Toodyay area before sadly heading back to the city.
Megawat60 and I really wanted to try this cache, so a plan was made for an early start, easy when camping. He drove Max as far as safely possible and we trekked/ climbed/ puffed the remaining 300m. I called in my inner goat and looked in one spot near GZ but it was him who made the find.
What a reward to find this cache! Took the pics and signed the log. Thanks jasenjanine for the cache and the early morning jaunt, a fave from me!

Headed up to Toodyay for the Wheatbelt science event and stopped along the way to grab some caches. All the caches were found quickly except one we couldn't find. Somehow we approached this one wrong and we were still 250 metres away when the hubby decided to get out and walk it while I stayed in the air conditioned car lol... He found the cache ok but some how lost his pen so he has signed our name in charcoal TFTC jasenjanine
Forgot that this was the one for mountaineers. Got to the tanks and decided the car was going to stay clean rathe than drive through the puddle at the bottom of the hill. Opted to walk instead and once we were at the bottom of the gz mountain, muggle hubby decided he was not going there. Realised that it had to be at the top even though gps was not moving much at all. the view was definitely worth the climb but so glad to sign the log as well. Great cache location so will award a fave. TFTC jasenjanine.
Originally found under family caching name "clan-wallace". Geohubby wants his own caching name, so I get to re log them for him!
who's bright idea was it to tackle this one? oh yeah it was mine. Geohubby did not want to attempt the climb, so I said "no worries, I'll do it" I thought he would have taken pity on me sooner but I was about half way up before he passed me, muttering something about 'don't forget what goes up must come down'. He said the views were magnificent, don't know, couldn't breathe....must have been lack of oxygen at high altitude!! I will award a favourite but I am not sure if its for you or me. TFTC
Magnificent view! No 4WD for us so we walked the nearly 800m from the water tanks.well worth the adventure! A fave point. TFTC

I was in Perth over the weekend as geo-hubby was working back home. Teamed up with iluvtrekking to head out to Toodyay and Northam collecting a few caches. This proved to be a real adventure as not being familiar with the area, we took a while to find the correct access to the reserve. Mr iluvtrekking was in his element negotiating the sometimes rutted and bumpy track but we managed to park within 61 mts of gz. He wanted to continue up the steep incline and make it a drive-by but I was ready to make a jump to exit the car so he grudgingly obliged me. Scrambled up the gravelly incline and admired the awesome view while searching for the container. Thanks jasenjanine

It took us a while to find the correct entry point that led us to GZ, what a place, fantastic. Thanks jasenjanine for placing a cache in this fascinating location.
And a reward it was, We were looking for somewhere to walk this morning and this fit the bill as we were going to the farmers market in town.
After parking at the tanks we wandered down the track admiring the reflections in the stones from the morning sun. They all seem to glitter up here.
We then reached a steep valley and we gingerly guided the stroller down and back up the other side. All the while admiring the surrounding wildlife and bush.
About 80mtrs we faced an even steeper slope and somehow managed to get the stroller up there (not recommended). The last 20 meters involved carrying the youngest while the other two went ahead and located the cache.
Wow what a view.
We opened the cache after pausing to catch our breath and admire the view. Lo and behold we find a Richlink tag. What a surprise after finding a Richlink cache in Busselton just 5 days ago. Thanks for bringing us here Jasenjanine what a fantastic place.

Some how managed to drive (not sure if I was suppose too) within 80 Mtrs from gz
Up the hill and a quick find was had

Great place for a cache! Jaseandjannine I've been seeing your name on countless logs around Perth, great to find a cache of yours! TFTC!!
Another huge hill on my morning run but what a view. A great location well worth the climb, at least its all downhill from here.

Hadn't planned on any caching today so managed to park far, far away. My word, it was worth it. Walked up into the open Wandoo woodland, then up, up to this special little knoll with fantastic views.
No chance I'd have come here if it wasn't for geocaching. I'll be bringing the family back for an orchid hunt next month!
Thank you jasenjanine for the cache, (have a favourite point). That's three Toodyay caches today and three favourite points. I appreciate not having to pick up any litter!

Speaking to the CO the other day and said we were coming to Toodyay she asked if I had noticed their cache, yep I had
After doing the 'Toodyay Today'cache we continued on down the track, so glad had the 200 series as I wouldn't have taken my car down the track. Continued on trying to get as close to the flag on Nuvi as we could
Arrived at the Rifle Range Butts very easily just a shame the CO didn't give me warning of where I had to go for the cache . Lucky it was still early in the morning so the knees were up to it with the help of my caching stick.
Off I trekked and made my way ever so slowly there. Admired the views [^] while waiting for gps to settle then once it did pounced on the cache nearby
Then back to the Butts (thankfully not on my butt ) to take some pics
TFTC jasenjanine
Awarding a fav as never would have known about this place if it wasn't for your cache

Yoooo. Another first to find for me. This is a very nice hide and it took me a few minutes to locate. A very good view from there and I have lived in this area for almost ten years and didn't even know this was here. TFTC and for the adventure
