I noticed that this cache has been temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the *archive listing* link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

If you plan on repairing this cache, **please log a note to the cache** (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

Checked on Dickson Wetland's on the weekend. Yep it's been muggled. A replacement is on the way.

Tried in vain today. Did all WPs and they worked fine and let me to a likely final GZ but for thr live of me I could not find anything there. Hint also made no sense to me but it could be that it is gone, since there are not than many places to hide something here, or I made a mistake somewhere with my calculations.... will watch this space.

Tried a couple of weeks ago but forgot the compass. Came back to-day and had a bit of trouble with the light pole, but after a couple of tries got some reasonable looking figures. When I found WP 2 it was obvious I was on track and soon had the cache in hand. Nice disguise of container. TFTC.

I had visited previously but short of time and by then going to be late had to leave the cache find for another day. So today I found myself in the area for work unexpectedly, and as it worked out, with some spare time after. Perfect! On a beautiful sunny winters day I made the short walk to GZ and While wondering which structure I might find the cache on spotted it! Cache was a little unexpected but in a good way, thanks for the cache MajuraHathi.

Hot day out caching with runner5ive. Second for the day. Hope we survive the heat.

16-Dec-17
After a long time of figuring out the coords. Mainly because of the heat melting our brains, but Youban was very confident of our sums and got there in the end. Interesting way to use the surroundings and technology. Like the effort on the camo. Time to get a drink! It's HOT out here! Tftc!!!

16-Dec-17
Out with dty73 & the heat was getting to us. Spent way too long messing with wp1 & wp2 only to find that we were right all along. We headed to GZ and were amazed to find ourselves looking at the cache. This deserves a favourite point from us as we really had to work for this one. Careful to preserve the camo when opening the cache to sign the log. Kutgw

I tried this half-heartedly a while ago and found waypoint one, but couldn't be bothered trying the rest. Today I was walking past on a day off and thought hey, let's give it another go. I wasn't really planning to hunt for caches. I had some dodgy co-ordinates but that's because I wasn't quite pointing my compass in the right way. Once that was fixed, everything fell together and it pointed me towards a very cool cache. I love when people make an effort with their caches. So thanks for giving me a bit of enjoyment on this quick stroll.

Nice multi to the wetlands. I managed to get all the info without any real problems, the angles worried me a little until I noticed the most significant digits of the angle were used for most significant decimal calculations and so on, so this alleviated the reliance on extremely precise angles. The container itself was a bit of a surprise, but very cool

30-May-17
Had tried this one sometime last year but couldn't make the find. Came back here today, recalculated and finally made the find. At least I was on the right side last time. Just about 100m out lol.

15-May-17
An interesting stroll around an area I was not familiar with. Managed to get all the details despite the presence of muggles enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. The container was excellent and unique and worth the FP. TFTC MajuraHathi

07-May-17
During an early morning caching dash, I completed this multi, having started it almost 26 months ago (minutes before the Pi Day 2015 event.) I still had, stored in my memory banks from that day, the information gathered at the starting coordinates. But I needed to do more, of course. At last, today I returned to complete the geomission. I collected the necessary numbers from waypoints one and two. At my calculated GZ I couldn't see anything except a startled fox (which in turn startled me - a fox so close to the city!), so I went back to the two previous waypoints to double-check all the information, and re-do the maths. I got exactly the same result, so I headed back to the GZ I had calculated earlier. By this time there was more daylight and I was able to see the cache. Yay! Nice job on the camouflage!
It rook me a few minutes to get the lid off the container. I was very careful about it because I didn't want to ruin the excellent camo. The contents of the container were dry, and there were a few little knick knacks in there, along with some Pokemon cards.

Thanks MH!

TikvaNZ and I were in the country this week and I was persuaded to head out and grab some multis rather than go home and snooze (recovery from my last trip). Two scores for the afternoon under blue skies and a brisk cool breeze.

Second cache of the afternoon. I had missed out on doing this one when I co-hosted an event in Dickson a couple of years ago, so was pleased to get feet on the ground finally. I liked the different ways of gathering the numbers, and the one that worried me slightly was no worry at all.

TikvaNZ made the find at GZ. A FP from me for the fun and the nicely disguised container - thanks Majurahathi!

With both AngelG27 and I in the country and a lovely day, it was time to do some more after work multis. An opportunity for some fresh air and a walk. I liked the ways the information had to be collected. It didn't take long to find the well disguised cache once at GZ. Appreciate the effort gone into this one. TFTC.

21-Oct-16
Whew! That was an epic hunt! Took 5yo geokid and I two afternoons of figuring out the waypoints, and then a good 15 mins of hunting at GZ. As everyone else has said - awesome container/camo. Most inventive we've seen yet. Thanks for this cache, obviously a lot of effort has gone into the multi clues and the cache itself! A fun way (and nice spot) to spend a couple of arvos!

14-Aug-16
We really enjoyed doing this multi, it's been on our radar for a while, but having some daylight really helped! Everything went smoothly and enjoyed learning a bit about the mechanics of the wetlands...almost a weird weir in fact. Such a beautiful afternoon too with a fabulous sunset.

Great cache, thanks

Solving this puzzle would be much calmer if my phone was not about to die:-D

I had no time to do any calculation check and headed to the GZ. Luckily I spotted the cache in few monent Smile

One minute later my phone turned off...so it was just in time.

I recon this area as I visited few years ago for an event...

TaurusSix and I went to get a few caches today and decided to get some multi caches. This was the third of them. I've been to the wetlands now three times to collect a cache or information.

11-Nov-15
This cache took me a number of visits to Canberra over several months. Finally this morning I made the find. I usually stay nearby so this cache is convenient. A couple of trips to get the information and then I had a quick look one very cold winter morning without luck. this morning the weather was ideal. I had an idea of the hide but it still took a while to find. I decided on this trip to use a phone rather than my usual GPS and this made it a bit harder. A nice container made the find worthwhile. Thanks MajuraHathi

cheers needed some paper for this one. great work. good camo...

Well this was a unique hide indeed, a couple things I have not done before!
I must of miscalculated WP2 but I managed to easily work out where it was to be based on the things you had to count [8)]
Very interesting ways to find the coords!

The cache was also quite unique, had a bit of a laugh at the camo Razz and had to be a bit careful with it! Thanks for this cache, haven't been to these wetlands before

03-Jul-15
Now that was some really different ways to figure out way points. QR codes and compass waypoints.
It had me worried for a while that I would never figure out the qz, but all was good and the numbers all lined up line the drains in the end.
A unique location too. I've never been here before. Even before the new wet lands.
Thanks for a great cache.

02-Jul-15
Found on a freezing day I ran around getting the information I needed and at gz I made a quick find tftc

30-Jun-15
But of a challenge to get the coordinates but I had a great time getting to know the wetlands. Thank you!

02-May-15
A wonderful afternoon stroll through the area while collecting the clues. Couldn't figure out how to bring up bearings on the 650 *sigh* but Pagan's phone managed just fine. After getting through all the WPs, we had a GZ. Coords were pointing a few metres away in an inaccessible area but we persisted and eventually spotted the neat container. Tricky getting the lid off but Pagan managed. Thanks MajuraHathi Big Grin

Found this today with Trodectus. Fortunately I had some help with this as it is not possible to do without internet capacity and accurate compass. I Liked to find the Quercus Suber (cork oaks) at the final coords.
Interesting decoration on cache container.[^][^][^]
received Wombat coin TB from Trodectus here so I could travel it to Adelaide.[^][^][^]
Thanks for the cache MajuraHathi.CoolCoolCool

I was in Dickson having lunch when the suggestion was made to find this geocache. I did not have it loaded onto my GPS unit, so I had to rely on Decrypter for co-ords and all the questions. He took me to a secluded spot - well, not really, there were school muggles everywhere - but it wasn't what I thought was the starting point. After a short while he agreed. It turns out that he'd had some assistance in getting the co-ords to GZ. It didn't take us long to find the cache. Thanks to D, and I also think thanks to Gw for all the hard work. I'll have to return sometime and wander around and maybe even work out the puzzle myself. TFTC, it is well constructed with good camouflage.

Bit of a group effort, and there it was. TFTC.

8910 and 8th of 18 found today.[font=Verdana] [Green] Had some of this done at the event but came back today for the last bits. Took me ages at GZ and the cache was only found as I was about to give it a miss.[/Green]

I am so far on logging all of my caches that I have to run a macro to catch up. I do apologies but thank you very much for your efforts to put out caches.
May the Caches be with you MajuraHathi!

# 11312 Found on our 2015 Winter escape trip.
As it is Pi day I had to find a few caches and also attend an event.
Joined up with Phetlern for a few finds this afternoon.
We joined the group on the hunt here and found a good hide at GZ.
Thanks for the cache MajuraHathi,
[Red]Roostaman[/Red].

Pretty tough multi. With a dozen of us trying to interpret what to do, we eventually put it all together with a bit of "fuzzy" caching. It worked and what a tough disguise on the cache. TFTC MajuraHathi. Seems you were there somewhere in the crowd at the Pi event today.

14-Mar-15
Found with MTrax during the Pi & Pie event. It was tricky to get the bearing and decode the waypoints. Accuracy was vital here. On the first attempt we were very close to gz, but unconvinced by our readings. Based on the clue we hit a likely spot & found what was clearly a empty camo'd gc container. We assumed the worst & that it had been muggled. We discussed our adventure with the remnants of the Pi & Pie event and it seems we actually found an old and archived cache called "Sparky" which suited. We cross checked our coords & found we were out by an insignificant margin so headed back to gz. This time we knew what to look for & MTrax found it pretty quickly. Tftc MajuraHathi.

This was a true team effort found just before the Pi Day Event started. Many thanks to KittyKatch and crew for the help along the way - I am learning new stuff every day. Was glad to be able to contribute thus feeling I deserve to log this cache. Easy find once at GZ. TNLN SL TFTC MajuraHathi

Whilst at the Pi day event it became apparent groups were heading out to get this cache, so I could not resist the opportunity to join in on a visit. Quite a few interesting locations and some fun things to work out along the way. Thanks.

I attended the local 'Pi and Pie' nearby event and while here joined a Geo-mob and together we found a couple of local caches. I did bring the compass for this, but would not have been able to read the QR code without others being here. I didn't even know what a QR code is, but I do now. The first way-point went well, but we struggled with the compass bit. In the end we followed the description to the last way-point, as the co-ordinates we got were wrong. I saw other groups struggling too. Then we were able to find GZ. A lovely, well done, well disguised cache. TFTC MajuraHathi.

14-Mar-15
Well - that was a whe lot of fun Smile
I was one of the mob who snuck off during the Pi and Pie event and did this one (knew there was a reason I had a QR reader app on my phone Smile
TFTC - Love the Camo too!
(possibly could have done it alone with just my phone but it would have taken way longer and been nowhere near as much fun - lol)

14-Mar-15
First I was afraid, I was petrified.
Kept thinking "OMG this is too hard, don't have an app for that!"
But then an event came along around here, and a group of us who were slightly early decided to do this.

I discovered I have a compass app on my new phone, literally 50m before we got to WP1. That came in use! I forgot how much I hate compass bearings, and I was seriously doubting my numbers (expecially one of them!!) but we got to wp2 without a fuss - and to gz shortly after.

I have been around this area plenty of times with my ex workplace (which is very nearby!) but this was a lovely way to show some of the features. Cheers.

14-Mar-15
Found with a group of cachers while attending the nearby Pi and Pie event. A great little multi I have been trying to find time to grab for a while. It was a beaut day to finally get here, though it did make me late for the photo. A well put together multi in a beautiful spot - gets a FP from me Smile

14-Mar-15
A more complex multi than the average, when completed by a group but had no need to back track TFTC MajuraHathi

14-Mar-15
7:00:00 PM: (2 of 2) Find#9756
I must admit this was a bit more complex than it could be , can I suggest the some of the degrees probably not required to simplify the math involved and maybe someway to check bearings as strange and I found a few degrees of error could give you a different result and original lead us to believe we where searching wrong area.
none-the-less after finding the actually cache for all in all a nice location for a multi and good use of compass albeit some messing around with numbers.
thanks for the stroll. perhaps I should have brought geodog for the walk.

Found 9:25 pm with LuckyL10n. Went out tonight with LuckyL10n to find this cache and for me it was also the daily find to keep the streak going. LuckyL10n had sent me on my way to scout the first waypoints since he'd already covered these on an earlier run which apparently was aborted when rain became too much. We then met up at waypoint 4 and the last GZ and cache had to be discovered, before long LuckyL10n had discovered the cache. However, my GPS/coords seemed to be off by a few metres. Log signing duties ANC honour was handed over to LuckyL10n. The camo may be starting to reduce but either way in torch light the container became reasonably noticeable with a shine.

#3021 - 21:25; I was headed out to collect MrDamage for our nightly daily, so he can keep his streak heading towards 366, when I received a text indicating he wouldn't be ready at the agreed time. Being in the vicinity of a newly published earth cache, I stopped by there for what turned out to be an unexpected first to find (you gotta love that!), before collecting MrD for tonight's mission which was to collect this cache after my previous visit was cut short just before a find due to a big thunder storm. Having completed the required tasks to calculate GZ, I dropped MrD off and headed off in the geomobile to park a bit more conveniently to my calculated coords. I then headed back to MrD who was making progress, before wandering towards GZ while he did his final calculations. Started the hunt where I had left off previously and with the aid of torch light, spotted the well constructed hide a few metres away from where the iPhone was pointing me, but tree cover and power lines don't help in that regard. Log signed and cache returned, we were on our way again for another quick drive by to round out the mission. TFTC and a favorite for the effort with the container MajuraHathi Cool

03-Feb-15
Like others, I was worried that I'd managed to get all the info right. I'd only used something to help me a while ago and that came in handy. Co-ords were sorted and GZ was soon in hand. Arrived at GZ and it took a very short search before the container was spotted. Love the work with that.....and good to see the art of making a cache/cammo at home isn't completely lost yet.

Thanks MajuraHathi.....Fav point for the cache and the use of others things......

The legs were a little stiff after a big day of caching on Sunday, FFLL no 2 needed a gentle walk and this one fit the bill. The wetlands were quite busy with runners and families walking and playing. Collected the information and calculated the WP's successfully. Worked out GZ and after a short walk had the cool container in hand. Thanks MajuraHathi for and enjoyable multi.

9225 + 1038 = 10263. A very nice find after work today.

At first I was a bit hesitant to use this as my daily cache, but decided that if it went pear shaped I had something else in reserve. Got to the start and my iPhone app came in handy. WP1 calculated I arrived and took the required readings - thankful at the accuracy requirements. WP2 all fell into place and as I approached GZ I was hopeful that all worked out - as it did ! Very nice cache container as well ! A real Corker !

Thanks MajuraHathi - A Favourite Point for an enjoyable Multi !

TNLN - TFTC !!

Cheers....

OK, that one had a few twists in it! Glad I hadn't deleted the app to do that, as I hadn't used it in ages! Then I was nervous about the bearing accuracy, but I needn't have worried! Container at the end was a classic! Thanks for showing me the wetlands MH!

3844. A great multi. I was a little concerned at times, but all turned out fine and a nice container to finish.
Thanks MH for the cache and a nice little wander around the wetlands.

19-Jan-15
I pass near here twice a day. No time this morning, so called in on the way home. Got the info at the start and worked out what to do with it, then off to WP1. Didn't read the description properly so my reading for STU was a bit out and the result didn't make sense as I knew roughly where wp2 should be. After adjusting the answer got to wp2, did the calculations and off to the a very nice GZ. I've always thought this would be a good spot for a cache now that a certain old cache is gone. It was quite noisy here about 6 weeks ago - you might have needed the 'ear protection' attribute then Smile

Thanks for the nice ride around a very familiar spot. It needed a cache or 2 (might be able to squeeze another in). A bit tricky working with the phone, GPS and paper all together so I was a little slower than expected.

Cheers,

(oh and nice camo too!!)

The geohound wanted a walk. Before I logged off the computer and set out I checked all appliances - as one does - and noticed a new and yet unfound cache.

I grabbed some reinforcements - F.E.Iron, I-CCCLXXX and the geohound and set off immediately.

Leaving the start point to get to WP1 we noticed a non-dog owner sitting on a nearby bench and wondered if that was another cacher waiting for us to vacate the first clue.

At WP1 we realised that we were missing the required hardware. While I was downloading an appropriate app on my phone, I-CCCLXXX tried to convince me that doing it with a (non-existent, because we only had one digital between the three of us) watch was good enough. I didn't believe him and and used the app.

The arrow for GZ pointed in a strange direction - I thought. So we did all the calculations again… with the same result. We headed off and lo-and-behold, it was correct.

We all loved the cache. Including the geohound who had more time to run around while we did the calculations.
