Thanks stainless-steel-rat for hiding this cache, I needed a find for today to update my calendar and find streak. Your Traditional cache, Ugh! The tat ya get for Christmas., was just what I needed. This is my find #1759 at 08:26 on 22/6/2024. FTF: Found with: selfWeather: cold and dampMuggles: nope Light level: goodCache condition: excellent Distance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
After doing the nearby Rolfs Letterbox cache, we wandered along the track to this one. Christmas was a bit long ago and fortunately I have minimised all gift giving with friends to try and avoid the waste of the exact scenario described in this cache description. That for the sentiment and the cache SSR.
After successfully retrieving Rolf's Letterbox nearby with tassietan, we decided to continue on and find this one.An easy find, sadly we had no tat with us, so couldn't add to the collection. Thanks for the cache SSR.
Had a couple of hours to kill between shifts, so why not grab a cache or two? Quick find, and all good at GZ TFTC
Bei schnem Wetter losgefahren um diverse Caches im Tranmere Gebiet zu finden. die meisten gut gefunden sowie diesen. Das Erlebnis im Knguru Busch war das Ergebnis wert. Besten Dank frs legen und pflegen.
We caught the bus to Tranmere to find the last of the 7 types of caches for this trip. We walked around the area, solved some puzzles before hand and signed them today, dodging the on and off again drizzle. Mission was completed. Thanks for the walk to here and cache. TFTC
Found while out caching with Zozetta for the first time in a few weeks, mainly finding ladder caches, and whatever was nearby. We started the day at Mount Rumney, then driving down to Tranmere and finally to Rokeby. Seven caches found for me, eight for Zozetta and nine challenges that we don’t yet qualify for found as well.
A quick find in the rain, certainly an excellent way to make sure that stuff you might not want gets used!
Thanks for the cache stainless-steel-rat!

TFTC! Quick find which was good as we were sopping from the rain by this point! Fantastic contents. Thank you! Zozetta and dencoxclan
Out with Wazza9 today collecting a few smiley faces around Hobart. This is what you got for Christmas, . Stamped log and replaced, thanks to stainless-steel-rat.
TFTC,
15 finds today.
Teamed up with Nana nel for an adventure filled day caching. The aim was to do as many Challenge caches as we could and any other puzzles we had solved before leaving home.
Added this one in while enjoying the walk around the area.

Benjigirl navigated us to GZ and found the cache very quickly and she went through the contents wondering why this stuff was here. After I described the cache, she understood.
Sorry, no Christmas presents from us but Merry Christmas in August!

A nice bushland reserve we have never been to. Found easily, took a while to remove the hiding material though. TFTC
Thank you 63ROOS lift me drive around to hobart and Beautiful weather and good laugh.. tks
We packed some lunch and headed out close to home on a Saturday morning to find some caches.
Not knowing what we would find as it being an 'regular' we were pretty excited to find it! Not long on our travels and we found it, let's just say little miss Viking was over the moon to find an awesome cache! Thank you for hiding something out of the ordinary

Geocaching back in action. After losing my phone down a waterfall on the weekend I was holding tight to this one (and I took phone insurance on this one lol)! A quick find here. Thanks for the cache
Was at the nearby cache so took my chance with a willing Miss3B to grab this. Terrific size. A bit surprised at the contents though

Found during a time when only exercise was allowed for me. Walk by this location on many occasions. And so here I find myself confined to homestay and what better time to catch up with my logging of found caches. Lucky for me I keep a list of drafts/bookmark list of found not logged caches. Never sure if I find the easy or hardest way to get to these caches, still that makes it part of the fun, adventure.
JABs.

Not sure it qualifies as a regular, but it sure was an easy find , and enjoyable too !
Alas, Christmas is over for another year.....

We were in the Howrah/Tranmere area today and thought we would get a few caches. Great idea, and we have a little bag of tat we carry with us while geocaching. A quick find and swapped some tat. TFTC
My wife and I were in the bush caching. Well I was caching and Mrs Woodyrothwell was jogging on the spot and doing star jumps because she is clearly suffering from a bout of gym-withdrawal.
I’m not sure whether gym-withdrawal is a real medical condition or not but some of the symptoms are
1. Running on the spot in the bush
2. Not feeling restrictive gym pants on your body
3. Feeling lost without continually looking at yourself in mirrors
4. Wearing million dollar label designer gym clothes to sweat in
I think I have earned a medical degree so thankfully we are now off for cocktails to celebrate my graduation. tftc

thanks for the cache stainless-steel-rat; bah humbug indeed!
Was initially unsure which way I'd approach this, and then saw the parking coordinates, ah yes, that'd be shorter, thanks. All good at GZ although it was a little exposed, so I gather up a bit more cammo so to help keep it muggle-free.
I was on the eastern shore with a couple of hours free between dropping off, and needing pick-up geoSonE - so what to do?
This was the last of 6 leisurely finds today between Lindisfarne and Tranmere to make my smilies a bit more complete. This one was the biggest walk!; and it's nice to get this one of my to-do list. TNLN (I was tatless today).

One of our 'non geocaching' daughters lives very close to GZ and she decided to accompany the bear and aus2 on today's geo excursion. She enjoyed it very much and has now become part of the ABear71 team. You don't often get to see cache containers this large and so well stocked so congratulations for finding a suitable hide. Thanks SSR
This cache was unfortunately missed on my last caching adventure along Tranmere on 26 Dec of last year, so today it was collected. The other cache I want to get is Pipeline 2.0 [GC7XCGH] but with deteriorating weather conditions it will have to wait till tomorrow maybe
The Tat in this good sized cache was so cool, some of reasonable value. I particularly liked the Blue Wren Nourishing Hand and Nail cream, not that i'd use it ha ha, just the decoration
Lovely big log book too. Unfortunately i never had any Tat to offer so i just took a pic of the Blue Wren package and one of the Cat Candle for a mate whom has about 10 cats lol.
Just looking through the tat was fun. Such a well stocked cache [^]

How true this cache is, sometimes you just think why....mostly for me the tat is eatable though and not suitable for the cache. HUGE cache with plenty of cover and a nice wander up the track from Trackworks. Took a smurfette and left a bouncy ball. Plenty of tat, I am sure the Geowife would like the wallet but left for someone else. Thanks stainless-steel rat for this lovely big cache.
Today we set out to track down most of the caches around Tranmere. At the end of our morning we ended up collecting nine traditional caches and one letterbox hybrid, with no DNFs. We've still got a couple to go in the area, but that's a great excuse to keep exploring!
This was our sixth cache for the morning. Being pretty unfamiliar with the area, we took a wrong turn and didn't realise it until we were a good 100m down the wrong track. Rather than double back, we elected to undertake a bit of light bush bashing, which eventually put us at the GZ. The cache was quite easily located once there, and we were pleasantly surprised just how large it was! We've come across smaller "large" caches previously!
This was a very well-stocked cache in a beautiful location, so well deserving of an FP from us.

Boy that was not so simple. Trails look clear and well made on the map. Bit of bush bashing got us to the cache.

return to same placed and proper cover on the cache, look good!!

So my last day In Tassie after a spectacular weekend caching with the boys SSRAT and Goose.
They deserted me today to do ‘work’.
So left alone I decided on an all out attack along the beach and a couple of hills all on foot. All up I cracked around 22km and some ripper caches.
Great sized container, I left a little TAT of my own
Nice work mate, signed and replaced.

Greetings from Seattle!
Fortunately I had my GPS with me. Without it I'm sure this would have been impossible. Filled with a wide variety of SWAG, but took none. Dropped a TB.
As this was my 400th cache I'm also adding a favorite point!

This is quite a haul of tat. Except this candle holder. This is awesome. And mine.
Today we explored Hobart and surrounds using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found with Cows with Guns. Excellent size for a cache, will have to come back for swaps.
Found with snowone on a caching safari around Hobart.
Thanks for the cache!

Well I have not seen a cache this small for a long time. It reminded me of one near Mt Masidon in Victoria,
that was a bit smaller.TFTC

Found whilst we were in the area visiting family.
The cheetah loved the tat but we have enough of our own, so your container is still very well stocked.
Thanks s-s-rat for the cache.

Although an eastern shore local for most of my life, I'm not familiar with the tracks on these hills at all - so a little bit of bush bashing occurred whilst locating this cache - but it's all pretty open so no trouble. Always nice to get a slightly different view of the mountain when you head up a new hill! Cache is all good, still very well stocked, TNLN. Thanks for the cache SSR.
This was an easy find, which was very welcomed after I was still reeling from the frustration of another cache that I didn't find.
This was day 57 of our trip out of Sydney to visit the southern states of Victoria and Tasmania and it was day 15 of the Tasmanian part.
We have never found a cache like this before with so much tat available for swapping. However we had to leave it there as we are travelling and did not bring anything suitable with us that we could swap. After the log had been signed the cache was replaced as found. Thank you for bringing us to this area and thank you for placing this cache for us and others to find.

Seeing it is nearly two months since Christmas we thought we should attempt this cache. Wow what a large cache, left some tat and took the pencil case (the grand kids can fight over it).TFTC
Stopped at Kmart before I started caching this morning to get some stuff for swag so when read the description for this cache I thought"Great!! I can swap some of the stuff I brought for something a little bit useful".
I was wrong. It was all cra... umm Tat. Are you sure the people that gave you this are your friends? It looks like they threw darts at an Innovations catalogue to work out what they were going to get you.
All that aside, if it were not for the cache I would never have wandered up here to find what really is a good cache and it will be interesting to watch it and see how it evolves over time.

Hi stainless
Had a go at this cache this afternoon as part of my effort to complete the final day on my GC Calendar.
For certain reasons, I found the going a little tough (but it's not at all) as I had already over done what I could or maybe should have done.
Never-the-less, got to GZ and made a quick find, Sainting the cache at 1520hrs.
The walk back to the car was slow and deliberate.
Thanks for helping me complete my GC Calendar.
Hope you and yours have a great NEW YEAR and above all else a VERY SAFE one.
TFTC and cheers

I was having a late lazy breakfast outside so missed the alert. After coming back inside I noticed emails and a text. Out the door in abut 2 minutes flat but too late. Beaten by our 'caching neighbours' down the road a bit.
We parked at the suggested coordinated and scrambled up off the footpath the hard way, the kids wanted the climbing adventure. As we were searching for the best access we heard people coming down. Said a quick G'day without realizing who it was, but soon recognized Mr Membsec following this 'stranger'.
Onward to the cache, the kids a bit nervous of the bush noises so we took it slowly. We recognised the hide once in the area, spotted first by Miss J. I went straight for the log book while the others searched the Tat. Well Mr and Mrs SSRat, we must have similar taste. The egg and kids were happy to leave empty handed
Thanks for sorting out todays calendar day. We can save the walk at Green Point we had planned for another day. TFTC

*FTF* 9.30am (ish)
Shared with omaster Z (geo-son), aerial_tenille and jill_cycle.
Just ready to move out to go Sorell when notifications came through and so close to home. We all set of at great pace and scrambled through the bush into a more open area and then quick find of the good-sized cache. Many "goodies" in it but we did not swap, just happy to get the FTF. After signing the others wanted to get another near-by cache. Once completed we wandered back and bumped into gooseandegg finding their way through the scrub. Pleasantries over we returned to our original schedule.

stainless-steel-rat as I was saying to you a little earlier as we passed in the bush I knew I had no hope of a FTF on this one.
I don't about others but if this is the quality of tour tat then you had a very nice Christmas.
TFTC and have a great New year.

We love the idea of the cache so much and we had a xmas present we were keen to donate. Unfortunately we could not make it fit in the container, no matter how hard we tried. In the spirit of the cache we will give it to anyone who wants it - no swap required. TFTC
We set off early this morning to bring our elder daughter back to Hobart after being home for Christmas. Apart way down the Midlands we got two messages - two new caches in the south and not too far out of our way. After taking our daughter to her home and then calling in to see our younger son, we headed off to look for this cache. As we drove towards GZ, the area was familiar and that gave us a head start for locating tracks. After a short walk we were at GZ where we were able to make a quick find. All was in good condition and the log was quickly signed. Mr y'stassie can empathise with stainless-steel-rat about Christmas tat. However, Mrs y'stassie is a Christmas tragic and she had to go through everything. Thankfully we had not anticipated this cache when we left home and we did not come prepared for swapping tat! (Thank goodness Mr y'stassie sighed). Thanks stainless-steel-rat for the cache and good luck for passing on your Christmas "goodies".
