Got a little help from our friend team bnb from Virginia. They were very helpful and had the coords for the final so we were lucky enough to get this find straight away. We had attempted to work with a cacher about 7 or 8 years ago but never found the final so we hope it's not too cheeky that we log this one. We promise we have done the work! Thank you for the owners in nz and Virginia for making and maintaining this multi.
We are headed here in a few days. Is anyone in Virginia keen to team up with us on this one? Thanks!
Hi I'm a geocacher from the USA looking for help for a NZ partner to complete the cache. I have the NZ coordinates.
With the help of aaron611, we managed to get the coords for the final a few weeks ago. Finally got a break in the weather and a weekend to collect the cache, but to no luck. A large majority of GZ was quite badly waterlogged, up to and beyond the fenceline. Not sure if the cache had floated away in the recent storms either. Would need to return with waders, because my boots weren't cutting it.
Hi! Cacher from Virginia here looking to partner up with a NZ finder for this one and it's sister cache! Let me know if you're interested!
Up from Southland with Cantabrian Kiwicampnut to get the final piece of the PWGT puzzle.
Day 9 - Whangarei back to Hamilton. A few targets in Auckland as we drive through.
Kiwicampnut had promised a caching buddy in Virginia that we would try to get the coords for her if we had time, and we did... just. With a bung knee that has taken a bit of a beating over the last 9 days we took a while to get from the carpark to the posted coords. It ain't easy with a walking stick... The things we do for caching.
So though I now have the coords for Virginia (and have contacted the cacher who seems to have been on the 'waiting list' the longest), I am likely to be back up this way from Southland for a while to make the claim on the final for this one as we didn't get that from the caching buddy.
Thanks for the rare type of cache Agazo and vpdj

Looks like me and Hzoi are in the same boat, we could both use a friend in NZ. I have coords for GC5JN64 too. Need some help on this on? Hit me up and I'll track stage two here in Virginia.
Greetings from Virginia! I stand by ready with coordinates to the New Zealand final. If someone could please help me out with the Virginian final coordinates, that would be swell.
This was fun! A little confusing to do, especially since I was also working on a the continent cache at the same time. I'm glad we finally managed to get the correct cords and find all stages. Thanks for everything, team!
In the normal course of events, I'd never make it to New Zealand. Now thanks to tramyard I can enjoy a virtual presence. This was a confusing but fun experience and got to work with a good crew (jemchb, BlurryFac3, and QUE3NBE3). A geocaching highpoint!
ps. Particularly enjoyed tramyard's pictures from the cache site, very nice

This was awesome teamwork with tramyard, 200_laps, QUE3NBE3, and jemcjb!
Thanks for the fun!
Thanks for the fun!
After finally logging the reverse cache, we were going to write this log completely backwards, but, it seemed a bit too geeky even for this hobby
At any rate, we successfully closed on this one after a flurry of emails, an understanding NZ teammate, and a smattering of CO intervention.
NZ cacher tramyard found today and signed for the team of: tramyard, 200_laps, QEU3NBE3, BlurryFac3, and jemcjb. Thanks for the “adventure in teamwork” and TFTC!

It was good fun. Many for opportunity to join you Guys!
Great to be back in Puhinui Reserve as well.
First waypoint visited 10.12.2021
Obtained final location 17.12.2021
Sneaky hide at GZ and all good here. TFTC!

hello, add me to the list of folks in Virginia looking to partner up to complete this cache and GC5MP7F
I am in the general area of the Virginia portion of this multi and am hoping to find someone to help out from the other side of the ocean. Please contact me if you are interested.
If anyone in New Zealand is interested in teaming up for this cache and its reverse, please contact us. We should be close to both the Virginia stages!
Diverted off my route to pick this one up, and what a nice hide it was. I collaborated with 2bJPN back in September 2020 and they helped get the required final coordinates, thanks for that. Wet shoes after all the recent rain but no worries, all good here on a blank log-sheet to sign in.
I was out caching for the first 3 days of this week, racking up over 12kms walked on each of the three days, and getting healthy double-figure hauls in the process too. In line with the NZ Geocache Reviewers guidance on what Covid Level 3, Part 1 looks like, geocaching is permitted but not events or any new listings. It seems the NZ Covid website has failed to maintain pace with Lockdown level amendments and changes and is still lumping Geocaching in with Orienteering and other gathering type activities. Link from Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/NZGeocachingReviewers/
Day 1 was originally to be a 3-pronged caching trip; Puhinui, Stonefields/Ihumatao and the water treatment walkways where I had some unfinished (previous DNFs). The weather was great though I only managed to cache in the first 2 places and left the waterworks until Wednesday. Thanks to all COs for their caches.

I visited the cache today, and all is good with this cache in NZ. Since I no longer own this cache, I can now log it to convert the icon to a smiley. TFTC.
With A Little Help From A Friend In Virginia was transferred from Agazo to user rustynz
I was contacted by lumin298 and we teamed up to grab this multi and the reverse multi with two stages in VA. It was fun working with a geocacher I never met. Plus, this gives me my first find in New Zealand (I hope one day to visit and add more caches to my tally). Great concept for a multi and a favorite point from me! TFTC!
This one has taken a long time, but I was so relieved to be able to sign the log at the final today! Puhinui Reserve is a really nice place but very hard to get to for me, so it took a bit of coordination to get down here once for Stage 1 and once for the final stage. It was great to work with Team_Palazzo in the US who teamed up with me for this one and the reverse, and provided me with extremely quick responses each time. I really like the concept of these caches so this one gets a FP from me Unlike with the reverse, both stages here were pretty easy to find. A huge thank you to the COs for setting this up, and to Team_Palazzo for your patience and cooperation on these, it's been great to work with you!

For years I struggled with the "morality" or the "ethics" of this type of hide. I avoided multi-caches like this for years because I just didn't think it was right to claim a find on another cache at a location I hadn't physically been to. After seeing more and more of these caches pop up over the years, I determined I would actually go for it. I mean, if Geocaching HQ allows it and the reviewers publish it, then it's probably "legit," right?
Geocaching is supposed to be fun and even thought I've never been to New Zealand, I know I will sometime in the years to come. I'm working on my second retirement and I'm still young. I have years and years to travel, and I can't wait to visit a bunch of different countries I've never been to before. Of course, I'll be geocaching all the way. Well, if my muggle wife says it's okay, that is. LOL!
Everyone plays this game differently. I know that some people love this style of cache, and others will hate it. Some are indifferent. That's okay. To each their own. I'm glad I finally decided to team up with another cacher to find this (and the sister cache here in Virginia).
Thanks to **CyclicalCaching** for agreeing to team up with me.
Thanks to **Agazo** for placing and maintaining this cache.
My name is on the paper log and a photo was posted in **CyclicalCaching's** "Found It" log.
Thanks again! Cheers from Northern Virginia!

Teamed up with “MJBinski” for this one.
I had a few struggles to get him his final coords, but he got his final and the coords for me, it certainly took me long enough to come get this cache though!
Today was a nice day for it and we enjoyed the walk.
Thanks for the adventure!

Got asked randomly from Bubba Q. Jack if I wanted to team up with him to find this multi! Really fun multi which I've never seen anything like before. I managed to step in some cow poo at the final stage but aside from that thanks to the Co's for making this cache possible! TFTC. Fp given
Thanks Rafajaw for taking one for the team with the cow poo! I appreciate your willingness to complete this Multi-Cache with me. Also a big thanks to Agazo and vpdj for creating this type of Cache. Corresponding with a new friend half way around the World has been the best part. The adventure was great fun! Deserves a Favorite point.
If anyone is looking for a partner here in Virginia to team up with (and the sister cache), please let me know.
Anyone out there still looking for a partner in Virginia? I had a New Zealand partner, but they bailed on me because of COVID. Please send me a message. Thanks.
I would be happy to partner with anyone who needs help on the Virginia side of the cache.
I too would be willing to partner up with a KIWI to find your cache, and perhaps one here in Virginia.
Anyone here in New Zealand want to partner up and find this and GC5MP7F? Thanks in advance.

Once we had found the first stage we were both looking forward to finding out how to find a friend in Virginia but without even looking into it we quickly received a message from mcgmarauders and teamed up with them.Once the snow had melted mcgmarauders headed out to make an easy find and messaged me the coordinates for the final stage.Time for some caching again today so headed out to find the final stage. It was very hot but luckily it wasnt too long until we spotted the cache and signed our team names. Thanks for working with us mcgmarauders.
Pleased to be partnering with klh1328 on this fun multi - and the sister cache (With A Little Help From A Friend In New Zealand, GC5MP7F).
A long time ago on a visit to Puhinui Reserve we found the first waypoint and made a note of the coords for A Friend in Virginia - and then mislaid them.
Recently we decided it was time to put some effort into finding these two international Friend caches, so returned to Puhinui Reserve to rediscover both the waypoints. With that achieved, we contacted PhMj and Sassysaki who had put a note on the cache page asking for a kiwi partner. Although they had since moved quite a distance away, they quickly replied that they were keen to partner with us. They gave us the coords for wpt 2 here in Auckland, and after finding that, we were able to provide them with the coords for their Virginia final.
Once we had received the coords for our Auckland final from PhMj and Sassysaki (thanks!) we made plans for a caching trip to collect this epic cache, plus the final of it's UK sister cache.
On arrival at GZ we could not immediately spot the hide, and started to feel the pressure of not wanting to let our Virginia friends down. But we weren't going to give up that easily, and eventually spotted the sneaky hide. Signed the log with a big sigh of relief! Thanks Agazo for an interesting caching experience, and thanks also of course to PhMj and Sassysaki for their friendly messages and great partnership. Adding a Favourite point.

SassySaki and I partnered with kiwicouple to find this cache. Earlier this year, we relocated from Sacramento, California to Arlington, Virginia. We drove the entire length of the United States coast to coast with our 3 cats and spent 3 month in a one bedroom apartment in Joyce Street, near the Pentagon while looking for more permanent accommodations. A local geocacher pointed out the Virginia geocache and its New Zealand companion, and we were interested. We did a similar one in California that required a partner in Switzerland and it was a great experience for us. So we posted a note seeking a partner in New Zealand for the Virginia cache. And then we moved to Maryland and forgot about it.
A few weeks ago, kiwicouple contacted us about wanting to partner with us and we got really excited about finding this cache. And then we thought: what if the final is closer to North Carolina hundreds of kms south? But we committed to finding it and we let our new partners know that we were interested. The search was on.
We got the wp2 coords to the Kiwi cache before we made it down to wp1 of ours, so we went down to Virginia a week ago and got the final coords for their cache as well as the wp2 coords for ours. Kiwicouple then sent us the final for ours and today we claimed the find for both our teams also.
We can’t thank kiwicouple enough for their help and making it possible for us to claim two very difficult finds. And thanks for the CO for placing and maintaining this hide.

PhMJ and I teamed with kiwicouple to find this cool multi. We worked with Turako and others a few years ago to do a similar pair of geocaches in California and Switzerland, but this por of caches doubled the distance. To be honest, we had forgotten about these until kiwicouple contacted us a few weeks ago. Last weekend we drove over 46 miles (74 kms) to get stage one of the sister cache and stage 2 of this one them. This week we repeated the process to get the final to the other cache.
Many thanks to kiwicouple for teaming up with us!

Many thanks to ABCDF4 and Eyespyben for being my very patient, determined NZ partners on this! It was a long search from start to signing. Appreciate all the traveling you did to make this one happen.
Got your "we've signed!" message the morning I was getting ready for our group's spring picnic + CITO, so not *writing* this log until a day or so later but keeping the date 5/5 for accuracy.
Great to team up with folks on the other side of the world Love these cooperative caches! Thanks again

I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) This requires me to get 25 badges 5 of which need to be gemstone badges. So each time I now go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal
Team up with hopupoffme for this one it was bit of a walk over farm land watching out for cow pads along the trail to cache
Thanks for the cache

Find #3685
I teamed up with Scoria for this one.
These might be my new favorite type of caches.
I found s2 a few weeks ago on a jaunt over to Nova.
I feel like I should have more to say...but I don't. I'll edit this if I come up with something.

This one took a little longer to complete than I intended with the first bit being done on 2-Dec and the final stage being done some four weeks later on the 30th.
Getting to WP1 was easy and straight forward with it being a perfect day and and pleasant stroll. I struck a problem at WP2 of the sister cache but that is talked about in the other log. I then needed to allow time for WP2 to be located state side which while done promptly, did mean a return trip as I was only in the area a short time (up here to get a visa to travel to the states of all places).
The final leg was and easy walk but somewhat longer than I expected, which coupled with other activities I planned around the trip meant had to forgo a couple of D/T matrix fillers and still we didn't get home until well after midnight.

Hi, I'm looking to help someone in New Zealand with this and the sister cache. Please message me.
Annandale isn't particularly close to me - about a half-hour's drive in non-rush-hour traffic - but I'm willing to take a trip to Stage 2 in Virginia to see if I can find it.
Any NZ caching buddies out there who'd like to work on this and its sister cache with me?

I teamed up with kiisikwa to work on the coordinates for this cache and its sister cache in Virginia. It took a while before I got the chance to take the walk to sign the log for this one but finally today everything fell into place. It has been an interesting challenge to work on and it’s been great meeting kiisikwa. So. I gained my Virginia souvenir when I’d never actually thought of caching there - - - but that has piqued my interest. Hopefully kiisikwa will be inspired to visit NZ one day and geocache his way around the country.
Thanks Agazo for the cache.
Thanks Agazo for the cache.
With a 2nd trip from her home up to the final site, Sidewaze was able to complete the doublet of NZ and VA pairs and signed our name to this log. It was a real pleasure working with Sidewaze and discovered more in common than I might have initially guessed. Readers of this log are probably already true believers, but it is true that Geocaching is one of the easiest ways to meet interesting people who love the outdoors. Our first NZ cache. Thanks to Agazo and vpdj for keeping this interesting pair running.
Do any local cachers want to complete this and a sister cache.... I have been contacted by people in VA, but I have already done them..... Message me an I will forward you contact details....
Partnered with GLAD-NZ on this one and its US-NZ-US corollary (which we finished on February 10). I had contacted him out of the blue, based on some of his recent finds in the area, not realizing that he was a visitor from Wellington (though regularly comes to Aukland on business). So, he certainly had the more difficult task, logistically and otherwise.
This is such a fun concept. (We completed a domestic version this past summer, involving Virginia & California.) Thank you to the COs for setting this up and maintaining all the stages.

Teamed up with rlobecker after providing assistance to an earlier one a month earlier.
WP1 quick n easy and cache in good order and remains well in place.
WP2 ... rlobecker was super fast getting and passing the coords.
WP3 (final) enjoyed the walk. Got to GZ and thought omg, nothing obvious here. Went into search mode thinking maybe coords wrong but nope. Needed to put in a full 5 mins until that ahhhh moment came about. Signed both mine and rlobecker names.
Cache in good shape.
GLAD to have this one as had to fit in the find on a trip up from Wellington.
Enjoyed the challenge so thanks to CO’s and given a fp for setting up.

Teamed up with the Malfoys in VA. to tackle this multi. The Malfoys were super quick at their end to provide the details at our end.
As it was such a hot Xmas eve day, we decided it would be nice day to earn the yellow smiley. Wandered to GZ & after a very brief search came up with the cache. Enjoyed this multi, thanks and many thanks to all the Malfoys for their efforts. TFTMC

Edit: We've teamed up with avoyager to complete these two caches.
My daughter and I found the coordinates you need for Stage 2 over the summer and are still looking for a partner. Message me if you're interested in joining forces!

Cache number 3571. Recently I was looking at caches in Auckland and noticed this one. I called and picked up the first stage a couple of weeks ago. I then contacted effstop (who was working with wilsonjw) at the USA end. He was able to provide his needs. After 2 visits to his stage 2 in NZ I had his final in hand. With this relayed back to him I waited until the weekend to completed my final. After walking around at GZ for awhile I finally spotted the cache. Phew. After all the effort (4 visits over the Bombays) I was pleased not to have a DNF. Cache all good. I enjoyed the challenge and finding a new contact. Thank you for this cache. And a Fav point from me
WilsonJp and I originally started working on this cache together with someone else but for whatever reason that fell through the cracks. KayGeeDee contacted me a couple weeks ago about this and I was more than willing to help him. I sent him what I had and he went to work and completed his part of the cache. I'm grateful for his efforts and for making a new friend! Thanks for the cache!
Myself and Nemo Consqeutia would like to partner up with someone to do this cache. Anyone interested?
If anyone is looking for help with Stage 2 in Virginia, please let me know...I'm available.
I'm in Virginia, and I'm usually somewhat friendly!
My 5 year old daughter and I are heading out to stage 1 of GC5MP7F: With A Little Help from a Friend in New Zealand this afternoon. She's out of school for summer so we will have plenty of time to help. Let me know if you want to team up!
Edit: We've found the coordinates for stage 2 of GC5MP7F in New Zealand, just waiting for another geocacher to team up with.

The LWC teamed with Supernanny in NZ to complete this and With a Little Help From A Friend in New Zealand. She braved cattle to make this find and we truly appreciate her efforts. TFTC
Teamed up with Supernannny in New Zealand and SP4Fun and LMNLanchot here in Virginia. The Ladies Who Cache were out one afternoon and were near the first stage of the sister cache -(GC5MP7F-With A Little Help From A Friend In New Zealand), so we decided to give it a try. Our adventure began with a quick response from Supernannny. It's been fun! Thanks to Agazo and vpdj for collaborating to enable this twist to a multi-stage cache!
Had fun teaming up with TrexM8s and LMNLanchot in Virginia and supernannny from New Zealand. It's great when a plan comes together to accomplish goals. Many thanks to the COs for making this possible! TFTC

My caching friends and I just completed GC5MP7F With A Little Help From A Friend in New Zealand with the aid of supernanny. If anyone is interested in completing this challenge, I can look for Stage 2 in Virginia.
Recently discovered a list of found caches that included a few I had somehow overlooked logging, so I apologize for such a late log on this one. Living in northern Virginia, I first found this cache on 03/02/2015 with the help from Gorbygorbachov, but once I found myself near S1, I couldn't resist making this multi-cache find truly official. I stopped by S1, used what I had already once seen at S2, and then made my way towards S3, where I was able to put pen to paper (well, more accurately, pencil to paper) and sign the final! And while there were many fun caches on this fabulous trip to NZ, this one was pretty memorable because of that. The short hike it took to get to the final was nice too. TFTC! This was a great one!
I returned from my dash through Maryland with my 4000th find in my back pocket to discover that my 4001st find in my inbox. I found stage two of this one awhile back and forwarded the information to the Davidson clan. He promised me a Christmas present and here it was. My thanks to the Davidson Clan for starting out my next 1000 finds with a bang. If you're ever in DC let me know.
Well thanks to my team mate originalta for having patience and waiting for me to get back to the area of GZ. This was a race for me to get from the carpark to GZ and back to the car before the carpark was locked. I made the trip up to Auckland especially to get this cache as I had promised Original ta I would be there before Xmas and looking at my calendar I was running out of time quickly. I did manage to get a couple of traditional caches while here as well so that made the trip north worth while.
Thanks to the cache owners for setting this up.

It appears I'll be heading to the area of Stage 2 if anyone is wanting to team up. Let me know, and if I'm within reason of getting Stage 2, I can check it for you!
The Bulls were getting close but made my way through to the final cache. Teamed up with Zorrobarnes to complete. Tftc. Had fun with these multis.
After a 5+ hours, 6 miles and 15 caches on Sugarloaf Mountain, Jeanne and I arrived home to find that we just qualified for a cache in New Zealand! How cool is that! A big thanks to suprawoman for a very quick response to our request for a NZ partner and for her follow-up to make it possible. TFTC.
I teamed up with SeakPeakRS on this one over a year ago along with the sister cache in Virginia. The final stage coordinates were received but it has taken me until now to get back out to Puhinui to collect the cache. Luckily SeakPeakRS had also teamed up with another team so I wasn't holding her up . The GZ area was pretty boggy due to all the rain we've had so it was a bit of a mission dodging that as well as all the cow poo TFTC!
RDIP contacted me about doing the Virginia NZ multi. As we had previously finished a multi to do with the Netherlands it was very easy to work our what we had to do.
After getting the stage 2 / 3 co-ords sorted for both multis we able to find and log the caches.
Cheers for the contact RDIP and to the CO's it always fun doing a new challenge so thank you for providing these multis.

Thanks to Biartch79 for doing the NZ legs of this and its sister cache. It's been a fun long-distance partnership! TFTC.
I have the co ordinates for stage 2 if someone from Virginia wants to team up.
Completed with Tinytree24, GeoRick402 & GeoAPPS. Enjoyed working together to get this one, what a fun multi!
Completed with Bennett24, GeoRick402 & GeoAPPS. Thanks for all your help, was a fun experience!
A big thanks go to Bennett24 and Tiny tree 24 for helping myself and GeoApps at completing this multi. AIO TFTC TNLN
Teamed up with TheMenzies, Bennett24, Tinytree24 and georick402. Thanks to the CO's for placing this unique cache and thanks to our new New Zealand friends for helping out with both this cache and it's sister cache!
GeoAPPs is a husband and wife team from Frederick, MD. We love geocaching (who doesn't!?). We met while attending Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. We put the two together to get our geonick. We started caching in 2003 with our kids, went on a 10 year hiatus, and just started caching again in 2013. Now we are completely hooked. See you in the woods!

Needing a partner in Virginia for this one (happy to do the mirror cache as well) cheers
Finally I found a partner to complete this cache: squirrel nutcase (NZ). I’ve actually started this one two times before with other cachers who mysteriously fell off the planet after completing the sister cache, “With A Little Help From A Friend In New Zealand.” So now I can cause another stir because I used the geotruck to find S2 (TB5GXYB), I logged it as visiting and put 17,200.98 miles on it traveling across the Atlantic Ocean, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Australia to get to New Zealand and back.
Thanks for the cache and a New Zealand souvenir.
Thanks for the cache and a New Zealand souvenir.
We were in Auckland for a wedding. The ceremony was at 11AM, and the reception at 4PM. We had a couple of hours to fill and I was asked by my family if I would like to find some caches... Do I need to be asked twice?
I put out a request for a friend on the Virginia cache page recently. I got a bite on my request but things didn't pan out. In the end, I had to scroll back into the depths of the past. I discovered that Nothereeither was seeking a kiwi friend... After some communication, we got down to the business of signing off on our respective caches. I completed my end of the task today which brings down the curtains on this one. TFTC.
