Crisp clear morning. No mugglers and plenty of time to look. Think it is missing. An excuse to come back another time to look!
At the Blue Lake today with sveppi for a swimming event. Came to town early and did a little bit of geocaching. Couldn't find a hint object here, searched a few likely spots to no avail. After a while a boat arrived next door so we stopped our search. Plus we needed to go for the swim race.
No luck with this today. Had a good luck before muggles on a boat arrived but then ran out of time.
Beanadventures dragged Geokitten007 and I out of the house before anyone else woke up - not that it was THAT early! Apparently the grown ups needed a sleep in today? Thanks for the cache in such a great place.
Mum (Beanadventures) took my brother (AdventureBear007) and I out of the house first thing this morning so that the rest of the guests in the house could sleep off their celebrations. TFTC.
New Year's Day.
What to do when you are staying in a house with a whole heap of people, but you are the only one with kids? Kids who get up at 7am no matter what time you and the rest of the house have been to bed? You get up quietly and leave the house so that you are out caching at 8am! It was a beautiful day and very quiet after the noise of the night before. We took Granny so that she could learn some more about this crazy caching lark. This one took a while to find, but with the clue we got there. Pleased we were the first of the year! Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot. Geokitten007 and AdventureBear007 were my helpers, mugglespotters and finders.

A quick find on an evening walk along the lakeshore. Never been to Lake Tarawera before and I am impressed. Cheers.
TIme to head home to Christchurch, the slow way!
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

5.35pm - A bit of a scramble around in the dark to find this one. Co Ords seemed out but worked with the hint. SLTFTC
Out with two of the kids today we had three caches on the list to do today this was the first my GPS had me on the wrong side of boat shed to start with so I read the clue then it was a quick find. The place was deserted today no one around all the baches had there curtains closed with no one home so we didn't need to worry about. Muggles which was good. Thanks Noodlekidz
After searching around in the wrong area first, we finally found this cach. Great place to walk the dogs too! With some beautiful views.
Came out this way after doing a good long walk back up the road. Quite wet today so no one around. Got to GZ with my umbrella - read the hint and thought which end and where is the sleeper? None where I started looking widen the search and found the sleeper and the cache. All good and no damage to the plants The lake is even beautiful in the rain - very special. TFTC.

Searched following the hint but couldn't find anything there. Didn't go fossicking deeply into the aggy given the hint.
Thanks for a great find! We had good help from Kay a.k.a HiimK who collected her first cache today! So beautiful here, truly spectacular. Greetings from Sweden
Tarawera is a special place for us as we had a holiday home here for many years.Deciding to have a day around Rotorua to clean up some of the caches that have popped up since my last visit I spotted this one as new so had to have.Couldn't believe it when I spotted who the co was,man you guys get around.Suprisingly quiet here today so the challenge was accomplished quickly.Thankyou guys.
After three days without the Geomobile we were going a little stir crazy, so once said Geomobile had been retrieved we wandered on out to the lake to retrieve this cache and clean up our smilie face map again.
Not too many muggles around fortunately although there was a couple in one of the houses taking a bit too much interest for a while until we sat down and ignored them and they soon gave up watching. Then Mrs S acted as look out while Mr s retrieved the cache, which was well hidden. So well hidden in fact that we were beginning to wonder if it had been muggled as the co-ords were a bit out for us and had us down on the wharf at one stage. By persistence prevailed in the end.
Thanks Noodlekidz.
PS: Took the TB to further it's race to Denmark.

Another Dot Day to fill in on the Matrix...
Took a ride up to Lake Tarawera. We left a sweltering Rotorua behind and headed into an approaching downpour. We could see the rain building. There were a few swimmers about and a couple of watchful eyes nearby. I met the boatshed's owner and we talked about our foxies. I had to employ super-stealth powers because a pair of eyes was keeping me under close surveillance. Got it in the end, but not sure if I returned it well enough out of sight... but it was put back in place. It was just too uncomfortable to be hanging around, so we left... And just as the rain started falling. TFTC

#375. I thought I hadn't seen this cache listed when we came to this bay for a swim in late Dec. But a quick find today after the rain had passed and after we had another nice swim in the bay. Left a TB to continue its journey back to Denmark. TFTC
Beat you all this time! 1805hrs Have to be fast around here to claim a FTF. Shot out after work and was surprised to still be FTF. The usual seekers must be away on holiday. Still a few swimmers in the lake but all too busy to notice except for the mother scaup with her four cute ducklings.
