I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi Te Saus
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Having already found this cache, I knew what to look for and today Talla64 wanted to add to his smiley's and I joined him. The area has changed, the cache is missing and it appears from the logs that the CO may not have had chance to check it out. Might be time to say goodbye to this one.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
I need to go and see what has happened to the site. I can’t guarantee it is still there.
We think this cache has gone. Using the GPS, previous logs and the only place the hint could have been relevant brought up nothing for us. The whole area at the roadside, of gravel and grass, has been cleared and flattened. There is no place for a SPOR. Needs a CO check.
Mrs G had planned a while ago a little catch-up on a few caches trip, mainly a bit south of Otaki and out to the east and to the west. Today seemed like a good time to go now we're on Covid 19 Level 2, and the Memory Lane Challenge has just begun.
We came to grief with this cache as noted below, but the CO has kindly allowed us to log a find.
We messaged the CO to raise concerns about it and explained where we thought it should have been. As we were correct and would have found it had it still been there he has let us have the find. This is much appreciated. TFTC

Mr JoggIn spotted this cache first. He extracted the log, to find it was dripping wet. We poured off as much water as we could, and signed the log in a tiny remaining slot amongst entries from a year or more ago. As the cache was visible when we arrived, we enlarged its hidey hole enough so that it was out of sight (of muggles). Thanks for bringing us down a road we had not travelled before, and placing this cache. Note that the log paper is full and needs replacing.
Out in the rain at 60/60 or 80/80. Found pretty quickly. Last cache that helps us for the museum souviner.
50-50 is now 60-80 found with watcache , pop replaced the log on this one as it was stuffed.

Nice quick find here today with xsaveya this is now a 60- 80 sign not a 50-50.
Have replaced the log with a waterproof log.
thanks for the placement and the smiley

Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me but I could sworn the signs were 80 km/h on both sides. Google street view certainly shows 50:50 in one direction which explains the cache title. The fact that the title made no sense when I was there makes me think I didn't see any 50s. Anyway, the cache was a slightly unexpected hide which I happened to notice while standing around. Things are not good inside. A historical paper log is now a disgusting mess and a waterproof replacement is both full and totally waterlogged. I made an abbreviated mark on a bit I dried off but trying to write a full name and date was not worth it. TFTC but please do a spot of maintenance on it.
Enjoying doing some caching while visiting family in Raumati unfortunately the log was too wet to sign. TFTC
Well, that was a bit random but replaced cache as found. Couldn't sign the log as it was decidedly wet. Thanks anyway .
Stopped to look for the cache on the way to the beach. Took me a while to find it. TFTC
That took way longer than it should have I tripped over it before finally finding...
Took a while to locate, but eventually found the hint object. Log was wet but I was still able to write on it. TFTC
With things starting to get busy on the farm we thought we'd better knuckle down and make some inroads into the latest souvenir hunt before we run out of time, so a trip out and about in the Horowhenua was decided upon.
The weather forecast had looked reasonable when we checked it last night, but there was a steady drizzle most of the day, so these quick drive by caches were really appreciated.
Thanks for setting this up Te Saus

Nice to get a find here today and to turn my previous frown up side down. Log is full. Tftc
Cheers for the hide. Nice find on the way to the beach. Might need a new log sheet very soon.
Clue was very helpful once we knew what it meant. Cheers.

Many thanks to all the COs who helped make our geocaching holiday a great success
We left home early April and returned 21 May 2018. We toured from our home base up to a wedding in North Taranaki then carried on heading south right down through wellington and on down the west coast and back up via the eastern side of the alps some times going around in circles. Our aim was to get as many smiley faces on the puzzle caches that we had solved but of course stopping for many traditionals, multies and others as we went. some time we biked the bike trails or walked but mostly by campervan. we enjoyed the quite back country roads, many of them were metal but we just travelled along slowly going from cache to cache. Most caches were in good condition and I will remark if we thought it needs maintence etc.

It was due to be a glorious afternoon, and after running a 10km race yesterday I was looking for a few caches to do with my son that wouldn't be too challenging on the ol' legs!
So I figured this run through the back roads around Te Horo and Te Horo Beach would be perfect, and so it turned out to be.
Doing this cache on a weekend, or during school holidays, meant a reasonably quiet road. So I was able to park up right by GZ. However, finding the container wasn't quite as straightforward as I thought it might be, but luckily I've encountered SPOR's before, so spotted the location of the cache pretty quickly. We found the container and log to be in fine condition.
Signed the log as "T & T" on behalf of myself and ThatWeirdGuy04, and returned exactly as found.
Thanks to the efforts of CO's such as yourself, to initially place and then to maintain caches, this is a great activity for my son and I to spend time together, and fantastic for encouraging us to find new parts of this great country - thank you.

This one eluded me last time I was passing, but seeing all the Found lots I decided to try again and this time spotted the hide.
Log nice and dry... quickly signed and replaced. TFTC

Nice easy find. Thank goodness I was with someone that could tell me what the hint meant
Girls happy they found the cache. Container was a little damp but log nice and dry. TFTC.
Found on a "beach hop" from Waikawa down to PekaPeka. Maybe the hint should be "R" as "SPOR" used to apply but does not now. Gets a FP for a great cache name and a new acronym we can use to impress other cachers!
I learnt a new acronym today -and remembered when I first started Geocaching I was told to look out for them. TFTC
Caching with RosalieNZ completing the 100, 10, 7 Challenge. Cache log signed as ‘RE’.

Signed as RE as I'm caching with Ethnz this weekend.
This one took us quite a while. We needed to google SPOR and we read through some of the previous logs before we finally had a light bulb moment. Thanks for the cache.

Heading north to see the family and do some cache maintenance. The geocaching way - the wiggliest route between any two given points. Hey! Is this the inverse function of the salesman's route problem?!? I think it is!
Like others I too had to look up SPOR. In the end I found the cache, at a very un-S POR. Actually, it wasn't even a POR, which is why it took me some time.

Found during a day out with SAROC and Yeetrees mopping up a number of caches around the coast. After all the wet weather recently, the day dawned clear and bright, just a wee chill in the morning air. All in all, a fun day's caching.

Out caching with Yeetrees and Gonefishing with a trip to the coastal areas of the Kapiti and Horowhenua.
Took a bit to hunt out this hide, didn't know what "SPOR" stood for but we got there in the end. TFTC
Have now googled SPOR and its an appropriate abbreviation here.

Out for some birthday caching. Quickly spotted the general location from the title, the clue took a bit of googling, but now know a new cache acrynom. Once I knew what to look for it was quickly found. TFTC
Only DNF for the day. Poked around in some dodgey looking places near spot, but found nothing.
It's still there, found on a lovely day - decided to drive the new SH1 - thanks for the cache
The cache title had me guessing but all became clear when I arrived. I managed to find the cache without understanding the hint but I now know what it means - helpful if I see it used elsewhere.
nice quick find, one our way home with three kids in the car we were unable to stop for many caches this side of the highway won, so grabbed the couple I could, thanks for the placement, very quite area - being that the log is very wet its weather proof from the feel, hopefully my new stamp didnt smudge.
Once I stopped looking at the signs and looked for OOPAs, this was a pretty easy find. Not sure what the hint has to do with it. I'd ge for something more... volcanic.

#2728. Heading north today on a short excursion to find yet another skindo A-Z cache and build up my numbers to get over 250 cache finds in September. Stopped here at Te Horo beach to find several more caches for the quest. Was wondering where on earth this one might be hidden when I spotted it below my feet! Certainly an unusual hiding spot. The log and cache were surprisingly quite dry, despite the heavy rain in the past week. Signed and replaced as found.
This hide was a bit of a head scratcher for a while until I read GL in one of the logs.
Unusual hide.

I think this one will win the "filthiest cache of the day" award today, and it's on 1030. Located the clue item and thought to myself do I have to touch that! TFTC
Hint made no sense to me, making me wonder if cache has drifted ... current hiding place seems exposed and at risk of falling prey to rubbish collectors .. . log was damp so dried it out and then placed log inside small bag.
Easy find. I think it might need to be re-packed in better waterproofing.
The next person to come along should bring a new plastic bag for it

Had a reason to visit in the region today. Where could this be I wondered? Only one possible prospect at GZ.
Cache is muddied, that's true. In a dry season this is probably a viable situation. When the wet arrives I doubt that the same will hold true. I would encourage the CO to reconsider the GL- positioning. But good to have a cache in this new-to-caching area. Thank you.

Found with UlmusLynx after a bit of a search. The clue didn't seem to make any sense to me. TFTC
Found while staying two nights at this delightful beach township, and biked to this one. Sorry for logging this so late, I was gazing at the Te Horo area on Geocaching maps and noticed that I had not logged three finds while on holiday here. TFTC.
It took a wee while to find this cache in its rather unusual hiding place. As the log was a sodden mess, we replaced it with a waterproof sheet. TFTC
Found today on a long overdue visit to Te Horo beach. Like those before me, it is an easy find but the log is in such a bad state it is impossible to write on.
Found it but couldn't even open the log to write on it Didn't seem any point adding new paper as the cache is placed in such a way that the same is likely to happen again unfortunately. Creative placement though! Tftc
Quick find, log extremely wet could do with being moved to a place not prone to getting wet.
Swung by here tonight on the way back to Wellington, as noted previously log too soggy to sign. TFTC Te Saus, #8084
